5 breathtaking places to view cherry blossoms in Taiwan - SilverKris

"An often-overlooked forest retreat about a two-hour drive from Taipei, this secluded recreation area offers towering cypress stands, thinner crowds and bright-pink cherry blossoms that beautifully frame quiet hiking paths. Visitors can hike up to the park's lake and, along the way, look for rarer white cherry blossoms, making it especially photogenic in early spring." - Dana Ter

A very beautiful park with very fresh air for hiking and get rid of the noise of city life. The road to the park is very narrow so that no big tour bus can get to the area. Unfortunately the attitude of the people in the ticket box was not friendly. That made the trip not so happy. Luckily the atmosphere and fresh air brought back good mood after the hiking. A place you may go many times as the seasons change, the feeling is different.

We got there on a beautiful day in April with not so many people there, and the first view of the lake itself after you get through the entrance will make anyone swoon. The lake is quite small but the scenery all around are varied and every corner feels different and just as picturesque. It’s a heavenly little corner in Taiwan and really worth it if you combine the trip with a trip to the divine woods.

I would say it’s a 6-star! Extremely relaxing place. It brings you a peaceful atmosphere.

A beautiful pond beside the northern trans express way, surrounded with lots of tall red wood trees. The air is so fresh and cool even if in the summer mid day. The color of the pond changes with the seasons from meadow green in Spring to colorful yellow and red in Fall. People can take a walk on the hiking trails or have a picnic on the lake side.

Breath taking place, you can take many photos there, but the road is narrow and dangerous

Gorgeous lake. Well worth the long, winding drive up the mountain to see it.
