Mint

We stopped at Mint during a road trip. We took a chance on the buffet they had going on in the back on a Wednesday evening and loved everything about it! The fried chicken was finger-licking good, the salad bar satisfying, and there was even ice-cream for dessert.

Mint is great. I've only been on Thursdays the for the buffet. The food is always incredible it's a very relaxed atmosphere surrounded by great people.

The staff was exceptional. A hole-in-the-wall dinner, severing up the best of what North East IA has to offer. Using homegrown vegetables from the garden out back and meat from the locker across the street, The Mint is a diamond in the rough.

Very accommodating for an unexpected large group in the middle of the day, by opening up the back room. Pizzas were excellent, and they serve some of the largest burgers I've seen in the area.

Never much of a crowd and the staff aren't very good at servicing customers. Went there on several occasions wanting to try their pizza and they were always closed. When we finally made it a day they were open the bartender and regulars wer so loud I couldn't hear a word my bf was saying and he was right next to me. Pizza was OK... Not what everyone said it was but ok. I enjoyed the fact that we got a pizza, fries, 2 pops and a beer for less than $20. For tht alone wuld go back to feed the family on a night I dnt feel like cooking. Fries were good.

Very good. The young man was so personable and polite. Definitely made it a very good night to take relatives from Washington State out to eat.

this is the home of the famous Broasted Chicken on Wednesday nights people come from miles around to enjoy a nice family meal, If you are new, to the people of Protivin you sure won't be for long as they love to make new friends and meet new people. Such are the people of this little town.

Food is always really good, great people to talk too, prices are really well priced for what you get. Absolutley no disappointment

Excellent food, love the fish sandwich and onion rings! Homey ambience as well! Love the location and l miss the Thursday all you can eat buffet! The best chicken ever on the last Wednesday of the month too! Norma Klein
