Mimaru Osaka Namba Station - SilverKris

"Designed for family travellers, this apartment-style stay blends homey amenities with hotel convenience in a prime Namba location within easy walking distance to two main subway lines. Themed around board games and play, it’s peppered with games on each floor and outside the elevators, and each room features a fun coin hunt. All rooms come notably larger than most standard hotels and include cooking facilities and cutlery, bathtubs and amenities. The one-bedroom Japanese-style apartment has a separate tatami bedroom and living area for up to five people, while the Loft Bed Apartment accommodates four adults and two children who will love the bunk bed options. What the rooms lack in luxury, they more than make up for in convenience and necessities, and the company’s luggage transport service makes travel to its hotels around Japan and to surrounding airports even easier." - Karen Fong

We had a wonderful stay at Mimaru. Unfortunately, my son had an accident shortly after we arrived in Osaka. From that moment on, the support we received was exceptional. Annie, who helped us with our heavy luggage from Osaka Namba Station, was absolutely wonderful throughout our four-night stay — I truly can’t speak highly enough of her. Alice was also incredibly helpful, and Chichi went above and beyond by arranging a wheelchair for my son. The entire team was outstanding — we interacted with around 7–8 front desk staff members, and every single one of them was exceptional. I honestly cannot rate them highly enough. A truly wonderful hotel.

This was the 1st Mimaru we stayed at during our 2-week trip in Japan. The room was spacious and in an apartment style. The beds were comfortable. Bathroom had separate toilet and shower/tub areas. There was a microwave, refrigerator and kitchenette was equipped with plates, cups and cutlery, which was great for our daily Konbini runs. It’s about a 3-minute walk to the nearest Family Mart and about 10 minute walk to Dotonbori. We couldn’t be happier with the staff. They were so friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again next time we’re in Osaka!

We had a really great stay with here, with two seniors and three teenagers. The rooms were clean and quite spacious, and well-stocked. The bunk bed in the werewolf room was a big hit with the kids, as were the staggering variety of games (you can’t get through all!). What was most outstanding though, was the service. They were really went out to make our stay a comfortable and enjoyable one; they were super helpful when we ran into some problems and we were v grateful. Highly recommended!

My family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids) stayed for 2 nights here and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel. The staff are helpful, friendly and go above and beyond for their guests. We arrived earlier than our check in time but we were given our room early which was a huge plus. This allowed us to start our exploration of Osaka earlier! The rooms are spacious and clean and the game themed lobby allowed our kids to have fun while waiting. The board games and scavenger hunt activities were unique and our kids loved it. The location is superb with a short 8 minute walk to Namba station. There are a few ‘suggestive’ ads around the area so parents should be aware but that’s no fault to the hotel. The same day luggage service is also a huge convenience. We accidentally left a piece of our luggage upon check out and the staff contacted us within a few hours to let us know. Unfortunately we were en route to Tokyo but luckily we were staying at another Mimaru. They coordinated to have our luggage shipped to the Mimaru in Tokyo and received it just in time for us to fly home. They truly alleviated a whole lot of stress knowing they were on top of it. We truly appreciate the staff and the level of care and communication we received. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Thank you so much!

We stayed at the Mimaru Osaka Namba Station in January 2025. As a family of five, it isn't easy finding good quality, one-room accommodation but Mimaru is perfect. We stayed in a kids board game room, which had a Japanese "double" bed (two singles pushed together) and three futons. The kids enjoyed the futons, it was like a giant sleepover for them! The room also came kitted out with lots of toys and kids board games, so they always had something to do when we were back in our room. The room was clean and had all the necessities.||The staff at the hotel were really friendly and helpful, and check-in was easy. There is also a 24hr laundry room that wasn't super expensive. The best thing about this hotel, however, is that it is a GAMES HOTEL! There is a board game room in the lobby area where you can play a variety of different board games, or borrow them and take them up to your room. There are also interactive games you can play within the hotel itself which were SO MUCH FUN!!! The whole family had a wonderful time.||The hotel itself is located in the downtown Namba area, so it is quite central to lots of shops/malls, restaurants and many different train lines (close to the airport train line, easy to get to the universal studios train line, etc.) It is also around a 20min walk to the Dotonbori, but you could also catch a train there. The area itself can get quite busy, especially in the evening, so not necessarily easy to get around with young kids and carting luggage from the train station. Once you're settled in, however, the location is very convenient.||All up, we'd definitely come back to the Mimaru Osaka Namba Station - in fact, the kids are already planning our next trip!

After a disappointing hotel experience the night before — the kind that almost made me want to get on a plane and fly straight home — arriving at MIMARU Osaka Namba Station felt like a breath of fresh air. The very first thing that stood out to me was the exceptional service standard. From the moment we arrived, the front desk team made us feel truly welcome — especially Josh, who assisted with our check-in that day.||We were traveling as a large family of 23 people with 37 suitcases, but Josh handled everything with an effortless smile, flexibility, and a calm, friendly attitude that made the entire process smooth and stress-free. He gave us helpful tips on how to get to the airport, how to send our luggage, and patiently answered every question we had. It may sound like something small, but after a long trip, that kind of service makes a world of difference.||I was also pleasantly surprised that the staff delivered all of our luggage directly to the rooms. This is something I’ve never experienced at other hotels in Japan — such a thoughtful touch that made us feel genuinely cared for. And it wasn’t just Josh — every staff member we interacted with maintained the same warm and professional service.||The location is also excellent. We arrived from Nagoya via Shinkansen and needed taxis due to the size of our group, but if you’re coming from Kansai International Airport, you can take the Nankai Airport Express directly to Nankai Namba Station, which takes about 30–40 minutes. From the station building, it’s just a short 5-minute walk to the hotel. The property is tucked slightly away from the busiest streets of Namba, making it peaceful and quiet while still within easy walking distance of restaurants, shops, and all the main attractions.||Our family stayed in a two-bedroom apartment-style room, and it was spacious, clean, and well-equipped — with a small kitchen, fridge, microwave, washing machine, and even two separate toilets, which is perfect for families or longer stays. The only small inconvenience is that bottled water isn’t provided in the room, but there’s a water dispenser on the 2nd floor.||Another lovely detail is the board game area, which kept the kids entertained while waiting to check in or out. You can also borrow games to play in the room. Plus, there’s free coffee in the mornings and soft drinks in the afternoon — such a simple but thoughtful touch that really adds to the experience.||Although the hotel doesn’t serve breakfast, there are plenty of restaurants and cafés just a short walk away, so finding food in the morning is never a problem.||In short: everything about our stay at MIMARU Osaka Namba Station was wonderful. The rooms are spacious, the location is perfect, and most importantly, the service is outstanding. My family and I will absolutely choose this hotel again the next time we visit Osaka — and I highly recommend it to anyone, especially families, looking for a warm and comfortable stay in Namba.

Our family of four had a wonderful stay here! The hotel's location is absolutely perfect. Situated in the Nippombashi area, you are literally steps away from Namba station, making travel a breeze. Right outside the door, there are countless cafes and restaurants, plus a Lawson's convenience store across the road for quick meals and snacks. The whole neighbourhood has an incredible, vibrant energy. The family apartment itself was fantastic and thoughtfully designed. The bathroom was modern, clean, and well-appointed. We loved having a door to separate the sleeping area from the shared space, and the full-size fridge and freezer was a huge bonus. The bunk beds were sturdy and perfectly comfortable for adults, and practical touches like a proper table and USB-A plugs by the bedside made our stay incredibly easy. The hotel's amenities were also a standout. We enjoyed the shared spaces and the lovely touch of free drinks at certain times of the day. The laundry facilities were affordable and simple to use, and the gym was clean and well-equipped. To top it all off, the staff were always so attentive and kind. We highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable, convenient, and truly fantastic stay in Osaka! Would stay again.

The hotel is located at a good location. Near train station and a lot of restaurants nearby. All the staff are friendly and helpful when needed. We have a kid who fever during the trip and the staff are helpful to advuse the clinic which have english speaking doctor and help to indicate the kid details and condition in a Japanese language in writting. On the day we check-out we left one of the small bag at the hotel and the staff managed to arrange local courier to my friend in Tokyo on the next day with reasonable local courier fees. It's a good choice to choose this hotel and I will go back to this hotel on my next trip.
