Let me start by saying the staff was so amazing! This place is great for any family adventure. Such interesting history and stories behind it. Any questions you have will be answered and they offer papers to show you the right way to go and lots of details. The gift shop was awesome offering things from sweets to jewelry. Overall I'll come back my wife and daughter had a great time!

Hodges,

A historic glimpse into the past. This castle is a beautiful masterpiece. I can say the ghosts are real as I had a wicked never felt before experience in the new military room. The teddy bears left for the children are heartbreaking but a nice tribute to remember them. Would glady go tour this castle again.

Google
This is an amazing self guided tour of a beautiful castle that has had a storied past. The staff here are super friendly and knowledgeable of the past uses of this building and prior to the tour beginning you are given a short history. The entrance fee is $15 and worth every penny. There are lots of stairs inside so be ready for some walking.

This review is about the Miramont high tea, not the museum. Wonderful experience! The tea room is well decorated, and the space is well utilized, with enough space to keep the conversations at different tables private. The food comes in several stages, all original, high quality, and tasty. You can choose two different teas—two teapots per person. You can add a cocktail for an additional charge. Friendly and professional service. You can also have some fun wearing one of the hats provided by the establishment. Reservations highly recommended.

Really great historical site. Very well preserved and maintained. The staff of very nice to chat with and helpful. Highly recommend stopping in. They have a section devoted to fire fighters. There is also a section devoted to judge Young. See pictures.

A beautiful place to visit and be appreciative for our past and present! The staff were so nice and welcoming and their knowledge was very much appreciated! Thank you!

Google
Nice little walkthrough of the castle. Some history of the people who lived there and a tribute to the fire fighters who battled a blaze in the area. One of the judges for the Nurnberg WWII trials was from Colorado springs, so even some WWII pictures there

The mansion adds nice historical value for the area. Inexpensive entertainment, and a short uphill walk from "The Kitchen". The dining room has recently been renovated and is spectacular. Love the main staircase and electrification of the old gas lamps. The guest bedroom view is the best. Gotta love the fire museum portion and the world war exhibit with local memorabilia from WWI and WWII.

Yelp
The food was very creative and delicious. Everything was fresh. There was a wide selection of teas. The two teas we chose were very good. I highly recommend the Desert Sage - it's blue but turns purple with lemon juice. How neat! The tea room was medium-sized. It had a cute and charming Victorian ambiance. They had lots of tea party hats to dress up. So fun! I'm taking a star off because of The Queen's Parlour's PRICING and the design of their service routine. There is a $10 per person difference between the Light Victorian Tea ($35 pp) and High Tea ($45 pp). For an extra $10 pp, you basically get a fruit cup and a second pot of tea (different flavor). The service was impersonal with being served in sequence, so you hear the same spiel table after table introducing each course. It felt very factory-like. There was only one server for the majority of our visit, and she definitely did her best with how the tea service is done here. Again, the food was very good and flavorful. I would return again if a visiting friend or family member wanted to experience the tea room here. I would just opt for the Light Victorian Tea. We did tour the castle after tea and visit the gift shop. Everyone who worked at the castle was very pleasant to interact with.

Yelp
Fantastic food and service! Miramont castle is fun to tour but the real draw is the tearoom. Cozy, comfortable dining room with plenty of space between tables. We've taken tea several times and the menu is always excellent with a great selection of teas. The food is quite filling and is so expertly prepared. Flavor combinations are really great! Thank you Leah and Lisa for the great service!!! We'll definitely be back for the holiday tea. Can't wait. Check them out!

Yelp
Such a wonderful high tea experience. Beautiful room with many tables. Traditional high tea. Delicious food. Service was great. They even have hats you can wear. Champagne or mimosas available as well. The price is excellent, $35, for what you enjoy. Went there with a friend ... will go back and take my Mom.

Yelp
Brought my 8-year-old granddaughter here for her first tea. She absolutely loved it. Service is very friendly and attentive. Ambiance is one of a traditional English tea situated in an old castle that's kept in pristine condition. Doilys abound and fanciful hats are there for the borrowing. Waitstaff wears traditional black and white dresses with aprons. We opted for the Princess Tea and High Tea. Fruit and scone were served first followed by tea sandwiches. Finally, we were served dessert. Desserts were a bit on the sweet side. Strawberry Fields was the caffeine-free tea my little Princess chose & I had the Lady Lavender, followed by Red Rocks and enjoyed both. The only difference between the less expensive adult tea choice is one extra pot of tea, which is too much for one person. Best to save yourself some money and opt for the "smaller" tea lunch, as you get exactly the same food. Overall, it was a fun experience, although most people show up in very casual attire, we opted to wear sun dresses, which made it that much more enjoyable and felt more traditional.

Yelp
Go here for tea! We did the Victorian tea and it was the perfect amount. Staff was all very friendly and the tea was good! They also had strawberry and grapefruit mimosas which were both delicious! The food was all amazing! Gingerbread mouse and mini bread bowl with potato soup were our two favorites! They even have a selection of fancy hats you can it on while dining. I choose to wear the crown I had just bought myself in the upstairs gift shop. Be sure to your Miramont Castle while you are there!

Yelp
If you like hot tea, this is the place to be! I'm SO thankful to Kate for reconfiguring the tables so our party of five could make a reservation because having experienced it I would've been SO sad to miss it! You MUST begin by picking out a hat - we got a good belly laugh wearing them. Our reservation was for the 3-course Light Victorian Tea ($35/person, $10 cheaper than the High Tea which includes a serving of fruit) and we all left full. Each person got to select their own tea flavor which came in their own tea pot. This meant for our party of five we got to taste five different teas - Climber's High Chai, Lavender Lady, Choco-Mint Truffles, Mango Tango and Boulder Breakfast. If you like chai, floral hints, chocolate and mint, and a refreshing fruitiness, TRY THESE! Every person got one of everything which totaled: one scone (you MUST try the Devonshire Cream with it!), four "sandwiches" (think heavy Hors d'oeuvres) and four mini-desserts. It was all SO good each with its own flavorful deliciousness! I would definitely do this again!

Yelp
I had tea and sandwiches here when I was about 10 years old and I still remember the experience fondly! It's a beautiful tea room and a beautiful castle to peruse. The food we ordered were bite sized, but there were plenty of choices to fill me! We had a wonderful time and got all dressed up for the occasion. Its definitely something to experience at least once in colorado!

Yelp
We had an excellent time at afternoon high tea here. This is a quaint little room in Miramont Castle which gives you an English royal experience. We had the "creme tea" which came with a pot tea (of your choice from an extensive menu) and 2 scones. There were other tea packages which included sandwiches, and you can also order off their menu if you're looking for something more. I would say it's a nice place to come in a group of 2-4 people for an intimate conversation over tea. I had the "climbers chai" which was nicely caffeinated and a great cure for my headache after spending the morning at 14,000 ft. Don't worry about dressing "high tea" as we came straight from the mountain and saw other tourists there in their hiking gear. The staff was friendly and versatile. We were planning on staying to tour the castle but time flew by in the tea room because we enjoyed it so much! If I ever make my way back to Colorado Springs I'll definitely go by again.

Yelp
This was a delicious lunch! My mom and I went for a girls day and were pleasantly surprised with the food! The scenery is gorgeous and the parlour has a lovely view of the mountains! We purchased the Light Victorian Tea, in which we got two different teas, a large scone for each of us, 4 sandwiches each, and 4 desserts each. It was PLENTY! We were worried about the quantity but the food was very filling! I would recommend the mango tango tea especially!! If there is a tea you especially like, you can also purchase it in the castle's gift shop. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the castle.

Yelp
It was amazing. They really went all out:) appointments were way and the food was delicious.

Yelp
Very disappointing. You do not get what you see on the website. The tea cups and plates were not china, plain white no name basic dish ware. The food was disappointing, a dry cold scone, no tea sandwhiches. The amount of food served was a joke for the $35 per person cost. I have been to many High Teas, and I would not call what they do High Tea.

Yelp
Two days later and my daughters are STILL talking about how wonderful our tea date was at The Queen's Parlour at Miramont Castle! Our High Tea experience rates 5 stars without question. The reservation process, our waiter, the food, the ambiance, and the price point were ALL perfect. The tea menu is extensive and there are several decaffeinated and caffeinated blends to choose from. All three of the teas we selected were fantastic. Could not have asked for a better way to spend two hours! Take a look at the website for more information about the tea but know that the menu changes every couple of days (so the chefs and the customers don't get bored) and reservations are highly recommended. We went with the High Tea option which is a four course lunch. It was a lot of food for us but we ate most of it and carried out the leftovers. I really wish I had taken down the name of our waiter (Wednesday, July 12) because he was exceptional and I really would like to compliment him here! Oh, and the hats (available for both men and women) the Parlour had available for us to wear throughout our tea lunch were great! They made it an extra fun experience (if that's even possible)! Can't wait to take my mom and daughters back for tea at a later date and explore their gluten-free options! Ay. I just thought about the warm butterscotch scone ... so, so divine!
