I’m glad to be here at Ministry of Crab Bangkok. The crab was just as fresh as promised and advertised. I first had an amazing experience at their original branch in 🇱🇰Colombo many years ago and now again in 🇹🇭Bangkok. It was a pleasure to meet Executive Chef Harsha, a super friendly and passionate Sri Lankan chef who still carries the same warm hospitality and culinary excellence. 😀👍🏻
I began with the prawn bisque, a comforting and flavourful start which made from Sri Lanka’s famous freshwater prawn and infused with a bold mix of spices. The rich broth, paired with traditional wood-fired Kade bread, was the perfect warm-up for the main act.
Then came the highlight, my pre-ordered XL-size chilled crab. Served without gravy in its purest form, the freshness and natural sweetness of the crab truly stood out. No distractions and just premium crab, perfectly cooked and chilled.
What followed was not just a meal, but a 3Hrs crab “postmortem” session. With precision and patience, I dissected claw by claw, leg by leg, shell by shell, determined to extract every last bite of the sweet, delicate meat. It became a culinary ritual, combining both skill and appreciation. A true crab lover’s experience.😋👍🏻🦀
Throughout the entire session, Mr. Bill and his team delivered impeccable service, never rushing, always attentive and fully supportive of my slow-paced seafood indulgence. Dining here isn’t just about eating, it’s about celebrating the art of crab. I’m already looking forward to coming back for the next round.
