Awful and sexist. The staff were reluctant to serve us. We were staying in the horel and went to the restaurant for a drink on our first night and noticed the night were a bit rude. We then went there on our last night for one drink and they were reluctant to serve us and then over charged us for our drinks. When we questioned them they mentioned we had cocktails the other evening.....we explained we only had two vodka and cokes and they laughed and said no so charged us for two cocktails. Seemed they were unhappy to serve two women but treated male customers with polite manners. Very disappointed

The food, atmosphere, and some of the service was good. However, during the reservation process there was no option to request a particular table. We were the first diners to arrive and asked the hostess if we could sit at the table closest to the canal. He refused, stating that the table was reserved for someone else. Fast forward, we dined from approximately 7:10 to 8:40p and no one sat at that table the entire time. That was very disappointing to sit through

Delicious and inventive sushi with a great view of the Grand Canal. We ordered the 2 person tasting menu and we didn’t get our liquor or caffé to close out the meal. Service was very slow, and ambiance was a negative. There was very close seating outside and lots of smokers nearby. The mosquitos were also out and I felt bitten the whole time sitting outside. Inside, the restaurant is very small and the vibe is stuffy and quiet. I’d recommend this restaurant if you’re sick of pasta, but not as a destination if you has limited time in Venice.

Food was unbelievable and the atmosphere (sitting right on the canal) was brilliant. Definitely recommend

They didnt have tomago or quail egg. My 10 piece nigiri came with some typical nigiri, was expecting some more exotic choices than shrimp, tuna, salmon, white fish and seabass... fish quality was good, but could have more variety. The wine was very good and decent price for quality considering the market in venice.

Can have relatively high quality Japanese fusion menu, beyond expectation! The space is like a hotel lounge, unlike a dinner place. Staffs were very casual, not too friendly in good way.

I’ve been living in Asia for more than 7 years and been to Japan at least once a month. This restaurant has really nothing to do with Japanese Sushi. Sushi rolls were terrible as the rice was too sticky, salmon and tuna tartare taste like an average Italian all you can eat but here you pay 3 times more…the tempura we ordered was cooked in the wrong way and the sauce where you should dip it in wasn’t at all what it’s supposed to be. We ordered the “menú degustazione” which includes also Japanese sake at the end of dinner…well we were waiting for it and at some point the waiter came and asked if we wanted it since we didn’t order any wine…we were like - seriously?!? - and even more, it was not sake but a sort of white wine in which they added water… Definitely won’t come back here again especially cause it is not Japanese food at all

Hotel staff said it was closed (it was not). Food is really good qualityand very fresh, especially the Tuna was really nice. Service was a bit slow at times even though there were only 2 tables seated. Also not sure if it is normal in Venice but sitting outside on the terrace (at the canal) costs 9 euros extra by itself which seems a bit weird for me.

Being from California, I've found it surprisingly hard to find decent sushi in Europe. This restaurant isn't the best but it was good given that there are such few Japanese option in Venice. It's tucked away inside of a hotel but it had outdoor seating that would offer nice views of the Grand Canal. It was a rainy day so we were not able to sit outside. They are open earlier in the day only for drinks and serve food from 7-11pm. We had the 18 piece mixed sushi, spicy salmon roll, tuna 6 piece sashimi, 2 miso soups and a bottle of water. Grand total came out to 58€. They gave us a complimentary appetizer of cooked & fried tuna chunks with what tasted like a rice vinaigrette on shredded lettuce. Nice little starter... The salmon is a safe choice, good cuts and tasted fairly fresh. The tuna was decent but not as fresh as the salmon. Miso soup was great, the seaweed was perfectly silky in it. The sushi is a little overpriced but the ambience of the restaurant is upscale & there's not much competition in the area, so I totally understand. Also, I'm not sure how much they have to import versus what they have available from their local fish markets. Overall, a nice change of pace after being overloaded with pasta & pizza!

This place is a great break away from pizza and pasta. The wait staff is awesome and you have a great view of the canal. If you want something different regular Italian this is the place to go.
