Mimi's Hotel Soho

We stayed for a night at Mimi’s following a trip to see MJ The Musical at the Prince Edward Theatre, which is literally a few steps away. |The hotel reception is through a cute bar area, which is also a lovely place to sit and watch the world go by with a croissant and coffee for breakfast. |Staff were helpful and friendly. Our room on the third floor (reached by a lift) was one of their cosy rooms. It was bijou but had a large comfortable bed and a nice bathroom with a powerful shower and big fluffy bath sheets. A nice touch was the Moulton Brown toiletries, coffee machine and complimentary bottled water. |The hotel is ideally situated near to theatre land, restaurants, bars and shops. Would definitely stay here again.

Dark and Silent in Soho!! Wrapped around George Orwell’s favourite watering hole, the dog and duck, our recently refurbished room 109 at Mimis was pitch black (no windows) and so silent we had to leave the AC fan on low or it was really eerie. The room had everything except a window and any floor space, of which there was enough to open the main door and bathroom door, so you needed to shuffle round each other (and climb over at night for a visit). The six foot bed took up 80% of the room and was firm but comfortable. Very clean, luxury shower, expensive but comfortable Hanson bar downstairs, through which you entered the hotel.

He was incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. Whether we needed recommendations, assistance with bookings, or simply a friendly chat, Ephrem exceeded all expectations. He’s truly a gem and an asset to the hotel.||If you're looking for a central, comfortable, and welcoming place to stay in Soho, look no further. I wholeheartedly recommend booking this hotel—you won’t be disappointed!

I stumbled upon this place by accident after dinner, looking for a cozy spot to grab some drinks, and I’m glad I did! It’s a nice, quiet setting – perfect for unwinding. The tables are pretty small, so you’re seated close to others, almost sharing space, but that adds to the intimate vibe. The waitress was friendly, although she checked in with us quite frequently – a bit too often at times. But overall, it’s a fantastic place to come for drinks, and I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended for a casual, relaxed evening in Soho.

The biggest upside is that the hotel is in a great location if you’re a tourist visiting London. A lot of the main attractions are within walking distance, and the trains aren’t far. The price is good for the location. The hotel offers luggage storage, which is helpful: if you arrive on an early flight, you can come here to drop off your luggage, walk around the city to sightsee, and then come back later after the check-in time. The biggest downside, though, is that the rooms are extremely small; my room was like a walk-in closet. The medium sized bed actually took up more than half of the room, and I probably had enough space to make no more than 3-4 footsteps if I wanted to walk around. I couldn’t open my suitcase fully because the room didn’t have enough space. The bathrooms are good though, and there is great water pressure. There’s a TV in the room, but I don’t know how I’m supposed to use it unless I stand up directly in front of it; there is just no space to watch TV in this room. Overall - the hotel is an okay place to stay if you’re looking to save money on a solo trip. If you’re traveling with a group of people who might want to hang out and chill in the hotel room to unwind, then look elsewhere.

So...the location cannot be beaten for a Soho night out - the price is great and the people very friendly. There rooms are probably the smallest you will stay in (in the UK) but who cares - they have a great bed and shower room in the perfect location. I love it!

Amazing hotel experience I’ve had in London! The check-in and check-out process was smooth, and the reception area was cosy and inviting. Aki at the front desk was incredibly helpful and professional throughout my stay. The rooms, though small (typical for London), were impeccably clean, as were the bathrooms. The room cleaning service was excellent and consistent. Plus, the location in the heart of Soho is unbeatable. I’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend you try it

We stayed at Mimi's back in November while we visited London on an overnight trip before a cruise. Our room was absolutely tiny with no windows, but that didn't matter as we were just ready to sleep and get rid of our jetlag. Upon seeing the room we actually busted up laughing at how small it was, but it was precisely what we paid for. The staff was absolutely lovely, the bar wonderful (get the gimlet!), and it was within walking distance to so much. Honestly, next time I go to London I'll probably try to get a room here again for longer.

Harassed by front desk guy Varun and his accomplice. Went over to visit a friend (a late night encounter) and literally asked his room number, his name, he called him to ask me my name. Varun you're in SoHo, gay people exist. We hookup and visitors at hotels are allowed. Also sometimes we don't know the names of each encounter but being homophobic and harassing visitors wearing Balenciaga hats and Gucci shoes (obviously not homeless) is not okay in 2024. Would love to speak to the owner or manager because it was embarrassing for me and your guest. PS it was 11 pm on a Sunday night and he didn't stop white women but stopped me and asked me all sorts of information. It is easier to get into the White House. I was staying at the Hoxton and I would be MORTIFIED if the front desk people were homophobic and treated a visitor of mine like that. I am 100% sure they wouldn't. Luckily being gay is legal in England. Maybe they shouldn't hire staff from India that clearly are uncomfortable with gay people IN THE GAY AREA OF LONDON. Duh

Absolutely loved this charming hotel! Moody and vibey ambiance in the perfect location. Incredibly kind and helpful front desk staff. W very thing about it this place exceeded expectations. Mind you, I had a smaller room but I was aware of what I was booking so I was very pleased. Bonus: Milton Brown amenities in the bathroom...yum! Highly recommended! Can't wait to return!

The hotel was unwilling to waive their penalty of the entire one night stay with 5 days notice due to a covid positive test. Is this the policy you want to see if your a guest at the hotel? Do you think that some will just come rather than deal with this ill advised policy? You can easily resell this room which I imagine will be done, thus double enriching the hotel. How clever. Too bad, I have stayed at this hotel exclusively for years... never again. This is just wrong and an unethical business practice. Very disappointed to see how rudely this was handled as well.

Had a reservation- room was not in the main hotel building it was up the street and then when arrived stairs leading to room were stained everywhere. Once in hotel room it was musty and then a cockroach revealed itself. We immediately asked for a refund of which they were very accommodating. Maybe cleaner in main hotel but was rather dirty in separate "suites".

These room's are small. I read the reviews, the website mentioned they were small rooms but I was not prepared for how small they were. Still, for a 6 night stay I was perfectly fine with the size as I spent most of my time exploring London. I had a room with a window and had no noise issues, however I was probably as far away from the pub as could be so maybe I didn't get the full effect. I would absolutely book here again if I was on a solo or couples trip. Pro's: Location. I was within 3 miles of most major attractions within London. Staff was extremely nice and attentive to my needs, the front desk was ALWAYS staffed. Soho, always has something going on and there is a wide variety of restaurants and pubs to choose from. There is a bar in the lobby and your right next to an old pub and restaurant. Soundproof rooms, I don't think I heard anyone the entire time I was there. The doors are nice and thick and I was never once bothered by my neighbors. Wifi was excellent, never once lost connection. AC/Heat was available for however I felt that day. Con's: My biggest issue was their pillows. Flat as pancakes. I asked for a second pillow, which they were happy to provide but even then I needed another one but was afraid to ask. I am glad I found this place and will be staying there again.

One problem with this hotel...if you get a room with a window, you are directly above a pub...a Soho pub on a street that's a bit like Mardi Gras without the parade! The hotel itself is lovely, the rooms are very compact, almost like being in a boat (a nicely designed one). The staff is very sweet and helpful. The bed is large - too firm for my taste, the shower is a rock star, the area is close to everything! For us, the problem was people out on the street until 1-3am, loud, occasionally drumming. The pub closes around 11:30, but people seem to hang out in the area for hours after. Maybe it was the good weather, but even with double-thick windows and ear plugs, we had problems sleeping. The rooms without windows are off the street and might be quieter.

This hotel is cute, quaint, and fabulous! I found the decor and ambiance to be so posh. And the neighborhood of Soho is incredibly vibrant, just like the hotel. We stayed in one of the small rooms. It has everything you need, and we fit just right! The bed is gigantic, the tv is modern, there was a small desk, and the shower had amazing water pressure. I prefer a pillow top mattress, so the bed was a bit firm, but that's just a matter of preference. And for the price within this energetic neighborhood, it was a perfect fit for our vacation. We were able to walk everywhere within the City Center. And the food in Soho is one of a kind! I cannot wait to come to London again, and will definitely stay at Mimi's.

Very quaint, clean, lovely hotel. Rooms was very small, but we picked the smallest room. Loved having the bar downstairs. Definitely will be back. Perfect location right in the heart of London! Be back this December!

Small, quaint, hip, perfect! Yep, the rooms are small. Yep they are beautifully appointed and are made for sleeping and bathing so you can go out and soak up this great neighborhood! Staff was excellent top to bottom. Bartender made me one of the very best Old Fashioneds I've ever had. I'm from Chicago and I've never seen one made with such care. Also, the bar is super rich and comfortable with a perfect mix of chill/bumping music at the perfect volume. Cannot recommend more highly.

The rooms were indeed tiny, and there's not much more than a bed and sink and toilet in my single room (basically nowhere to stand), but being the middle of Soho and a decent rate for a single room one cannot complain. The lobby bar is vibrant at night and lovely in the morning for a nicely prepared espresso while people watching.

ABSOLUTE DON'T. Smallest room I've ever had in my life for ridiculously high price. Smelled like cigarette but couldn't do anything about it. Very badly isolated - could hear my neighbors come back home, waking up with all their alarms, and hotel's loud music in the corridor in the morning. Also my room was underground so, besides being tiny, it's a nightmare for the claustrophobic (no natural light and the electric light is super weak so you end up feeling like a prostitute in a love hotel.) Had a better experience in any cheap hostel around and I have tried many. Very overrated on any website that I visited before booking - don't trust, the London standards are below expectations. You'd honestly be better off in a hostel - you'd hear your neighbors in a similar way, it would be cheaper and it wouldn't smell that bad. Avoid at all costs !

My fiancé and I arrived for a 4-night stay and were immediately impressed with the location. In the heart of Soho, we were immersed in culture and were a short walk from numerous theaters, pubs and restaurants of all cuisines. While the "cozy" size room was small, it was quite luxurious and had plenty of room for a couple. The room was made up daily, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We coincidentally had the joy of staying here during London Pride and the England-Sweden World Cup match. Outside the hotel was a constant party for more than 12 hours, but the room was perfectly sound-proof. We look forward to returning to Mimi's for future stays, as this location can not be beat!

Fabulous in every way, The room was perfect. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The location is unbeatable. The staff friendly. The price was great. It has a beautiful bar area. It was much less noisy than I anticipated. My room faced the street, but everything quieted down by about 11:30PM. My only gripe would be the lack of any kind of nightstand. I will definitely return to stay at Mimi's next time I am in town.

This hotel is gorgeous. The deep purple wood paneled walls, marble floors and staircases, gold railings and accents... I want to live here. Great location, small but cozy rooms that are a good size for one person or a couple, luxury bath products, and love the little café that you walk through to check in. Will stay here next time we're in London again.
