When I saw this gem pop up out of thin air overnight on Yelp when I was searching for some new haunts to eat at out here in HB, of course my taste buds could not wait to try this place ASAP! Nestled in a perfect corner spot in a cozy hidden shopping mall, Chef Mark Evans and his partner created this much needed Caribbean hideaway with amazing food, fun atmosphere, fantastic staff and the warmest welcoming high energy vibe with fantastic music to boot. We ordered to go this time... The curry chicken :fall off the bone greatness with the most perfectly seasoned curry that enveloped the meat and not drowned it. The curry goat :has some deep deep flavor and was so tender and not chewy in the least bit. The stewed oxtails: were also braised to melty perfection. Loved that the rice and peas #1 had tons of flavor and wasn't just cooked in water and some salt, #2 the peas were not the usually red kidney beans that is normally used, but pigeon peas which I love more and balanced the rice perfectly. The callaloo is not mushy and the cabbage salad is addictive! Ordered the bun & cheese and my 4 yo devoured it. I really liked the addition of the guava paste but the only thing I ask is that they up the cheese slice, I'm used to a THICK slab of cheese between the delicious fruit cake like slices of bun and this one came with a super thin slice of cheese that literally just melted into the guava paste. Cannot wait to join Chef Mark and his staff and dine there next time very very soon! So happy to have them as part of my rotation of restaurant and take out here! Eat local!

Vibes were Wicked at Miss Shanty last night, delicious and authentically prepared Jamaican food, rockers music and tasteful decor to transform you to the island itself! The Hamptons was lit and all praises go to the owner of Miss Shanty’s who is the mastermind behind it all! Take a trip out to give him a checks and you will not be disappointed. Just a little over an hour out of the city, take the trip you will be so glad you did! #bigupblackbusinessesinthehamptons

Delicious authentic Jamaican food, especially the curry chicken! Great vibes- cool reggae music, fun cheerful atmosphere. The owner, Marc makes sure everyone is having a great time. Highly recommend!

Excellent veggie patties and Coco bread. Could do more with their scotch bonnet sauce. Plantain fries are fresh and the mango salsa on point

The ONLY authentic Jamaican restaurant in the Hamptons. Spicy Jerk Chicken, Jamaican soda, beer and other refreshments. Indoor and outdoor seating available. This is the place!

The food here is authentic Jamaican food with a twist. I had the cilantro lime shrimp roti. It was soooo damn good and my mouth is watering now just thinking about it . It was cilantro lime shrimp and rice wrapped in a crepe, and drizzled with a cilantro lime cream sauce. The space is intimate and it feels like you're eating a home cooked meal at your family's home in the islands. The colorful decor, dancehall tunes and positive vibes created the perfect atmosphere. There is also outdoor patio seating. Chef Marcus was the perfect host. He made my dining experience so fun and festive! If you're looking for good Jamaican food and a fun island vibe in the Hamptons - Miss Shanty's is the spot!

Truth; I've never eaten here but it sounds great and will definitely visit soon. My question is, who is this horrible Mayor Elizabeth A ? She must be the most miserable animal on the planet. Every review of hers is a one star blurb of unpleasantness. I think she may need medication.

My wife and I had the since pleasure to grab some take out at Miss Shanty, during last weekend. It is a true taste of Jamaican and carribean cuisine. From the array of patties ( beef, chicken, vegetable ) .To the ackee, and salt-fish, to coconut lime shrimp, to the jerk wings. Everything was flavorful, and well presented. Behind all of this is the owner Mark who has a wealth of knowledge. We spoke of history, food, travel, music. He and is warm and extremely personable. We will be making our way back out to Hampton Bays, very soon, and our first stop will Miss Shanty.

This place is amazing! Such a nice location and super welcoming staff- open, airy, yet cozy... and cute little deck. The sauces, and anything you order- you can't go wrong! Love the spices on the food- just delish! Recommend the wings and half a hen entree ... awesome. Hampton Bays needed a place like this!

The food was horrible and plus it was to the food way to salty if you have high blood be careful. The service very poor and location was hard to find

A quaint eatery in the Hampton Bays with the authenticity of a true Jamaican restaurant experience. The music, the food, the culture and the company are all reminiscent of the little island. The Jerk wings are amazing and the curry dishes are yummy. It's worth the ride after a day at the beach!!!

Absolutely fantastic! The food was packed with flavor and the service was top notch. The wings were out of this world. Can't wait to go back.

Breezy, laid-back, unpretentious but high quality Caribbean joint with reggae on the sound system, a cheerful, colorful decor and delicious food well-executed by an experienced (and friendly) chef who used to run Les Deux Lapins in the West Village. I had the shrimp in coconut milk, the meat patties, the jerk wings, roast duck, roast chicken--all really really delicious. It's BYOB for now, so you can sit out on the porch and enjoy a very economical and delicious meal that feels like you are somewhere else thousands of miles from the Hamptons. Maybe just what the world needs right now?
