I stayed at Mimaru Asakusa Station with my family of 4 (including boys ages 9 and 11). We absolutely loved this hotel! We loved the location being in a quieter area of Tokyo to be our base - with super quick access to a Family Mart and 7/11 just outside of the hotel, quick access to the metro station (its above it), super quick walk over to Senso-ji Temple so you can go early in the AM before it's crowded. And its just a quick metro ride over to Tokyo Skytree! The hotel was so clean, our room was very comfortable and the staff was super nice and helpful. There's a self service laundry room near the lobby with a change machine to exchange 1000 yen for 100 yen coins (which trust me, you will need). The hotel staff helped set up our luggage delivery to our next destination as well! They also have 2 stuffies (shiba dogs) in the lobby that the kids can take out for the day. Then the kids can come back and write what the doggies did that day! My boys loved that! Then after we got home, Mimaru sent us a post card about it! My whole family loved it there and we were all sad to leave! I'd definitely stay there again if we ever make it back to Tokyo!

It's not easy finding a hotel for a family of five in Japan, so we jumped at booking a room at the MIMARU Tokyo Asakusa Station after reading about it online. The location is great. We love staying in Asakusa because it is central to lots of things but still has a bit of an old world feel.||We booked a Family Apartment room, which had two single beds (pushed together to act as a double - standard for Japan!) and a bunk bed which our kids loved. It also had a kitchenette, small dining area and bathroom with separate toilet and wet room (shower and bath). It had all the amenities we could need and everything was very clean and comfortable.||MIMARU is a quick walk to the Kaminarimon Gate and Senso-ji Temple, as well as three different subway lines. It is close to lots of shops and restaurants, and there is a Family Mart downstairs so you can quickly grab supplies.||The staff were really helpful. We received super quick replies when we contacted them via email before our trip, and the reception staff were helpful during our stay. We had to check-in after midnight due to the arrival time of our flight, and everything went completely smoothly and as described by the staff via email prior to our arrival.||We can't recommend MIMARU more highly. Our stay was safe, comfortable and enjoyable. Our kids also had a great time and can't wait to go back again. Thank you MIMARU!

This was a great choice, very clean, great amenities, close to train station and lots of fun things to see and do. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We had the large studio room which had beds for 8, we had 5 so very spacious for us. There is an amazing night time view from their roof top, be sure to check that out.

We spent 6 nights here after moving from Tokyo Bay. Location was great for the Asakusa metro line and there is a Family Mart attached to the hotel which is great for snacks. Staff were friendly and spoke English. My issue with the hotel is the room itself. The beds are extremely low to the ground and are as hard as a rock. My back was sore each morning and I found it hard to sleep. There was a smell from the drains in both the separate toilet and bathroom which was extremely unpleasant. Also the cleaning of the room wasn’t up to standard. The beds were made but the bathroom wasn’t done properly, and there were small things like cleaning of the table which were missed. I was located near the top of the hotel and I could clearly hear the road noise. ||It’s a good hotel but not great. Would I stay there again, No but good value for Tokyo and with the bunk beds it does comfortably sleep a family of 4.

My family stayed at Mimaru Tokyo Asakusa Station in August 2025. Through our travels, we stayed at 4 different Mimarus across Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka. This location was one of our favourites!||The staff are amazing. Always ready to help and having international staff who spoke English was comforting. We booked a Deluxe 2 Bedroom Suite and it was the best room we stayed in. It was large and each bedroom had 2 Twin beds + bunk bed. There were also 2 bathrooms (key when you have a teenage girl) - overall, plenty of space and the room was very clean and organized. ||Location is spectacular. The perfect mix of busy but not overwhelming. The hotel is literally steps away from Asakusa Station, 3 min walk to Sensoji Temple and the market district. I would highly recommend this property!

We stayed here as a family of 4. The location as outstanding, allowing for easy access to the airport and tourist sites. The room was clean, comfortable, and provided enough space to share with our teenage children. The bathroom was well equipped with all necessary amenities. The staff was friendly, helpful, and spoke enough English to make communication easy. I highly recommend staying here and will stay again if I find myself back in Tokyo.

This apartment hotel is so great. I highly recommend it. Close to where we wanted to visit, steps from the subway and near 7/11 and a pharmacy at a super reasonable price. We got a room with 6 beds (enough for the whole family). Plus, the staff is world class, sweet and kind and speaks English. Christine (the G.O.A.T.) made us feel like family and at home. They are rock stars!

Exceeded my expectations! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. The location was perfect — close to many attractions and conveniently situated at the end of the Ginza line, which meant the train cars were often empty and easy to access. I’ve already recommended this place to friends and family, and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!
