Mingary Castle

My partner and I had a fantastic stay at Mingarry park for our anniversary. Upon arrival we were greeted with a cocktail and anniversary balloons. We stayed in the suite with the hot tub which was extra special and luxurious. Everything about our stay was wonderful, the staff in the hotel are extremely accommodating and friendly. The bed was extremely comfy and spacious, the room had a coffee machine as well as GHD hair dryer, and straighteners! The food was incredible- with some of the best meals I have ever consumed when staying in a hotel. The breakfast in particular was something to look forward to each morning. A special mention has to be made to chef Carlos who spoke to us and created a meal bespoke to our dietary requirements. This also included the staff getting oat milk especially for our stay. As corny as it sounds, everyone at Mingarry Park were absolutely dedicated to making each individuals stay special and showed genuine care and thoughtfulness in how they interacted with guests. We are excited for our next visit!

There are so many wonderful things to say about this hotel it’s hard to know where to begin. It combines pure luxury with a wonderful home from home experience against a wild and unspoilt Scottish Highland backdrop. Every detail of your stay has been so carefully thought out and planned and after travelling to many hotels in different parts of the world over many years, I can honestly say this is one of the best places I have ever stayed. We stayed for 3 nights in the stunning Mingarry suite and our friend stayed in the Moidart room. Both had balconies with the most stunning views and everything from the furnishings and beautifully soft and luxurious carpet, to the towels, bathrobes and bedding was of exceptional quality, softness and comfort. There are so many thoughtful details such as the light switch for the bedside light thoughtfully adhered to the side of the bedside cabinet so you’re not fumbling down the side of the bed to find it, the most amazingly powerful hairdryer i have ever had in a hotel anywhere and something I have never ever seen - hair straighteners! We loved the book detailing the story of how Emma and John have thoughtfully and carefully made the family inherited Mingarry Park the place it is today, whilst also bringing up a young family. What a tremendous achievement and Nicola and her wonderful wandering ducks are a fabulous addition to the family atmosphere. A special mention also to our young breakfast waitress of Scottish / Italian heritage who clearly loves the place as much as the family does and gave us wonderful recommendations for our walks each day, which proved to be the absolute correct choice for the weather conditions (and were just as stunning as she described). The food was also a highlight, with a carefully thought out and creative menu of the highest quality local ingredients. |Thank you Emma and your wonderful team for making our stay so memorable in every way. We had a fantastic 2 night stay at Mingarry. We stayed in the Mingarry site which was spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast was fresh and delicious and we also used the packed lunch. The dinner menu had plenty of choice and the service was relaxed and friendly. The Mingarry is a great base for touring the area and I’m happy to recommend this to other travellers.

Enjoyed a wonderful afternoon tea. Had to bring a few things home as there were so many delicious items on the tea tray! Wonderful just to relax and enjoy the ambiance for the afternoon. Dinner preparation had started just as we left, and it smelled so good that we will be back to enjoy a meal.

Had a very short but pleasant stay at Mingarry. We arrived late afternoon and welcomed by Emma who was a lovely host. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable and the hot tub was much needed after a lot of travelling. Evening meal and breakfast was high quality. We took a recommendation to try Ardtoe Beach which was spectacular. Thanks and I’m sure we will see you again

Everything about our stay was phenomenal. Dinner first. The food, cocktails, atmosphere, and service were all amazing. I have special dietary restrictions and they were extremely accommodating of that. Best meal I’ve had! As far as the room, we stayed in the MacDougall suite and it was such a treat! The bathroom is an old chapel and it was beautifully remodeled. The view from the castle itself is spectacular. Can’t say enough good things about the castle and staff. We’ll be back!

Had an absolutely gorgeous lunch at Mingary Castle - it was definitely a highlight of our trip to Ardnamurchan. The food was incredible and great value. Lovely service too! A very special experience not to be missed if you are coming to the area

I cannot recommend this place highly enough. The whole castle has been beautifully restored and exquisitely furnished & decorated. The food was OUTSTANDING by an award winning chef, in exquisite surroundings & superb service.
