Tried this Brazilian spot for the first time and was genuinely impressed. Everything was incredibly fresh, the flavors were on point, and the food was cooked to perfection. The sides complemented the main dishes perfectly and really brought the meal together. The only letdown was the cheesy bread was cold but everything else was so good that it didn’t ruin the vibe. Definitely worth the visit, and I’ll for sure be coming back!

This restaurant was my go-to gem for lunch and dinner for two amazing weeks! The picanha 🥩 was hands-down the best—perfectly cooked, juicy, and bursting with flavor that left me drooling 🤤 every single time. The lively atmosphere and exceptional service elevated every meal into a memorable experience. I’m already looking forward to my next visit to savor more of their incredible dishes! Highly recommend this spot to anyone craving a top-tier dining adventure.

This is a great spot if you’re looking for tasty Brazilian food in a casual setting. It’s not fancy, but the food is really good. You choose what you want from a buffet-style setup, then sit down to eat. The meats are well-seasoned, and the sides like rice and beans are fresh and full of flavor. Everything tastes like homemade, Prices are fair too. It’s a nice place for a quick and satisfying meal. I’ll definitely come back.

Google
Really good experience. The food is served buffet style. You pay by the pound. There are other items like empanadas and cheese bread that are not by the pound. The meat is cut right in front of you while on the skewer. Line moves quick but it gets crowded. There are some tables inside to eat, but looks like most people take to go. Small parking lot in back. Lots of street parking on the surrounding streets. The food is really good. We tried sausage, chicken, and steak. The chicken had the best flavor. Lots of sides to choose from. Definitely stop in and see which is the best of the meats.

A lot of the girls at my work love walking to Mina’s during their lunch break. I was hesitant to stop in because I’m not overly familiar with Brazilian cuisine, but I decided to give them a try. To start, I think Mina’s needs to be a tad more clear on how to order. Everything is self-serve, with the exception of the barbecue. Your overall total is priced by weight-per-pound. Essentially, this is the self-serve, Brazilian version of Chipotle. For my meal, I started simple with black beans and rice, spicy sausage, and barbecue chicken. While I tasted the quality of the preparation, nothing overly amazed me. The sausage was tad dry and the only thing I was necessarily impressed by was the chicken (which fell of the bone,) and their delicious house-made BBQ sauce. While it was nice to eat at Mina’s on a gorgeous day and the price was right (around $13), I can’t say I would go out of my way to eat here again. I’m interested in other menu options and their breakfast sandwiches, but overally I was fairly underwhelmed.

I went with a friend a few months back and it was packed. Safe to say it’s popular because the food tastes good and the service is great. The employees are very friendly and attentive. Despite it being packed, we still managed to find seating, which was nice. I would def go again, they had a variety of foods. Meats, cold food/salad bar, rice, bread, beans, drinks

Google
Very inconsistent and low quality food. My cheese empanada came with zero cheese. I ordered a side salad and didn’t receive it. That made is extremely dry. Honestly, the only good thing here is the beans and when I ordered the combo number one it came with zero beans. Avoid this spot

My wife is from Campinas, Brasil. We are here today and we are from NY, about 50 minutes away. The food here was soo good and so worth the trip and the price. My wife loves it and feels at home here.

Yelp
The food is delicious! The steak, the spicy sausage and their rice yummmm. I always go there with the family and they are very affordable. They also do have other options and a salad bar.

Chassidie L.

Yelp
It's time that I leave my review... I have only been to this place once, but I have been dreaming and craving it ever since! All of the food here is sooo delicious! Their meat is so fresh and actively cooking when you get it to order! They have two large bar/buffet style tables to get sides from. A salad one and one with different hot foods (rice, beans, potatoes, etc). When you get there, you grab a container and fill it with whatever you want! They charge by the lb. It is super affordable and worth it! I got a container with sirloin and sausage and some hot food sides and it was only $11. I am already planning my drive to go down there again! They lines do not lie, it really is that good.

Yelp
The people working here want you to enjoy your meal. They are very nice and very good at what they do. Everything is fresh, and tasty. The garlic beef is so flavorful. Great Diner, Drive in, Dive type place. Guy Feirarri should do a show about this one. Love it!

Peter N.

Yelp
My brother and I had lunch at Mina's yesterday, my first time and it was absolutely delicious. Buffet style eatery with a salad bar or hot bar. I had the hot bar with rice, plantains, collard greens and stew. Then the best part, Brazilian bbq meats. I got steak and chicken and it was mouth watering. Looking forward to my next visit. What a hidden gem in Danbury, Ct.

Dennis And Jess L.

Yelp
Absolutely loved this place! You can get as much or as little as you want and it's based on a per pound price, which I thought was an interesting way of paying for the amazingly delicious food. We'll be back for sure!

Sam N.

Yelp
Oh my gosh, this is such a great restaurant! If I could give 6 stars, I would. The weakest part about it is the ambiance, but that's saying something because it is a lovely and personable deli with some very pleasant outdoor seating. The staff was friendly and even cracked a couple jokes with us! And the food. Oh gosh, the food. It was magical. Heavenly. It briefly made us religious, that's how good it was. My whole group loved the different variety of meats, rices, salads, and beans. Plus, the desserts were the exact right kind of sweet treats we had been looking for! (Great chocolate!)

Jerome S.

Yelp
Terrific food fresh and mouth watering Nice staff and reasonable prices Will definitely return in

Natalia V.

Yelp
One thing about Mina's is that it doesn't disappoint. I've been going here for several years and it's one of the best restaurants in the Danbury area. In the center of the city, this Brazilian bbq spot provides quality meat and meals! Not to mention the convenient hours. There's a buffet style so you decide what goes on your place and the staff is so welcoming. It can get a bit pricey so try not to go when you're starving haha. I always get potato salad here. The food you get here is pretty consistent but the meat varies day to day. Ever thought about getting grilled pineapple? If you haven't, you need to try it. Just about everything here makes my experience lovely and Mina's has a special place in my heart. Oh and limes + hot sauce will elevate your meal!

Kim M.

Yelp
Literally fire. Eat here. Very unique experience, amazing food. They have different sides and meats that was all delicious.

Jack O.

Yelp
From the moment you walk in you know you made the right choice. The smell of the bbq is to die for! But that's just the foreplay. The salad bar has all the most important things, assorted veggies, pasta salad, palmito(hearts of palm), beans, 3 choices for rice, corn, sweet plantains, collard greens, couve flor empanada(fried cauliflower, and spaghetti ragu for the less adventurous. But the meat!? OOOOoooOooOoooOooooo.... That's why we're here, isnt it? It's perfect. And at $13.69/lb it has to be the best deal in CT, especially for such quality meats. But for those who are doing the salad bar+hot buffet+any meat combo, it's $9.69/lb. No wonder it gets packed like this every night. To be honest, I almost didn't write the review because I don't want more people here. But they deserve it. Kid friendly. Great service. If you don't like it, it's you. Your parents spoiled you, so you can't be pleased. As for the rest of us up in Danbury, this is THE spot. The icing on the cake was they played Tears for Fears as I walked in. And this is all BEFORE I look at dessert.

Olga B.

Yelp
So yummy and very friendly staff. My family of 5 really enjoyed our experience. We had the buffet with pork loin and steak.

Rob B.

Yelp
Several years ago, I was delivering UberEats and I picked up from her constantly. The food always smelt amazing. A Brazilian friend of mine reminded me of it and I have been going every week for the last 6 weeks. The food is always fresh, and tastes amazing. The steak is salty but it's supposed to be. The sauces are great. I love getting rice, greens and a healthy serving of shaved sirloin for about $15. Always packed whenever I am there. Casual atmosphere. I recommend it as it is a Brazilian community gem here in Danbury!

Paula P.

Yelp
The meats here are cut to order. I love the sirloin. The yellow rice is also very good. If you go make sure you get the cheesy rolls!

Dan E.

Yelp
One of the best meals I had in a long time. Mina's offers perfectly cooked Brazilian Style meats, combining the best of buffet style/while being made to order. The hot and cold bar offers fresh vegetables, different variations of rice, feijoada, stewed (perfectly tender and flavorful) meats, cheese bread, plaintains and a variety of authentic Brazilian sides. The star of the show is the Brazilian meats. The Picanha was a perfect medium rare, flavored to perfection with a beautiful char. The linguaca is flavorful, with a nice kick. I look forward to returning to try all the other options.

Paulie G.

Yelp
Fantastic. I visited for the first time last weekend and wish that I lived closer to Danbury so I could regularly visit. The food is great. The buffet and carving stations have so much to offer. They had a salad bar and assorted types of sausage, chicken, pork, beef.

The E.

Yelp
Great food and service. Steak, pork and pineapple are the way to go here. Plus the cheese bread.

Yelp
I've known about this place for a good few years now, and I've always wanted to try it. And fam; I'm not even gonna sugar coat it. Imma get right down to it. This ain't no hood-possum-squirrel-meat. This ain't no taco bell dumpster-beef. This is quality brought down by the hands of god himself. Where the lights of heaven may not shine, this place brings rays of hope to. So let's get to it: I went here with my friend and my brother. We all had similar orders: plentiful amounts of rice, beans, veggies and meat. And for an extremely affordable price, for the amount of food we ordered. What caught my eye in particular was the rotisserie style meat mansion behind the workers. Not only was the meat bangin', juicy and tender; it was straight up deliciatable! Onto the second best part: the rice. I had both white and yellow rice, and let me just say I have never had rice quite like this in my entire life. The texture mixed in with the beans, the flavors combining - oh so exquisite - were like a perfect harmony of all great spices combined. Now let's take a step back. The atmosphere of this particular joint is incredible, with even just walking by, smelling the deliciatable aromas of hand crafted beef and the scent of Brazil itself brought us to instant anticipation of what was to come! I highly recommend, even if you haven't had Brazilian food before; you're in for a treat!

Honest S.

Yelp
Delicious ham and cheese and hot chocolates! I came here to study once and the ambience was exactly what I needed to send reports out! Very kind staff :)

Rob W.

Yelp
Minas Carne is always fresh and delicious. Best thing is the sides are all cafeteria style so you choose what you want. I'm not a big rice & beans fan, so I go heavy on the sautéed greens and potato salad (both fantastic). All the meat is pulled right off the grill to order. Get as much or as little as you want of beef, pork, Portuguese sausages, chicken, pineapple...always perfect. Pay by weight - a great deal. This place is always bustling and for good reason!! One of our weekly go-tos.

Mark L.

Yelp
Holy sheet this place is fire!! Should have taken a pic before I inhaled it but ong what I just got for $13.50 could have fed two people if I wasn't such a pig lol. This place is sooo good totally understand why it's got such a rating.

Judy C.

Yelp
I'm so thrilled a friend of mine suggested we eat here for lunch while holiday shopping. This casual spot is one of my favorite places. I came back a week later and brought family. Everything is good here! The sausage and steak is so good, but really everything was great. Don't forget to get the cheese bread. A really great variety of Brazilian delicious options.

Rodrigo G.

Yelp
My first time at Minas Carne, a super experience, I'm from southern New Hampshire. Very good food very clean restaurant with attentive and quality service Congratulations Thank you .

Susana C.

Yelp
We visit here weekly. The food is amazing. The service is friendly. We normally have rice, beans, picanha, salad, chicken rolled with bacon, cheese bread.... Yummy!

Alexandra A.

Yelp
Very authentic little spot in Danbury! The brazilian flavor is definitely noticeable. Really friendly staff. Great price for a quick lunch while in the area. They do occasionally will confuse their hot sausage when you did not order it but overall everything is really tasty!

Joann A.

Yelp
Food is delicious. love the feel of the culture. Bring your wine and enjoy! Nothing prestigious About decor still a favorite spot

Zack G.

Yelp
Brazilian cafeteria-style eatery with a brick-oven BBQ pit There are plenty of tables inside The meat is very fresh Very affordable A few different tropical juices 9

Juan J.

Yelp
I love coming here and I don't mind driving from lower Westchester, NY just to come here and eat. You will not be disappointed by coming here to eat. Great service and food is always cooked to perfection.

Rowland S.

Yelp
Came here with family. They all raved about this place so we had to try it. As others have stated, it is cafeteria style where you pay by the pound (not an issue, just something to be aware of). Food was amazing the rice and pork or wonderful as was the hot sausage. The service was friendly and prompt. I can't wait to go again.

William V.

Yelp
Good food, great prices, fast friendly service. Not a fancy spot, but a great choice for a good meal. You are able to pick your items and it's a winner for me.

Ryan T.

Yelp
Probably the best Brazilian-style meats I ever had in my life. The sirloin steak, medium rare was so good and every meat is seasoned perfectly. All the sides were good. The warm cheesy bread that this deli serves is so delicious. The food was so good I had to get another plate to go. Super affordable as well! Mina Carne &Deli's food is way better than any Fogo de Chao. Such a hidden gem in Connecticut. Will remember to come here when if I ever around the area again.

Greg W.

Yelp
After 6 months of getting this disgusting place out of my system, I can talk about this nasty experience! I purchased approximately $40 of weighed food 2 people. The long dark haired young and clearly inexperienced boys were cutting the meat, no gloves, as u're as shit I bring my food home open the lid and there is one of these fuckers hair on top of the food. Threw the whole thing out. Basic rule #1! Wear a fucking hairnet pretty boys!

Marilyn B.

Yelp
Fabulous food at a fabulous price. Nothing fancy, just good quality meats and sides and salads. Fed 4 here for the fraction of a cost of McDonald's. #eatrealfood

Emerson T.

Yelp
I always try to stop by this place when I'm in Danbury! Amazing food and great staff!

Max A.

Yelp
HOMERUN!!!!! Bam, I am going there --- FIVE STARS. On all levels. Value - you get a ton of food for a low price. Meat - cooked perfectly, great flavor and prepared as good as any super high $$$ Churrasco that I have ever been. Beef Ribs, Picanha and pork belly. Pork Belly to die for. All excellent and for under $20, it provided me three meals. Full salad bar - looked fresh and very well cleaned and maintained. Staff - above my expectation friendly and helpful, just ask and they are more than happy to answer.

Nancy L.

Yelp
Stopped by to pickup an early lunch. Parking is found behind the store. Great aroma as you enter. Can easily understand the popularity of the place with the morning specials, variety of buffet items and grilled meats. You pick your container and start piling on. We skipped the salad items and picked small portions of rice, plaintains, beans and beef stew. We then added grilled pork and sirloin steak at the next station. Last, we weighed our food at the register. Came to about $16. Not bad considering this was a meal for two people. We didn't get drinks but there were several coolers with lots of choices. When we got home, we divvied up the food. Everything was delicious! Loved the grilled meats. Wish I had eaten there, but it seemed a bit warm. Plus, it seemed almost cafeteria style and a bit crowded. So i guess this is more like a deli than a restaurant. Oh, and I felt rushed at the register. Anyway, great food to try.

Michael T. T.

Yelp
Good food, reasonable prices, owner and staff are always nice. Everything is made fresh and they are constantly cleaning and trying to keep up with the volume of people coming in. It is not fancy and I usually do take out. It is a cool Danbury place. You can have a group of college kids, mixed in with guys coming off of work, with a couple of police or firefighters on lunch break. Truly a melting pot. Definitely a go to place.

Camille D.

Yelp
Good ass food but I'm giving it a 4 instead a 5 cuz I went in there fucking zooted asf wit my eyes all red n shit and the dumbass worker was talkin shit about me in portugués like if I wasn't with my Brazilian co worker and when she told me what he said bout me his face turned as red as my eyes were but good pineapple tho shit buss bruvvv

Danny E.

Yelp
Better than going to a fast food restaurant. A great selection of Brazilian style food!! You won't be disappointed.

Joseph P.

Yelp
Those who follow my reviews know I insist on authenticity. Not just good food, but great food. Bursting with flavor, honest, simple and unpretentious. Mina's is all of that. I've spent a great deal of time in Brazil, particularly Saõ Paulo visiting the counter service restaurants there. Walking into Mina's is like a quick trip to Brazil. The churrascaria meats are amazingly cooked, sliced in front of you by the friendly and efficient counter staff. The side potatoes, rice and vegetables are all delicious but the star of the show is the meat. And now, you can pick up and eat at one of the picnic tables outside. Ps- "Mina's" is a play on words. It's actually a reference to Minas Gerias, one of the largest states in Brazil.

Garrett M.

Yelp
Great quick spot for a hearty lunch or dinner. Fair prices and generally really good quality (I've had some off-days though). Sometimes can be super busy.

Jenna H.

Yelp
Always great food and service! We travel 35 minutes just to go here...totally worth it!

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Delicious, fresh & busy! Appeared to be a local favorite with a steady stream of patrons coming through. Every buffet item was fresh, topped off & the meats offered were freshly prepared. The interior dining area was very casual but offered all needed to enjoy your meal. Our total for a party of 6 was an affordable $110 - unheard of nowadays - for an authentic, freshly prepared dinner. We'll be back again for sure.

Michelle D.

Yelp
Rude service . Decent food, steak is salty. The guys behind the counter can be very rude, then they talk about you thinking you don't understand. Would never recommend this place

Ryan D.

Yelp
If you like Brazilian food, this place is a must. Great for a quick bite of ridiculously good food and can sit outside and eat it. The picanha was as good as it gets, one of best meals around

Atnier R.

Yelp
Order is deli-style and you pay by weight. Tiny parking lot but people go in and out frequently . The pao de queijo (cheese breads), yellow rice, beans, maduros (sweet plaintains) and grilled pineapple are very tasty. I could just eat all of these without any meats. Actually, I have never been excited about the many meats they offer, they are okay but I go here for everything else really. Be careful as it can get quite pricey when you load up the plate since it is per weight. Use moderation, unless you want leftovers.

Barry G.

Yelp
Not a NYC Style Fixed Price Churrascaría with a choice of 100+ self serve salads, stews, soups and side dishes and a parade of high quality cuts of meats on the skewer, sliced at your table, but a pay by the pound cafeteria, where a workman can get a hearty meal before/after his shift. No trays, just a take out tin or paper plate greet you over very limited fresh salad ingredients - so unappealing that this salad/veggie loving family took none; then a choice of either white or yellow rice; white or black beans; 4 hot table dishes and then 6 rotisserie items sliced to order: though fresh and well seasoned, none of the meats was a high quality cut and the steak was tough. Frankly my favorite rotisserie items were the pineapple and sausage. Minas is located just down the hill from Danbury Hospital and next to Western CT College, so is always busy from 5 AM to Midnight. It is definitely much better than the other nearby Brazilian Cafeteria in Brookfield.

Joscelyn S.

Yelp
Meat is fresh, tender and delicious . Food is reasonably priced for the amount you get. Never a miss! We drove all the way from Westchester, NY.

David M.

Yelp
Food is fantastic! No wonder the place is always packed. It is the local's favorite. I will visit again, just remeber parking is hit or miss
