Loved our visit in 2022 so we stopped back this year for lunch. The view absolutely cannot be beat. It's a lovely place to just sit and watch the ocean. Our waitress was very kind, polite, and as attentive as she could be. She was waiting on what appeared to be the whole restaurant. She did a great job and we were appreciative. Food wasn't fancy but was excellent. Wife had a fish sandwich and I had the fish Reuben. Both were perfect. We will continue to come back each trip we make to the island, love this spot.

This tiny little waterfront joint is well worth the trip. The location is remote but business is hoppin. The grouper Reuben was so so good. The crunchy fish sandwich was also delicious. Friendly service and very laid back. We loved it.

First rate establishment. Excellent food with an incredible view on the side. Very thankful for having been steered away from the burger to an absolutely original version of a Reuben... with Grouper. Well done and thank you!

Miss Lucy’s shows up on many people’s “must see” lists for St. John. We went on Thursday night, which is “Open Mic Night,” and I got to play keyboard with the excellent house band! A great evening. We spent the late morning and afternoon at Saltpond/Ram Head, which meant we were already on the Coral Bay side of the island, where Miss Lucy’s is. The VITRAN bus picked us up at Saltpond, and kindly dropped us off at Miss Lucy’s a bit before dinnertime. The VITRAN bus is a great option, if you can make it work in your schedule, but be sure to check when they’re coming. (The website schedule has almost nothing to do with the actual schedule!) We were glad we had some OFF insect repellant lotion, as were a few other people who asked to use some of ours! The band was setting up, and new members kept coming, even after the evening started. Apparently, the chef hadn’t shown up yet, but they took food orders, served drinks, and the music got going pretty close to on schedule, 5:30 pm. It was a great evening! Lots of folks—singles, couples, families—and everyone was into the music. Lauren and Bo Magnie (and their wonderful kids) really make it happen, along with a large cast of friends. The music ranged from reggae to folk to jazz to rockabilly, with lots of folks stepping in for a few numbers. Someone was making balloon animals, someone else was blowing bubbles. There was lots of dancing, and people jumping in with the band. There was even a guy playing spoons. The food came out incredibly LATE, like over an hour after we ordered it. But to be honest, no one cared very much. Everyone was having a blast, dancing, singing, and playing under the colored lights on a beautiful St. John evening. The place was packed. Oh, back to the food! We had fried plantains, and kallaloo and crab soup. Presentation was super informal, but the flavor was off the charts “top shelf!” It could’ve been something we got at a fancy place. So good. One thing: if you’re relying on taxis, make arrangements beforehand. We got stranded, there was no cell service, and the restaurant wifi was down. So we bummed a ride (thank you, new friend!) until we got into cell range, then called our favorite taxi driver for the ride home. But this just added to the wonderful adventure of Open Mic Night at Miss Lucy’s. Don’t miss it!

Absolutely lovely setting outside by the bay (if you don't mind the seaweed smell). Choices on the menu were numerous & hard to decide. Be warned...the crowd starts arriving as soon as Miss Lucy's opens, especially if you want a table outside. 6 of us choose a variety of entrees. The special was Roti Mutton with local veggies (yummm), another selected Roti with chicken & 3 of us got the grouper reuben (Yummm). All were delicious but couldn't beat the grouper. Superbly cooked & tasty. Didn't get an opportunity to visit for open mic on Thursday but heard it's a great time. Read the travel columns & websites, all emphasized to not miss a meal at Miss Lucy's. Make sure it's a stop on your trip!

Great food but, needs more wait staff for such a popular spot. We came in on a Wednesday after being run off the beach by a passing shower (~11:15). This must have been the same response for many other patrons. We were just able to beat the majority of the rush and seated within 5mins or so. Ordered drinks and appetizers (Rum punch and Plantains were delicious). Placed our order. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time (20-25mins) well worth the wait. I shared the Lucy's Grouper Ruben sandwich and the West Indies Fried fish. The Ruben was crispy fried grouper in a delicious Ruben sandwich with a side of fries. The West Indies was a lightly pan seared grouper with an enjoyable island spice (not overpowering) served with grilled veggies, beans and rice and fried plantains. Amazing! Moderately priced and bill had tip included (15-20%).When we were ready for to leave we had difficulty getting the bill paid due to the amount of people that had arrived while we were eating. Partly self induced with a party of splitting the bill 3ways with cash and credit. Pro Tip: When eating as a group on the island Cash is king! Waitress was super friendly but obviously flustered and in the weeds due to the sudden rush. As anyone who has worked in the food service industry can identify with. I definitely would recommend this place again and look forward to a return trip to Miss Lucy's! Just remember, you're in one of the most beautiful places on the planet, leave the stress of the mainland at home and take in the views (and the goats)!

What a charming place for a restaurant! And the food was not only a good immersion into good Caribbean cuisine, it was so good. Miss Lucy's is right on the beach and every seat has shade. The service was exceptional, everyone was so nice. We tried roti and johnny cakes, two local dishes. Roti is a curry-based filling in a dough pocket (similar to a burrito looks wise) and has potatoes, chicken and seasoning. It had an Indian food flare to it and was very good. Johnny cakes reminded me of buttermilk biscuits but more shaped like a roll and it was served with butter and honey. That was knock-your-socks-off good. I also tried the grouper reuben which was also delicious. The fish was flaky and had a crispy batter and the sauce was good but mellow. Everyone loves the dish they got and it was a great experience.

Soak in the view from this beach restaurant. Food and drinks were good and definitely captures the essence of island life. In such we spent probably over 2 hours at the restaurant as the pace of island service is a bit slower.

Yelp
Great view! Amazing food! Wonderful service! Bartender MarK and a server named Sarah were friendly and just fantastic! The view is probably one of the best eatery views on the Island. The food is real, the plantains are a must try! This gem can't be missed on your trip to the island!

Yelp
We got dinner here one evening and it was delicious. They had a limited menu that evening so we ordered the Chicken roti with fries, fried plantain and Kallaloo & crab soup, they were all good. It was open mic that evening and the atmosphere there was lovely with great music and great views.

Yelp
Don't drive by it. You may miss it. But great good. Wonderful service. Chill atmosphere. Loved it.

Yelp
We had a wonderful lunch at Miss Lucy's yesterday with an amazing Oceanside view and a visit from St. John's wild donkeys. The conch fritters appetizer was delightful. The ox tail and fried plantain special was tasty. I think they were low on staff which made for a slow truly relaxing Island dining experience. I would not go here if you are looking for a quick lunch but overall our dining experience was tasty and memorable. With appetizers, frozen drinks, and tip our lunch for 2 was $100.
google avatar

Lisa M.

Yelp
C Closed today but delish when open! they have the best Keylime coladas, as well as painkillers, and every kind of frozen mixed drink you can think of the fish sandwich is my favorite on the whole island. Problem is you never know if they're going to be open or not. But if you happen to be passing by, you should definitely stop in for a bite or a cocktail or both!

Yelp
The view is very nice. Especially on Thursday night when they are open late and have live music. Even though it is open mike night, there was some very good talent. And the back up band was very good. The service was rude. We were standing in line to get a drink. The person in front of us was done and passing us in the line. We put one foot up on the step to the bar. She told us to step down. We took our one foot off the step. She then paused and said ok next. We then stepped up to the bar to get our drinks. (She told us that was needed so the food server could get by. There were none in sight. ) I asked what beers to they have. She just gave me a frustrated look and said what do you want. The "menu" consisted of hot dogs, fish sticks, chicken. Go for the view and music on Thursday evening, because it is an institution. We did. It is now off our must do list, forever.

Yelp
Superb lunch along with great views. Loved the grouper Reuben...might be my favorite thing on the island. My husband loved the Johnny cakes as well. Great cocktails or as they call it fu-fu drinks. Servers here are so nice and friendly DMG as well.
google avatar

Laurie M.

Yelp
Husband and I decided to make the trek out to Miss. Lucy's since I was looking for the best conch fritters on the island. I have a fond memory of tasting conche fritters for the first time, on St. John and although I anticipated that the location I first had them is long gone (30 years ago), I still was determined to relive the experience and the ones here are delicious. Light batter and tasty dipping sauce. Husband har the crunchy fried fish and was equally happy with his selection.
google avatar

Sharon S.

Yelp
Dear Baby Jesus, thank you for blessing us with Miss Lucy's! It took almost our whole stay to get there. If we had made it on Day Two, we would have eaten there daily. We finally got our fritters. Duh-lish-us. Best view ever watching birds dive in the water for fish. We each ordered fish dishes with rice and peas...I honestly could eat there every day. Next time, we plan to do just that! Amen
google avatar

Aubrey M.

Yelp
Best food in St. John. My Grouper Reuben was to die for with a perfect crunch, yummy slaw. Got the plantains to start, also great. Any blended drink is a good choice--honeydew colada, lime n da coconut, and bushwhacker are all amazing. Service can be slow but don't be grumpy about it, food and view are worth it! You're probably on vacation if you're reading this and should have nothing better to do, so chill out!
google avatar

Rian F.

Yelp
BE READY TO WAIT FOR YOUR FOOD. (1-1.5 hrs) we waited over an hour for our food and they were not even full. I'm sure lack of staffing and the nature of their food makes it take a while. If you have patience and would like a good meal, then this is the place for you! Enjoyed the Reuben fish sandwich and plantains. Unfortunately they were out of theJohnny cakes. Of note their mixed drinks are amazing. Best colada I had during my entire trip! Got the melon dew colada and was very tasty

Yelp
Finally made it Miss Lucy's. Now open for lunch. What a view. Great service. Limited menu but well prepared food. I had a grouper sandwich. It was delicious. We hit Miss Lucy's after hike to Rams head. Followed by a stop at Skinny Legs. Great day on the East End.
google avatar

Holland W.

Yelp
Great food and live music! My only complaint is that it smelled like sargassum, but so does everything on that side of the island. All of the diet cokes I ordered were flat, but the server replaced them for me without extra charge. Would definitely come again.
google avatar

Anthony M.

Yelp
Great drinks and great food if you're on the East side of the island. The fried grouper sandwich or the grouper Reuben are the way to go. Waterfront view too.
google avatar

Missy G.

Yelp
SPECTACULAR views from pretty much all tables. The Lime da coconut drink was DELICIOUS. Service was great as was the food. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The roti was yummy.
google avatar

Alexis K.

Yelp
The atmosphere and view was great. Food was great. Drinks were cold. Friendly staff. I would definitely check this place out if you are in the area of Coral Bay.
google avatar

Tim L.

Yelp
Navigated the Keep Left and Donkeys along the way. We enjoyed some live music while taking in the beautiful STJ views from our outdoor table. We tried the Conch Fritters, Roti and Johnny Cake - the appetizers disappeared quickly! So good!
google avatar

Yelp
Incredible food and location, can't beat it. Special was like eating at a fine dining location. Definitely need to stop by if on the island.

Yelp
We have been to Miss Lucy's many times. Quick summary: Excellent food, drinks, and a beautiful view. Miss Lucy's is a casual restaurant and bar on the east end of St. John. The view of Coral Bay from the restaurant provides a stunning backdrop for lunch. Fir my cocktail, I tried the Lime in Da Cocunut for the first time here. Really refreshing and delicious beverage. For lunch I had the West Indies Fish Fry (local grouper) with remoulad. Simply and perfectly prepared fish dish! We also had had the Johnny Cakes (order of 3) which is served with butter and honey. Local style biscuits that are prepared fresh. Get an order when you visit! If you rent a car while on St. John's seek this place out!
google avatar

Chad Y.

Yelp
Went there on a Thursday night for open-mic night. It was pretty full with limited parking. A long line for the bar. We were surprised at the food after reading better reviews, as the portions were small and mostly fried. I ended up ordering almost one of everything on the menu because I was still hungry. Maybe this is just indicative of the open-mic Thursday night venue, but we were disappointed. The ambiance was fun, the music was great, the crowd was lively, and the full moon made for a beautiful night out. We would definitely go back and try again, with different expectations.
google avatar

Emily S.

Yelp
Had wonderful food & a beautiful ocean view. Off the beaten path but worth the drive!

Lauren S.

Yelp
One of the best and most peaceful spots on the island! The food and drinks are always good here. The conch fritters and fried plantains are fantastic. I just wish they could be more consistent with their business hours or find a better way to communicate when they will and won't be open.

A B.

Yelp
Angry mainland waitress. Spotty service. Crunchy fish sandwich was edible: order of fried plantains was less than one - cut up for $10. Amazing water view, but then again you can find that anywhere on the island. I'd skip the place unless you are close by. Not worth the drive from Cruz bay.
google avatar

Roberto Y.

Yelp
This restaurant is on the far end of St John. You will need a car to get there. It is a really nice spot to grab lunch after the beach. Their cocktails are delicious. You sit outdoors under trees overlooking Coral Bay and Tortola Island (BVI). Our food was tasty (Conch Fritters, Sweet Plantains, Grouper Rubens, Grilled Cheese and Chicken Tenders). They were already running out of food by the time we got there (2 hours before they close) which was disappointing but understandable given the current pandemic situation. It must be hard to tell how many customers they might get in any given day. I wanted to try the conch chowder but unfortunately they ran out of it. Nonetheless what we ordered was really good. This place only opens for dinner Tu-Thu in case you are planning a dinner meal. It is worth the trip to get to this place.
google avatar

Monica N.

Yelp
This is pretty much the only restaurant open on the east side of St. John because of recent COVID problems, but thank GOD it was open because we were starving. They serve really good local food here, and have a wonderful outside seating area right next to the water. Food took a while to serve, but it's a busy spot. Crunchy Grouper Sandwich: The grouper here is super fresh, and I love how thick the slice of fish is and it is definitely crunchy! Not too oily either. West Indies Grouper Platter: Lightly fried, thinner slice of the grouper. Still pretty yummy and probably healthier than the sandwich! The plantains here are also done really well, def recommend trying!

Yelp
We've been loving Miss Lucy's for several years, but this Time, not so much. Still the same good food, beautiful view, but the last two times we've gone this trip there was only one waitress serving each time (different person each time) and she was overwhelmed, and maybe because of feeling stressed, both of them were verging on rude. I've done the job myself, so know.... but it's not ok to vent on your customers. Maybe add another server? Won't go back

S H.

Yelp
Put Miss Lucy's on your must-do list. Very, very pleasant. Service good, can be a little slow, but who cares as you're chillin' by the water's edge, food and beverage was great for this type of an experience. The ultimate in a relaxing meal waterside.
google avatar

Eliza N.

Yelp
Go on open mic night on Thursdays for the music. Local talent will entertain you, the water view is wonderful, the food is Carribbean, there was a good crowd waiting in line to order. The portions are small to medium. The callaloo soup was not hot slightly warm and more like half a cup serving and was very good. We liked the plaintains and fried fish was o.k. wishing the cardboard boat was fuller. This is an eat outside casual place.
google avatar

Amanda K.

Yelp
We came here during the day and surprisingly were able to find a good table (it can get very busy). The view is great, the atmosphere very local, and there is plenty of room for kids to run wild a bit (if necessary). There are farm animals to watch and I got some great pictures of iguanas. The menu varies a bit from day to day and they do run out of certain food items towards the late afternoon. As a gluten free individual, I was able to get a burger (with no bun) - I know, I wasn't feeling very adventurous - this was just ok. I did very much enjoy the plantains we got as appetizers, and the sauce they provided for those.
google avatar

Yelp
Get the conch fritters! Seaside drinks and good food post hiking - rams head - and beach times. Service is excellent, also try lime in da coconut.

Drew F.

Yelp
I absolutely loved this place. We went for the Sunday Brunch. The food was awesome, the atmosphere is spectacular and the ambiance was breathtaking. This place is well worth the drive. There were 4 of us and we ordered French toast, eggs Benedict over sweet potato hash eggs, scrambled eggs and extra bacon. DELISH! There is live music and plenty of scenery to get your selfies on! ....... The cost: CHEAP Parking: very difficult and can cause confusion for people standing in line. The cons: If you aren't there when they open be prepared to wait and wait and wait! Even with all of the waiting, the staff was outstanding The pros: Once we finally sat down, the food came out very quickly and was cooked to almost perfection. The employees there were overwhelming as they kept asking if we wanted/needed anything else. If you are in St. John's, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you stop by and patronize the staff. They are excellent. Tell'm Drew sent ya!

Yelp
Delicious food and drink. The seafood roti, plantains, and painkillers made for a great evening along with the open mic music

Yelp
Phenomenal grouper reuben and oxtail stew alongside the most beautiful turquoise water you've ever seen. Don't miss Miss Lucy's!

Yelp
What a delight. There wasn't anything not to like about this local institution located far from the tourist hordes out past coral bay. We made a reservation for 6:30 and arrived a bit early and were given a choice table right next to the bay under a large tree. The area is lit with soft colored lights making for a beautiful setting as the light faded away with the sunset. The menu is limited yet overflowing with tempting choices with seafood being the primary focal point. We started with conch fritters (succulent round balls with a golden crust and a little bit of zing-if you like crab cakes you need to try these-yum!). We also got 4 johnny cakes, 1 for each of us-soft doughy pillows, similar to a beignet that you eat by first dipping in melted butter then in honey-so good. For entrees we enjoyed the avocado snapper with shrimp and crab and the coconut grouper, two of the most popular dishes on the menu and both excellent. They've got a great drink menu with very reasonable drink prices. Service is on the leisurely side but hey, you are sitting outside on a beautiful night by the sea. Just sip that tropical drink and chill. Highly recommended
google avatar

Yen-Chi L.

Yelp
Rustic beachside cafe with homemade made to order local food. We had conch fritters, the grouper Reuben, grilled cheese, Johnny cakes and the West Indies fish fry. The batter for the conch fritters and Johnny cakes was so light and scrumptious. Definitely out of the way, but I'd you happen to be by Salt Pond or Coral Bay, be sure to stop at this delicious spot.

Robin J.

Yelp
Used to love coming here for Sunday brunch and sad that this is no longer offered. Thursday night open mic had great entertainment but would not come again for the food.....disappointed. But love the setting, vibe of people who are there so worth the visit to mingle, not eat.

Maggie H.

Yelp
For a place where tourism is the livelihood of the locals, this restaurant and its service was extremely sub par. For one the food was mediocre for a high price, compared to other restaurants on St. John which may be expensive but worth the price. Secondly, our waitress was condescending, lazy, and not worth the automatic gratuity. She spoke to customers with a condescending tone and made smart alec remarks to a member of our lunch party. This waitress served all food and drinks at the end of the table and didn't bother to pass them around to us so we ended up having to scramble to get plates to every person. While we cannot say if this waitress reflects the attitude of the rest of the staff, our dining experience here was notably lacking in service and quality.

Yelp
Man, I so wish I could leave a better review for this place. But I can't. The server was such an asshole that she ruined our entire experience. in short, we honestly felt blatantly discriminated against and treated like shit the entire time. Our portions were very small, much smaller than all the other tables, we were not taken care of at all, we were ignored, and we were treated like shit. And that should never be allowed in general, but especially not on vacation, and ESPECIALLY not from one person of color to another. AND IN FRONT OF THEIR WIFE AND KIDS WHO ARE ALSO OF COLOR. I mean shit, I'm Puerto Rican and my wife is Jamaican. So first off, St John is very small. When you arrive in Cruise Bay, there are several restaurants and places to eat but they are expensive and they all end breakfast at 11:00 a.m. and many do not serve food between 11:00 and 12:00 as they switch to lunch. We took the 10:30 a.m. ferry and originally planned to eat at Uncle Joe's and Cruz Bay but when we got there they told us it would be an hour before they had any food ready as they had run out of gas and needed to go buy more before they could cook anything. so, we decided to drive spontaneously across the island to this restaurant Miss Lucy's because it would take us until noon to get there which is when they opened and it looked beautiful. We got there at 12:15 and it was completely empty except for a black mother with her two children. We sat ourselves, told the waitress how hungry we were, and asked for some menus. mind you, we had been up since very early so we could make that fairy and we had not eaten at all for the day yet. We were given a menu and we were given drinks and we gave our order and that's when everything started going sideways. Over the course of the next 10 minutes, the black woman and her children were fed and the restaurant filled up with white families. By around 12:45, every single table was full in the entire restaurant with white people, we had not been checked on again, we had not been given any food, our drinks were finished, and we were ignored entirely. then our food came, and it really wasn't impressive... Incredibly small portions, but beyond that, they just really weren't that tasty. They were well cooked but the seasoning was weak and the food was just okay. The rice and peas sucked and the coconut shrimp were just fried up shrimp. The fried plantain appetizer was four tiny little pieces of plantain with a little bit of sauce. We were never offered a second round of drinks. no one ever cleared any of our plates, and we watched as the waitress went to the black family and all the white families and repeatedly took care of them and repeatedly avoided eye contact with us and literally ignored us over and over and over again. after about 30 more minutes, I had to physically stop the waitress and ask her to give us the check so we could pay we had a very tight schedule and needed to make it to our next appointment so we could make the ferry ride back in a few hours. She ignored me. so I walked over to the bar instead there and asked for the check and tried to give her my credit card to pay to which she simply said no. then she stood there in front of me waiting for the cook to make food for two other tables which she put on two platters very slowly as the plates came out... Again I simply said, can you please run my credit card while you are doing that. This continued for a while during which time several other things happened that I don't want to go into which made it clear that the service there really sucked and that the people working there are not the nicest, and as a tourist or human being, there's really no point in accepting it because they really have no basis for acting like dick heads. Other than that, the location is simply very pretty (just like the rest of St John)... But don't go in the water as it's filled with sharp rocks and sea urchins. The food is fresh but it's not the best in terms of seasoning and the portions are horrible. The prices are the same as you'd find throughout St Thomas and St john, but again, the portions are smaller and the quality of the food is generally higher (meaning fresher) while The taste is lacking slightly. Quite a convoluted experience, capped off by a fucked up waitress. oh, and hella shoutouts to the daughter of the owner who is the cutest little girl, who maintained a small box fort in the back of the restaurant, and who played with my daughter the entire time. What a sweetheart. Lastly, the drinks suck... Don't order them... What I would do is drive to this restaurant, park my car in the parking lot, take a walk all around the peninsula and enjoy the view, use the bathroom, and then get back in my car and leave to go eat and relax someplace else... Probably Maho Bay. God bless you and your travels and enjoy the Virgin islands, but watch out for the salty damn residents and servers that exists seemingly everywhere.

Yelp
This used to be an anticipated experience in years past but no longer. The only nice thing I can say is that it's great to have a meal near the bay and it's funny to watch the chickens and goats mill around. That said, an hour to get a drink on a less than busy afternoon is unacceptable. Requests for water were also slow. I ordered the crunchy fish sandwich and found it flavorless (although the fries were quite good). The burger wasn't a favorite in our group. I can understand if the place is busy and understaffed, but our experience was quite the opposite. Staff were mostly lounging around. I saw a couple of groups end up walking out. Sadly, we'll spend our money elsewhere the next time we're on the island.

Yelp
Love love their location and their food. Worth renting a clunker and making your way to that part of the island. A view to lose yourself in. Food that makes you sigh with each bite!

Yelp
this little local eatery is an iconic part of st. john culture, and the food backs it up. they don't serve a large assortment of items, however what they make they excel in. i had the crunchy grouper sandwich and was surprised by the rich flavour of the fish and the remoulade sauce. there was also a fish stir fry special the day i visited, which was amazing. as with pretty much every restaurant and store in st. john, the items were a little pricey, but honestly the food and the ambience were well worth the price. while we ate, we saw wild iguanas outside the open air seating area and the owner's goats came by shortly later. our server and bartender mark was very friendly, efficient and knowledgeable about the history of miss lucy's and the coral bay area. the original miss lucy unfortunately passed away in 2007, however the restaurant is still family owned and operated and the love for cooking is very much still evident in the food. one thing i will recommend is that you look at the facebook page of the restaurant to confirm it is open, since hours can be a bit sporadic, and also to come with an open mind that this is a very casual eatery with spectacular local food.

Yelp
Stopped here by chance just seeing it as we drove by. They were busy on a Saturday afternoon, and after we got a table it took a while to get waited on, but the food was worth the wait. My wife had a delicious big fat 1/2 lb. burger which she shared with me (a couple of bites is all she'd let me have), and it was excellent! I had the chicken strips with boom sauce and fries, and they were alright, but not anything special. We're not drinkers, but the tropical drinks they were bring out to other people almost made us want to be! It was hot and they looked icy and refreshing. We were just glad to find a place to eat with all the Covid shutdowns. The atmosphere was good, and the view right on the water was very nice.

Yelp
Fantastic location, friendly service and good food. I had the crunchy grouper sandwich and it was honestly the best food I had on St John. I would return if I wasn't staying on Cruz Bay!! Highly recommend!!!!

Yelp
Had the Ruben and Crispy grouper sandwich. Was outstanding. Also had the banana, lime and the painkiller. All was great! Wonderful view. Johnny cakes melt in your mouth and the sandwiches stole the show!

Yelp
This place is unbelievable!! Incredible view, food and service!! A must see. We came here for a bite to eat after hiking Ram Head trail. Upon arrival we were greeted by a sweet little billy goat and some cute chicks running around. The service was incredibly fast and the food was nice and fresh. Overall amazing experience

Yelp
Great food! We had lunch there a couple times during our recent visit to St John's. My your adult son said Miss Lucy's burgers are the best on the island. Highly recommend Miss Lucy's

Yelp
Prepare to be bamboozled. The hours online and on there sign outside are incorrect. They were still serving drinks so we figured why not enjoy the view?We asked for the less expensive water (because we didn't want the plastic water bottle, the other option was in a cup) and the women behind the bar rolled her eyes, dipped her hip and with no words denied us... then over charged us. I mentioned the total and she just said the incorrect price again. How could you be that salty working with this beautiful view? Not worth it...go somewhere where the people aren't bitter.

Yelp
Delicious authentic Caribbean food perfect after a day of hiking or snorkeling. Definitely the best restaurant on the island as most of them pander largely to White Americans with boring hot dogs and burgers. Would have eaten at Miss Lucy's everyday had we discovered it sooner on our trip. Lots of cute farm animals around too.

Yelp
We were on St John for nine days and hit Miss Lucy's, twice. That alone should tell you something. We had journeyed all over the island hiking, swimming, and snorkeling. Everywhere we went, I saw paper signs on the telephone poles: Miss Lucy's Fish Fry, Miss Lucy's Fish Fry, Miss Lucy's Fish Fry....We're coming back from Saltpond Bay and there it is. Salty suits, cool breezes, and blue water....plus chickens, goats, and iguana. So, time to order, I guana fish fry. I order the West Indian Fish Fry...duh....so, like Randy Newman sang: "From the South Bay to the Valley From the West Side to the East Side Everybody's very happy 'Cause the sun is shining all the time Looks like another perfect day" In other words, I liked it. My bro-in-law and his wife got some kind of reuben fish sandwich. The grouper on my plate was ample and delicious, with plantains, veggies, rice and beans....all excellent. My dining companions wished they'd paid more attention to the signs. That was rectified on our second visit after doing the Reef Bay Trail...."Everybody's very happy" Don't usually like to biff during the daytime, but had to have a painkiller before leaving SJ.....got mine there. Very good!
