I was genuinely impressed by this place. What sold me was the design; it's got this cool, authentic rustic feel that really sets it apart from typical hostels. But forget that—the rooftop setup is what I constantly looked forward to. Seriously, soaking in the jacuzzi up there after a long day of walking was pure bliss, and it's where everyone naturally hung out. Its location in Chinatown is unbeatable for exploring. Additionally, the Hostel organizes events nearly every day with the other branches owned by Mingle (IIRC there are 4) and it's great way to meet other people from all walks of life. Shoutout to Dave for providing useful information about shopping for a specific thing. And big up to Lopi who helped me plan and organize a spontaneous karaoke night with other fellow travelers. Overall, I highly recommend staying here for the vibe and convenience alone.
Sidenote, I may have mentioned it before to the staff there, but just a reminder that the newly opened terrace area above the Deceased Bar is also great place to drink and hangout BUT the stairs could use handrails which will provide extra safety for those using it. Just some practical and useful feedback for the Mingle Management.
