Mirasol Villa - Placencia, Belize

My wife and I rented a single bedroom at Mirasol. The hosts were extremely helpful, the villa was in great shape, and the pool was very warm! We also had access to the neighboring resort’s beach and swim up bar. I would highly recommend staying here. It’s an amazing location close to the beach, sidewalk shops, and has lots of very close food and bar options.

This location is phenomenal! It is yards from the beach and a short walk to everywhere in the village. There are so many amazing places to eat and shop, it was hard to get it all in. The pool was fantastic, it was nice to have when we wanted to stay out of the sun but hit the water. The rooms and condo are beautiful! So warm and welcoming. The hosts were great at responding and helping with anything we needed too. I will definitely be returning!!

Mirasol has it all. Surrounded by a privacy wall and garden area, Mirasol also has a private pool with a grill and outdoor seating area under a tiki hut. ||Outside of the gate, it is literally 50 steps to the beach, to stunning sunrises each morning, and to Toucan Jack’s, a beach bar with great vibes. ||Mirasol is a 5 minute walk to everywhere…the grocery store, excellent Placencia Village restaurants, the pier, and several shops along The Placencia Sidewalk. ||As for the apartments, I stayed in the 3 bedroom, 2 bath apartment and found it clean with everything in good working order. The bed was comfortable, showers were hot, air con and fans cooled the apartment nicely. The kitchen had everything needed, and I loved the full deck with its hammocks, couch, chairs, and dining table. ||Placencia Village was a quick 25 min flight on Tropic Air from Belize City. And it was a perfect place to launch for scuba and snorkeling and the underwater wonders of the world’s 2nd largest barrier reef. ||I plan to go back to Mirasol with family and friends and can’t say enough good about the location and accommodations. The value for the money is outstanding.

We loved our visit to Mirasol. My wife and I stayed in one of the 1-bedroom apartments on the main level for a week. |The communication leading up to our stay was clear and concise. By the time we arrived, all we needed to do was utilize the handy lock box to gain access to the apartment. No need to meet anyone. |The location is a real highlight. Being near the end of the peninsula means that the house is just a short walk to the majority of restaurants, bars and the pier. The main boardwalk is just a few steps outside of the door which will connect you to most of the beach-side businesses. There is also a grocery store just as you hit Placencia Road.|The beach itself is only a minute walk. Toucan Jack's is quite close. They have a swim-up bar and lovely staff. It's an easy place to spend an afternoon or five. |Our goal was to spend time unwinding, which we certainly achieved. The property was quiet and the back deck was a wonderful place to spend mornings reading or afternoons in the pool. |I would certainly recommend staying at Mirasol.

Our family spent 2 weeks at Mirasol in Placentia in January. The house is very clean and comfortable. The location is very good as it is a short walk to great restaurants like the Cozy Corner, Barefoot Bar, Rick's, etc. Just out the gate is the beach. Having laundry in each unit makes it advantageous to pack light. We had many a relaxing afternoon around the pool. We can't wait to go back next winter!

Mirasol is in the perfect location which is the reason I'm a repeat client. Easy access to the beach as well as all restaurants, bars, grocery stores and shops. I was with 2 friends and the upstairs villa was perfect for the 3 of us (just as it could be for 3 couples). We all had our own rooms with 2 baths. Plenty of space to lounge on the balcony, by the pool or in our living room. Laundry facilities if needed and air conditioning as well as quiet ceiling fans. I felt quite at home here and would definitely recommend as well as go back. I would say this definitely meets the gold standard.

Mirasol is a great place to stay with multiple sizes of groups. The house can be rented all at once or as separate units. 2 separate 1-bedroom / 1-bathroom units on the lower level and 1 upper unit 3-bedroom / 2-bathroom option. Each unit has a full kitchen, living room area, washer/dryer, and separated outdoor space. There is common area outside with a pool, a covered table with chairs, and a grill. It's a good option if you are traveling with a group but want separate living space. Each of the lower units has a queen size sleeper sofa as well. All outdoor areas are secured with a fence and gates. The house is centrally located in Placencia and really easy to walk to get groceries, go to restaurants, bars, and shops. It's quiet at night, but plenty of nightlife to safely walk to as well. There are multiple tour companies within walking distance as well. One thing to consider is that the house is located on Placencia's world famous sidewalk, so you will need to walk a bit to the house from any vehicle drop-off, but it is not that far. Just make sure you have bags that roll! I've stayed multiple times and each unit is clean and comfortable. This is a great, low-cost option and I will certainly be back.

Definitely a hidden gem and a tremendous find for our stay in Placencia! We really enjoyed the stylish, well-appointed space with its proximity to the beach, nice dining options, and the private pool. Communication with the managers was great when we had a small problem with the washing machine, but other than that it was a tremendous value and I'll certainly stay here again next time I'm in Placencia.
