Mirkec

We decided to visit the old city of Trogir on recommendation of our local guide from Split. It is off season in December so the pier was full of yachts preparing for the next season. Some of the yachts were dazzling! We decided to have lunch in front of these beautiful boats at the Mirkec. It was another magnificent sunny winters day. Along the promenade the locals drank coffee and chatted. We were after something more serious. A bottle of wine and a tasty lunch. To our pleasure Mirkec delivered authentic flavoured Italian dishes, among the best I have had outside of Italy itself. A definite must if you like pasta. We tried the tagliatelle as a take away after we had scampi soup and local pasta with beef and mushrooms. All magnificent. We managed again to find a wonderful Croatian Chardonnay. Our waiter, Andrija, could not have been more friendly and accomodating. The longer we stay in Croatia the more we become intoxicated by its people, culture and abundance of naturals beauty. Of course then there is the history of Trogir….

Our waiter was very cool looking but very friendly and polite. Food was fantastic with great drink selections. There were patio seatings next to the Trogir Promenade, and also alley seating which was quieter. The prawn soup was a delight and the €34 scampi pasta was delicious, but it required a bit of work to peel the scampis, tools and towelette were provided.

What a place! The atmosphere was great, food was delicious and the service was exceptional!!! Ante (looking like a young Sean Connery ;)was the best!!! Our group of 15+ people enjoyed his service very much!!! ❤️

Great food and great service. We were recommended this place and it did not disappoint. It is right next to the water in Trogir old town, and we happened to have a large 2 masted ship docked right outside. The service was also excellent. I would highly recommend this place if you need a bite to eat in the old town. The pizza was great (try the Mirkec) and they have this spicy, not too spicy oil which was delicious.

Multiple places to enjoy your meal, along the promenade there are many tables, in the alley amongst potted plants and lovely Brac stone walls, or in a quaint dining space near the kitchen for more privacy.

Another great spot on the promenade in Trojir. Lovely patio. Absolutely delicious pizza and fantastically fresh salad. We had a great bottle of wine and an absolutely lovely evening. Definitely would go back!

I have been to this establishment a couple of times now, and anytime I come to Trogir, I make it a point to visit here. Best pizza in Croatia I’ve ever eaten. Also a great atmosphere to just chill in and take in the nightlife of Trogir and the beautiful ships moored near.

Quick service, great food all in a nice location. We are done the side street area which we enjoyed.
