I ordered a tofu bahn mi. It is the best one I’ve had since moving from Oakland, California. I am used to eating from a very traditional point of view, and this is the first place to hit the nail on the head flavor wise. When I walked in, it was a very comforting family vibe to the spot. I knew then, it was going to be good. The staff was very kind hearted and happily greeted me as well as when I was departing. I now have found my favorite new spot, the sauce they added was also amazing. Going there was like a comforting hug.

Here we're always well served and very warmly welcomed by the manager, who makes sure that everything goes as smoothly as possible. It's cozy yet warm restaurant, ideal for a refreshing escape and the background French music throughout the meal was enjoyable. The food is fresh, tasty, and generously served. Demonstrating true culinary expertise — A lovely discovery to recommend in Houston! ♥️

Found this place after looking for a new pho spot in Houston. 🍲 When you first walk in, it has a cute decorated vibe. Felt like I was in Paris even though it’s Vietnamese 😅 the music also felt very French but was nice and able to converse without any issues. We started off with the Vietnamese egg rolls and they were tiny but all of the veggies on the plate combined made it taste like a mini ban mi. Was very flavorful. We both got the Vietnamese pho bowls with beef and the broth was so good even before adding the sauces and veggies. Big portion which I loved because most places up charge for diff prices. I got the jasmine tea and really soothed my throat which I was needing. Drank the whole thang. They ended the night by bringing us dessert for free. 💕 Graham cracker with Vietnamese yogurt which we had never had this combo before and LOVED it. So simplistic but a nice touch to our meal. Kinn (I hope I spelled that right 🥹) was such a pleasure. She was very attentive throughout our meal which we appreciated. Very welcoming establishment. Would definitely return. Spent $55 with $10 tip. So $45 for all 4 items which I wouldn’t say is too bad. You either want good service and good food or mediocre which this place is not.

Excellent authentic Vietnamese food! Highly recommend the pineapple soup- we've been looking for a place that serves it and this is the best we've tried. The flambe steak cubes and the shrimp lemongrass were also out of this world. The restaurant has a wonderful homey feel with local art on the wall. Miss Saigon herself came out and gave us from free homemade yogurt and cookies. When we commented how much we enjoyed it she came back with some yogurts for us to take home with us. If I could give this place 6 stars I would.

Stopped by this little cozy restaurant for lunch. I ordered the vermicelli with eggrolls and grilled pork, it was delicious! If I'm in the area again I would definitely be back!

Delicious, fresh Vietnamese plates, reasonable pricing, delightful decor, and friendly service. Great spot for dinner, but prepare for a bit of a wait. I highly recommend the sweet potato appetizer with ginger plum sauce, as well as their phenomenal banh mi sandwiches.

This place felt like a home. The service and people were very welcoming and kind, it had a very cozy feel which I deeply admired. The food was phenomenal and so was the Vietnamese yogurt. It was my first time trying and it was delicious. They were kind enough to gift my daughter some cookies and also took the time to make her kid-friendly chopsticks AND tried teaching her how to use them. It was a great experience and I 100% recommend this restaurant 💛

Had a great dine-in experience a few months back. The complimentary yogurt after the meal was a yummy surprise. The restaurant is casual and cozy; service is friendly. Tonight, I got take-out shrimp spring rolls and beef pho. Everything was packaged securely, however, the pho’s portion was less than when I dined in. There were plenty of noodles, but the broth container was not filled all the way to the top, and there was not enough beef. Also disappointed that there was no yogurt included in my to-go order. Overall, 5/5, it’s a very authentic family owned and operated Vietnamese restaurant.

The Museum District is one of the few areas of Houston that doesn't have a significant Vietnamese presence, which is what makes Miss Saigon Cafe stand out as one of the only pho options. The vibe is homey and small with lovely service to boot, but unfortunately that's where the appeal ends. The food was a big bust for my group and I. I can't stress it enough: I love the family that runs this place. The grandma is incredibly friendly and extremely kind to us. We loved the complimentary sour yogurt and gesture with the grapes. The rest of the wait staff was fairly attentive, despite being extremely slow with everything from food to getting the check to even filling the our waters. Still, good service is one of the most critical elements of a business and thus, 3 stars. The vibe can be described as quaint but comfy. The seating arrangements are small enough for a casual date night in the neighborhood, but good enough for mini groups to feast as well. The mural on the wall is an interesting decor choice and I haven't seen a large crowd here apart from lunchgoers in the area. That's where the buck stops sadly. My pho dac biet was a disappointment with broth as dark as coffee and meat that was tough from being overcooked. I appreciated the fresh herb condiments but they didn't save the bowl. Pho ga was also a disaster with the same dark broth and chunks of chicken breast. Bun thit nuong was not much better. The pork was very underwhelming and the noodles were sparse. I think the cha gio were marginally better but I'm not even sure they're made in house. Banh xeo was easily the most disappointing since it was semi-soggy and the stuffing was also minimal. We didn't even apply the fish sauce and it was already falling apart. I realize that there's an audience for everyone, but I'm clearly not the target demo in this scenario. I may come back but not for a very long time.

Very nice and attentive service, and ambiance inside is nice; feels like it used to be an Italian restaurant. The food is just OK; the calamari was a bit tough and didn't have much seasoning, and the noodles in the pho were a little soft as if they had been sitting in the broth for a bit too long. I also wish they gave a bit more meat. The broth was very flavorful though. The complimentary yogurt and crackers were a nice touch for dessert.

Such a cute hidden gem. Service was amazing and food came out very quick. Seems like a family owned restaurant and feels very homey. I got to go Thai tea and Vietnamese egg rolls. DELICIOUS 1 order came with 5 small fried to perfection crispy rolls. I loved that it came with a bag of veggies to wrap around lettuce cucumbers spiraled carrots mint etc. SOOOO good I will be back THANK YOU

Could not have had a better experience. The food was incredible and the service just as good. I came in for lunch and had quite possibly the best bahn mi I've ever had. This place deserves to be recognized!

Delivery only. A++ on how well they packed and protected the food. They put cling wrap on multiple items to prevent spillage and tampering (possibly). My sweet cousin sent me some food (she lives in FL) and randomly came across this spot. She ordered a few items and 2 drinks. Chicken noodle soup - this came hot in temperature and full of mushrooms, chicken and thin glass noodles. The soup was not overwhelmingly seasoned. Lots of chicken pieces and mushrooms. There was a far amount of noodles as well. Papaya salad - this wasn't my taste at all, I think my cousin thought it would be similar to the Laos Papaya salad but nope. It was edible but the flavoring and style wasn't for me. Cha gio - these were crispy but for me bland and the nuoc nam didn't have enough flavor for me Thai ice tea - nice and cold Orange juice (fresh squeezed) - the cup was only half full so highly disappointed but the juice was fresh

If you're looking for authentic Vietnamese food-- this is NOT IT. My husband and I have been to multiple Vietnamese restaurants in the Bay Area California (San Francisco & Daly City) and a couple of places here in Houston, so we know the flavors and dishes well. We went here today because my husband was craving for some Vietnamese pho. We decided to try it. It's a small and simple little restaurant. We sat wherever we wanted. Not very busy or packed. As we were flipping through the menu-- we were already disappointed. They didn't have many selections, as we're usually used to. Very limited. The little appetizer plates they gave us were a little greasy and dirty. You can see where it was picked it up. Side note: my husband really wanted pho. There was only ONE pho option (and you can choose your proteins) BUT they didn't have the tripe, and other ingredients that my husband loves in authentic pho. So he didn't get it. We also asked for regular sweet chili sauce (for the calamari because we didn't like their sauce)-- which ALL Vietnamese restaurants usually have-- they didn't have it. It took 15-20 mins after we ordered our food. We ordered: *Crispy Calamari Rate 2/10 - only because it was crispy and came out good temperature. Wasn't seasoned well and not the flavors I was looking for *Grilled Beef w/ Rice (instead of vermicelli noodles)-- no veggies Rate 1/10 warm-cold dish served, small portion for their pricing and the flavor wasn't what I was expecting *Grilled Pork w/ Rice (instead of vermicelli noodles)--no veggies Rate 1/10 warm-cold dish served, small portion for their pricing and the flavor wasn't what I was expecting *combo Beef and Pork w/ Rice (they ran out of vermicelli) my husband was pretty disappointed about them not having vermicelli noodles. Personally, I think their pricing doesn't match the food portions, quality and flavors. The lady gave us some sandwiches w/ some creamy stuff on the side and apologized for them running out of vermicelli. That was sweet of her. We were so disappointed and just wanted to get out of there. Cravings not satisfied and we're not going back here again.

Honest review, it's a little hole in the wall place with 10 tables, decor is so so but it is a hole in the wall. Service was good food came out quickly. I had the Thai tea $4.95 which great and the crepe $21.95 enough for 2 average eaters, it was also good. $29.12. I'd say it's a Monday Tuesday place but def not Friday or Saturday Overall it was a good experience

the food is ALWAYS good love the pho there and have been there multiple times with my partner and they fell in love with pho there. the spring rolls are HUGE and delicious and they have the BEST thai tea. the vermicelli always eats and i never feel like i have gummy meat. the service is spot on all the time. i love the sweet grandma and the staff is always so attentive and considerate. i love when they give complimentary dessert at the end it's very delicious and considerate. the ambiance is quiet and makes the perfect spot for dates or just to relax on a lunch break with how peaceful it is. overall love the place and i go all the time with my partner or friends.

Such a cute place to go to and feels like a hole in the wall restaurant thats such a gem. Once my friend and I entered, I believe the owner greeted us and I was able to speak Vietnamese with her. When I asked for recommendations she was able to narrow down a few in each section and we ended up picking 2 of them. The Thai Tea was sooo yummy. It was a good ratio of dairy to tea. We got the spicy lemongrass to share and it was such a good portion! The crispy lemongrass on the rice was not too overpowering and a great crunch to the meal. Actually good for 2-3 people. Getting an extra serving of rice was extra though.

This is a very good, family run, small business. The dishes are interesting and delicious. The owners and staff are very welcoming, kind, and attentive. The courtesy yogurt at the end of our meal is delicious and a very nice way to end our dining experience. My husband and I enjoy dining here and bringing a couple of our friends w/us.

What a great find! Wanted to try something new and found this place online. Cute place and service was really good too. As someone else had mentioned, the rolls are really big and filling. In addition to the rolls, we ordered the beef pho and vermicelli bowl. Both were flavorful, fresh and filling. We are looking forward to trying more dishes from the menu.

Exquisite in every sensory experience....HEAVEN on a plate of food. The server was quick & always on pointe. A joy to dine there tonight. Although I've been coming here for 8 years, the sweet owner gets better & better. A real magical treat given she's gracious perfection. a true fan. Mark B Music was divine. Boyfriend and I are HUGE fans of Vietnamese food. We have a few favorite spots, but they are a bit of a drive. We live close to Miss Saigon, and decided to give it a try. I'm a banh mi girl, and he's a pho guy. Started with the spring rolls, each got our entree. We enjoyed the food and agreed that it tasted super natural and flavorful! Lots of sauce options. The owner approached us and shared that the broth has no MSG which was surprising based on how great it was. She was so sweet and kept checking in, seemed to really take pride in the food and was happy we were enjoying it. We were craving something sweet and the staff brought us complimentary Viet Yogurt, which was INSANELY GOOD! Owner came back over with a little bag with ice and extra yogurts after she noticed how fast we destroyed them. Such a small, personal place. I really feel like we were invited to her home and transported out of Houston for an hour! We love you Miss Saigon!

Decent place.very empty due to covid we were the only customers there. They gave us amazing service and free dessert (likely due to that). Wasn't the best pho I have had in town. But good enough seeing this isn't a pho specialty house. Papaya salad was good!

Stopped into this establishment for lunch and I was pleasantly surprised. I'm always in the area and love Asian cuisine but have never visited and that will change. The service was spectacular and the food was even better. The food was so fresh and delicious and we were soo full afterwards. Not pictured are egg rolls summer rolls that we literally inhaled. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

Reliably good fare but was dismayed that the Bun Thit Nuong was served cold. Never had it served with even the pork being cold, I know that the vermicelli is served cold. Maybe I'm just not in the know.

Stopped in because I was craving banh xeo (which I can only describe as a crispy egg crepe with shrimp, bean sprouts, and pork). I've never tried banh xeo from a restaurant, so I was bracing myself for disappointment. I was pleasantly surprised because this was not the case! It was perfectly crispy and they didn't skimp on any ingredients. We also got the summer roll and Vietnamese coffee, which they had brew in a phin in front of us. Authentic food! Service was quick as well! I will be back next time my cravings come, and I am too lazy to cook myself. The prices are a bit steep, but my friend and I were stuffed from just an appetizer and one entree.

This place is a jewel the ambience, The Service and the food are outstanding!! Hands down when I return to Houston I will be back again. Well done!

At Miss Saigon, the food is made with love. There's something about it, it's cooked with so much care. The sauces are delicious, especially the beef with ginger and the stir fry with tofu. I adore this place. The owner is always there and so lovely, and the staff is always friendly and considerate.

I wanted to like my selection but it just may be a personal preference. First time here and despite the prices and no lunch menu, i opted for this establishment because of the reviews. Unfortunately, I could not finish the ginger chicken...ginger was so strong, it tasted medicinal and the chicken was over cooked dry chicken breast . What hurt more is the fact that I just threw away a $30 meal for lunch. Stilli have to figure out what to do for dinner.

The service is absolutely superb and the food is flavorful and fairly priced! Definitely a staple in Montrose and has been here for so many years. Worth your time and money! Every time I visit, the owner greets me and takes excellent care of me. The inside is so clean and not loud at all.

AWEFUL just awful! Ordered chicken Pho - I just paid 20 dollars via Uber eats for broth and noodles. I paid extra for beef and it's not enough for a child! Don't order here. Also they didn't give utensils and the broth tastes like water

This is a small quaint Vietnamese restaurant that relocated from the Rice Village to Montrose. It is more Vietnamese Cuisine than Vietnamese food. They have several dishes beyond the standard pho, spring rolls, and egg rolls. I had the spicy lemongrass tofu which was very tasty. We also ordered the curry chicken which was on point too. We started with the shrimp and pork spring rolls. All the portions were much larger and we both had left overs to bring home. The service is very friendly and prompt. They kept our waters topped of and packed and labeled our left overs. They also deliver which is a note to self.....

Came here and tried the grilled pork Bahn Mi. It was really good and I definitely recommend this place. The staff was excellent. Will be back !!!

My husband and I came here late one night. We've always noticed it driving by and have a heart for small, hole-in-the-wall restaurants. (They usually have the best service and food). We ordered the banh mi and pho and both were excellent. They didn't skimp out on the the filling for the banh mi like some places do and pho was on par with some of our other favorite places in the city. The owner was present and our waiter was very kind! They even gave us complimentary dessert! Highly recommend going here if you're ever in the neighborhood.

My family and I had a nice lunch on the Monday before Thanksgiving. The food was delicious and the service was fantastic. Everything was made fresh and customized. The lovely owner came out and spoke to us to make sure we were happy and content. She also gave us a complimentary Vietnamese sweet yogurt. I wished I lived nearer in town. I'd go there more often. You won't regret having a nice meal here.

A hidden gem among the trees of Montrose/Museum District... a must see and taste! My favorite the caramelized onion with ginger chicken... omg !!!! Also call ahead to see if they have chicken soup, you'll never eat Campbell's again! Easily 5 stars! Never had anything that wasn't perfection! Be sure to say hello to Mom!

Great service , always attentive but the pho had no flavor 1out of 10 the grilled pork spring rolls were okay but 2 for 10 ? Solid 6 out of 10 , this place gave me cheap vibes as they tried to make it fancy/aesthetic no napkins on tables , hoisin sauce & sriracha sauce were brought out in a little container chopsticks were plastic and made it hard to eat the noodles .

This is a family-run Vietnamese joint that used to be in Rice Village. The new location has MUCH easier parking, and just as much charm. I eat here probably once a week or so. My favorites include the pork spring rolls which have a great flavor! I also usually order the fried shrimp appetizer because it is also a standout on that part of their menu. You can't beat the traditional fare like the vermicelli bowls or the pho! But definitely explore the curries and the entrees, because everything is very well presented and tasty. The family that owns this spot are adorable, and they make you feel at home. Even if you just come once or twice they make you feel part of their clan. You will never meet sweeter people, and the service is usually great. I highly recommend this restaurant as one of the best in the area.

I've been to Miss Saigon before when it was located in Rice Village. I guess they moved to the Montrose/Museum District cause I saw it come up on my UberEats app from work. I placed an order for lunch one day cause of the cheap delivery fee (though not cheap after the service fee, delivery fee, tax and tip - but this isn't the restaurant's fault). I always thought Miss Saigon was overpriced for what they serve, but more so that it was very Americanized and the portions are very small. I ordered the pork/shrimp spring rolls - it came with 2 rolls per order for $6.95. Usually these go for around $4.95 at any hole-in-the-wall Vietnamese place. They tasted the same and came with a lot of peanut sauce. I also ordered the Grilled Beef and Eggrolls Vermicelli bowl. The UberEats app must have this wrong cause it was so confusing to navigate. You have an option for 2 meats vermicelli but then won't let you add it to the cart unless you click the rice option. WTF?! I wanted a vermicelli bowl and ended up with grilled beef and eggrolls with a scoop of rice - no other options otherwise. Ok kink in UberEats.. but the chargrilled beef was bland, and overcooked, and dry.. not good, even with the fishsauce poured over it. The eggrolls were alright - nothing to rave about but as a part of my 2 meat dish option, you only get 1 eggroll! Hmmppph! $2 extra for 2 meats too! Overall, it was ok - better than my cafeteria lunch but not good enough I would order from here again or return to the restaurant when there are so many other delicious Vietnamese options all around town! I ended up paying almost $26 for 2 springrolls and a rice bowl with 1 eggroll and a few pieces of chargrilled beef. Totally not worth it for the price.

This place is amazing! They have delicious food and treat you like family! So friendly and nice people. My first Vietnamese food experience and it was wonderful! Eggs rolls were crunchy, fabulous taste with lettuce, Dicon radish, carrots, cucumbers, basil and mint leaves with fish sauce for dipping. We had Bahn mi ( a Vietnamese sub) with smoked pork on French roll with veggies. Beautiful sandwich with interesting flavors. They brought us out three grilled shrimp as a treat (my two hosts are regulars) as well as house made yogurt with dried apricots. Both very refreshing and enjoyed. The service is impeccable and decor beautiful. I'll be back when next in Houston. Definitely a place to visit!

I had a craving for lemongrass chicken and so I come here. It doesn't disappoint. I would highly recommend ordering this. And if the spicy part scares you, then just ask for no spice and it's just all lemongrass goodness! Their portion size is generous and good for about 1.5 meals. I decided to be healthy and leave some for leftovers. They nicely boxed it in the box and saran wrapped it too, so it wouldn't leak! :) Service was good and attentive on a Saturday evening. Prices may be a little steep for Asian food but it is rice village, so I feel like they need to pay their rent. Portions are generous though so worth it to me.

Last night we visited Miss Saigon Vietnamese Cafe. This venue is tucked away in a quiet strip center in the Montrose district. We very much enjoyed the delicious food. As an appetizer we had the charcoal grilled pork spring rolls, bursting with flavors and perfect texture representative of a freshly made roll. I had the mixed vegetables stir fry and added chicken. Excellent flavor profile and all fresh ingredients. My dining companion had the caramelized ginger chicken and braised bok choy Equally delicious. The place is super clean and the staff is attentive without been overbearing and let us enjoy our dinner. This is a place we will be returning to in the near future.

I had the grilled shrimp, beef and chicken. It was wonderful especially the shrimp. I also had a glass of ginger, lemon, tea because I heard someone else order it. Very refreshing and sweet. Its not fancy but adequate and very relaxing. I will be back.

Before coming to the restaurant I was in the everlasting search for an authentic tasting Vietnamese restaurant. I was previously going to a restaurant in mid town and it was good enough to visit once a month, which didn't make me crazy about pho. I go to St. Thomas University 3 blocks away so during my lunch hour I searched restaurants in walking distance, took my trip and I come here at least 2 times a week now! Mama and her daughter are always there greeting and taking care of guests. The service is always on point, you never have to ask for more tea, water, napkins, this might seem like little things but trust me it makes the experience more enjoyable. The atmosphere is relaxing, dare I say peaceful. Tastefully decorated with local artist paintings song the walls. The music is soothing, doesn't over power a conversation. Now the FOOD. Don't even get me started, best pho I have ever had hands down. Always fresh! I usually get the shrimp and beef pho. A little pricey but for the portions I'm not complaining at all. The taste is literally not like any other, so good I went from eating pho once and a while to adding it to my weekly routine. Desert in this place deserves a paragraph on its own as well. Banana and coconut bread pudding is a MUST if the pho wasn't fulfilling enough (which it is) Fluffy like a cloud and it's a sweet taste that leaves you wanting more but you can eat any more because the pho was big and the desert was big and now you would like to nap. How did I forget the spring rolls! The introduction to your wonderful experience. 10/10 on the pork spring rolls. Perfect amount of mint that compliments the noodles, pork and bean sprouts. I hope this helped.

Spring rolls were yummy, pho was pretty good, and the meat of the beef banh mi was sooooo scrumptious, but the pieces were too large to chew into, and the veggies on it were over-seasoned, and it definitely could've gone without it. Staff was great, good parking.

What a wonderful meal, perfect service and they even had free masks available. We had the grilled pork spring rolls, stuffed crepe and vermicelli with beef. Everything was fresh and delicious. The wait staff was so nice and helpful. Cannot wait to return. Highly recommend this place.

Coming from someone from Los Angeles with so many good choices and moving here to Houston Montrose Midtown area, I was struggling to find a local vietnamese food that didn't require a long drive to the west side and had good authentic taste. After trying pretty much everything in the area and overlooking this establishment, I finally decided to give this place a try. I am glad I finally did. Keep it short and sweet, if you want good authentic Vietnamese food in the area, and decor or price isn't an issue, come here.

This is one of my favorite places to get Vietnamese food. The vermicelli is to die for. I will be coming back again and again. Plus the staff is super friendly and are great hosts.

Continues to serve excellent Vietnamese specialties. Quiet, peaceful atmosphere. Very cordial service. The Chicken Cabbage salad is wonderful for lunch or for dinner. The pork spring rolls are the best in town. The Pho is truly delicious. You cannot go wrong here for the location and the prices. Great little gem hidden away in Montrose.

I always wanted to try this place. Went tonight. It was really good. Excellent. I ordered the filet steak cubes with wine and caramelized onions. It was a big portion and Quality meat. Sometimes you get low quality meat. It was delicious and very cheap for what they served. It was a great day Quality place I think.

Tucked neatly into a corner of a long shopping center in the heart of Montrose is this non-de script restaurant that's been there for years. Tonight was our debut to the most intense flavors and umami experience that we've experienced in a long time. We ordered the Vietnamese Egg rolls, and between the fresh and hot delivery, and being accessorized with the standard fare of crisp and tasty veggies, these jewels evoked the entire spectrum of great taste. They were really good! Our expectations of a great meal were accelerated by the Caramelized Ginger Chicken, in which every bite was as flavorful as the last. Not to be outdone by the food, the service was like being with family! The restaurant is clean, organized and welcoming. We'll be back, definitely!!!!!!!

This will be my favorite Vietnamese place to eat. Great place to try if your in the Rice Village, West University, and Medical Center. The hospitality from the staff makes you feel like a regular. Try the flambé steak cubes.
