Wonderful place to eat off the beaten path. The food was delicious. And the server was friendly and helpful when deciding what to order. He recommended the proper portions for sharing instead of maximizing the bill and his tip. The water views were spectacular. And the atmosphere was relaxed. I would certainly going there again.

Google
In town from Palm Beach and was looking for a beautiful water front restaurant. Minnow was exactly what I was looking for. Everything from the atmosphere to the service was on par! The chef personally brought out our delicious food and explained the dish for us. Sitting right on the water we enjoyed a beautiful breeze and amazing live music with a server who was very nice and attentive but not bothersome. 10/10 would recommend for anyone looking for the perfect meal!

Google
Incredible experience! Wonderful view of the water and a really cool vibe to the restaurant. We shared the special grilled salmon which was delicious and the roasted potatoes were some of the best I have ever had. Definitely give Minnow a try when you’re on the North Fork. We came over from the beach, parking was super easy and the kids menu has a smaller portion of the chicken Milanese Thant my kids LOVED and it came with ice cream from a local creamery. Strongly recommend!

What a Long Island gem! Dinner was amazing with local, sustainably caught fresh fish. Everything that Chef Anna prepared was beyond incredible. The thought and care that went into each dish was translated into each bite. The atmosphere here is exactly what you would want dining al fresco. The back deck hosts a beautiful view of the Peconic Bay that does not disappoint. Rosalia the bar manager made an incredible spicy tamarind margarita that is a must. Our server Sophia was knowledgeable about the menu options and all the different varieties of fish and their preparation. Honestly, I cannot say enough about the food, ambiance, and service. This will be a restaurant to frequent all summer long!

We called 30 minutes before 5pm on a Saturday and Jules got our party of 6 in not long after. She was enthusiastic and funny which made out experience even better! From the lobster, to the oysters, ceviche, & grilled carrots everything was perfect! Only complaint was the $6 can of coke 🫣 will def be back tho!

Gorgeous waterfront setting, tasteful yet casual vibe, very good food, not great service, expensive. This place, the old Galley Ho in New Suffolk, just opened as Minnow. It’s ambitious, in serving all organic/sustainably caught veg and seafood, but it’s not up to speed and has some issues. Our server was pleasant and eager, but clueless. We (2 people) waited 35 minutes to be asked if we wanted a drink, and 20 more for the drink to come. The Grey Goose on the rocks with olives had 3 teensy olives loose at the bottom of the glass. We had to tell our server we were ready to order. Our apps did not come out together. Mains did. The menu says “we are a small kitchen trying to do big things. In lieu of coursing, our dishes are made to share, and served as ready.” If the portions were indeed sharing size, that might be fine, but overall, it’s just awkward when one person has their food and the other does not. Sat with empty drinks until we grabbed the waiter again. This place serves all organic veggies/sustainably caught seafood, and everything was clearly very fresh. It’s a concept we want to support. The black bass ceviche was good, although a more assertive marinade would be nice; it didn’t taste very citrusy. It was a bowl of lightly marinated fish chunks with a small amount of cilantro and onion. We added a few big squeezes of lemon. My clams on the half-shell were tiny; I think they should use larger little necks/top necks so we actually get a decent mouthful. The clams were not very sweet, so I can tell they came from the bay, perhaps even from somewhere to the west. Clams from our local inlets are sweeter. Mains were (put in front of the wrong persons) deep-fried tilefish almandine batons and fluke oreganata with a “petit salad” that turned out to be sautéed Swiss chard. The buerre blanc sauce on the fluke was a little too subtle and I really couldn’t detect oregano. Swiss chard can be tough, so if they’re sourcing local organic, they might want to specify young leaves for their greens. I’m fine with older greens as I understand their nature, but the average person might have an issue. I would not have chosen this if I had known the “salad” was cooked chard. I supposed I could have asked, but I assumed the word “salad” was being used in the usual sense. Overall, the food could use more impact, flavor and color. Some more fresh veggies, brighter sauces, some colorful garnish, etc. The foundations of the dishes are very good, though. I was not a fan of the glassware and cutlery. I get that the vibe is “seafood shack,” but the glassware is a thick, flared, faceted tumbler, and drinking a blood-orange martini on the rocks from such a clunky glass was underwhelming. The cutlery is mismatched stainless steel, and I get the aesthetic, but it’s that really thin, pressed stuff that’s kind of rough on the edges and not very pleasant to hold. The price point here is $$$, and for that reason, I think they need to offer more complex, technically excellent food, use better glass and tableware, serve courses together properly, and train the staff. I do love the intention, and I hope they improve. I hate seeing people with a great concept go under. The location cannot be beat on a nice day; get a table on the deck. I would go again if I saw a new thing on the menu that particularly appealed, but not during a busy time. The talk around town is that people have high hopes for that location as it’s so well-loved, and really, really want a place that is casual yet upscale, with good quality food and decent portions, high-ish prices okay but $19 a drink and $40 for a small bit of fish is not going to cut it. They need a regular clientele if they want to survive, because New Suffolk is not a large, walking village with an endless supply of hungry tourists. People around here have money, especially retirees, and they want a local place to get a nice dinner. This place will be fine in season, but winter will be a challenge. I suggest they be Minnow in the summer, and just way more Galley Ho the rest of the year.

Google
Came here yesterday with my husband and I have to say this restaurant is going to do great things. The food and drinks were really delicious and unique. We had the Rhubarb Lime Spritz, Kombucha, Organic Strawberry Basil Margarita, Organic Mushroom Bruschetta, Chicken Milanese & Blackfish Almondine. You cannot go wrong with any of these! The Blackfish Almondine was our favorite dish along with the Rhubarb Lime Spritz. The manager Jon was very accommodating. The restaurant overall was super clean, bathrooms were spotless, the atmosphere was peaceful and music was lovely. We will definitely be back here in the near future.

Yelp
If I only knew this place had such a cute outdoor area for dining I would have came way sooner. Spectacular view of the bay and decor. We didn't try much on the menu except for the oysters which they catch fresh from the vendor next door. all fish is caught sustainably which is a very nice concept. They are only open for summer season so I guess I'll have a go to next year.

Yelp
Stopped in on a Saturday night to watch some hockey grab some wings have some sushi and the Minnow at the Galley-Ho did not disappoint. Sushi appetizer was amazing. With delicious however it's a very small portion. I think there was maybe six wings. We sat at the bar and had excellent service. Staff was attentive. The place is really nice great atmosphere not too loud multiple televisions for watching a variety of sports.

Yelp
Very cool spot. Definitely has a Hamptons feel and price tag to match but the food and service do live up to the cost. The seafood is incredibly fresh. The views are gorgeous and it has a local cozy vibe. The crudo, baked oysters and ratatouille were delicious and even my son's chicken fingers (really more of a chicken cutlet Milanese style - which we much prefer) were so yummy. Only downside is prices are high and portions are small which is to be expected for the area. But the quality of food, drinks and ambiance in my opinion are worth it. If you're looking for a big meal on a budget it's not your place but for fine dining in a casual setting this place can't be beat!

Jennifer H.

Yelp
Just went for the second time last night and even with the weather being really gross and gray - the vibe and view were amazing. (The first time I went, my friend and I sat on the deck and it was so gorgeous out) The live musician last night was incredible! I got the pasta with zucchini (can't remember the actual name of it) and oh. my. gosh. The SAUCE was unreal. I genuinely can't even put my finger on specific flavors, but TRUST ME - you will NOT regret this one! Our waiter was great. Attentive, fun, engaging, and helped us solidify our menu choices. Absolutely will be back again!

Patty P.

Yelp
Fish is boat to table. Melts in your mouth. Beautiful setting and service to top tier!

Susan D.

Yelp
Food was barely mediocre. Drinks watered down and service was average. It was packed too ??? They advertise great seafood and oysters were anemic. I'll pay top dollar for really well prepared food- this was not the place.

Kevin N.

Yelp
Place is trash. food was greasy. Everything was expensive. Service was poor. Not worth it. Will not return.

T B.

Yelp
really terrible service. Don't bother coming here until they can retrain staff to have awareness of the patrons. Including the bartender who splashed our entire table while cleaning and when we politely pointed this out with a smile, and "I know you didn't mean to"...his reply was, "okay so?" Not a friendly place.

Rebecca W.

Yelp
We were here yesterday for lunch. It's a cool space and overall our experience wasn't terrible. Presentation of food was on point. We did wait easily 15 minutes for someone to come to our table to take a drink order which was tough with a 4 year old with us. Our food was okay. My fish was a little hammered and dry. We wanted coffee and dessert but the waiter brought us our check before we could ask.

Steve B.

Yelp
Would love to give this new spot an additional star or more, But it's overpriced, especially for lunch. A $20 simple white wine in a small juice glass? Really? We're not in Tuscany anymore. That said the food was very good. Peeks Oysters (their neighbor) are some of the best around. Oregon Road Heirloom Tomato salad was one of the tastiest Ive had as was the Grilled Little Gem Lettuce. Excellent view and warm inviting vibe. Service was excellent.

C K.

Yelp
When I'm fantasizing about my favorite meal in Italy, spaghetti crudo, I know I can go to Minnow and have an equally delicious experience! This place is great!

James H.

Yelp
Great new spot on the water. Prices are not shy, but from my experience, they were worth it. Duck frites; fish crudo (I forgot the type of fish, but the dish was memorable); and a yummy green salad - all excellent with a spectacular view and excellent service- highly recommend

Rich P.

Yelp
Such potential at this waterfront seafood restaurant. The food is delicious, but they're still working out service and the beautiful space is awkwardly arranged. At this price point I shouldn't be uncomfortable or wondering where my drink is and if they remembered my full order.

Amy P.

Yelp
I had the best meal of the summer last Saturday evening at Minnow. Andrea has created a gorgeous restaurant along the water - we were able to dock the boat and walk up. Everything was perfection from the line caught yellowtail, bluefish pate and mouth watering and unique linguine with crudo. The service was excellent and the menu unique to the Hamptons. The setting is gorgeous but not Hamptons-stuffy. Cornhole competitors, kids and dogs mingled in the yard. The interior is sophisticated, curated and incredibly welcoming. Don't miss it!

Sandra T.

Yelp
I will start off with the positives. They were very accommodating, and the food was very tasty, fresh and prepared and presented well. Now for the negatives. I got a Bloody Mary. It was set on the table literally overflowing - the whole side of my glass was covered. I had to wipe it off. Also the straw it comes with? The straw is so tiny I could not drink it. I ended up drinking as much as i could and ended up ordering another drink because I just couldn't struggle with the Bloody Mary anymore. As they mention on their menu, they serve food as is finished. Which, of course. But, our table was so small it could not fit all of our food, so the server brought back half of our food to let it sit in the kitchen. I give three stars because the food was that good - however, there's a decent amount of front of the house stuff that needs to be worked on. I wish I felt inclined to take more pictures of the food, but the multiple tiny negatives of the service part made me so sad that I only thought to take a picture of the Bloody Mary straw.

Thomas D.

Yelp
The setting is spectacular. The staff is extremely friendly and the food is over the top! The owner will go fishing herself to have the freshest and most delicious fish on the menu.

Lyn C.

Yelp
The scallops were like butter and the entire experience was exceptional from service to food quality to ambiance. The table next to me was also commenting on how much they enjoyed the food and the patio dining.

Yelp
I am sorry to report this because I wanted the $200 I spent last night on a minuscule amount of food to feel worth it and special but it really didn't. We had a reservation for 8 pm and were seated by 8:10. Waiter took our drink order by 8:15 and said he would come back and get food order when he brought our drinks. We ordered a beer and a small bottle of sake. It was sushi night (there was no sushi on menu btw). Drinks did not come quickly even though nothing had to be made - and instead our waiter reappeared at 8:45 so say that he couldn't find the sake we wanted so he wanted to comp us two martinis that also never came. At 9:15 we got the beer and then mysteriously the lost bottle of sake appeared - without glasses to drink it with. Now the food - we ordered a cucumber salad, two orders of the crispy rice appetizer because it came with two pieces each and we were three people. And a poke bowl and appetizer dumplings. The salad came first - it was good. We were starving. Next came one of the two crispy rice appetizers we ordered with no explanation as to where the other one was. One piece of crispy rice was plump with tuna the other was skimpy. We would find out after that they ran out of food and that's why the second one of those appetizers never arrived. The rest came sporadically and we had to ask. The wait staff felt bad but apparently the kitchen had run out of food and we were lucky to get what we did. We left starving and feeling very unsatisfied. It was a terrible experience overall and the dregs of the food we did get - did not make up for it at all.

Mark M.

Yelp
Outstanding food. The heirloom salad, Swordfish and Diver Scallops were all superb. Excellent choice of tap beers. Wine list could be better. Service was decent given how crowded it was. Views are very nice. As a new restaurant it surely has growing pains and will improve.

Lisa P.

Yelp
The ceviche appetizer was amazing, as was the lentil dish for lunch. So yummy! And the bloody Mary... The service was excellent, and the view out back is gorgeous.

Tina L.

Yelp
I ordered oysters which never arrived because the staff person in the kitchen decided to walk out without doing my order. The pasta dish was terrible as it was completely overwhelmed by oil.

Paul K.

Yelp
Wonderful addition to NOFO good scene. Setting is gorgeous - both Busse and out. The food was delicious - creative, different, and really well prepared. Service and staff super friendly. Fantastic!!

Gil G.

Yelp
Excellent offerings and super comfy vibe Hats off to the staff! Must try the Asian night on Mondays

Debbie E.

Yelp
We ate on the patio last night and it was a wonderful evening. Beautiful setting right on the bay. Service personable and spot on. Food uniquely different and only local fresh fish. We loved it and can't wait to go back.

Frank V.

Yelp
This was our second time there and we love it, the setting and the food are great. The only minus, both times we were there, they screwed up our drink order. Martinis are pretty simple, very dry means a hint of vermouth, not a ton and not dirty..they fixed it, but from now on we'll stick with the wine.

Amy M.

Yelp
i had a birthday dinner here and they were great. went above and beyond to make it a special night. We had a very large party-close to 30. They worked with us on the menu including the wine. never had a bad thing when dining here. Grilled little gems, charcuterie, smoked bluefish, oyster on the half shell, fish almondine, grilled fish are all to die for. there were so many more plates that were just great. I would say that there were a couple of missteps during dinner- like they brought all the apps out at once instead of over time and opened all the wine bottles at once instead of over the course of several hours. I believe we were the first large party since they opened and all in all we were extremely happy. Also, we had someone in our party with celiac disease and they made sure she was taken care of which was so important to us.

James H.

Yelp
Beautiful location, good service and atmosphere, Chef Cheo does it again, delicious local food. We had the black sea bass ceviche, the greens/beet/Catapano goat cheese salad and the Duck frites. The best of the North Fork, look forward to coming back soon!

Sara K.

Yelp
Beautiful setting. Very good food. Haphazard service with entrees brought within minutes of appetizers. Then such a long wait for the dessert that we finally canceled the dessert order and gave up. All the North Fork prices are high now, but this place stood out for its poor cost/value ratio.

R M.

Yelp
It's a great addition to the food scene out here. Atmosphere- it's more upscale than the previous restaurant. Nice decor and good, upbeat vibes. Can't beat the waterfront view. Menu- loved seeing locally sourced wine, fish and ingredients on the menu. Prices are on the higher side but the good food and presentation are worth it. I would go again and recommend it to friends.

Theryn G.

Yelp
This new restaurant is lovely. The food is so fresh and interesting and there's a wide variety. They grill whole fish on their outdoor wood grill. The prices are definitely up there but I don't see much of a difference compared with the other restaurants out of the North Fork price wise. The big difference is this food is delicious and fresh and local. For me, because of the prices, it's a special occasion type restaurant. But for some of my friends, it's a weekly staple now. Great addition to the North Fork. And they serve Peeko oysters, local clams, and they do it right--ice cold and delicious. I've tried the duck and fries as well and wasn't disappointed. My only recommendation would be to add a chicken dish or a burger so my husband will be convinced to go.

Born Here L.

Yelp
Food was good, pricing and portion size however, a different story . Unless you like a $40 plate of Penne served on a tea cup saucer and $19 for a basic drink , $10 for a draft beer . Ambiance , very nice . So obviously this place is supposed to attract people that are used to paying prices in NYC . But if the 4 of you , live out on the quant North Fork, get the least expensive dishes for lunch , one drink each, then pay your $280 + tip bill, and have to go somewhere to eat after because you are starving, you probably won't be going back! Another nice location , sadly, taken away from Leftovers , and now catered to Citiots .

Michael R.

Yelp
Nothing to offer only the view. I wouldn't go back.small food portions. No chicken no steak. Only duck I'm not a duck lover. It's very expensive for what you get.

Isabelle H.

Yelp
I had been looking toward to trying Minnow. The location and ambience was lovely but the rest of the experience was sadly disappointing. It wasn't a particularly busy night, but our server kept forgetting any requests and when asked for lemon brought us a whole one with a knife. The charcuterie board for four people had a tablespoon's worth of cheese and 4 duck slices for $62.00. The menu said food is served family style to be shared. My husband and I ordered a spaghetti fluke crudo. The spaghetti was hard and barely cooked and the portion was ridiculously small for $41.00. We would have sent it back but our server never reappeared.

Laurie W.

Yelp
Food was okay. Lunch menu was small, I had lobster roll, it was nothing special. We went on a rainy day so the inside was packed. Very noisy. Would go back in the evening when dinner menu has more to offer and the night is clear to sit outside. $120 for three sandwiches. Kinda crazy.

Jennifer G.

Yelp
Had an excellent meal tonight! The restaurant was very accommodating to our enormous party and the food was excellent - not sure what people are talking about re: small portions. Lots of the ingredients come from the owner's garden and are super fresh and local. They were also super kind about having a lot of kids in our party. The view on the water is also pretty spectacular, even in the rain. Best meal I've had in the area in a long time.

Leslie L.

Yelp
We live near Minnow and after going once early in the summer, we've probably been back eight times, whether for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The waterfront setting is beyond compare, the atmosphere is lovely (whether inside or out) and the hyper-local menu is varied and unique - food is delicious. The place has a welcoming feel and a really nice staff. I love this restaurant and am so happy to live nearby. It's not easy to run a high quality place like this and food costs today are high, especially when you source everything as carefully as they do. I feel their food is fairly priced and I'm happy to support such a fine establishment that has truly enhanced my summer.

Jim B.

Yelp
Overpriced for the area, it is great that they source local foods, but that doesn't justify the expense of the food they serve. Service was ok, they did not serve any beer that interested me at all. Definitely not catering to those who live on the North Fork year round. Bring plenty of money, we left hungry and had to get pizza.

Nicole J.

Yelp
Just finished another amazing meal at Minnow, this time for the Monday night Izakaya which was truly remarkable. Our house is down the road and we go quite often for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the food (bluefish pate, pasta con crudo, perfect preparations of super fresh raw fish, literally everything), service (shoutout to AJ, Dakota, the sweet bartender girl with the freckles), ambiance, all amazing. Chef Cheo is doing things here that other places just don't (can't) do. So creative and amazing but not pretentious at all. We met him once and he was super humble and kind. The owner is a gem and bakes this fresh crostata in the mornings which might be the best pastry I've ever had. I don't think she sleeps because she's always there! Just an aside, but one of the many times we have been there we had a less than perfect experience. My sister, who has been in the restaurant biz forever decided to email them to let them know. They couldn't have been more gracious and accommodating and truly went so far above and beyond to make it right that i actually felt bad! Now that is good business! The manager is a doll too, he took such good care of us. The food, service, atmosphere... This is truly the best spot on the north fork.

Katie R.

Yelp
Came here in the morning for breakfast and coffee. The waitstaff was rude, inattentive and not friendly. We got 2 coffees and 2 pieces of cake and it came to $36 somehow.. Place is self serve so nobody asks how you are doing or brings you your coffee or food when it's ready. We waited about 10 minutes just for someone to look in our direction and offer to help us at the coffee counter and at 1030Am They had 2 options left. Pretty ridiculous. The only good thing about this experience was the view. Will not be coming back for this absurdly priced "breakfast" food.

Sandra D.

Yelp
I had dinner at Minnow last night, with a group of people, and it was such an amazing experience that we can't wait to go back! The server we had was incredibly nice and attentive to detail. I have a dairy allergy, and when he brought out the buttered bread, and took one look at it, he whisked it away and returned with unbuttered bread! (Ridiculously delicious bread, btw). The food was insanely good! I had the grilled tuna, and honestly, it literally melted on the tongue. Everyone loved their meal, and the setting was so beautiful. We sat outside on the porch, overlooking the water. Exquisite! Can't wait to go back!

Danielle G.

Yelp
I cannot say enough good things about this hidden gem. By far the best food and service I've had this summer on the north fork. Cannot wait to go back! Such a great spot.

Linda A.

Yelp
Sometimes you may get an inexperienced server, but cut them some slack. They are just getting their sea legs! Food & ambiance exquisite! Line-caught, local & sustainable fish only. The views are breathtaking!

Victoria G.

Yelp
Creative and seasonal fresh menu on beautiful Peconic Bay! The service was attentive and friendly and they totally maxed out on charm and distinctive touches with the decor!!

Luke S.

Yelp
Beautiful place: upscale restaurant on the peconic bay. Great views, classy interior, very nice deck outside. The bar and service staff are friendly and attentive. Great frosty beers on tap. As in another review, food is a question. Prices are high- ok if you're satisfied. Raw clams are very good, as is the bluefish pate appetizer. Duck entree is also perfect, except it needs more sauce. As mentioned in another review, the almond crusted blackfish entree is mostly crust. Hardly think there is one ounce of fish in this. It was good- but needs a chunk of fish to justify the price. Not sure I'll be back.

Jerry C.

Yelp
While the setting is great and it's a fun place for drinks and appetizers, the food is disappointing. One member of our party ordered octopus and after 40 minutes the server returned to say that they were not serving octopus that night - even though the menus had only been printed minutes before. The lobster rolls ($40) had to be the worst I've ever had. Tiny bits of lobster drowned in mayo and heavily seasoned with onions. The server did the best she could, but she couldn't compensate for what was coming out of the kitchen.

Michelle G.

Yelp
loved the mellow vibe on the patio with the view of the water. food was great, we loved it.

Katie P.

Yelp
The atmosphere is fantastic, such a beautiful view even from the bar inside. Food absolutely delicious and the service was 10/10. Highly recommend and will definitely go back!

Anne A.

Yelp
I absolutely adore the minnow ! Everything I have had to eat is amazing. Lots of local sea fare and many veggie options too! The flavors are like nothing I have had elsewhere. Where you want to savor every single bite! The views across the bay are stunning and sitting on the deck on the gorgeous teak furniture is so idyllic. Whoever designed the place did a phenomenal job. I was told all the art prints were framed by a local framer and are all of fish that swim in north Fork waters. How cool! All the beers are local which is also super cool to see support for local breweries. I have been on a Wednesday for the regatta and on a Thursday when they had live music on the deck. The staff is all so friendly and the drinks are just gorgeous. They told me the strawberry's in the marg were from the local organic farm. There's just so many things I loved ! Kombucha on tap!!! Oh and they have a market in the back full of handmade goods, toiletries and beach needs and pantry food items plus lattes and pasties and breakfast foods ! Thank you minnow for being so fabulous ! My new fave spot

Oliver S.

Yelp
Last week I ate at the minnow and not only was I met with quality food, but also a timely wait staff. I'm glad to see what they've made with that location
