A very intimate breakfast setting with elegant walls, high ceilings, and large windows offering a beautiful view of the Makati–San Lorenzo area. The atmosphere feels relaxed yet refined, and the service is impeccable — staff are genuinely attentive and always ready without being intrusive.
Serving portions are on the smaller side considering the price point, though this may be because breakfast was part of our room package. It’s unclear if à la carte orders come in the same serving size.
We sampled several dishes to explore the menu:
• Miso Salmon – Perfectly cooked with beautifully crisp skin while the salmon remains juicy and tender.
• Wonton Noodle Soup – A clear standout; the wontons are generously filled, the shrimp plump and juicy, and the broth flavorful yet clean.
• Beef Tapa – Lean, tender, and well-balanced — not overly salty, a refined version of this Filipino classic.
• Longganisa Platter – Garlicky and flavorful, though the danggit that comes with it is a bit too tough and chewy.
• Omelette – Fluffy with a pleasant smoky touch, simple but well-executed.
• Smoked Salmon Platter – Fresh and well-prepared, a light and satisfying option to start the day.
A few dishes didn’t quite meet expectations:
• Scrambled Truffle Egg – Cooked way too dry, losing the creamy texture and aroma that make truffle eggs special.
• Dim Sum Basket – Just average, nothing particularly memorable.
• Chocolate Crêpe – The biggest letdown; the crêpe was too thick and lacked that light, chewy texture, while the chocolate syrup tasted more like a commercial syrup than restaurant-quality chocolate.
As for the Hummus with Pita, the pita was nicely warm and soft, though we can’t fairly rate the dish as it’s not something we’re familiar with taste-wise — it simply didn’t suit our usual palate.
One noticeable issue across both mornings was that all fried eggs, regardless of the dish, were served cold. While they were cooked exactly as we requested, none arrived warm, which may point to a lapse in serving sequence or kitchen timing.
There were also quite a number of freshly baked pastries available, which pastry lovers would likely enjoy. We didn’t explore these much since we’re not pastry fans, but they did look inviting and well-prepared.
Overall, Mireio offers a refined and elegant breakfast experience with top-tier service and a peaceful view of Makati. While not every dish was perfect, the attentive staff and serene atmosphere make it a lovely place to start the morning — especially if you appreciate calm luxury over speed and volume.
