Mineiro Museum

Best museum in Belo Horizonte! The main floor has a wonderful collection of historic paintings and artifacts from all over the Minas Gerais. An especially diverse collection of baroque sacred art. The rooms are also very beautiful. Free.

Free entry. Nice building. Friendly helpful staff. Some interesting objects and paintings.

The building is beautiful. The focus is well preserved religious art. There is a small history section and another room downstairs with an art exhibit. If you like history, the Abilio Barreto museum is much better.

A great place to know a bit about the Minas Gerais State culture and social aspects.

Visited on Sunday and it was closed. They said it was under maintenance

Interesting, well kept and informative. It's easy to find by foot from Praça da Liberdade where many other museums are located. It's worth visiting.

Small but excellent exposition. Very courteous staff, specially Ms. Watanabe.
