"Homemade Patties at Sonia's Despite the industrialized patty chain stores across Jamaica, the love for handmade patties continues in some parts of the island. Miss Sonia's entrée-size, crusty patties are served ata small roadside restaurant across from the beach in Negril. She offers traditionalfillings like beef or callaloo, as well asothers like lobster and conch that she introduced at the suggestion of her numerous return visitors to Jamaica . When you get your order, be sure to shakeon some ofthe secret spicy sauce—Miss Soniawon't tell you what's in it—and then dig in."

This is a must while in Negril. If you are a patty fan there is no better on the island. I love the typical patty you find but these are homemade, made to order and absolutely delicious. The crust has the wow factor but the fillings are also scrumptious.

Chef Harry is amazing! We love the food and service here so much, we went back serval times! The patties were delicious, never had such wonderful patties before. Curry king fish was so good! Flavours are vibrant and fresh, generous portion sizes and chill atmosphere. We also got curry shrimp and it’s the best thing I’ve eaten in Jamaica!! His jerk sauce is the ultimate chef’s kiss! Must try!! 10/10 for food, service and vibes!

The best pattie I’ve ever had in my entire life. Not only are these delicious and made to order but there are so many options. If you are used to just the beef and curry chicken pattie options, be prepared for indecisions because there were over ten different varieties offered on the day I went. The first time I had the cake and salt fish. The second time I had the callaloo. But what’s incredible, is the size of these things. It truly is a whole handheld meal. The service was impeccable and Miss Sonia is still there along with her grandson Chef Harry who is running the restaurant now and providing impeccable service. Do yourself a favor and make it to Miss Sonia’s famous patties!

We were staying at the Sandal's Resort Negril, a couple miles away from Miss Sonia's restaurant. Everyone kept saying "If you visit Jamaica, you HAVE to try a meat patty". The Sandals did not have them and I contacted the owner at Miss Sonia's through Whatsapp. He offered many options and we decided on the Chicken and the Beef. We were only interested in what I call a "snacker". This means we had dinner plans already, but would want a "snacker" later in the evening once our food was settled. We definitely wanted to try this. He messaged me at around 8:30p and said they were closing for the night, but he would be happy to make for us and deliver to our hotel. That's exactly what he did!! Amazing communication, amazing service and amazing food! They were so hot, I had to let them cool down before we my wife and I could eat them. Highly recommend. He said this was his grandmother's recipe they have been using for over 40 years. Thank you again for everything.

Great vibes from this cute little place, amazing owner, fantastic food. The owner is so passionate about patties, he said these are the best patties on the island and having been through like 5 different spots, I actually completely agree. Chicken and cheese Pattie was great but oddly enough the veggie one was probably the best Pattie I’ve ever had, period. He stuffs them up completely, isn’t stingy about it at all. And food is extremely well priced, basically local prices. Make sure you take cash though, no card. Each Pattie is about 800 JMD on average. Can’t recommend this place enough, already dreaming of the time I get back.

This is a family owned restaurant that serves a variety of Jamaican dishes including a large selection of vegetarian options that are reasonably priced. I had the Ital stew and it was delicious. My meal was prepared to order and was hearty and well seasoned. The owner/chef/server was courteous and professional. The house made pepper sauce was a great addition. There was ample parking just outside the restaurant. I would definitely dine here again.

This is such a great little family-run restaurant! Everything they make is cooked with love, and seasoned to absolute perfection. The staff are all incredibly friendly and welcoming ❤️ Over the course of several visits, we tried 6 different dishes and everything was fantastic. Highly recommend the fried chicken. It just might be the best we've ever had!! We also had the conch, oxtail, stew beef, rasta pasta and jerk chicken - all of which were phenomenal. Harry's homemade jerk sauce is absolutely deeee-lish. You can even buy it bottled to take with you for when you feel like a taste of Jamaica at home. Definitely worth stopping in at this place if you're in Negril. You won't regret it!

Amazing patties! I had a lobster one and my hubby had a crab one. Both were excellent and a meal by itself! The special sauce was soooo good! Harry is such a good chef with the way the patties were made.
