One of the best places I have been to that keeps their environment closer to natural beauty and still do best for accommodating their guests. I would recommend you to check out here at least before looking into other places if you want to stay with beauty scenes with a big lake under clear sunny sky. There are also availability of a smaller lake with garden view. If you have a good camera with a tripod, you could capture the clear night sky view over the lake depending upon the weather. Breakfast and their own restaurant are good but you wanna tell them to reduce spice for some meals since it was a little too hot for us. Accommodating and their service is good but television isn't much. But it didn't bother us much since we also sit outside near lake. They also provide wifi service with moderate speed. Electric power is available from 5 pm to 7 am all throughout the night. For the day period, it depends on EPC schedule. They allowe for 🐶 pets but with their limitation so you might wanna look into. Plenty of car parking. Have a lengthy trail for walk which goes around the big lake. If you do yoga, you could do under the sunny sky near the lake since there are lots of empty space with green grass. I saw kids playing around the grass with their pet. The downside of nature beauty with lake comes with mosquitoes. But good thing is they only come out at night time so bring your repellent if you wanna sit out at night time.

We have stayed at this hotel many times in the past during our travels in Myanmar and have never been disappointed. Our last stay was for three nights.||The hotel grounds are very beautiful, a large well kept garden with a nice variety of trees and plants, surrounding a small lake full of oversized carp. It is a very quiet and restful place, off the main road, perfect for a good sleep. Notwithstanding the lake, but thanks to the carps, there are no mosquitoes and the staff set up coils if required.||Accomodation is composed of bungalows divided into two, certain by the lake and others set back. The rooms on the lake are spacious, simple but well equipped, with very comfortable bedding, and a good sized ensuite bathroom. Very good housekeeping. Also a good and relatively cheap laundry service.||Staff has always been young, maybe hesitant in languages other than Myanma, although some during our recent stay had very good English. They are always available and agreeably helpful.||The hotel has a restaurant, with tables in verandas by the lake. The quality of food has improved much over the years and during our last stay we ate very well, with a good choice of traditional dishes (Chinese style). Breakfast (good variety) is quite passable compared to other places and now offers very good soup.||A nice place to rest for a while.

I stayed at Mingalar Gardens for a week and enjoyed it immensely. The rooms are quiet and cool, they are upkept daily and very clean. The setting of the resort is so tranquil surrounded by water, lush gardens and greenery. The service is beyond reproach, I went for a walk into the surrounding area and met the gardener, who was excited to show me the dam where they used to gerate power and his gardens, then showed me a tree, several hundreds of years old, that we climbed. It’s the unexpected experiences that make visiting a new country memorable. The food was also excellent, grown organically on the grounds (thanks to the gardener). This resort isn’t a place to be pampered (I don’t think Myanmar is set up for the Bali/Thaiand style pampering in any regard, however it is simple and relaxing. I enjoyed this accommodation above all others in my Myanmar stay.

This was our second visit to Pyay and the second time we stayed in the Mingalar Garden Resort. This time for 3 nights. It is a little way out of town on the way to Sri Ksetra. The setting is lovely with the rooms set in a garden around a lake. It was lovely to eat breakfast by the lakeside; the food was nice, but as can be the case with a buffet style breakfast the 'hot' food can be rather cold. We ate there twice in the evening, the second time very much through choice. My wife and I both felt that the food was better than it had been the last time we had been there (2015). As is noted in other reviews there is no kettle in the room, but when you rang for a thermos of hot water, it arrived quickly.

Quirky cabins set around and on water with odd platforms as a beds. Comfortable enough but the bathroom was dark and very tired. The food however was very good served on waterside decks and the service was also very good. As always in Myanmar the staff are helpful and full of smiles.

Hotel Rating B+ (72/100) Room **** Service **** Price **** Location **** Breakfast ** 🚨 No pool 🐶 Pet allowed It is one of the best resorts in Pyay. It has wide natural lake and surrounded by lavish tropical trees. The restaurant serves with delicious taste with reasonable price. But in the day time, can't get to assess electriccity supply. I recommend japanese style bangalore rather than lake view. When there is an event, lake view can get some noises from the event.

The hotel is an oasis of calm and beauty in this incredible country. The bungalows are set amongst beautiful water gardens. Staff are very friendly and efficient.|A couple of downsides are, why no kettle, and who thought that style of bed was a good idea?! |To make tea and coffee you have a flask that someone will happily come and fill with hot water, or you could walk across to the kitchens and get it filled instead. It would have been so much easier to plug a kettle in. |The beds were on a raised platforms.and very comfortable to lie in, but very difficult to get out of! |We did like the down lighting that meant when you did manage to get out of bed at night, you could find your way to the bathroom easily.|We wished we could have stayed for at least a second night.

This hotel features little individual rooms in a wonderful garden setting. The rooms are Japanese style with a bed platform. Watch out for the weird step in the bathroom. The meals are served in lovely platforms overlooking the lake. The rather limited breakfast menu was compensated by the lovely view and watching the vast number of truly huge carp in the pond.
