Eat at Millside

A 10/10 experience Lovely food, amazing service and a lovely atmosphere All the staff were superb and attentive, our food was so fresh and tasted amazing Great value for the quality of it all Tucked away in Lyme Regis it is on my go back to restaurant list. Make sure you book a table as it’s so popular we saw dozens of people being told they were fully booked and no wonder 1 recommendation would be to remove the 20 odd shrimp and just have 4-6 king prawns, the faff of peeling them just isn’t worth it Thank you for a wonderful experience

Absolutely worth for a several hours drive! Came from Oxford for the lobster and it was amazing! Delicious food and deserts, and a wine cart where you can match drink perfectly to your meal. Separate huge thank you to the staff! Amazing service! Will definitely be coming back 💙

If your lucky enough to get a table your in for a treat, it’s a lovely restaurant in the back street of Lyme and the food and service would be hard to beat. The homemade fish pie was so nice and made fresh, beautiful mussel dish too and a fantastic curry with monkfish. This place also makes the best focaccia bread I’ve ever tasted!!! We will definitely return here it’s just so good.

Absolutely loved our experience at Millside! The food was exceptional—every dish bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive without being overbearing, making us feel genuinely welcome. Combined with the warm, inviting atmosphere, it made for a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return!

We had a truly lovely meal here! We were after some decent muscles which we found at the Millside. I had the special lobster starter and the monkfish curry. My partner had a steak. And we shared a cracking bottle of wine. Everything was delicious. 10/10

Great evening for my partners birthday. The restaurant is tucked away behind a micro brewery courtyard in a quiet location. We passed a few tables that are available on the terrace as we were seated inside the dining room. This was decorated in a modern style, white walls and prints. Nice ambient music playing to create a calm mood. Service attentive, friendly and informative. Good wine selection for all tastes and budgets. Opened by sharing Lyme Bay Crab Croquettes, beautifully crunchy and tasty, We shared Fruits de Mar platter which had a good mix of hot and cold fish. It was imaginatively put together with a variety of textures and flavours. No room left for dessert! Thanks for a great evening Millside.

My boyfriend and I were holidaying in Lyme over the weekend, both from Birmingham, we have plenty of restaurants in the city… yet Millside is the best meal we have had so far in 2024! Such a beautiful setting and a intimate dining experience. Although a small menu for mains, the starters are varied. I tried the escargot which our waiter recommended - who knew snails tasted so good! My boyfriend had the half lobster and I tried rump steak, also for the first time. Both dishes were presented beautifully and provided explosions of flavour with each bite, I’ll be dreaming of this meal for weeks! Thank you for such a wonderful meal and such attentive service.
