I stopped by MiMi’s Restaurant for lunch, a family-owned Burmese restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised—it was excellent! I ordered the Kung Pao chicken, which was flavorful, well-spiced, and came in a generous portion. The service was friendly and quick, with the staff clearly putting in effort to ensure a great experience. Definitely worth checking out if you’re into Burmese flavors. 5 stars from me.

love the hongkong fried lo mein (44) very delicious, food came out in 5 minutes after placing order. i went in the morning where it was pretty quiet and peaceful. my father got igiakuay(7) which was very soft. 10/10 support burmese restaurants theyre the best!!

We were in the area and saw the sign lit up in the window for Pho so we figured we'd give it a shot. I am not really sure what was brought to our table. Soggy noodles in canned beef broth maybe? It was terrible. And greasy. The beef was stringy, tough little pieces that were an odd color. The bottle of Hoisin sauce brought to our table was unusable due to dried/crusty sauce on the nozzle. Definitely not worth $15 a bowl. We won't be returning.

I never knew about this area before moving to Indy. Mimi's smelled amazing before I even walked in. Despite being the only white person there, they treated me with as much hospitality and kindness as they would any of their regulars. My waitress suggested the Padd Thai and I'm glad I listened to her. It came with this clear soup on the side. It was light with notes of lemongrass. As for the padd Thai itself, it had a pronounced but well rounded spiciness to it. Everything tasted freshly made. And to top it all off, the facilities were incredibly clean and the prices were very reasonable. I need more excuses to get to that side of town and this is one of the big reasons why!

A fun date night try! Would recommend splitting dishes that are unknown and that are national favorites. We look forward to coming back and trying more ❤️

Mimi's Restaurant serves a nice variety of Southeast Asian dishes from Pad Thai and Vietnamese Pho to various Burmese dishes. I had a curry dish and it was quite good. On the downside, the service was slow and the wait staff didn't have great attitudes, either. The decor was very simple which is fine with me but it seemed to me that prices were a bit high from that perspective. Nonetheless, it is another good Burmese food option in Indianapolis

I thought the pho would be good since they have it printed big on their window under the restaurant name. this was the worst pho I've ever had in my life. the broth was cloudy and had a green hue to it. it didn't taste anything like pho broth, the meat was so hard I couldn't even take a bite from it. it was a small portion and cost $15 and I don't think I'd ever order it again even if it only cost $2. we had an order of egg rolls that were still frozen in the middle. we were never offered anything to drink and we asked for a glass of water they didn't come until we were finished eating. other dishes might be good but they definitely shouldn't have pho on their window in the current state they serve it as.
