Eat at Millside

Absolutely loved our experience at Millside! The food was exceptional—every dish bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive without being overbearing, making us feel genuinely welcome. Combined with the warm, inviting atmosphere, it made for a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return!

Great evening for my partners birthday. The restaurant is tucked away behind a micro brewery courtyard in a quiet location. We passed a few tables that are available on the terrace as we were seated inside the dining room. This was decorated in a modern style, white walls and prints. Nice ambient music playing to create a calm mood. Service attentive, friendly and informative. Good wine selection for all tastes and budgets. Opened by sharing Lyme Bay Crab Croquettes, beautifully crunchy and tasty, We shared Fruits de Mar platter which had a good mix of hot and cold fish. It was imaginatively put together with a variety of textures and flavours. No room left for dessert! Thanks for a great evening Millside.

One of the best meals we've had in awhile. Everything was perfectly cooked & beautifully presented. The welcome & the service was warm & friendly. Just the most wonderful eating experience.

We had a truly lovely meal here! We were after some decent muscles which we found at the Millside. I had the special lobster starter and the monkfish curry. My partner had a steak. And we shared a cracking bottle of wine. Everuthong was delicious. 10/10

My boyfriend and I were holidaying in Lyme over the weekend, both from Birmingham, we have plenty of restaurants in the city… yet Millside is the best meal we have had so far in 2024! Such a beautiful setting and a intimate dining experience. Although a small menu for mains, the starters are varied. I tried the escargot which our waiter recommended - who knew snails tasted so good! My boyfriend had the half lobster and I tried rump steak, also for the first time. Both dishes were presented beautifully and provided explosions of flavour with each bite, I’ll be dreaming of this meal for weeks! Thank you for such a wonderful meal and such attentive service.

Ate at Eat at Millside last evening. An excellent meal.. i had mussels followed by Dover Sole, while Jane had scallops then lamb.. and a shared cherry frangipane to finish off. Excellent service in a nice atmosophere and very friendly new owners Tony and Emily(?). A good thing we booked as many walk-ins couldn't get a table. Not the cheapest but great value and will certainly return

Fantastic lunch on a beautiful sunny day. Had the seafood platter and it was delicious! Great service and a perfect little spot near the old mill. Highly recommended

Dover sole was incredible as was the cod. Steaks were lovely too. My dessert was the best dessert I’ve ever had. The rum and raisin ice cream was incredible. Staff so attentive and friendly and can’t do enough for you. Lovely inside and in a lovely location in middle of Lyme Regis.
