"The Mirbeau brand is known for its château-style hotels in the Finger Lakes and Plymouth, Massachusetts, and its new Rhinebeck location feels like something out of a French fairy tale. Opened in fall 2019, it closed temporarily during the pandemic but reopened on May 15 and is now welcoming guests to its romantic rooms, complete with fireplaces, French-style soaking tubs, and plush bathrobes." - Devorah Lev-Tov

I Loved it! From the moment I stepped through the door, the staff are welcoming and helpful, the room exquisite, the amenities are spotless and soothing, the food! Oh my! Aside from being absolutely delicious, the portions were very generous - so much so that I couldn’t manage to fit dessert in (and I so wanted to try the banana cheesecake that everyone was raving about). I had perfect night sleeps on the very comfortable beds….i give this a Inn a 10! The bonus is the town of Rhinebeck is adorable, lots of quaint stores and restaurants (I ventured to have lunch out by ate my dinners at the Inn)

Wonderful weekend getaway to Mirbeau Inn and Spa. The hotel is elegant and very relaxed and welcoming. The bed, linens and pillows are very comfortable and our 3rd floor room had a great view over the trees and town. The spa was a great place to relax with large hot tub and quiet waiting area with very nice treatment rooms. The staff were very professional and helpful. Great bar with wine station and excellent food and drinks. The pastry chef was excellent and we orderered room service breakfast including baked good basket each morning. Highly recommend Mirbeau for a perfect weekend getaway.

We stayed one night at Mirbeau Inn & Spa in Rhinebeck and found the property peaceful and well-maintained. Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable — a restful space in a charming location.||Parking was easy, with spots available right out front. However, no help was offered with luggage, which felt out of place for a property at this level.||During turndown service, a staff member simply asked if we needed anything and handed us chocolates — no actual turndown was performed, and no other amenities were offered. It felt like a missed opportunity to elevate the experience.||We ordered room service, which was efficient and arrived promptly. The burger and salad we ordered were quite good. Just note that the bill includes both a delivery fee and an automatic gratuity, so it’s worth double-checking before tipping extra.||Overall, while the stay was pleasant and the room comfortable, we expected a bit more polish and attentiveness from a property in this category.

We only went to enjoy the spa and restaurant, and it was a wonderful experience. The hotel was small, cozy, modern, and very clean. The staff was very kind and welcoming. Massages were great, next time I will definitely book for longer than 50 minutes. The other amenities at the spa were exactly what one needs for a day of relaxation. The food at the restaurant was a bit pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for, excellent quality! We will be returning here!

My husband and I visited for the first time for my birthday. We spent two nights and three wonderful days. Mirabeau staff is very pleasant, informative and always took the extra step to make our stay incredible. Willow Restaurant was delicious with every bite bursting with freshness and flavor. Although the Inn is right in town when you pull into the driveway you feel like you have escaped into a little getaway from the crowds. Cannot wait to return in October!!

Mirbeau is an amazing experience from the moment you drive thru the pillars and see the French Chateau building. We started to stay at Mirbeau when our son started Marist in the Fall of ‘21 and we have enjoyed every visit since. This past weekend was his graduation and Mirbeau was our place of luxurious refuge in the midst of a whirlwind weekend of festivities. While we were not able to enjoy the full spa treatment, we all enjoyed the sauna and calming room. We enjoyed celebrating at bar with other Marist families. Mirbeau’s restaurant, Willow, is delicious! I highly recommend Mirbeau for those staying in Rhinebeck as it is walkable to the town. ||We will be back to enjoy Mirbeau for years to come!

This place is a dream! It's beautiful and calm - a little oasis in the middle of life. The staff are attentive and welcoming. The rooms are spacious and luxurious. The food is terrific and the spa services are top notch. This was my second visit and I look forward to scheduling my third!

Google
Mirbeau Inn & Spa Rhinebeck is more than just a 5-star hotel—it’s an experience. A perfect spot to spend a long weekend unwinding, enjoying great food and wine, relaxing at the spa, and recharging in the sauna. The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming, and the location is peaceful yet just a short walk from local restaurants and bars. We’re already planning to come back in the winter—it’s the kind of place that has its own magic with the seasons. Pro tip: don’t skip breakfast. Their pancakes are a must-try. And if you’re lucky, you’ll get to meet Najhaa—a truly wonderful person who made our stay even more special.

Yelp
This is about the spa.The massage was ok. My husband really enjoyed his but I didn't really. I it was just ok. I was a little uncomfortable and I became dehydrated. When I booked the spa treatment it said it was 360 for a couples massage. So I figured that was an amazing deal. Turns out I guess I didn't understand that it was 360 per person. I wish that was explained to me before booking the massage because I would have never even booked it. The pricing on the website is completely misleading and I will never return or recommend this place to anyone. It wasn't worth the money. They also lie to you when you book the massage because they told me they would celebrate my birthday with me and they never did anything. Thanks so much Mirabeau, for bankrupting us out of our money, now we don't even know how we are going to get groceries/ dinner for the week. I felt super dizzy after the massage and my husband got a huge headache. I really wanted to feel good and relaxed like when we went to the Emerson to get massages. This didn't happen at all. I actually felt super awful that I even went. I'd recommend going to the Emerson spa in the Catskill mountains. It's way closer and cooler than this place! Emerson is way more reasonable and you get more for what you pay

Yelp
The beauty of this place is intentional and it shows. Lovely paintings, attention to details for comfort...it shows Me. Edward A Kellogg! Your most wonderful assets here are your staff including in no particular order: Emma (mani/pedi); Curt (exercise/yoga); Kendall and Phaki (couples massage); Victor& Kevin (Food mgrs); Samantha, Maddy, LeighAnn, Zoe (servers); Meghan (pastry chef). I'm sure there are many more involved whose name I don't know, I'm sorry. The time spent with caring, kind individuals made my time here more delightful! Being welcomed and/or acknowledged is a very special! Thoughtfulness is a rare gift in these harsh world, your staff has it tremendously! This four day stay was a surprise treat for my birthday planned and financed by my husband. I'm so grateful to him for sharing this special place with me! Thank you so much!!

Yelp
Just a great top notch spa experience! When I checked in they offered champagne. Felt like royalty!

Yelp
To Mirbeau Team~ When it comes time for your daughter's bridal shower, you want everything to be perfect. I am beyond grateful that I decided to book Mirbeau Inn & Spa Rhinebeck for the venue. The location itself is beautiful, but it was the attention to detail that truly impressed me. From the moment I met Emory Welcher, the Director of Sales & Marketing, I knew we were in good hands. She provided us with numerous options and was always just a call away to answer our questions. On the day of the event, Emory was there to ensure everything was set up exactly as we had discussed. Her dedication was exactly what you want when planning a special event. We also wanted a custom cake, and Pastry Chef Meggan Kalkowski exceeded our expectations. We discussed our theme, and she brought it to life. The cake was not only stunning but also absolutely delicious. We've received so many compliments about it, with guests mistaking it for a stack of books because it looked so authentic. On the day of the event, we were fortunate to have Penelope manage our party. She was incredible, always ten steps ahead, ensuring we never had to ask for anything. The food, including tea sandwiches, pastries, macarons, and madeleines, was delicious, and Penelope kept everything replenished. The Mimosa Bar with fresh fruit was refreshing and beautifully presented, and Penelope ensured it was always flowing. I'm writing this review not only to compliment the team but also to help anyone considering Mirbeau Inn & Spa Rhinebeck for their event. Look no further and stop stressing - this is the place. I can't wait to celebrate more occasions at Mirbeau and work with this amazing team again and again.

Yelp
Needed to unwind and found this place. The hotel is new construction. It is located right off the main intersection in Rhinebeck, so you can walk to many shops and restaurants. The decoration is nice. The staff couldn't be nicer. We had a really pleasant afternoon at the bar. Our room was beautifully appointed with a comfortable bed. We were well rested after a night here. The hotel makes a conscientious effort to minimize pollution. Why 4 stars? We're not really spa people and that's the focus of the Inn. The inn is a lot more expensive than the competition. It's definitely better, but I'm not sure if it's a great value proposition. The restaurant is adjacent to the bar and common area. I found it a bit odd that guests are allowed to dine in their bathrobes in what is presented as a high end restaurant. If you are a spa person, by all means go. If you like high end hotels with excellent service, same thing. If you want a lot of bang for your buck, this isn't your place.

Erica L.

Yelp
Went here for the spa. The restaurant was amazing the spa left a lot to be desired. It was hot outside and they left the heat on in the outdoor pool. It was unbearable. Wished there were more amenities. The massage was nice. People do use the spa as a gym -- which if I lived in the area it would be great.

Anne M.

Yelp
Excellent staff, beautiful setting. Expensive. Trendy and high end. It is an elegant setting.

Yelp
We had a wonderful experience at this Inn and Spa. The view off the dinning room is spectacular and we loved having breakfast there each morning. It's close to town which is great yet quiet and exclusive. The staff is great especially Billy at the front desk who was incredibly friendly and helpful. The bartender Victor was terrific as were all the other staff. The rooms are great with good beds and towels and robes. Parking is easy in a town where there isnt much parking and this is just a well run efficiently managed operation and we will be back very soon!

Yelp
My husband and I visited Mirbeau spa this weekend . It was our 1st time and it def won't be our last . Where do I begin.. The second you pull up to the parking lot you see a beautiful building . You park , as you walk in you hear soft music playing . The front desk staff was very welcoming an Offer a free glass of champagne . The decor and the presentation of the hotel is beautiful . The elevators have this pretty pattern cloth on the wall. Room WOW, the headboard on the bed is beautiful , loved the fireplace . The bed was very comfortable , the pillows a little too soft but not a deal breaker .The bathroom has (2) sinks. Storage for towels , even had a small black face towel that said makeup. I though that was so cute! They have refillable body wash / lotion / shampoo conditioner available to use and purchase. The fragrance of their products is so good . We had the Forest view but it wasn't anything to pay the extra $20 for . Its just green trees . I love the 2 chairs by the bed . Nice place to sit and enjoy the room coffee. The coffee machine / brewer was really good and they have instructions posted. Spa/hot Tub/ quiet room We had massages booked . The massage itself Was very good . My Masseuse was very sweet and gave me a few recommendations of things to do. (Poets walk and holy cow ). The outdoor hot tub was nice . Not many chairs . I would say about 11 total . I LOVED the way they displayed the towels on a towel hanger . The lady at the bar was so nice and made excellent drinks . Shes by herself so if she had to pick up food she would be gone for a few minutes . But shes worth the wait . I had a few mimosas and a mojito . We tried the Cesar wrap . Everything was delicious . We waited in the quiet room to be called for our massages . Its a room with cool back chairs . Very relaxing . Unfortunately as other reviews stated the quiet room is on the way to the hot tub and to the bathrooms . It has to be Walked into to access the other parts . Not very "quiet " since it has traffic all the time. My FAV part of the spa were the SHOWERS. Everything you need is in the individual shower rooms. Towels , shampoo , conditioner , body wash. Then you throw the used Towels in a romper . The shower in the spa is a Million times Nicer, bigger and prettier then the shower in the room. My favvv part! Restaurant We only sat down for breakfast . Their sourdough Bread is out of this world . Delicious mimosas. The bacon the pancakes. Omg the home fries. So flavorful! Area Rhinebeck looks so nice . There's a few stores to walk around and visit . There's a cvs 5 minutes away incase u need something . The area looks nice and safe . Were from NY , as a New Yorker we had 1 big complain . Everything is closed soooooooo early . Even the gas station . It was around 9:30-10 and we had no place to get a Snapple or a soda . The hotel only had 1 club soda/ water and liquor . Overall , im so happy we discovered this hotel . Cant wait for our Christmas visit !

Yelp
Staying for 3 nights in December in the Executive suite with adjoining rooms, and honestly, I am not sure if Mirbeau deserves 3 or 4 stars for several reasons - 1) rooms are well-appointed, but the layouts are awkward 2) spa is average for the resort fee 3) on-sight restaurant (Willow by Charlie Palmer) is average compared to NYC (with prices comparable to NYC). I realize that we're in COVID times, but we're not a high maintenance crew as we normally turn down daily housekeeping anyways and we like to keep to ourselves. Even if they are short-staffed like everywhere else, Mirbeau does not go out of their way to provide an exceptional guest experience compared to hotels in the same class. I suppose it's good enough if you have to stay in Rhinebeck and the Beekman Arms is sold out, but it could have been so much more...Mirbeau could have been another great reason to come to Rhinebeck. Oh well...

Lori M.

Yelp
Beware, the power goes out in the spa and they will stop your service. We stayed in April but discovered this happens more often in the summer. The steam room was not working so there was only a small sauna and hot tub area. Given the size of the property you would expect more from the spa. They offer limited time slots. We had to go to town to get additional spa treatments. For the treatments we did receive at the hotel spa, the practitioners were great. The town has amazing restaurants. The hotel rooms were nice. The size of the spa and the power issues were unfortunate.

Sharon W.

Yelp
Back at our home away from home for a few days to decompress and couldn't be happier! Staff, rooms, service and food are exemplary here at Mirbeau Rhinebeck. We're so happy to be back!

Melissa G.

Yelp
Beautiful spot for lunch in Rhinebeck, went with my mom during a visit home. Nice setting, excellent service and food. Though a bit disconcerting to be dining with people in their robes and slippers that are there for the spa - I've eaten at plenty of spas where the robes stay in the spa or in the room, not in the dining room.

Minnie V.

Yelp
Everything was top notch. The staff and service both great. Food excellent. Accommodations clean and beautiful. Although several towels in room were stained. Spa services were good. I've only had Massages here but always very good and they really know what they're doing. My biggest complaint os the fly problem on patio AND they end up on the relaxation room. First time I visited they were trying to solve for it and placed out some type of diffusers everywhere outside but that didn't really seem to work. It's really bad. You really can't enjoy sitting outside especially if you order food, it's unbearable. Plus there were flies inside the relaxation room. They need to find a solution. It's really gross. Otherwise is a five star experience. They've thought of everything!! The town is so cute and pleasant to walk around. Very calm and not crowded. Grabbed dinner each night at some excellent restaurants. Recommend the Amsterdam and to Pop into the Beekman Arms for a drink and to see the pre-revolutionary war building. A great Antique mall right next to the hotel.

Amy R.

Yelp
So very disappointing. I ordered the willow breakfast. Poached eggs 1 was perfect, 1 overcooked. Toast was grilled and not toasted, bacon was flaccid and hash wasn't hash. It was overly seasoned dry fingerling potatoes. ) $17 bucks. As I am sitting here I hear multiple people coughing and sniffling. I'm sad about this. Now I hear someone making guttural sounds, coughing and blowing their nose. Seriously go home!!!! Now they're arguing and she's coughing again. Omg!!!

Mary P.

Yelp
They changed their policy and now you can not use the spa amenities any more than an hour prior to your services. We generally made a day of it with a group of girlfriends. Save yourself some money and go down the street to Haven. They are just a spa and don't have all the extras, but Mirbeau won't let you use theirs anyway.

Sari G.

Yelp
Nice place but needs a pool. Not much to do and workout room is tiny. They said I had 103 left on my overnight deposit but wouldn't give me my credit on my card I had recently got hit by a car in Dec and I'm recovering from a broken kneecap so wasn't up for treatments or a 60 dollar or more manicure. We used money for a bunch of room service breakfast and coffees for about 68 dollars. When we checked out another gal said oh I can credit the balance to your card! It was quiet though and everyone is nice. Rhinebeck is a lovely town and it's nice to get away. Next time they should be honest

Kelly T.

Yelp
A friend and I visit here often for some fun and relaxation. The rooms are beautiful and beds are amazing. The food at Willow is top notch and the spa treatments are incredible. The entire staff is great; Sabrina, the manager at the Inn is the absolute best. Can't wait for our next stay!!!

Carolyn R.

Yelp
Me and my gf had the most wonderful two days here. Very relaxing , tranquil and exhilarating getaway from the very day mundane fast paced life we live. Our room was beautiful. Fireplace , huge gorgeous bathroom with all amenities provided. My services were the 50 min Swedish massage and the organic radiance facial... left me glowing. So many choices for relaxation. Sauna, tranquility room, and outdoor heated salt water pool. If you're interested classes available like yoga, Pilates

Sharon C.

Yelp
If you like to dine on bland , uninspired, lackluster food, yes you will need salt, this is the place for you. If you like to dine in a beautiful room next to naked people in white robes, this is the place for you. If you are looking to spend $120 for lunch for 2 and don't mind being surrounded by pretentious snobs from out of town, this is the place for you. Good luck trying to get a parking spot anywhere near on a Monday afternoon. Staff and waiters are very delightful and courteous. (They get the one star) If you are planning on dining at "Willow" I would highly recommend you walk across the street to Rhinebeck Bagels for breakfast and a block down to Le Petit Bistro for dinner! My 2nd time here...potato leek soup (was this seriously straight out of a can?), Caesar salad with one , yes one anchovy), roasted turkey sandwich (so, so) onion soup (meh) and shrimp spaghetti ( why would you put peas in a spaghetti dish? If you only have a fork, you can't actually eat them together, the peas wind up in the bottom of the bowl and then you need a spoon!) Who the heck is this Charlie Palmer person who is supposed to be the chef??? Willow is such a sad example of what is happening to Rhinebeck. Again, if you are interested in good food and genuine hospitality and don't want to be all dressed up and sit next to someone in their bathrobe this is NOT the place for you! PS: the Mille Feuille was delicious! I might go back only for the desserts! I will probably wear my bathrobe!

Brian D.

Yelp
The Inn is beautiful and very clean. Pleasant sized rooms with comfortable beds. Extremely disappointed that my daughters and I were not able to get one appointment for any kind of spa treatment for the two days that we were there. Everything was booked!!! Why spend the money to stay at an inn and spa if you have NO access to the spa. Annoyed Addendum.....lowered my review. Trying to sit by the "aqua terrace" .....the one thing we could do. Wanted to order cheese and crackers to go with our wine and was told"we have none", "we are low on everything". REALLY!!!!! This is suppose to be a upscale establishment....I know this is first world problems but WTF!!!!

Christine S.

Yelp
Really lovely rooms and a beautiful spa. They're doing a great job making people feel safe during Covid. One thing holding me back from giving it 5 stars: The bathroom in my room was very clean in terms of surface area. But the bathtub had a lot of hair in it from the previous visitor. And there was more on the floor. But not a speck of dirt. I guess the person who stayed in this room before me had a lot of hair!!!

Kelly S.

Yelp
I decided on the Mirabeau Inn after much research. I had about a week off work and originally was planning a longer elaborate getaway that seemed to take on a life and an expense of its own. I came to senses and decided on a more local weekend getaway with some pampering. The Inn had only been open for a couple of weeks. The room I had was very well appointed with my window overlooking the forest. There were deer and it was quite relaxing. I had three treatments during the weekend, and they were wonderful. The spa is gorgeous and extremely relaxing and luxurious. They have an outdoor jacuzzi which was perfect for the chilly evening. I especially appreciated the treatments could be booked relatively late in the evening so you could just have a small dinner and glass of wine, exactly what I wanted. The restaurant was not doing room service yet, but they were happy to organize a small dinner in my room. The food was delicious. The Inn had some opening pains, but the management and staff could not have been more professional and resolved all of my issues. I would highlight recommend Mirbeau for a weekend or event. There is plenty to do in the area, and the town is a wonderful town for shopping! Thank you, staff!

Andrew S.

Yelp
As many business nowadays this place is loving the supply/demand imbalance caused by COVID and travel restrictions. $600/night is absolutely absurd for this hotel. But let pretend for a moment this is a fair price. For this price I would expect corresponding level of service. Example 1 - pouring rain outside, nobody there, can maybe enjoy a cigar - sir this is a non smoking property. Proper level of service would be - could I interest you in our selection of cigars. Example 2 - nothing to do in this hotel besides spa - let's go for a massage - sir your child may not accompany you into the spa. 18+ only!! What am I supposed to do since you don't specify this at the time of booking? Look for a babysitter in a town I don't live in?? Proper level of service - would your beautiful daughter require a small size robe. I would say check out other places - this one is a hard pass. But if you must go please keep in mind this place is not kids friendly ( I can't say adults only as they will let you check in with a kid and maybe keep them locked in the room :) but that's about it)

Lynn R.

Yelp
I came to Mirbeau with my sister to celebrate her birthday...this spa was probably the best present I could have given her! The resort resembles a French chateau, and the interior is rich, lush, and elegant. It has such a convenient location as it is steps away from the heart of downtown Rhinebeck. There are so many amenities: a couple of saunas, an aqua terrace with a huge jacuzzi, and workout rooms with free classes. The spa has its own line of bath and body products and they are available throughout the resort and also in your room. I loved the Willow restaurant, and we enjoyed a delicious brunch on Sunday morning while listening to live jazz music. My one critique: I was never given clear instruction on the "procedure" of the resort where you check in to the front desk of the spa and reserve a locker for the day. Also, it would have been nice to be given a mini tour of the spa upon arrival; I stayed three nights and I felt like I had to figure things out on my own. I noticed that the day spa visitors were given lengthy tours and instructions, and I think the same approach should be used for overnight guests. Overall, I had a wonderful time, I felt the resort was luxurious, and I would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
Post COVID was a bit nervous about staying over night.. picked Mirbeau because it looked like a well maintained spa/hotel. Only stayed the night for a quick getaway. Very nice, excellent staff , spa relaxing, beautiful rooms, cute little bar. Only one hiccup but it was handled very professionally and quickly by (I believe that was her name) the manager Meg. I would return.

Mar B.

Yelp
I visited the spa using a day pass. It was impeccably clean and the staff was all lovely. Everyone was masked and respected social distancing. The hot tub is huge so it is easy for a larger number of people to be in there and keep distance. They have lovely heat lamps for sitting outside too. I had booked a massage but decided at the last minute I wasn't ready to have one due to covid. The spa was so accommodating. Even though I changed my mind at the last minute and was fine with paying for the massage they only charged me for a day pass. I will definitely be back for a massage and more once covid is less of a worry for me.

Ludine M.

Yelp
So you know when you go to a hotel and you love it so much you dread going home? This was not my experience. I paid for a village view which ended up being the parking lot facing the trash receptacle. My husband and I like our room cold so we turned the temperature all the way to 63 degrees yet to get the room to feel comfortable I still had to open our sliding doors to the balcony. Unfortunately having open doors meant I was awaken on night two to someone's car alarm at 1:30am and night three to a delivery truck pulling up to the hotel. The sheets were rough, the pillows cheap and thin and the mattress lacked support. We spent three nights and there wasn't even a mini fridge. Picture of the shower stall grout below. For the price we paid I was hoping the room would also have a little separate reading nook area apart from the sleeping area. Terrible design and layout. Taking my family elsewhere next time in Rhinebeck .So happy to be home.
