Miramar Hotel by Windsor

My recent stay at the Miramar Hotel by Windsor in Rio de Janeiro was absolutely outstanding! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and excellent service. The location is perfect, right across from Copacabana Beach, offering stunning ocean views and easy beach access. A special shout-out to Thiago and Joan Victor at the front desk, who truly made my experience unforgettable. They were incredibly helpful, professional, and friendly, always going the extra mile to ensure I had everything I needed. Whether it was recommending local attractions, arranging transportation, or answering any questions, their attention to detail and genuine care stood out. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained, with elegant decor and spacious, comfortable rooms. The rooftop pool is a highlight, offering breathtaking views of the beach and city skyline.

Everything about our stay at this hotel was incredible. First of all: the staff!!!! So lovely! Always greeted with a smile and with care! The beach service was such a big plus for us, as it was our first time in Rio. The pizza available for room service and by the pool was also very good! Everything was great. Already dreaming of our next visit 🙏🏼

My daughter and I loved our stay at this hotel. Extremely well located and the staff were incredibly friendly. Rooms are spacious and quiet. Roof top pool lovely. The umbrella & chair set up on the beach easy - also loved the cold water. ALL the staff from the doormen to the reception to housekeeping and bars were FABULOUS. HIGHLY recommend staying here - very safe!!

I stayed here for two nights, on Dec 31, 2024, and Jan 1, 2025, to celebrate the countdown holiday. My room type was the Deluxe Double Room with Ocean View. Although this hotel isn’t very large, the rooms were extremely comfortable, and the windows offered a breathtaking view of the world-famous Copacabana Beach! The view of the panorama of ocean from the rooftop swimming pool is absolutely amazing! Most importantly, all the staff were incredibly friendly. If I remember correctly, Mr. Vincent at the front desk was outstanding and provided exceptional assistance. If I ever have the chance to visit Rio again, I will definitely choose this hotel!

Beautiful views, wonderful service. We were greeted with champagne after a long day of travel. We also realized we forgot converters, after calling down, they brought one up within minutes, which was fantastic. Rooms are pretty quiet considering the busy street/beach below. There’s complimentary water and chocolates provided daily. We didn’t use the rooftop pool or gym service. Would totally stay here again!

Multiple types of bugs in my room, one being ants and another being whatever is in the photo I provided. I would avoid this hotel. The service was pretty good but for the price it is not worth it. I would not consider this a 4.5 star hotel and want to share my experience so others do not expect a top of the line stay. After mentioning I had bugs they did not seem concerned, sent up a cleaning staff member who just swept the floors and changed sheets. Following that the bugs were still there so I had to go down to the lobby a second time and request a new room explicitly. I only stayed at the hotel for a few nights and this took up 2-3 hours during on of the days I was there so I had to cancel my dinner plans with friends.

My parents booked this hotel, and from the moment we arrived—at 2:30 in the morning, no less—the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. There was someone waiting outside to open the car doors, take our luggage up to the room, and even offer us a welcome drink. My family drinks alcohol, but I don’t, and they noticed that right away, asking if I’d like juice or something else instead. That kind of thoughtfulness really stood out to me. They even split the bed to match our needs, which I didn’t expect, and the service throughout our stay was incredibly fast. During breakfast, the staff would ask if we wanted coffee, and if it wasn’t to our liking, they’d happily bring something else. They even pulled out our chairs and made sure we were comfortable. The breakfast itself was fantastic—every morning, I couldn’t wait to eat. The pool service was just as impressive. We didn’t have a safe place to keep our valuables, so they held onto them for us. Another time, we brought some takeaway food, and one of the staff went out of his way to take care of the trash for us and even offered us drinks. He didn’t have to do that, but it was such a kind gesture, and we really appreciated it. The housekeeping was also super quick—our room was always cleaned and ready in no time. Honestly, I’ll miss this place. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special, and it’s hard to find that level of care these days.

This Miramar by Windsor is in an excellent location, it’s spotlessly clean, the staff are so helpful, the breakfast was fantastic, the pool and pool bar were lovely and the showers in the room were so wonderful. Nice touches like chocolates in the room every day and a fresh bottle of water. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay here again. You can hear some noise from other rooms but nothing too bad. If you are a light sleeper maybe take ear plugs. We had an ocean view room and it was so lovely. We are lucky enough to holiday often and this hotel was of top quality and easily compares to other 4 and 5 star hotels.
