Minoh Park

Minoh park was such a lovely place even in the middle of winter. It was quiet with just the river, birds, and occasional footsteps of locals. The hike is easy, but if you want to take a more natural route, once you reach the first split, there is a cafe to the right along with a small village across the bridge, that path is gorgeous but ensure you wear appropriate footwear. Unfortunately some of the stores at the waterfall have burnt down, but hopefully they get rebuild or cleared out soon.

We taxi’d close to the falls itself and walked all the way back down to the Minoh Station. Along the way you see vendors selling traditional foods like fried maple leaves, there’s the Yamamoto coffee shop for a nice resting spot and some temples as well. It’s a very enjoyable walk.

Overrated. Don’t get me wrong, the forest is beautiful especially during autumn season, but there’s far too many people both at the falls and along the trail for this to be a truly relaxing activity in my opinion. The falls itself is not impressive relative to other hikes I’ve done. There are many other hikes that I’d rather do than this one. It’s suited for a family walk since the trail is easy. Otherwise you’ll find better views, the autumn colors, and a more peaceful experience on other hikes that has less people along the path.

This park was a beautiful calming walk- we visited Katsuoji temple, took a taxi to the fountain and walked from there to the station. It wasn’t a difficult walk at all with options for slope or steps. The autumn foliage was beautiful and the park allowed for amazing scenery with great lighting through the foliage. There are toilets dotted throughout the route with several cafes, stalls and restaurants also spread out along the route. Very peaceful day

pretty popular place for locals and tourists. hike was kind of steep but the had plenty of resting space for you to catch your breath and enjoy the views before you hike another slope. there are vendors that sells oden, taiyaki, drinks and dango. there are toilets along the hiking path. at the waterfall area they sell yuzu drinks and ice cream. i couldn't find the fried maples leaves at the waterfall area, is better that you buy it before you start hiking. also buy the roasted chestnuts before the hike, they do not sell those on the mountain areas.

Beautiful trip from Osaka. After a week in a big city, it's nice to relax in nature for a while. The advantage is that you can get there from the city in no time. I recommend exploring the area around the station as well.

minoo park is very beautiful during autumn 🍁🍁🍁 please come here early in the morning and try their fried momiji before its sold out! recommended to wear comfortable shoes for light hiking and please expect crowd in this area

Absolutely stunning park. We went when it was drizzling and there was hardly anyone around. It felt like we had the park to ourselves. The crisp air, the beautiful landscape and just a nice escape from the city. Definitely worth a visit!
