We stayed here during a family trip to Tokyo and found it to be a good fit for our needs. The room had a small kitchen area with a microwave and fridge, which made it easy to heat up meals or snacks from convenience stores, with 7-Eleven just right across the street. That came in super handy with kids, especially for breakfast or quick dinners (and a night cap) . The beds were fine, and the space was clean and functional. It’s not a large room, but it worked fine for a few nights. The main issue with the room was the air conditioning. The unit has a preset low of 22 C and struggled to maintain a conformable room temperature for sleeping. That was our main negative of the place, and we understand that it's very hot outside right now, so that is probably part of the issue. The hotel is in a great area, close to subway stations, so getting around the city was pretty straightforward. There are also plenty of shops and restaurants in walking distance. Staff were polite and check-in was simple. Overall, a practical place to stay if you're traveling with family and want something with a bit more flexibility than a standard hotel room, just maybe not during the summer heat.

Help me write a good review for my hotel:||Hotel was aesthetically pleasing Japanese decor. They kept it very simple and clean. Provided everything we needed as far as irons, proper hair dryers, skin care products and tooth brushes. The front desk staff is very warm in caring. We stayed for 16 days and the staff is what made it better for us. They provided great recommendations to good restaurants near by the hotel. We love that this is a family friendly apartment style hotel which allows a family with young children somewhere to unwind. Our room was especially spacious and had an awesome view of the sky line. The beds were too firm for my liking and the rooms got easily dusty but they did have an air purifier/humidifier in our room 24/7 which helps. The laundry machines were a lifesaver because we only packed for 5 days and kept having to do laundry.|| The location is 10/10 because having visited all the tourist areas we are so thankful to be in a non-touristy location but still easily accessible to the subway line. The hotel is only 6 min walk to the Akasaka subway station which there you can take it to any closely destination.

My family and I stayed here on the last leg of our trip to Japan. The location is great for walking and easy access to rail stations. The hotel was very clean and the staff were so nice and helpful. I recommend staying here, the neighborhood is easy and lowkey with a 7/11 right across the street. There are many restaurants and shops to check out as well. Thanks again!

I cannot recommend this hotel enough. The staff are friendly, super helpful and approachable. Their English was fantastic, which is helpful (understanding we are in Japan). |We stayed in a Japanese Apartment and found this to be spacious for our family of two adults and two young kids. We could even comfortably fit our travel cot in the room and still have plenty of room! I had no issues with the comfort of the bed or pillows, they were great. Also one thing I wanted to point out, the room was EXTREMELY CLEAN. |Closest station is Akasaka, which is direct two stops from Omotesando Station and also same train line to Meiji Jingu and Harajuku. |Also, Akasaka have plenty of places to eat. All walking distance to the hotel. |Lawson and 7 Eleven opposite the hotel. Family Mart was 2 mins walk away. |Loved the stay here!

This is our first stay at a Mimaru property in Tokyo. The location was okay for a family and there are plenty of great restaurants nearby plus the Chiyoda metro line. We have not stayed in Akasaka before and were happy to be away from the crowded parts of Tokyo, given the tourist boom the country is experiencing. The staff were helpful and pleasant and the accommodation was clean and functional including the kitchenette.|However I was surprised by the lack of hotel facilities, service and ‘feel’, given the cost per night (AUD600). The beds were too firm and our son’s ‘futon’ was a thin foam cushion that we had to make each time. The room was made up only every second day although towels were changed daily.|Overall a good, no frills stay - we would return to other apartment hotel brands and probably minimise our time in Tokyo as there is better value accommodation in other parts of the country.

Really nice accommodations in a quiet part of town. Clean and spacious for family of 3. Beds comfortable with lots of pillows. Staff were so kind. English speaking was a huge bonus and helpful. Close to train station. 7-11 right across the street for quick coffee and snacks.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are clean and well equipped, spacious. Location was central. No complaints. Luggage transport service was easy to use. Fun gift during cherry blossom season. Also.. pro tip: there is a non-affiliated restaurant at the ground level that serves a quick easy breakfast. Not related to the hotel but a bonus to have available. Edit to add: we traveled as a family of 5 and stayed in their apartment style room. The kids were on the futons in the tatami area, and LOVED this experience. Adults got the bed. It is usually hard to find accommodation for my family in one space so this was fantastic. And to echo my first sentence and other reviews as well, the staff are fantastic, very kind, polite and helpful to answer any and all questions. Highly recommended for families.

My family of 4 are on our way back home after an amazing trip to Japan. We had the pleasure of staying at the Mimaru at Akasaka. The rooms were extremely clean, roomy, and comfortable. We had all the necessities (stove, microwave, refrigerator, kitchenware). The location was extremely convenient being only a 5 to 7 minute walk to the Chiyoda line, Akasaka station. Akasaka is in the center of Tokyo so all areas were easily accessible ( Shinjuku, Shinbuya, Ginza, Asakusa). Another huge plus was 7 eleven being right across the street making all your last minutes needs (food, water, ATM) super convenient. It was also nice that the hotel was in a quiter part of the city, so you could come "home" to a calmer, quieter, and more relaxed environment after the hustle and bustle of the city. The front desk staff was superb. They were all welcoming, friendly, respectful, and pleasant. They were also extremely patient and helpful with anything we needed assistance with ranging from help with restaurant or taxi reservations to recommendations for eating and activities. Another huge plus for us was they were all fluent in English making communication easy, effective, and efficient. Thank you Mimaru staff for making our first visit to Japan a pleasant and memorable experience!
