Ministere Hotel

Very disappointing experience.||||The hotel photos online are misleading. We booked a €5,400 suite, but the room was dirty, had hair, insects on the bed, a bad smell, and very poor hygiene. The suite had very long and steep internal staircases, which felt unsafe, and upon reaching the room there was another long staircase leading to the living area. None of this was mentioned online.||||When we complained and requested a refund, the staff were unprofessional and aggressive, refused the refund, and asked us to leave. Booking.com suggested another hotel 30 minutes away from Paris, which is unacceptable for a city vacation.||||The hotel does not match its online presentation.||Not recommended.

This hotel experience was a huge mixed bag for me. The location is wonderful and staff was kind. During check in I paid the city tax as I figured it would be best to get it out of the way. We had to get to the airport early and no one was at the desk to check us out so we put our room keys at their computer and took a taxi. Later, I received an email and a call stating that I have not paid the city tax or bar bill. I had no problem providing payment information for the bar over the phone but they continued saying that I had not paid for the tax. I provided a screenshot from my banking app with the transaction ID and amount charged. They then acknowledged that it was an issue on their end. I want to state that even during this frustrating exchange they were still trying to be kind and respectful. We had a duplex room which was generous in size and exactly what we needed but the quality was lacking. The front door is glass with tall windows and heavy blackout curtains that stretch from ceiling to floor and dragged along the ground. This made opening the door challenging and caused one of those curtains to fall. We were told that they would hang the curtain back up the morning after we reported the issue but it instead was left on the floor for the rest of our stay. The bathroom was rough, the shower leaked all over the floor unless you put a towel to cover the missing sealant along the door and you can tell this is an ongoing issue due to the water damage along the wood trim. Bathroom fixtures and handles were attached poorly like one of the shower door handles and the bathtub handheld sprayer. The chandelier light bulbs also had a terrible buzzing sound when turned on. The housekeeping was wonderful and they offered us free access to the minibar after the curtain issues. Due to the good service but frustrating room and payment issues I cannot recommend booking this hotel. However, my experience is only with one room and if you check out during standard hours that may help improve your stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hôtel Le Ministère. The hotel is clean, quiet, and in a great location. A special thank you to Alex at the front desk, who was super friendly and helpful throughout our stay. He made everything easy and was always happy to assist. We’d definitely stay here again!

Quaint hotel, in a great location. Staff were friendly, breakfast was simple. The rooms appear small, however we had a suite which suited 3 people.

This is a hidden gem in a great location in Paris. Rooms are large for Paris and the staff is amazing. The nice Peruvian gentleman saved our trip by finding a taxi during a taxi strike! Alex also was wonderfully helpful with anything we needed. I was especially touched by the lady at the front desk remembering days later to ask how my wife was feeling. All in all a true gem of a hotel. Can’t recommend enough

A great little independent Boutique type hotel, in a great location and great value for money 🙂 The staff are friendly and speak good English 👍 The hotel is in an old building but it is well maintained with lots of quirky (but nice) fixtures and fittings 👍 The Bedroom I had was on the Ground floor (Room 62), accessed via a small Courtyard which was cool 😎. The Bed was on a split level Mezzanine floor accessed via a metal Spiral Staircase, which was quite novel 🙂 though it was noisy walking up and down it, so if there's two of you, you might want to book a different room 😉 The Bed was very comfortable and he Aircon was great👍 Being located on the inside of the building meant it was also very quiet 😎 The Breakfast was good, offering a good selection of Cereal, Meats, Cheeses, Smoked Salmon and Hot food 👍 The Coffee was also really good. Definitely a great place to stay 👍😎

This hotel offers the visitor good city location, friendly helpful staff and clean modern surroundings within the common areas.|For the fitness visitor there is a basement gym with a choice of equipment.||We booked a superior double and here I would suggest if you are a couple you check with the hotel regarding the room size and layout. We were in room 34 and in my opinion this would be more suited to single occupancy. I would urge the hotel to review options to improve clothes storage within this type of room.||From the hotel you are in easy walking distance of shopping streets and some of the Paris attractions. The nearest Metro is less than a 10 minute walk.

A terrible experience. 1. I did my reservation through Agoda. In my reservation, it was mentioned that city tax is included but I was forced to pay 50 Euro- the city tax. Although I showed them their partner Agoda’s documents & screenshots showing that the city tax was included and I explained them that they should solve the issue with Agoda, they didn’t accept it. 2. The rooms were small and there was a bad smell probably from the carpets. 3. I stayed there 3 nights and air condition didn’t work in the first night. We had to wait till the morning. 4. Location was good and staff were polite. Response to your reply: You didn’t contact Agoda. You contacted a partner of you that is so amateur that they were saying I did my reservation at Expedia instead of Agoda. Indeed, I have shown you in my booking that “ city tax is included statement “ by Agoda. I can share screenshots again. I still try to understand how unprofessional you are managing customer claims. It is not about 50 Euro-it is about the approach.

La literie est parfaite et propre. Le petit déjeuner est frais et diversifié.Une étoile de plus pour leur jus d'orange frais . Merci pour ce séjour sans faute

This modern hotel is tucked away on a quiet street close to the fashion and business center of Paris, the Hotel du Ministère has a contemporary decor and features an art collection. I opened the door to the room to find a beautifully designed loft, with a flat-screen TV in the wall, a Bose iPod player and free organic soft drinks in the minibar! The bathroom has plush robes and slippers too! A wonderful buffet breakfast is provided each morning (eggs, croissants, assorted meats, juices, fruit, and a cappuccino machine)! The hotel's bar offers a variety or organic wines, teas and flavored waters. They also have a nicely equipped fitness room and a reading room, as well! The Champs-Elysées, Place de la Concorde, Place de la Madeleine, and the designer shopping street of Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré are only a short distance from this hotel's central location. If you stay in Paris - Stay here!!

Loved the location and staff. Make sure you pay for the included breakfast as it is fantastic. Had a great stay, would definitely return.

Pros: This hotel is in a great location. There's a convenience store 2 min away where you can buy water and a few groceries/snacks. Then, within a 10 min walking distance there are 2 metro stops, the Av. des Champs Elysees, restaurants around the Pl. de la Madeleine, and shops along the Rue Saint Honore. The hotel also has a small gym downstairs with free weights, a treadmill, a rowing machine, a bike, and a total body gym. Cons: Customer service is inconsistent. Upon check-in, the front desk told us breakfast was included with our stay, so we ate the small buffet breakfast every morning (eggs, meats, cheeses, breads, cereals, coffee, juice, etc). Unfortunately, when we checked out, the hotel charged us for breakfast noting we had the "breakfast not included rate". We were surprised and disappointed about the change and reminded them of our check-in details. However, they still charged us in the end. So, would I come back? Probably not. It's a nice hotel, but the mix-up with the breakfast just gave me a poor memory, with no emphasis on a positive customer experience. I wish the hotel had honored their original statement and conceded the breakfast charges.

This is a fabulous boutique hotel... it's in a very quiet location (a real boon for Paris!) with very modern decor and clean, well appointed rooms... Absolutely loved it and would definitely stay again...
