Visiting Tokyo: 3-5 Day Suggested Itinerary for 2025

"I found Mipig Cafe Harajuku delightfully unusual — a pig café that's one of Tokyo's many quirky animal-themed spots." - Matthew Kepnes

Being surrounded by piglets is a kind of joy that’s impossible to fully describe until you experience it yourself. The moment you sit down, they waddle over without hesitation—tiny bodies, warm and solid, piling onto your lap and legs like living cushions. Before you know it, you’re completely “trapped,” but in the best possible way. Each piglet has its own personality. Some burrow in and fall asleep instantly, others climb over their siblings with surprising determination, and a few pause just long enough to sniff before settling down. Their weight is comforting, their warmth calming, and the soft sounds they make—gentle snorts and tiny breaths—create an oddly soothing atmosphere. Time seems to slow as they curl up together, turning you into part of their nap pile. What makes the experience special is how natural it feels. There’s no rush, no chaos—just a quiet, wholesome moment of connection. You don’t need to do anything except sit still and enjoy being chosen as the preferred resting spot. It’s oddly therapeutic, grounding, and genuinely joyful. You leave with a lighter heart, a big smile, and the unmistakable feeling that you’ve just experienced something simple, pure, and unforgettable. Being crushed by piglets is happiness in its softest form. 🐷💚

I loved this place! Such a fun and unique experience, you get to chill with the little micro pigs while enjoying a coffee. The café was super clean, and you can tell the piglets are well looked after and happy. It’s honestly one of those things you can’t really find anywhere else in the world. Definitely make sure to book ahead, as they work on time slots and it can get busy. If you’re wandering around Harajuku and want to take a break, this is the perfect spot to relax and do something a bit different. Highly recommend! 🐷☕

Came on a Sunday evening, it was really fun to pet the friendly pigs! They come to you on their own and lie on your laps with the blankets provided. They dont bite and they keep piling ontop of each other!🤣 new experience was unexpectedly fun :D

Google
Great experience. My cousin recommended this place to me when he visited this year so I had to come. Please not this location is like tucker in a corner so it's a short walk to find it. The worker who greeted us up front was so nice and patient. Then Julian inside was very insightful. The pigs were a hoot! Will be going again before we leave.

Google
ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. I did not think the pigs would be so friendly but they LOVE a cuddle. The pigs are shared out so no one goes without a friend and it is amazing how much they want to be on you! It is a slightly more expensive cafe but so worth it!!!

Google
This place is super cute. My husband and I booked a reservation for 55 minutes. I thought the pigs would be like dogs and interact and walk around. They walk around alittle, but they mostly pass out on your laps. It was still a sweet and unique experience. I honestly think the shorter time frame would have been sufficient for me, but it was still a fun experience as long as you factor in the following: 1. They are animals, so they wont smell like a field of daisies. Some of them are potty trained, but the younger ones (3 and 4 month olds) will simply pee on the floor and try to crawl into your lap 5 seconds later 🤣. We ended up leaving after 50 min instead of the full 55 because one pig was cutely persistent and wanted to crawl on my lap, but it was after stepping in its own urine. A blanket was provided for my lap, but I didn’t want to take a risk and get pig pee on my clothes on a HOT summer day. I wouldn’t have smelled very good for the rest of the evening. 2. Some of the pigs get feisty or will initiate little fights with one another. If you have dogs or pets, this prob won’t bother you— it’s just alarming when you hear it because they are oinks, squeals, and grunts. It’s not something you hear everyday. The staff was friendly and welcoming. They all speak English. The pigs are monitored by several ladies who help navigate the pigs around and they also “break up fights” or redirect the pigs when needed. At one point I had 4 piglets in my lap!! It was adorable. The older pigs scared me a little bit. Some of them tried to show dominance by scaring off the little ones, but I would use my arm to redirect the big ones from scaring off the little ones who were contently sleeping on my lap! Reservation def recommended. It was packed when we got there (follow the email directions and get there 10 min before reservation time to give yourself time to sign the terms and conditions/ store your belongings in a locked cabinet). and the line was already queuing when we got up to leave. I wasn’t offered any drinks during my stay, so I’m not sure where the “cafe” part comes into play. In the end, I was happy to see all the cute piggies. I don’t know if I would want to drink anything while petting the pigs anyway. It was a fun and memorable experience.

Google
I love the experience! The pigs are so cute but some get a little feisty with one another but all is good! I enjoyed it fully and the staff is friendly! Will come back again!

Google
It’s quite the overwhelming experience, especially when you get the early reservation (10am), because the piglets flock to you when you sit down. Some other reviews have mentioned this already, but they do give you a $200 yen discount when you leave them a review - hence why I suspected the high ratings on Google. I want to believe that the pigs are treated ethically and kindly, but after reading a lot of online reviews and pieces, I really doubt that that’s the case- especially since that there are a lot of them in a small space too 🥲 Overall, this was an experience of a lifetime, but I feel quite uncertain from an ethical standpoint. I would encourage you to do some more research before entering!

Yelp
I always wanted to cuddle with mini-pigs but there are no such cafes in NY, so I finally got my chance at Mipig Cafe Harajuku. My Japanese friend made reservations ahead of time (recommended), so we were all set for our 25 minute visit. (Visitors can choose 25 or 55 minute visit time). Friendly staff, well organized clean place with vending machine for snacks and drinks. The piglets were adorable, clean, and friendly. First I sat on the floor quietly and waited for the pigs to approach. A small spotted pig sat on my lap and then a few more joined her, so it was quite a party! Even though I am an adult I loved the experience, very heartwarming and fun.

Yelp
The place was kind of hard to find using Google maps. It took us around different alley ways. It's tucked away inbetween a lot of other shops and banner/stalls so keep your eyes peeled! The doorway itself is rather small, right as you're let in you are asked to remove your shoes and put them into your locker right on the right hand side which is by the narrow entry way. So if you have a bigger group (we had 5) if feels a bit anxiety inducing feeling rushed to get inside and everyone putting your items into lockers. The lockers are VERY small. Room for your shoes and MAYBE a fanny pack. I would be hesitant to bring any larger book bag with you. We booked a 30 minute interaction excluding their cafe/drinks area, and even then I thought it was too much time but they didn't have any shorter times. There are small pigs and larger pigs the size of a larger dog I wasn't expecting those larger ones! The pigs seemed very anxious as the staff constantly were picking up and "tossing" pigs onto our laps for visitors to get the most of their time a with the pigs. This made the pigs squeal a lot which made me uncomfortable seeing. The pigs were all chewing on something/drooling, but were otherwise not aggressive with visitors. My partner did get a big overstimulated by the staff stacking 6 pigs on him and wanted to move the pigs, and one did snap. Granted which is why staff tell you not to pick up pigs in the rules! Keep this in mind if you do get overstimulated. Some other staff did let us feed the pigs their designated meal times which was fun to participate in. I think overall it was an okay experience. I've been wanting to go to this cafe for years, it just wasn't exactly how I expected it to be.

Yelp
Located in the Aeon Mall is this piggy cafe where you can order drinks and spend time with little piggy's. There were lots of customers looking in from outside, but I didn't see anyone one inside sitting with the piggy's.

Yelp
Stopped by Mipig while walking in Harujuku in a spur of the moment decision. It was early around opening time so they had spaces available. It's about $15 for 25 min which was enough time for me to spend with the mini pigs. Generally people just sit for a while and the pigs will come to you. I ended up having 6 pigs on me which can be a big uncomfortable but they provide you with a blanket to lay over you which I definitely recommend as the pigs do tend to foam at the mouth so you might get some slobber on you. The pigs don't really play but more just nap or cuddle on you. It's definitely a cute experience, especially for kids. They let you know when you're time is about up and you can extend if you want to stay for longer. There's also a bathroom to wash your hands after which is great.

Yelp
Super cute place! The mini pigs all looked really healthy and happy. You can tell they're well cared for and loved. Totally worth visiting!

Yelp
Fun place to relax and beat the heat in the heart of Harjuku district. The animals were adorable and we all felt better after being here.

Yelp
Took my toddler to the pig cafe, recommended by a friend. It was definitely worth it! The micro pigs are so cute and friendly. My daughter had a great time with them as well. The sitting area is clean and inviting. You get unlimited drinks which was nice, but not many people actually got drinks. The staff ensures there's a few pigs near you during your session. They are very cuddly as they're all babies. Would definitely recommend to tourists and families!

Yelp
Great place to see mini pigs. Soo cute. Glad we came here they have a drink machine. Staff are friendly

Yelp
I LOVED IT. Location is hidden in harajuku. We set a slot for the first time of the day. We spent almost an hour inside and boy it went by fast. The pigs are so adorable and love to rest on you. There's a couple of aggressive pigs that will grab your pillow but you can't get upset cause they are so cute. The pigs get comfortable they will fall asleep on you in stacks too. There is complimentary drinks from a vending machine ranging from tea to coffee! You can opt for donuts as well. We didn't try it because we knew we would be too busy with the pigs. I recommend coming here! If you write a review you will get a discount!

Yelp
One time experience and make reservations ahead of time You must have reservations - we learned from our mistake at MiPig Café in Tokyo when we showed up to see a sold out sign so we made reservations for MiPig in Kyoto. We arrived at 4:40pm for our 5pm reservations. We read the rules, paid ¥2200 or $15 per person for half an hour and were directed upstairs to Room 1 (we never saw another room but there may have been one past Room 1). We entered a gated area, sat on the floor and they gave us small blankets to put on our laps. There was already 1 family of 3 with the micro pigs who were mainly sitting on the mom. No idea how others got photos of what looks like they're cuddling the micropigs as you are not allowed to pick them up and cannot request a specific or smaller pig. The 3-5 staff members gently poked the micro pigs to get them to move and then to settle down in our laps. The micro pigs do not really play but lied down on our laps and we pet them. There were 8 minipigs of varying sizes 5kg - 10kg and colors (pink, black and spotted). The room is quite warm because the micro pigs do not have much coarse hair to keep them warm. Many of the pigs were foaming at the mouth which is normal if they are excited or. hungry. At 5pm, the first family of 3 left and 4 groups of a total of 8 joined (2 couples, family of 3 and a single) - it felt overbooked so we were glad that we had arrived early and had those 10 minutes by ourselves. We took photos and videos (flashes are not allowed but also not needed). It was a unique experience and the pigs were cute but not one we need to repeat.

Yelp
We had so much fun here!! The mini pigs are absolutely adorable. They also seems happy, clean, well fed and well cared for. What I loved about this place is at the pigs did not act food motivated at all. Meaning that we did not feed the pigs, that is not allowed, and therefore when the pigs interact with you, it is because they want to, not because they want food. I love that!! The pigs really seem to just like cuddling humans and crawling all over us! Unlike other types of animal cages (cough, cough, capys). Make a reservation and visit here, you won't regret it! Especially if you have kids!

Yelp
So much fun! This was one of the funnest things I did in Tokyo. I was a little reticent at first as I wasn't sure how well the animals were treated but the pigs here are clearly very well treated, very well fed and quite happy. It was so much fun to sit down on the floor and have the piggies just crawl all over you and love on you. I can't recommend it highly enough - worth every penny for the super fun experience!

Yelp
Wow I was not expecting to love this experience so much, but they were SO CUTEEE!! Ignoring the whole animal cruelty aspect of a pig cafe, there were so many pigs and they were all very human friendly so they'd snuggle and stack on top of you. It was about $25 for a 55 minute session, plus a free small vending machine drink. The employees were all sweet and professional with the animals. It can definitely get busy so make sure you have a reservation and come on time.

Yelp
Adorable place and very attentive staff. If you don't have a piggy they'll bring one to you. If the piggy looks or feels stressed they will take them out. We came strictly to hold the babies. We didn't partake in the cafe but they did have complimentary beverages

Yelp
The mini pigs were too adorable! Must try at least once on your trip! They came and slept on my lap!

Yelp
Add Mipig Cafe to your list of must-visit animal cafes in Tokyo. I wasn't sure what to expect here - pigs aren't as cool or exotic as snakes or owls, but my family had a great time here. Like other animal cafes, at check in, you swap your shoes for slippers and store them in a locker with your belongings. After entering the main area, you can get your complimentary drink from the vending machine (which included a very tasty lemon soda). With standard admission, you settle down in the main area with other folks and lots and lots of little pigs running about. Or you can reserve a private room (which we opted for) that is a separate seating area. Instead of the free roaming pigs, we had two piglets (four months old) to cuddle and hold. They were happy to nap on my daughter's lap for most/all of the time - which she LOVED! Staff will remind you when your time is up. Note - Be on time for your reservation. If your reservation is for 12:00 and you show up at 12:15, they will only honor the remaining portion of your reserved time or you have to make a new reservation - assuming there is another opening.

Yelp
Unfortunately, our experience at this spot is far, far removed from my fellow Yelpers' experiences. We came just at opening and I wouldn't exactly say we were greeted with much warmth or friendliness by the front desk. We had to read and sign the agreements, take off our shoes and put our stuff in slots, which is all fine, but it felt like we were dealt with in a gruff manner. Once we were seated, The Huz asked for the unlimited drinks that's meant to be part of the experience. There was a vending machine that the server went to, she pushed some buttons and then told him, "No, it doesn't work." We were confused at first thinking that meant they were going to get the drinks from the back kitchen or something, but no, no follow-up. No one asked us if we wanted any doughnuts either. We decided to ask again and the answer was, "No, the machine doesn't work." The Huz then decided to get the server's attention (because she wasn't coming to us) and ask for the doughnuts on the menu. When she comes back with the doughnuts she says, "You have to eat this here. You can't take it with you." Um...ok...that's a weird thing to say since we had no intention of taking them. And to be perfectly honest, the doughnuts were horrible. Hard and flavorless. I regretted getting them. I also asked for some water since we didn't have ANY drinks and she responds, "No, sorry". Umm...wow....calling this place a "cafe" is a huge, huge stretch. They also, completely unprompted, told us that we were late for our session but they were willing to extend the time for us. I was a bit upset at this time so I responded, "No, we were not late. We were completely on time."--which of course is the absolute truth since we came even before they were opened and waited outside til they called us in. It seems they started the "timer" when she was giving us the rules and we were putting our stuff away? How does that compute? To make matters worse, on our way out, we were putting our shoes back on and the front desk person was like, "No, no shoes here." So...we're supposed to go barefoot and put our shoes on outside? Especially since the front area was so tight from people waiting? I just hurriedly put on my shoes and got out of there as quickly as I could. The Huz asked if there would be some sort of discount to the cover charge since there were no unlimited drinks and the answer was just a firm "no". Needless to say, I couldn't help but feel scammed. The pigs are cute. And they go on your lap and it's all sweet and good. But overall, the service and offerings are overrated. There are other locations since this is a franchise so I can't speak to those specific ones. I would specifically NOT recommend this location.

Yelp
This was definitely a very interesting experience. I went during the night time so the pigs seemed very hungry. They bit off the dress of the woman I met, bit another person, and then bit me on the arm. I came in because I love pigs. Not sure if I would come again.

Yelp
....... This is a core memory. Being here, surrounded by baby pigs, playing or napping away...... This is total bliss. Also, I can't eat pork anymore. Needless to say, Mipig Cafe left a lifelong impression on me T-T (take me back pls!!) This was a HIGH PRIORITY for me while in Tokyo... 100% worth the time. RESERVATION-ONLY! I was able to book online a day in advance (weekday), but I imagine there are busier seasons where you have to wait a week or more. At entry, the staff explain pig etiquette and provide locker keys for personal items, as well as a small blanket for pigs (to sit on you). To my surprise, almost half the employees here were white (some American)! So it was easy to communicate. Visitors were from all over the world, we heard many languages in the cafe. We waited in the lobby until our scheduled time, then were promptly ushered into the P I G R O O M (!!!!!) There are pigs EVERYWHERE. The big ones were more boisterous and food-motivated, while the tiny ones slept or meandered about. SO CUDDLY... And cared for. The pigs seemed sweet and well-socialized. The staff were also mindful of customers who were further away from the pigs-- sometimes randomly plopping pigs on your lap (who would then snuggle up to you instantly...) or asking if you wanted to feed them. Otherwise, the pigs were free to roam to whomever caught their fancy. The pigs are potty trained to only go in their pet pad, but sometimes had accidents that the staff promptly cleaned up. That being said, there is a notable "animal" smell in the cafe. I didn't order any food, but I imagine it might not be very appetizing. There's a hand wash station after leaving the cafe. It was good to know that the pigs are being trained to become future pet pigs... Hoping to adopt one myself in the future (yes, even if they get up to 300-400 lbs)!

Yelp
Ok, so if you want an animal cafe experience where the animals ADORE you and can't wait to shower you with temporary affection, Mipig cafe fits the bill perfectly! Do make a reservation online in advance of when you come. Given its location in Shibuya and near Harajuku, spots do fill up. They won't allow you to even enter until 10 min before your reservation. At this point, they will give you a waiver to acknowledge for the health of the piggies and ask you to trade your shoes for their dedicated slippers. Once you enter, you can help yourself to some drinks but come on, you paid to play with piglets so maximize this time!! Lay the blanket over your lap and just wait for these cuties to come snuggle. I had a 7 month old and a SUPER CUTE 5 month old black piglet ATTACHED to me for my 30 min and I just about melted! The staff will also ensure that everyone gets piglet time which I appreciated. ¥1760 for the experience.

Yelp
I love pigs and at one point considered getting a pig as a pet. Eventually, I realized this was not feasible because at some point, these cute little pigs will eventually grow up to 250-350 lbs. Back home, there is a pig farm near me that we visit every now and then. Occasionally, the pigs on the farm would birth baby pigs, but we were not allowed to pick them up or play with them. I was very excited to learn about Mipig Café and that you can pay admission to play with the little pigs at their cafe. My husband and I made a reservation for a private room for 90 minutes at the café. You can get a private room plan from 30 minutes up to 180 minutes. Or you can also play with them in the public play area. Anyone who enters the facility to play with the pigs (whether you choose to get a private room plan or play in the public play area) must pay the entrance fee. The private room plan is additional to the entrance fee. Don't worry, though. The entrance fee and the private room plan fees are all extremely affordable and reasonably priced. I highly recommend making a reservation, though, because when we were at MiPig Café, they were at full capacity and were not taking walk-ins. You don't want to have come all this way and not get to play with the pigs! We arrived on time and were instructed to place our belongings in a locker. A staff member then showed us to our private room where there were already 2 little pigs in it. The private room is not actually a private room. Instead, it's an enclosed pen with tall enough barriers so that the pigs cannot jump out. Standing outside the enclosed pen was another staff member. He helped us get settled and explained to us that our private room plan includes drinks for each person and directed us to the drinks station across from us. He also taught us how to hold and care for the little pigs. The two little pigs in our private room reminded us of our small dog at home. Every 30 minutes, a staff member would come by and ask if we would like to switch them out for a different pair of pigs. We were okay with sticking with these two brothers who did not want to separate from each other. We spent the entire 90 minutes petting them and watching them sleep next to each other. The 90 minutes flew by. Even though we didn't do much with the little pigs, we had a good time and almost wished we made our reservation longer. During our short time at MiPig café, we could tell the staff members really love the pigs. The pigs were very well cared for. The space was also kept very clean. We had to take off our shoes and wear their slippers to enter the play area. We were also required to use hand sanitizer before playing with the pigs.

Yelp
Been to several types of animal cafes in Japan, S. Korea and the States. This is def a pretty cute and decent one. We arrived and signed a waiver. Were brought inside to put on slippers and place our items in a locker. Basically everyone is in this "jungle" themed room with mini tables and soft log cushions---theres were a couple of private rooms, but I don't see how the pigs could get in without a lot of prodding. We were led to a table at the end of the room and in the beginning it was tough to get the pigs over because they were either in someone elses lap or in a different area. Since we can't pick them up, we had to just wait--thankfully, the staff noticed and steered a couple over. Next thing you know, we had a bunch. Theres big and small pigs~some get aggressive with other pigs. They seem to like the blankets that are provided and tend to rest in between peoples legs. Super cute. Drinks are complimentary~but pretty much just fountain drinks and water. We opted out. There are two bathrooms so you can clean up before you leave. The only thing that was weird is that...they don't seem to have trash cans. We had two small cups of drinks that we wanted to toss and they told us to keep them and toss them elsewhere.....there were no trashcans to be found on the streets either so super odd...other than that, everything else was great.

Yelp
While a pig cafe might not have been on my bucket list before finding this Harajuku spot, I was certainly happy to have had this bizarre, hysterical, but overall charming experience. The pigs were sweet (if not a bit boisterous) and the staff was kind and accommodating. A must for any animal-lover looking for an only-in-Japan experience.

Panhia Y.

Yelp
We arrived at our reserved time and had booked a private room. Unfortunately, we were greatly disappointed that there was only a max of 2 pigs in each of the rooms- even though it accommodates 4 people. Save your money and don't book a private room. We felt cheated 100%! Wished this was published on their site so we were aware before we booked for 5 people. When we arrived, they said we could either split up and get charged for 2 rooms or go into one room together with no additional pigs. We felt this was ridiculous given that they would still charge us the same amount for each person but give us even more limited interactions. So with that, we ended up just having 4 of us participate instead- since we had already been looking forward to the experience with our 3 kids. These private rooms were supposed to be more intimate but with only 2 pigs shared amongst 4 people doesn't give everyone enough time to play with them at all!! Stick to just their standard rooms. My husband and I did this in Osaka and you pretty much get all the pigs, which was a wonderful and memorable experience. Literally, 4-5-6, sometimes more of the pigs would come to play with you at the same time making it such a fun time! Plus, you don't have to pay the extra cost they charge for the "private room." Otherwise, limit yourself to 2 people max in these rooms so everyone has at least one pig per person. Also, the staffs weren't the friendliest, especially comparing them to the Osaka office. Food- coffee and donuts were never offered. Really, not what we would think of when referring to a "cafe." Lastly, they only give you 25 minutes, NOT 30 minutes like what was advertised on their site. Would we do this again? Probably not, or if so, we would go to a different location.

Yelp
This was by far my favorite animal café I got to visit during our Tokyo trip! We visited Mipig in Harajuku, they have other locations too so check online and be sure to make a reservation a head of time! We decided to do 1 hour for about 2,800 yen per person. Absolutely worth it! The piggies were sooooo cute and extremely friendly. The moment we sat down, they all came right for us to sit out or laps and snuggle.

Anne M.

Yelp
We had a blast at the MiPig Shibuya. For those on long holiday to Japan, missing their pets back home, this is a fun activity. Most people don't get to visit with pigs very often and it is so fun. They love to cuddle on laps. It is hilarious when a bunch decide they want to be on the same lap! The business was very clean and well run.

Yelp
The boost of serotonin I needed. Mipig Cafe was a must-visit for me when I found out about this adorable micropig cafe!! They are truly so cute and such smart animals. The cafe itself is very clean. After checking in, you put your belongings away in a locker, change into slippers, and wash your hands. There are both small baby piggies as well as some larger ones. Even a pig that was 2 years old that was mostly sleeping on a furry bed! The staff were very friendly and constantly keeping an eye on everything to make sure the pigs weren't fighting each other (which they sometimes did lol). They would also bring the micropigs over to you if they weren't already coming onto your lap themselves. At one point, one of the staff showed us some tricks that the pigs can do! The entry fee includes a drink that you can help yourself to at a machine in the corner of the room. I was honestly too busy playing with the pigs to grab a drink (oops!). Don't forget that you NEED A RESERVATION to visit Mipig Cafe! You can easily book a reservation online and you pay before you leave. Highly recommend a visit if you love animals. This was definitely my favorite animal cafe experience in Japan.

Yelp
I had never been interested in animal cafes until now! These micro pigs are adorable and so fun to watch. They are full of personality and tenacity. They love to dig and play by digging so be careful as a few more aggressive piglets like to dig into your back. The staff here are wonderful. You get to learn a little about the pigs and how they are adopted. We came at 5pm and were able to feed the pigs. The cafe is very clean. All guests wash their hands before and after the experience and wear sanitized slippers into the play area. Reservations were required during our visit. Visitors without a reservation were not allowed inside. To make a reservation, go to the website and select a time slot. Pre-payment was not required.

Yelp
This place is so fun! The pigs are so cute and silly and I loved petting them! They're pretty stinky and scratchy, but still a great experience. You have get little drinks and sodas from a vending machine in the back. The workers are really enthusiastic and helpful. They assured that every person was able to hold and pet a pig. It's an absolute must if you're in the area!!!

Yelp
My wife and I were on a vacation and my wife really likes animals, so on that trip we'd already been to dog, cat and hedgehog cafes. We went to Mipig Cafe, and I personally was feeling weird about going because I really like eating pork products. You pay passed on time, we reserved some time ahead of time and were in a big room where pigs of different shapes, sizes and ages roam around. There are staff who help guide the smaller pigs onto your laps and they show you how to pet them. My wife had a fun time petting the pigs, at one point 4 or 5 piglets climbed up onto her lap. All the pigs we interacted with seemed friendly. I was still a little weirded out since I really enjoy eating pork. After that visit, I stopped.. for a couple days.

Yelp
Regular reservations were full, so we had to book a private room (at a higher cost). We were supposed to get 25 minutes in a private room with 2 piglets. Although we were there on time (before 5pm in anticipation of our 5pm appointment), we were not admitted until 5:08pm. We were told that our time was up at 5:23pm. We reminded them that we were admitted late, but they claimed the room was reserved by another group. This was a lie, because while we waited to check out (another 15 minutes), the room continued to sit vacant. They were just being jerks. Additionally, the pigs we were given were ugly and big. We asked (nicely) if we could get at least one little one of the many that were roaming around in the main room, and we were told they were assigned at random and we were not entitled to make any requests. Staff is rude. Would not recommend, would not return. Total ripoff.

Yelp
Love love love this place! A reservation is definitely needed, but once your in--it is totally worth it. Make sure you arrive on time, and give yourself time to find the place. It's a bit hidden. If you are late, that is time missed from your session. We chose the group option, which I believe was best because you can get all the piggies around you. If your opt for the private session, you only get two I believe. Definitely an experience we'll remember forever. So fun too!

Yelp
The service was kind and they explained to us the process and how to handle the pigs. Our stay included an hour with the pigs with unlimited drinks. The staff makes sure that about is always interacting with customers during their stay. It was a cute place for Instagram photos but it made me feel bad for the pigs since they seemed perpetually stressed.

Yelp
So. If you love pigs. Go here. It's a great time. My friend is a fan of pigs, so after going to an owl cafe we came down to a pig cafe! It was slightly hard to find, but it's in a very cute tree like looking shop. We checked in inside then waited for our appointment in the line outside. Once called in, we were asked to remove shoes and put on slippers, and place all our belongings in lockers. We were also given a blanket. When we entered the pig area, the workers put down some cushions instructing us where to sit, and also to put the blankets on our laps. Within seconds pigs bolted for our laps and we're happily laying there. The shop workers don't let you pick up the pigs so if they need to be moved you need to alert them. For over 30 min 6 pigs decided they were not going to leave my lap, so that was a time. Overall a nice experience, for me 30 min would be enough 60 was overkill. The pigs are very well litter trained but they do fight each other, so beware, especially if they start fighting while on your lap. All the shopkeepers were very friendly. The "drink" included with the reservation was just soda

Yelp
Really enjoyed petting the Pigs and how much of them I could hold on to. The staff were very friendly as well as accommodating. Would definitely return!

Yelp
I came to this micro pig cafe on the weekend during the last session. I used their website to make an appointment for my visit. I'm glad the website was easy to navigate for foreigners. Although I got there 8 min late, I was able to get in. I'm glad the staff took good care of the animals. The piggies were very sociable and approachable. The staff put an effort to ensure everyone have a good time as well. There were times the piggies wandered off, the staff would bring them back to the tables. Drinks were part of the entrance fee and refillable from the beverage dispenser. The interior was in a forest theme. Most importantly, it was very clean without any bad scent. I was very pleased with the experience. I'd recommend this micro pig cafe to anybody!

Yelp
If you are looking for something is very unique, then look no further than Mipig cafe. I know Japan is unique having pet cafes all around, but MiPig is one experience that I totally recommend (over the others - we have cats, so cat cafe, as cute as it would be, would not give us that novelty experience). The micropigs are super cute. They are lighter than they look, but careful, they also get super envious of each other. Once one comes to cuddle, another will come, then another, then another, then everyone, and suddenly you are a pillar of comfort for all the cuteness surrounding you. They all have names and respond well to the caregivers! I do want to give a shoutout to the caregivers as they do a great work to ensure all the customers have a chance to experience the micropigs cuddliness. They do have free drinks (part of the entry package), and snacks can be ordered as extra I recommend wearing comfortable stretchy pants because you will be seated at the floor. There are private rooms available for an added cost. We stayed for 30 minutes (I felt it was plenty, but wife felt we could stay longer). You must make a reservation, the spots get filled up quick (the time we went, they did not allow any walk-ins - lots of disappointed faces). Camera wise, I found it difficult to use the SLR as the pigs are never still and they headbutt alot of times to get your attention. The phone camera was quick and easy (and can take selfies as well!). Overall Kel rating: /5 The good: The experience, their prickly fur that's addictive to keep petting The decent: Make reservations in advance The ugly: They won't let you take one home.

Yelp
Mipig is a cute concept and the pigs are well trained to climb into your lap once you have a blanket on. However the bigger pigs are quite aggressive to the little micro ones, so keep that in mind if you have little kids with you.

Yelp
I highly recommend you book the private room! You get a pig per person. You can only pick up the pigs if you book a private room because the workers teach you how to pick them up and hold them properly. Please DO NOT pick them up if you did not book private room. Kids did that and the pigs were scared and cried. Anyways, such an amazing experience! The piggies are all so loved and well taken care of! The place was super clean! There's lockers for your stuff so you don't need to worry while spending time with the pigs. This was One of the most amazing experiences I've ever had! It was worth the time and money! Honestly the price wasn't bad at all. The place is in Harajuku off Takeshita street. Definitely give a visit! Story: while we were in our private room with the piglets a bigger pig broke in and the worker had to chase it haha so funny and cute

Yelp
This cafe is UNBELIEVABLY CUTE! I just finished my second experience here and they had some of the piglets wearing dresses! A micro pig in a dress! I just about almost passed out from cuteness! Reservations are definitely a must. They do take walk ups occasionally but just to be safe I recommend the reservation. You can choose from 30 minutes or 60 minutes. If you have the time, definitely pick the 60 minute one. 30 minutes goes by WAY too quickly. You have the option of grabbing coffee, tea, juice etc. You should definitely grab a drink BEFORE sitting down because as soon as you sit you'll have the piggies sitting on you the rest of the time preventing you from getting up! The staff are all so sweet and they help bring the pigs closer to you if needed. A truly wonderful and different experience. Go check them out!

Yelp
Just what we expected. Cute little piggies sitting in your lap and nodding off. Great therapy. Easy and reasonable. The staff make sure everyone gets some piggy attention.

Yelp
Do not go here! I never leave reviews, but this horrible experience warranted one I'm afraid. Within minutes of sitting down, one of the minipigs chewed a big hole in the hem of my skirt, and another bit my daughter! When we left early (after ten minutes) and told the employee what had happened, he still insisted I pay.

Yelp
Holy cow...or HOLY PIG if you will, this place is a DREAM. I was looking over yelp while my friends and I were walking around, and came across this spot. After walking around Harajuku for a few hours, my friends ended up going back to the hotel after lunch, but I had already made up my mind to go pet some mini pigs. I went on the website, and found that the earliest booking was for a private room three hours later! I ended up booking it just so I had a spot, and after walking around a few more hours, I arrived right on the dot for my 5 PM reservation. They do ask you to come 10 minutes before, and I would also recommend this as you lose some time with checking in and packing your items into the provided cubbies. When you enter, they have you take your shoes off, store your belongings, and wash your hands. Then you are shown the beverage station, which is an automated fountain drink dispenser. I know other Yelpers weren't that impressed, but honestly, I was totally fine with it. I had some water, then a glass of "orange juice" and ginger ale. My "private room" ended up being a pen on the side of the larger, common room, where literally 30+ piggies were inhabiting. Some were small, like puppy sized; the other more mature ones were probably like large corgies. I was shown to my room and a staff member also instructed me on how I could pick up the pigs, which is what set my private room experience apart. Honestly, I didn't care too much for picking up the pigs and it seemed neither did they. No matter, once the blanket was on my lap, they basically just curled up there and I sat with them like that for the next twenty minutes. UM. HEAVEN!!!! They are so cuddly and sweet. The two did get a little mad at each other - I want to say they were fighting for space, but they were well behaved and one even hopped off of me, went to the potty pan in the corner to pee, and then came back. I was dumbfounded, but obviously these animals are trained and have had lots of human interaction and instruction time, to all of our benefit. They do squeal a lot, and do some weird chomping thing (to the point where there was saliva foam I had to wipe away), but what a super cool experience. Another staffer came to inform me when I had 5 minutes left, then asked if I wanted more time. I declined to be able to get back for dinner, but I might have stayed longer if I didn't need to. I just wanted to hang out with the babies. Even though the experience is 30 minutes, because I didn't arrive BEFORE my appointment, and because they start getting you out a few minutes early, I think this was actually just a little over 20 minutes of cuddle time. At about $19 USD for that though, I honestly would do it again.

Yelp
I had seen a TikTok of someone going here a week before my trip and I had to immediately reserve a time slot to come here! I booked a private room for 4 people at 10:30am on a Sunday for 30min and it was about $12-$15 a person (depending on the dollar to yen exchange rate). Good thing too because this place booked up quickly! So yes, make reservations!!! When it was our turn to enter, we just had to fill out a simple form for the group, changed into house slippers to go inside and put our things in lockers, then headed to our little room. We had 2 little mini pigs in there who appeared to be siblings and they crawled right into our laps as soon as we were given blankets to put on our legs. Included in the reservations are a drink machine that services juice or coffee. We had a really good experience here and we'd definitely come back! Reservation link: https://mipig.cafe/en/booking

Yelp
Among other things, Tokyo is known for its medley of themed cafes. I've seen many - cats, owls, rabbits, hedgehogs, maids, ninjas, and now micro pigs at mipig cafe. You reserve your time with the pigs in 30 minute intervals via mipig's reservation system online. When everyone arrives, you're ushered onto your floor where eager pigs are running around awaiting your group's arrival. It's a very clean, well manicured environment. Generally everyone sits on the floor or the small low-rise furniture. Someone from the cafe will be present at all times to stimulate some movement from the pigs if they end up all gravitating towards 1 person, in an effort to keep things equitable among all. When I was there, there were ~8 pigs present to interact with everyone. They all happened to love my wife and would rest their heads on her lap, would squeeze behind her back and the seat cushion, etc. The pigs are all generally very friendly and seem to desire human interaction.

Yelp
A quirky and loveable experience as endearing as the little personalities running around inside. Good clean fun for the family!

Yelp
Unforgettable experience! Great customer service, very helpful workers and the pigs are very well behaved.
