There is a fairly large car park, but it is rather busy. Many shops are closed on Tuesdays. Fresh sushi is available. Dog-friendly with vending machines for dog treats🐕💕

There are so many delicious seafood dishes, from sashimi to fried dishes. The building next to it was designed by a very famous architect in Japan, from which you can enjoy the scenery of the river bank and the people in the market. When you finish your food, you can find a lot of things in this small shopping street, from very interesting gift shops to cafes, where people can buy suitable souvenirs and enjoy a moment leisurely. Sea urchin in summer, tuna in winter, I believe anyone who likes seafood will love this place.

A local market where you can buy fresh foods or seafoods. There’re some convenient shops, clothes, and also a food court. I bought a birthday cake for my friends in a bakery, its taste is so good!

This is an excellent place to visit during sea urchin or uni season. They have fresh unpreserved sea urchin meals, which means it's prepared fresh with only a bit of sea water. Normal sea urchin at sushi restaurants is usually preserved with ミョウバン or alum. Which is bitter They also have lots of other seafood including local specialities.

Interesting place that was devastated by tsunami in 2011. The memory of this tragedy is vividly present due to a tsunami memorial and some buildings left in their original state, following nature's wrath. Delicious seafood at the nearby michi no eki.

This is a newly built temporary shopping village for the town of Minamisanriku. This whole area was completely ruined in the 2011 tsunami. The shopping village now houses the only few shops & restaurants in the town. Here, you can buy many locally produced fruits & vegetables. There are some lovely restaurants and they all offer delicious local food. People from all over the world come to visit what once was a peaceful small town which got completely destroyed by natural disaster and also to see the various efforts the locals are putting in rebuilding this area.
