"No trip to Jackson Hole is complete without a visit to the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar. The bar is one of the most photographed places in town thanks to its iconic lit-up cowboy. Here, guests can belly up to the bar by hopping on a stool made of old saddles and order just about anything they’d like." - Travel + Leisure Editors

Google
This place was within walking distance of our hotel. We stayed 2 days, on our way to Yellowstone from Texas. The bar was full of people on a Tuesday evening, with live music, saddles for bar stools, and a restaurant on the lower level, below the saloon. There is also a gift shop to grab yourself a souvenir. The gift shop is a separate entrance, adjacent to the bar entrance. We did not eat, nor drink alcohol. We listened to the band a bit and jetted. To sit at the tables, there is a drink/product minimum.

One of the best meals we’ve ever had. The flavor and presentation of food was beautiful. The elk tenderloin was delicious. Staff were incredible and made Excellent recommendations for our meal. They were attentive, knowledgeable, and kind.

Google
Loved this place! Just happened to see they were having $5 Bloody Mary’s and free pool starting at 11 AM on Sunday, and told my boyfriend, he was game and told a friend and ended up with a nice group of us showing up and having a great time!!!

Google
If you're looking for a place to eat, this isn't it. It's a bar...and a large one at that. Really cool environment and several bars to order drinks from. You can watch a game, shoot pool, or watch live music if you're there at the right time. But if you're wanting to eat, it's really average bar food at best. Glad we went and checked this place off the bucket list.

Google
What a strange place. Cocktails were good but also fairly pricey. That bar itself was pretty cool, including stools with saddles. The crowd was weird, lots of people wearing cowboy gear but to be honest it seemed a little cringe, kind of like if you wore an actual football helmet and brought a ball to a sports bar. I'd still go back just for the people watching though. We were getting drinks and watching a college football game before a dinner reservation next door and it looked like things were about to kick off with a DJ or live music. It was starting to get very crowded as we left for dinner.

Google
Pull on your boots for a great time! As the name suggest this place definitely rocks the Western Cowboy/ Cowgirl vibe which runs within the patrons and most definitely and tastefully into the decor. Love the saddle bar stools, definitely a highlight!

Google
It is what it is - you need to be a certain level of “elevated” to really enjoy your time here. That’s okay, it is a bar. Nothing to write home about. Dance floor is small but cute, had live music and billiards tables. There is a large sit down service area that is nice for watching the band. Expect a cover charge and mediocre mixed drinks - just grab a beer.

Google
Risotto was incredible!!! I took 1/2 home as portions were big. Dessert was amazing, peanut butter love. We were a big group of 16 and were very well taken care of! It was a little loud for conversation, but I would return again!!!

Yelp
No visit to Jackson is complete without a visit to the Million Dollar Cowboy! We went for drinks before heading to dinner one night. We particularly enjoyed the Cowboy Cosmo. Vibe is high energy and fun. The saddle seats are a great photo opportunity!

Alex C.

Yelp
Why does the main bar smell like a sewer next to the sound table... Jimmy and Anika are phenomenal bar tenders though, great service from them and I hope management does something so their great employees don't have to work near a sewage vent.

Laura H.

Yelp
I just popped in here for a looky around... reminded me of an old fashioned saloon you see in the movies. If you see a seat grab it. If you're at the bar you will be sitting in a saddle. Mirrors are great because you can people watch. Bartenders are helpful with getting you what you want and there is no pressure to pick something you are unsure of. I just picked a blonde ale and it was delicious.

Yelp
If you're visiting Jackson Hole, the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar is an absolute must-see! This iconic spot, opened in 1937, and gives you a true taste of the Old West. The standout feature? The incredible saddle bar stools! Sitting on one of those while enjoying a local brew makes the experience unforgettable. Bar service was also great, quick and friendly. The ambiance is unmatched--dim lighting, rustic décor, and live country music create a perfect vibe for a night out. One unexpected highlight? The mini corn dogs! They were the perfect bar food to accompany a cold drink--crispy, savory, and just the right size to snack on. Whether you're coming for the drinks, the dancing, or the live music, this place delivers on every level. Don't miss it when you're in Jackson!

Yelp
Stop by for a drink while walking atound downtown. We ended up staying for a couple of drinks because of how cool and huge this bar is. They have multiple bars within a bar, so the service is great.

Whisper W.

Yelp
Saddle up for a good time! It felt like I walked into a Broadway bar in Nashville in the middle of the afternoon. The barstools are saddle seats, pool tables, plenty of seating and great drinks! I got the Huckleberry Cosmo- apparently Huckleberry flavored have been my drink of choice the last few days - and it was very good. Played a few games of pool and went on our way. Wish I could have stayed longer and would love to go back some day. Side note: Their bathrooms were VERY clean!!

Nicole G.

Yelp
Huckleberry Cowboy Mule was fantastic! They have silver dollars in the bar top and the seats are saddles. It's cute and feeds into the cowboy feel.

Heidi W.

Yelp
This is a really cool space, I love the history. They have some cool memorabilia and things to look at. The saddle barstools are pretty darn comfortable too. They make a pretty mean Dr Pepper Old Fashion which was very tasty and really hit the spot. Servers and bartenders are working hard and friendly make sure you tip them well. I would love to experience this atmosphere in the evening for live music and drinks. We came in on a snowy day at the end of May and had a look around and a drink and enjoyed the space. Noticed a lot of food coming out and it looked great but we had already eaten so will have to try that another time.

Stef A.

Yelp
Only reviewing the bar/drinks. We didn't order any food - Great vibes. Must stop if you're in Jackson. The live music was great. Wish they had a larger dance floor. - Our waitress was attentive and kept drinks coming all night without being overbearring or pushy - get the huckleberry vodka if you're ordering a mule -make sure to take a pic on the saddle before leaving!

Felix P.

Yelp
Very cool place. Big with lots of space, bunch of pool tables, live music, good drink selection and the bar seats are saddles. This place is a must see if you're in Jackson.

Alli C.

Yelp
We stopped in on a Monday night pit stop in Jackson, and thought the experience and vibe was worth the $5 cover. The live music was great, people were dancing and the crowd had something for everyone (singles, couples, people of all ages). Best part for me - I practiced my 'reverse cowgirl' so I could enjoy the view of the room. Pro tip - maybe not the best place to meet your tinder date, because the bartenders are probably hotter than you.

Mena S.

Yelp
I Love this place! We stopped by a few nights ago. It's such a lovely place; it makes me feel like I was in an old Western movie. Jacob, the bartender with tattoos, is excellent! He makes us feel so welcome. I'll recommend this place and ask for him to get the service. The place is super hot, but still, we had fun. This bar is a must to go if you're visiting Jackson. The food was terrible, and the service in the kitchen was inferior. We danced a lot, and they had live music, which was amazing!

Kathy C.

Yelp
First time here last Tuesday, service was terrible. Waitress brought one round of drinks to our table, party of 8, NEVER came back for refills or to bring more drinks. After sitting there 30 minutes after finishing dinner we had to find her to request our bill, she was rude and said she would be there when she could...guess the possible tip on a party of 8 wasn't important to her. We ordered the "famous" bison burger for all of us...some ordered it rare, some medium, and some well done...every burger was beyond well done, charcoal was more like it. We will be sharing our -0 rating and experience every time we get a chance.

Debbie S.

Yelp
We love visiting the Million Dollar Bar whenever we come to town because it's such a unique place. They have good food and drinks. I love the burled wood throughout the restaurant. Fun place to visit.

Anna W.

Yelp
Visiting Million Dollar Cowboy Bar is a must if you're in the Jackson area. The live music and variety of beer and whiskey are amazing! Getting your drinks from the bar is much faster and the hospitality is better instead of waiting at a table. A saw a girl that was stationed at the front podium clap as she yelled to a group as they entered "NO. ICE CREAM. INSIDE!" If you didn't see the people, you would've thought she was talking to a dog from her demeanor.

Jan M.

Yelp
Fun atmosphere. Good selection of drinks. Bartenders were very attentive Average selection of bar food. The bison burger was good. The chips and guacamole were good although the salsa that came with them tasted like it came from a can. Great crowd and live music Loved the saddle seating at the bar.

Brooke C.

Yelp
Not the luxury ambiance I expected it to be. The food was better than your average steakhouse and service was friendly. I give it a 3.8

El G.

Yelp
Avoid Jacobo! As Jacobo and I made eye contact at the bar, I greeted him in Spanish, and he responded likewise. However, he disregarded my question about his national origin. When my spouse asked about sugar-free Red Bull, Jacobo failed to provide a simple yes or no, instead pointing to a mini fridge showing none without sugar. His service only worsened when he criticized our order, suggesting a Red Bull vodka was in order without giving us the chance of asking for it because of his rudeness. Jacobo's behavior was appalling and demands attention from management/ownership to ensure he improves his service and upholds the brand's standards

Dalan A.

Yelp
Tried going to a few times. Always closed and disrespectful to patrons. Tried to spend money in Jackson. Also upset that yelp is making me post a 85 character review when what I need to say is 15.

Socialle C.

Yelp
Great food! Great service! Loud and crowded , music is great! Nothing like this bar I wish they have one in California. I had a great time!

Sydney B.

Yelp
This is probably the biggest tourist trap in Jackson Hole but it's still a good time. We were drawn to it because of all the lights and I've seen a few videos of it on TikTok. The atmosphere is what draws you in. The inside is all western themed. The seats at the bar are horse saddles which makes a good photo opportunity. The drinks are standard and can be pricey. I did like that they have a beer that is themed after the national park. If you like tourist spots, you will like Million Dollar Cowboy bar

Grant C.

Yelp
This is a true gem and a must see when in Jackson. The bar is much larger than it looks from the outside as it spans the whole block. The place is dripping with cowboy paraphernalia, wagon wheels, taxidermy, saddle bar stools. The beams are all shellacked burl wood, which I've never seen anywhere else. There are several bars all over the place and it is still hard to get a drink because it's so busy. There are also cocktail servers walking around taking drink orders. There are bands playing, people dancing, busting to the seams. Drinks were fine, beer, some cocktails, nothing special. No drinks on the dance floor. Definitely check it out.

Seth C.

Yelp
Wife and I were out for a day trip, and decided to swing in for a drink. Not during peak hours, the establishment was relatively empty. We sat at the bar for 15 minutes without once being greeted. The bar tender was clearly more interested in hanging out with his friends than his job. Very frustrating experience. After waiting for 15 minutes without acknowledgement, we walked out, without having spoken with one employee.

Juan F.

Yelp
Look for Jacobo H. for the rudest, most condescending, dismissive bartender in the cocktail universe. Rather than go into specifics, no customer should ever feel so belittled and dismissed! Jacobo H. has PERFECTED rudeness! I recommend you send an undercover shopper directly to him. He represents the brand extremely poorly!

Linda R.

Yelp
Too touristy for me. Food is ordered from a walk up window where you take a table number with you to a table. Eating can be done at the bar where they have saddles as stools. We tried a saddle but switched to a table as the saddles require a long reach to the bar and it was very uncomfortable. Food was ok but I had hoped for much better. Would try elsewhere in a next visit.

Katy C.

Yelp
Million Dollar Cowboy Bar is worth a stop in Jackson. It's touristy, but the vibe inside is fun and they usually have live music. No one under 21 is allowed in, and it's usually pretty crowded. We stopped in a couple times while visiting town and enjoyed some drinks and conversation. The Reba cocktail is coconutty and refreshing, and the Wyoming whiskey was a favorite of our group. There are servers for the tables, and despite being pretty packed, they were on top of things. If you want food, order at the window and get a number, then they'll bring it to your table. The menu is pretty typical bar food - burgers, sandwiches, appetizers, and a few salads. There's a fancier steakhouse downstairs, but I've never checked that out. The wood features inside are really unique and interesting, and the saddle seats at the bars are always fun. Pool tables and a taxidermied bear round out this bar.

Ralph D.

Yelp
We always go here when in Jackson Hole and are never disappointed! Good food and service and a "million dollar" atmosphere! A "must do" when in Jackson!

Megan M.

Yelp
Oh the Jackson Cowboy Bar... I had heard many things about this place before I went, all of which made me even more excited to stop by. My friends and I went on a Saturday night, and at first it was pretty quiet. But by 10pm, the place was PACKED!! The name is extremely fitting because there were a lot of cowboys in this place. Something that surprised me was how everyone seemed to know how to DANCE!!! They had live music going, and the dance floor was absolutely full of people swing dancing, line dancing... It was so cool to see. I wish I knew how to dance so I could have joined them hahah! It looked like tons of fun and was something that I can't say I've ever seen before in a bar. The drinks here are STIFF. I got a vodka soda that I swear was just vodka... Needless to say it was shared among my friends since I could not drink it all. The decor inside is FANTASTIC! Such a cowboy vibe, lots of cow print, horns, hanging wagon wheel chandeliers... It was awesome. The music was pretty good, very country/cowboy-esque (not surprising). Overall I had a great time at the cowboy bar. 10/10 vibes.

Monica E.

Yelp
RACIST DOORMEN It is sad and disappointing that in this day and age we are still dealing with racism. Last night, my husband and I brought our out-of-town guest to enjoy the cowboy bar. He happened to be a black man from Los Angeles. The doorman let me and my husband in with no questions asked. We are in our 50s and 60s. Our friend is 48 years old, but they instructed him to show his ID, take it out of his wallet, and then began to inspect it both the front and back. It was clear they did not want to let him in to the bar for no other than the color of his skin. Shame on you doormen! Needless to say, we will never be back to the cowboy bar again.

Jim T.

Yelp
Had to stop just for the experience of sitting on the saddle barstools. It's a good thigh stretching exercise. Just had a drink at the bar so I can't comment on the food. Checked this one off my bucket list.

Debbie B.

Yelp
Tourist trap. Come in take a photo and call it a day. Service and food is not cheap or good.

Badglfer B.

Yelp
Waited two hours for burgers and fries. Never received. Went to food window 4 times. Was told each time our order was next. 8 tables around us came in after and were served. Drinks were mediocre. Alabama leading by 49 with five minutes to go. Asked they could switch to a more competitive game. Bartender said 'if you go knock them out, I'll change the channel' and then walked off. Service - O Drinks - 2 at best Food? Who knows - never got it. No apologies and no refunds. Far better options in Jackson including Wendy's and McDonalds. This place is an absolute overpriced, tourist trap - steer clear.

Qize H.

Yelp
Not a friendly bar for tourists. An Uber driver recommended this place as a cool spot to relax, but the food and drinks were mediocre and overpriced. Some local customers were not friendly to tourists. I felt that the locals were racist towards me and my friends because we were the only Asians there and got picked on. The bar staff just watched and didn't do anything.

Mindy C.

Yelp
I would highly recommend you NOT plan on eating here. Hostess couldn't be bothered to look up from her phone to greet us as we entered or say a word upon leaving....again on Instagram. Sodas were flat. We cancelled our food order once the table next to us got their food cold and where then pretty much told "oh well". Go in and grab a drink at the bar, take a cute pic on the saddle stools, but then .

Bill S.

Yelp
The Mrs. and I had a little date night Tuesday night and spent a few hours at the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar. Before traveling to Jackson Hole, my Brother-in-Law had mentioned the that we had to stop in for a drink....or two....or three. We arrived a little after 4 p.m. and the place was pretty busy. We bellied up to the bar and jumped onto a saddle. The barstools are certainly unique being that they are saddles. The downside is, they aren't that comfortable. We ended up moving to a table. The decor at the Million Dollar Cowboy can best be describe as cowboy kitsch. A little bit country and a little bit, tiny, tiny bit rock and roll. I read one Yelp review that described the decor as more dated than unique. Ok, I get that, but what do you expect from a bar in a tourist area? The service was excellent. Alli was behind that bar and really knows how to make a great Manhattan. Food is available for purchase at a separate window off of the bar. The food is basically pub fare. We weren't that hungry so we just ordered chips, salsa and guacamole. It hit the spot. The Million Dollar Cowboy Bar is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. until 1 a.m. There is a steakhouse upstairs that appears to be a new venture and isn't opened yet from what the website says. Parking is available within stumbling distance of the front door. I recommend parking in the large lot next to the Jackson Hole Visitor Center. Then it is just a short walk to from there. For the parents who want to bring their kids with them, sorry to tell you that no one under 21 is allowed in the bar. If you look under 21 you will be carded at the door.

Lisa S.

Yelp
We sauntered up here from the cellar after eating some beef and fish and played a game of pool. The place was packed. Since we ate downstairs, we were able to get our hand stamped for free, however, we were too early for the music and cover charge so stamp wasn't needed. We got lucky on timing for the game of pool and were able to take the table for a quick game. Fun stop.

Kelsey B.

Yelp
Exactly what we expected but even better! Tons of pool tables if you'd like to play, but not too loud or distracting on a Thursday around 7:30. The saddle bar seats are fun and definitely worth going in for some pictures. They had a ton of drink selections and the servers and bartenders were so nice and attentive. Live music is a super nice touch! We loved our experience here and would absolutely come again.

eve k.

Yelp
Most nights have a $5 cover charge so I put it off for a couple days and then when I decided to finally go it was $10 hahaha it was an experience for sure. I'm glad I went but I don't think I will make it a point to go back again.

Bev S.

Yelp
A must visit cowboy bar. Loud, raucous and pure fun. Wait for a couple of saddles (seats) to open up at the bar. Fun watching the handsome, hard-working bartenders. I enjoyed my Pitching a Tent cocktail.

Looziana L.

Yelp
Went here just to say we sat on the saddle barstools and took a pic. Bartender was not friendly at all. Drinks were extremely weak and mostly ice.

Elena M.

Yelp
Novelty place. Cool saddle seats at the bar. Knotted pine beams. You order food from the grill window and go sit - they bring it out to you. Drink waitress comes separately. Bison burger was tasty and the waffle fries good.

Andy C.

Yelp
Hokey but fun. Couldn't make it in last year but glad I could stop by this time around. Even managed to get the saddle seats at the bar. Service is fast considering the crowd. Can't speak to quality of the mixed drinks but the beer selection was good enough for me. Place was pretty busy and oddly there wasn't any music at the time as I think they showcase live acts but it was loud and lively nonetheless. Worth stopping by as a tourist at least once.

Sean S.

Yelp
Looked cool inside and reviews were good but they accused my fiancé of having a fake ID since it allegedly had more UV stamps on it than my ID (maybe because her ID is brand new and mine is from 2020?). It was noon and she is 26. Then they couldn't believe we owned a house together and told us to hit the road because that meant the address on the ID was definitely fake. Clearly a BS excuse to keep it an older/locals only crowd for lunch. Don't go here if you're under 30.

Joshua B.

Yelp
Solid 3. Worth stopping by, but the drinks are pretty terrible. The food didn't look good. Plenty of drunk people to enjoy some people watching or them stumbling around.

Nyla K.

Yelp
Such a cool place in Jackson. We got there a bit early and beat the crowd and got a seat right next to the dance floor. The band came on at 8:30 so we had an hour and a half to get tipsy to have the courage to go dance. The cocktails aren't great (old fashioned) so we stuck to beers and a couple shots (clase azul). There's pool tables, cool saddle chairs at the bar, tables, and a dance floor with a live band so you can two step. You can't beat that! Also there's a gift shop. The decor is amazing, stuffed bears, mountain lions, tree stumps and branches decorating the place. This is a definite must visit when you're in town.

Canon W.

Yelp
This place is the epitome of a bullshit bar Spent $300 and got kicked out because I wasn't ordering a server while playing Pool. I would never step foot in this POS bar again. And I hope you right either. Save your money

Kaila M.

Yelp
Went downstairs. The first clue should have been nobody was there. It was dark and looked like someone just put tables together in a basement. Food was cold, the service was lacking. The burger was dry. The fries were cold and tasted two days old. I don't know what kind of meat they used on the steak special, but it was rubbery and slimy. The bread for the steak special was so hard to cut with a steak knife. We came in from out of town and wanted a good meal. This was not the place and I do not recommend it. A manager was nowhere to be found. They need to shut this place down. Where is Gordon Ramsey.

Brittany J.

Yelp
It's really turned into a tourist trap. Over priced cover charge. Overcrowded. Sketchy crowd. It's just not what it used to be.
