Google
Yummy buffet!! So happy this is so close to my new home. Friendly staff and delicious food! Can't beat it!! Everything was delicious down to the sprite we ordered!! No complaints! :)

Google
Ming Court Buffet and Grill has always provided an amazing variety, fresh hot dishes, and great soups! There's also a Mongolian style grill where you can choose your ingredients, a sushi bar, and hand scooped ice cream bar! The entire establishment is clean, everyone is friendly and attentive, your glass will never be empty either! Amazing among Chinese buffets!

Google
This was my first time eating here today, and I absolutely LOVED it! The staff there are sooo friendly and the food is incredible! This is also a very affordable place to eat. Whether you're just visiting Dickson or a local, I highly recommend this place.

Google
The food was okay. Some of it didn't taste like it did last time. Also it was heavily saturated in cooking oil/grease. The guy wearing the fan around his neck, at the door, that took us to our table, was incredibly rude. When we got to our table we waited for him to ask what to drink like always. Instead he looked at us and thrust his head forward aggravated like until we just said our drink. He never spoke a word to us at all. Definitely did not like him at all. I wouldn't even had bothered writing this review, but thinking of him being like that decided for me.

Google
It’s a good place to go when you’re really starving and craving for asian foods…lots of variety of foods to choose according to your taste buds including fresh meat that you can select and they will cook for you… If we’re starving,we just wanted to pick and pick whatever we loves eating when it’s buffet. But the reality, sometimes it’s only our eyes is hungry seeing these delicious foods but cannot afford to eat all the reason lots leftover. So, better have a small portion of each kind then have more if you really loves the taste so it will not be wasted. So all in all experience was good and service as well.

Google
My family drives 1-1/2 hours to go to this restaurant. The staff is very friendly. The owner greets us when we come in. Huge selection on the buffet and the menu changes slightly for dinner so you have more options. Food is always fresh and hot. We've tried many places for Chinese food and none compare!

Jeramie O.

Google
Decent Chinese Buffet. Food was fresh in the bars and hot. We were there during lunch on a Saturday. We didnt have to wait on anything to be refilled. The kept the bar well stocked and our drinks full. Good choice for lunch and dinner in the area.

Yelp
About like last time no worse no better some things could use be changed but I'm not going to tell you what to do that's not my job to do that you gotta find your own salad bar needs an up grade for starters how about a Cesar salad as an idea for one !

Ginny P.

Yelp
After hearing so many bad reviews, we were scared. Then we heard recently management changed. The food was delicious!! Definitely more bang for your buck eating in. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Typical Chinese buffet. Nothing special. Nothing worth coming back for. Panda Express is actually quite better but not unlimited food for around $13.

Daisy T.

Yelp
We came in before closing so some of the food wasn't the freshest. I wasn't a fan of the bourbon chicken or pizza but the string beans and general chos chicken was great! The chicken on the stick was dry, but upon request, a small amount was made just for our family to reduce waste. exceptional service from our waiter, water refills without asking, taking plates immediately when ready, and no complaints for our requests. Perfect place to eat when your step dad is craving chinese food desperately on a road trip.

Jash H.

Yelp
This was legitimately the worse place I have ever eaten. I'd rather eat a hotdog from a homeless man. It must have done some serious damage because my fortune cookie said I would see the land of sunshine.

Yelp
We were here last week after a long time away. I remember from a couple of years ago, I'd have given only two stars. Then Ming's Court closed, and I assumed it was due to the pandemic. But something changed along the way. New management? New respect for the food and the customers? I dunno, but the food was way, way better than I remember it. The hibachi selections were great, and the regular buffet items seemed to be on point. Granted, this is a Chinese buffet, and it's my opinion that they pretty much all taste the same. Having had a conversation with the owner of a made-to-order Chinese restaurant, he told me that when people come from China to the U.S. and want to open a restaurant, they all go to the same place in New York City to learn how to cook for the American palate, which explains why there is very little variation in taste from one Chinese buffet to another. That said, there's nothing that really makes Ming's Court a stand-out, other than how fresh the food was. You could tell it didn't sit around under heat lamps all day. So that's a good thing. The made-to-order plate from the hibachi was a good thing. Our server kept our glasses filled, and cleared the table promptly, and was very friendly and polite. I wish I'd gotten her name so I could give her a specific shout out. We'll be back to visit Ming's Court again. Whatever y'all did while you were closed the last few months, keep it up! I liked it a lot better than the last time I was there.

Yelp
Awful experience. The hostess and waiter were both very rude. The carpet was gross. Had to pull like 8 plates off the stack before getting a clean one. The rice pot had a disgusting layer of dust and sticky sauce all over it. The food was your standard overpriced mass produced Chinese junk. Never going back.

Yelp
Hibachi grill is my all time favorite. Being able to customize what you want and how you want it. Love that it is an option here. Lunch or early dinner are the best times to go. Lots of fresh food and great options. The steam wells are always full and being replaced or checked on. I will say some of the servers lack in service. There have been plenty of times that we have gone without refills or someone coming to get our empty plates. Sometimes it's as if they are short handed. All in all it's a good Chinese spot.

Yelp
We were there 3 years ago and it was good.... Went back tonight and not impressed at all!! My husband and I both didn't care for the food.... The chicken kept getting bigger and bigger the more that I chewed! Very disappointed!
google avatar

Justin M.

Yelp
I've been to this place several times throughout many years and I've never remembered it being this bland. I Started with the hibachi and got chili sauce on it. It tasted so bland and not flavorful. It was as if they are watering stuff down. The hot and sour soup and egg drop soup were both COLD. The stuffed "clams" were in muscle shells...They serve muscles on the halfshell. Hmmm. The fried scallops and shrimp were overdone and chewy. The fruit on the bar may have not been fully ripe and was hard. The sweet waitress making rounds was always nice and on top of our drinks though. Might not be coming back here
google avatar

Chris S.

Yelp
Had lunch today, food is always good, service is pretty good. Lots of food to pick from. I love to get food and them grill it on the open grill. The place is clean and the restrooms are kept clean as well.
google avatar

Michael C.

Yelp
Food is good but the whole place looks totally run down. you can't really find a seat not patched with duct tape and the floors are some nasty carpet that is coming apart. waiters/waitresses are not very personable. I'd suggest the hibachi grill not really the buffet. frog legs are great though.
google avatar

Ellie H.

Yelp
This place doesn't look the nicest and isn't the most clean, BUT the food is AMAZING. So good considering it's a buffet. So many choices, all looks wonderful and fresh. Nothing is sitting out too long.
google avatar

Joshua N.

Yelp
Mings Court.......so we haven't been there in many years because of a bad experience. So we thought....let's give them another shot. So here we are.....first impression...that carpet is nasty....I don't mean just dirty....I mean crack house nasty.....I mean there is literally 10 yrs worth of spilled food and drink being held together by carpet fibers. The food tastes fair....not bad, not great either. So it's clear the cooks know a little. Which is unfortunate because it's also obvious the owner care nothing about how clean it looks and just the general condition of the place. After finishing my meal I decided this was not one of my better decisions. Best thing on the menu...sweet tea. Worst thing....the sushi. On a scale of 1-10...they get a 3. The dirtiness of the place was beyond what is acceptable. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Actually I will warn you....just don't go.

Yelp
We very rarely come here because typically, it's total crap. I can't eat it. Not to mention the guy at the register is 90% of the time hostile and rude for no reason... I have no idea what it takes to make someone so angry for no reason but it's him. My daughter likes three things: The garlic green beans, the lo mein, and the teriyaki chicken sticks. When we come, it's we tip very well (I'm a standard 25+% tipper in a buffet) and almost never need a refill. Despite the price (WAY too high for the quality), we don't eat much at all. We don't complain and have been overcharged before. It's an all around negative experience each time we come in my opinion... But occasionally, I suck it up and take the kiddo to eat. Today, having things to do, we come in at 3:05. We were going to get a buffet to go. The entire box would have been a serving of green beans, lo mein, and the teriyaki chicken sticks... I probably would have gotten some of the broth from the wonton soup as well. A nominal amount of food... When I ask the price of a to-go buffet, I'm told it's $13.16. We've done to-go before and I realized it was incredibly overpriced but $13.16 for a lunch buffet to go??? Okay, fine. Whatever. I have a 10% coupon from the flyer they have sent out. It has stipulations on it but nowhere does it say you can't use it for a to-go order. (Keep in mind, not only do I tip 25+% percent for our server at a buffet setting, I also tip typically tip approximately 10% for a to go order in which I package it myself.) The guy at the register who had already given me attitude when I asked the price of the buffet to go and he told me and I asked, "For a lunch buffet to go?" then says, "I don't make the coupons. It's only for dine-in. I'm just doing my job." Even my 8 year old daughter was taken aback at how rude he was and how it was unwarranted. Not to mention they have this entire menu that is just crap they pull off the buffet when you order it and it's what you would typically use the coupon for. And when I say the food is crap? Fifty percent of the time, the lo mein isn't made with normal lo mein noodles... it's made with noodles similar to spaghetti noodles. The place smells like somewhere that houses a bunch of dogs. The food is always dried out like it's been sitting there for six hours. Even when you go first thing when they open (we tried this tactic on her birthday because I figured there would be NO way the food would be old), nope! It's like they are recycling what was served the night before. And on this particular occasion, we got there right at opening time and even when they opened the doors, the three parties that got there had to wait at the hostess stand for them to put the food out because they were running behind. EVEN THEN the food was dry and old and rubbery. I have no idea how this place passes an inspection.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, hilarious staff, great cerebral music playing in the background. This is my home away from home! The food is absolutely amazing. General Tsao, sesame chicken, and the sushi are among my top favorites from the endless buffet bar. Even there soup of the day CreamOfSumYungGui is to die for. Watch the floors if your by the kitchen, kind of greasy.
google avatar

Tammy T.

Yelp
The was the absolute worse place I've ever eaten. The food was disgusting. I asked for hot tea and honey, they didn't even know what honey was. When we got our plates most of the buffet was empty. I waited for sesame chicken and when I had taken 3 bites of sesame chicken there was something that felt like glass in my food and had to spit it out. Then I went to drink some of my hot tea and noticed there was food stuck to the inside of the cup. I talked to the manger and told him there was food on the stuck on the inside of my cup and he said "we no put fingers inside your cup". I tried to tel him it wasn't fingers in my cup but food and he just stared at me. So we left after eating about 3-4 bites of food. They didn't adjust our ticket or take my food and hot tea off so we paid over $24 for nothing. If I could give it a minus rating I would. I will NEVER go back here again.

Yelp
If you are in the mood for a Chinese Buffet and for some strange reason you're stuck in Dickson, then Ming's Court is your best option. It's a large buffet with many options to choose from including sushi and a hibachi grill. The staff has been attentive for all of my visits and the food is okay. There are a few things that bother me about Ming's Court though. 1. They need to clean everything. It just doesn't look like they clean regularly. I feel dirty when I walk in the door and that's just not how I want to feel in a restaurant. 2. The prices are on the high side. I took my family of 4 here and we all ordered water. Our tab came to nearly $60.00. 3. With such high prices, I expect better quality food. The food taste and quality doesn't justify the price. While Ming's may be the best option for a Chinese buffet for people living in or around Dickson, that doesn't make it good. Before heading to Ming's I'd make sure that Chinese is really what you're craving.

Yelp
Good quality food ,nice service, decent prices, and calm environment. The decor is subtle its located in a fairly accessible spot, and easily spotted.

Diana S.

Yelp
Buffet is always great! They do a super job keeping fresh hot food coming out all of the time. I can always count on a great meal to pick up and take home.

Yelp
Best Chinese buffet in town!!!! Selection, quantity, quality...ALL superb
google avatar

Kristy A.

Yelp
For a buffet it's pretty decent. All of it was pretty good. We went on a Sunday so it will guarantee that the food is fresh!

Scott R.

Yelp
We went in for a quick lunch and the food was OK for fast Chinese food however the service was terrible it was impossible to get a glass of water and when I left because I was in a hurry to leave I asked for a simple scoop of ice cream and a jack ass wanted to charge me four dollars additional I will never be back because he's an idiot understand business it's the first yelp review put a two star
google avatar

Andrea L.

Yelp
OUR FAVORITE!!!!! The food is ALWAYS fresh and delicious!! Whenever we have a date night, that's the first suggestion out of the husband's mouth!! They do a fabulous job!!
google avatar

Susie J.

Yelp
A good place. The waiters and waitresses are nice. The food is usually hot and fresh. Love this buffet. Only issue is the price.
google avatar

Casey D.

Yelp
Nasty, Nasty, Nasty! Food not good, Informed (rude) Manager that there was a roach crawling on the wall, didn't act like he cared. Will never go back.. I would much rather eat Panda Express across the street than this.
google avatar

Alison O.

Yelp
This place was good a several years ago when they first opened...we recommended them and took friends and family. However, it has slowly gone downhill. The food tastes like it has been sitting out if you don't go during a dinner rush and if you go during the dinner rush, half of the buffet is empty and it takes too long to be refilled. It is now overpriced for the mediocre experience.
google avatar

James P.

Yelp
The only reason I gave this place even a 2 star rating was because of the grill which is included in the cost of the buffet. The grill is actually pretty good, but the buffett taste like frozen food,& bad frozen food at that. Most expensive Chinese Buffett in town,& the worst!
google avatar

Ju M.

Yelp
I spent thanksgiving caring for some one with salmonella after they ate here usually that doesn't happen but with the quality of food I wouldn't risk it . I can make most dishes they offer at home for cheap
google avatar

Jason M.

Yelp
Samr old shlop you can expect in most of US. Its fight night friday and saturday to get snow crab legs, frustrating. Hibachi grill is a good choice, sushi is very limited. What happened to the oysters? MIA.. Suggest they tweek their ancient buffet items.
google avatar

William R.

Yelp
Very filling, good variety, clean, inexpensive, and friendly and attentive wait staff. This is your typical Chinese buffet. Nice made in front of you, hibachi grill. Salads, fish, beef, pork, chicken, American and Chinese. You name it, they have it. Good variety of ice cream for desert as well as the usual cakes and cookies. A satisfying meal.

Bolivar S.

Yelp
Use to be much better when under different management. New management doesn't seem to care about much of anything and the food quality has gone down. I suggest trying Ichiro or Ginger Hibachi.

Jon A.

Yelp
Despite the previous reviews we decided to try this restaurant and found it delightfully good. We arrived around 6 PM during the week and the food was fresh with many choices and fresh sushi. The sushi is not the best however, it's some of the best buffet sushi I have ever had. We will definitely be coming back especially for the hot and sour soup, chicken and broccoli and lo mein.
google avatar

Crystal N.

Yelp
This is my favorite Chinese restaurant. It's Chinese buffet--it tastes the same as other decent Chinese buffets, but this one is better. Here's why: it is a really LARGE buffet with numerous options (six whole buffet units). I get the usual stuff like fried rice, vegetable lo mein, saucy broccoli and mushrooms, egg rolls, etc.; but Ming's Court has more different stuff like rice custard rolls (my absolute favorite item), seafood, a salad bar and a large dessert bar. I've been eating here for six years and I have yet to try everything that I would like to try. They even offer American items for the discriminating eater (kids) like pizza and ice cream. They have a hibachi grill and sushi (which I have not tried). I always get chop sticks off the hibachi grill, and I always order hot tea that is brought to me in the cutest little tea pot with a cute Chinese tea cup to drink it out of (unlike the chipped coffee mug that I get at other restaurants). And then there is the décor. Yes, it's Chinese, but it is like super, fancy Chinese because there are huge chandeliers and they play classical music. **Vegetarian friendly**

Yelp
Good food on the buffet with lots of choices and had a great taste for the food. the service is good the waitresses get a little to jumpy in refreshing drinks dont ask first but good. have gottne take out from there many times. many say the price is too high but I think it is right compared to what you get .
google avatar

Patricia D.

Yelp
First time and found out that they had a great variety , Buffets were clean and food was very tasty. and I do have plans to return and will try to use chop sticks ...Even my husband liked it. Everyone was nice and helpful
google avatar

Pamela B.

Yelp
Food is standard American Chinese food.. But when ordering take out it is very annoying to always be told just a minute and them setting the phone down. My money is just as important as the person standing in line to pay you. Difference is You have their money set in stone because they already ate.. but my money?--Leave me hanging on the phone and you have lost a sale. The guy who answer the phone ALWAYS makes you hold but the young lady that works the phones is right on top of things.

Yelp
I remember when Mings Court used to be the best place to go in Dickson County. Now, not so much..Not so much at all! The food tasted as if it was not cooked all the way and the services was absolute horrible! The best thing about it was the compliment me and girlfriend had gotten at the door. Worst place by far I have EVER ate it. NEVER again will they receive my service.

Rebecca M.

Yelp
I ate the buffet at Ming Court on Thursday October 1, 2009, AT 5:30 p.m. when it should have been fresh. I ate one bite of the fried scallop and it was dried out and tasted like it had been sitting there since lunch time. I ate one shrimp and it was dried out. The crab rangoon was dried out and so I didn't try anything else that I bought at the price of $10.81 for ONE take-out box. One hour later, I was SO SICK. Nausea, and every symptom of food poisoning so you can imagine, without me being blunt. It's too gross. However, I was SO SICK for FIVE DAYS. FIVE DAYS!!!! I went to the hospital on Saturday, October 3, 2009, Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, TN. I was dizzy, nauseated, and had other symptoms. After taking several vials of my blood, a urine sample, and other tests, the doctor told me everything was normal so in her opinion, my symptoms were food poisoning. Five days of severe cramping, nausea, dizziness and diarhea. Is it worth it, people? There are several chinese restaurants in Dickson, TN. Good ones. If I were you, I would not eat at Ming Court on Hwy 46. Please protect yourselves. Believe me, I had always had good food there too but this one time of being so sick scared me so much, I'll never eat there again. I'm a licensed professional also so I'm not just some homeless person trying to get money or 15 seconds of fame. Be careful. You can feel free to email me at bpmm33128@aol.com Rebecca M. Dickson, TN
