Loved the healthy meals while here in Melbourne. I was surprised at the big sizes which is excellent when ordering healthy food filled with lots of nutrients. One of the best takeaways I've had. I also loved the beef buns too and the tapioca coconut desert was unusual yet super tasty. I thoroughly recommend Misschu if you're wanting to try healthy, hearty, nutritional meals if you're a tourist in Melbourne (or local).

Google
I went all the way from Elwood purely & merely to have lunch from them. I love & adore their salmon meal. As this was bit over due review I truly can’t remember the name of the dish off hand!! It was heaven on earth. So delicious. Mouth watering!! They did a brilliant job & I enjoyed every bit of it!! We got home delivered to on another day!! Superb food Thanking you Anoma👍🏾🎈🙂

Google
5 stars for this restaurant!! Always delivers high quality food. Bar buns, spring rolls and slaw salad are the best dishes 😍 and don’t forget to order the misschu green sauce too!!

Google
Delicious food, served fast through the QR ordering system, making it a great destination for a work lunch. Ensure you book ahead as they're usually busy. Relaxing indoor/outdoor vibes due to the ceiling glazing. Large menu range for both food and beverages.

The chicken curry was honestly far too spicy for me and it was not remotely described as such so unfortunately I didn’t enjoy it and wouldn’t order again

Google
Misschu was such a vibe! ✨ From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt fresh, fun, and full of flavour. The place was buzzing — it’s clearly a local favourite — so I’d definitely recommend booking ahead. Every dish was a hit — from the crispy spring rolls wrapped in fresh herbs, to the juicy dumplings, and those bao buns? Incredible. Soft, fluffy, and filled to perfection. You can really tell they care about both the food and the experience. So glad we found this gem — already planning our next visit! 🥢💛

Google
my friend and i came here for dinner and we had an absolutely lovely meal. i thoroughly enjoyed my lemongrass beef vermicelli salad (i saw it recommended and i’d definitely recommend it too!!) and the chicken in the bao was nice and moist. servers were friendly and attentive; one double-checked with my friend that she meant to order two drinks just to be sure - so to me at least it seems they take on feedback, judging by the very average stars/reviews i saw before going (as service was mostly what garnered their average rating). if this is what i can expect from a “3.6 star” place, it’ll have me coming back no questions asked.

Google
Could’ve been 5 stars easily, I hope they improve with this feedback. I ordered the Honey Iced Tea and they charged me for the Milk Ice Tea instead and when I mentioned the order was wrong the staff insisted that’s what I said. That wouldn’t have been what I said because I don’t order milk, ever 😬 I’ve ordered Chicken Curry with Rice Noodles for takeaway dinner and it was quite a refreshing taste. They give you lettuce and mints in a separate bag so you can add them yourself, as well as the sauce in a separate container. The lettuce wasn’t fresh sadly. I’ve also ordered the Beef & Kimchi spring rolls which was overpriced. Overall, an okay dinner but the experienced could be so much better.

Yelp
Misschu is a really good Vietnamese place with a slight twist to it. The restaurant looks really cool, with rice bowls used as lamps hanging from the ceiling and being able to take a peek into the kitchen. The menu is amazing offering a lot of yumminess. You get a piece of paper and cross of whatever you like on it - easy way to order. The menu points out the gf and vegan options too. The waitress was amazing and helped us out with what to pick because we were so overwhelmed with the choice. We settled for rice paper rolls with avocado omlettes (omg), deep fried spring rolls (yum), papaya salad (OMFG best thing ever) and salmon with quinoa rice (hmmm). Needless to say the food has a twist to it and it is not a fine dining place. So you may sit tight and you may stink of fried food, but it will be damn worth it.

Yelp
I have to start with: gluten free friendly!!! Yes, because I get to eat deep fried spring rolls that are freaking delicious and that is rare for GF peeps. Now a delicious vegetarian curry has been delivered to me. And they have adult beverages that are creative. This place makes me smile. I'll be back....

Yelp
You only need to visit Miss Chu on Exhibition street to realise that Melbourne loves her flavourful, fresh and fast dishes. It's jammed almost day and night, so with a new venue comes more seating and a dedicated bar to pump out those coconut crushes that everyone loves, along with a selection of special cocktails. A smart move from Miss Chu, though I'd question the sensibility of having the kitchen of the new store so close to the front which seems to create a bottleneck of people in and out. Oh, and I'm so confused about the service system here - sometimes I have to order at one of the counters and other times at my table. Sometimes I pay before my meal and other times after which results in unpleasantly getting caught up in that bottle neck at the door! Staff sometimes seem just as confused as I am, the floor layout clearly slowing down service and movement when they're delivering dishes. Confusion aside, the menu is terrific and the food is as good as ever. I love that the crepes are a permanent feature here - please try the prawn and ginger sometime and don't bother trying to eat it with chopsticks as you need a spoon to enjoy all the juices in the bottom of the bowl. I love that you can order ahead with the app and swing in for some rice paper rolls when on the run.

Yelp
Misschu is such a great spot to grab dinner when you want something cheap(ish), quick and most importantly, delicious! The BBQ pork buns are a must, but to be honest you can't really go wrong with the menu. Grab your tiny pencil and menu paper and just order whatever you feel like! It's all really great. Just remember, sharing is caring, and having willing friends to share a bunch of items with you is your best bet here!

Yelp
Hip and yummy! This place would go like gangbusters in Los Angeles with the old school tunes, cute waitstaff and killing fusion dishes. Especially loved the Salmon Spring Rolls!

Yelp
Terrible experience with delivery. The lid wasn't placed properly on the broth, so it went through the whole order. Everything ruined. Poor delivery guy has broth seeping through onto his bike, his bag has 10cm of broth. I rang the restaurant, the person I spoke to was very rude, blaming the delivery guy. Not sure how, seeing as the paper bag had been stapled shut. Mistakes happen, but based on how rude, the person I spoke to was and his 'No, I don't care, he must have ridden roughly' (?) attitude, I won't order from here again. Plenty more Vietnamese places in this city.

Yelp
Sample many things. I tossed half the food but was able to try 4 different things without feeling stuffed. The staff was mostly new so I had to have a seasoned member tell me what was popular... Ended up doing some egg spring rolls to start and was impressed. The lemon grass beef was ok but I think w rice it would be better - plus last one I had was in Vietnam so I was expecting much. All said great atmosphere and pretty good service (they happened to be training 3 new people tonight). Would def come back all things considered - great for the solo traveler as well.

Yelp
I'm a little conflicted on this one; It's a great concept, with interior design to the brim, and a cute little pop open kitchen style thing, but it is Miss Chu's success that is also its downfall. Screamingly busy, its like a competition for a seat and so-forth. It really is like an out-post; small, somewhat cramped and busy, fitting as much in as popular. I really want the pho now, I was going to try it, but opted out in favor of trying a bunch of dishes with a dining companion. Good company in good keeping however. I can go back for pho as a solo mission too. Prawn steamed buns, crab spring roll and vegetable, beef lemongrass salad, and the duck pancake things. Really cool fit and layout and interior execution. Want to try the city version now. It's lively, its busy, it's happening its got atmosphere and it's a little fun. More fun than a dullard conservative white everything restaurant.

Yelp
A funky little place with a novel ordering system where you tick boxes on sheets of paper to hand to the staff, who are quick and friendly to boot. Online ordering is a massive plus - I can place an order at 12.00pm and walk down by 12.10pm and my order is ready to grab and go. There are both pay on pickup and pay online options. Miss Chu also delivers, for those who live and work in the area! In terms of food, I actually found the rice paper rolls a little disappointing. My satay chicken rolls were a quite dry (the satay sauce was tangy and packed full of flavour, but I don't feel there was enough sauce to combat the dryness). The pho, while tasty, doesn't quite give Victoria Street a run for its money but their takeaway pho is thoughtfully packaged and makes for a hearty lunch. The real winners for me are the noodle salads (lemongrass beef!), the cocktails and their fried net spring rolls. Overall, a great place to treat yourself to a work lunch or after work dinner. I've yet to see it when it's packed to the rafters, but even when it is not, it's still buzzing with energy and good atmosphere.

Yelp
After seeing the Miss Chu website up on nearly everyone's screen in the office I felt compelled to see what all the fuss was about. I'm a big Vietnamese food fan so it wasn't going to be hard to impress me and the Lemongrass Beef Salad didn't disappoint. It was nice and buzzy and the staff were friendly. Not a bad lil' experience all up :)

Yelp
Everyone deserves a second chance, right? So why are restaurants any different?... In fact, I might even give them a third chance over a period of time - perhaps they were having a bad day in the kitchen, perhaps they ran out of fresh produce to make their food flavoursome, perhaps they've changed management since the last time I went. Why do I listen to my heart and not my taste buds? Why does everyone go on about how AMAZING Miss Chus is. With SO MANY Vietnamese options in this gorgeous cultured city (and Hanoi Hannah LITERALLY down the road), you cannot get away with such bland food. Their pho resembles broth that's been watered down... and then diluted. The first time I had their pho I dined in (served with less than a pinch of chilli) - there was no Hoisin Sauce or Sriracha chili sauce on the table. Today I got take-away and brought it back across the road to eat in the office. I've stopped eating my broth to write this review it's that flavourless - no sauces, again minimal chilli and BLAND. I love the set up, the process of ordering, the vibe, the delivery/takeaway convenience, etc, and the staff are super friendly (except that one time I ate there and the manager yelled at the staff member in front of us because he got his start time wrong). However, I can see that I'm not the first one to mention 'bland' in their reviews. Sorry Miss Chu, get a bit of spice in your life. Until then, you've lost me.

Yelp
I really want to love Miss Chu's but even after a couple of visits I'm still feeling slightly underwhelmed and not sure about the fuss? Sure if you're stuck in South Yarra and need something quick and relatively inexpensive then it's quite good but is it anything more than good? I'd say no. Like another reviewer pointed out, the success of Miss Chu is also its down fall. The service at the South Yarra store was some of the worst customer service I've experienced as I was served by an unhelpful and rude chap. I realise you're busy but lose the attitude. After trying similar styled places I'd have to say that while Miss Chu's is nice there is better out there. If you're in the area I'd happily recommend you try Hanoi Hannah on High Street. It's a similar price range and the food is much better.

Yelp
Good, simple food. Most times I have been they have actually messed up my order, but have profusely apologized and even given us a free desert or drink. As the other reviews note, the music is super loud. Take away is also very good & is a healty alternative to most other delivery options.

Yelp
Swung by MissChu's new South Yarra outpost today and had a little taste test of the rice paper rolls (prawn + mango), noodle salads (lemongrass beef) and dessert (tapioca with mango and coconut). The rice paper rolls were bulging with noodles, juicy prawns, fried shallots and fresh herbs. Perfect with the sweet-zingy dipping sauce. 2 per order makes these a perfect little appetizer to share before the main event. Our lemongrass beef noodle salad was piled high with crisp, shaved veg and lettuce, generously dressed (without being soupy) and provided enough tender, well-spiced beef for two people to share happily. The dressing was a bit on the sweet side - not a bad thing, but just a heads up if you prefer sour/spicy. And the tapioca, mango and coconut concoction? Gorgeously sweet and silky. Unfortunately they didn't have any steamed dishes available. It would have been nice to know prior to placing our order, but understandably, not everything goes to plan on the first day! Will definitely be back for steamed bun goodness, a few of their unique-sounding cocktails, and more head bobbing to the fun electro soundtrack.

Yelp
The place is nice and food is goodbut the tables are a bit small and the place gets crowded. Had the spring rolls vermicelli, it was yummy!

Yelp
We often go here to get a small Asian treat before going to the movies at Cinema Como. The food is always fresh and the service is friendly. The prawn spring rolls are fantastic.

Yelp
Love this place. Fresh, fast and fabulous! Lunch at work just got a whole lot more exciting with deliveries from Miss Chu!! Read up about the actual Miss Chu. She is an inspiration to small business owners and women in business! Quite the empire she has created for herself. Dreaming of Vietnam!!

Yelp
Super yummy Vietnamese dim sum style street food. Awesome atmosphere, fun crowd, and cool staff. Loved all the great veggie/vegan options as well! Highly recommend the egg/avo/caramelised onion rice paper rolls, steamed veggie bun, and veggie fried spring rolls (wrapped in this rice web shell that was both totally bizarre and delicious).

Yelp
Great if you manage to make it here outside the "main" dining times. Good use of ingredients - even if some of the fried rice rolls are a little on the oily side. The cold rolls are, however, fresh and tasty. If you arrive after 7, expect a wait for both dinning in and take-away. To be honest the food, in this case, wouldn't be worth the wait times Update: we've been finding that the fried spring rolls are way to oily. It seems that the rolls are not allowed to drain properly before serving, creating a 3-4 tablespoon puddle of oil on the bottom of the bowl (which the rolls are often sitting in)

Yelp
Cheap and quick service - a bit of a a battle for a table during peak periods. Sauces are spicy so proceed with caution. Fresh beautiful ingredients, a must do for South Yarra
google avatar

Christine M.

Yelp
Great food, quick service! Will defiantly be back :) they did run out of 4 types of the rice rolls which sucked.
google avatar

Yelp
The Hanoi chicken curry is my work staple. Delicious, with a quick turn around. Most of the rest of the menu is pretty grand as well. The lemongrass beef salad, dumplings, and buns are all highlights.

Yelp
Ordered home delivery from Misschu South Yarra. It came fairly quickly for a Friday night. Food was great. Nice and spicy. We got prawn & mango rice paper rolls, Vegan vermicelli and the beef lemongrass vermicelli. It's well portioned, flavorsome and fresh. We will be back.

Yelp
Snappy service. Good tastes, dishes share very well. This is a great place for a quick bite (e.g. before the movies), or take a little longer and work your way through the cocktails. We had char sui buns followed by salmon salad and cocktails. Yum!
google avatar

Yots N.

Yelp
Good Vietnamese style street food. I highly recommend the rice paper rolls and the dumplings. But I'm obsessed with dumplings, so I'm clearly biased.
google avatar

Brad L.

Yelp
Probably the best Vietnamese of the area. Love the Banh Mi, but it's definitely worth trying a bit of everything. And for coffee lovers try the Vietnamese iced coffee for something different.

Ziba G.

Yelp
I just ordered the salmon rice to be delivered in one hour. After 1 hour and 20 minutes, the delivery man comes and explains that they have run out of rice and that my meal consists of salmon only. But they had given me a diet coke instead of the rice. They charged full price until I asked for a refund which they gave me back 5% off the price of the meal. I will never order from this place again.

Yelp
I love Miss Chu and having one right near my hairdresser is super convenient. Not the cheapest hawker food but definitely worth it, I had a duck pancake and the chicken curry on rice noodles (new edition to the menu). Was SO YUM!

Sarah D.

Yelp
The only time i went here i was extremely disappointed as i thought the expensive Bahn Mi would be worth the money, instead i found it inedible as char grilled translated just charred . The burnt taste went through everything and i could not eat it and have not gone back. I thought the other dishes i saw coming out looked nice and i enjoyed the ambiance but i just have not afforded to risk another meal there in case it was as disappointing.

Nikki J.

Yelp
Liked it Same same every time Never can get a table and loud and noisy and hot in summer but take away is good but REALLY SLOW (don't know I probally have bad luck!) but for next day lunch for rice paper rolls r good for lunch but very expensive FOR FOUR VEGAN no meat! rice paper rolls = 30 not very filling For 2 phos pretty much clear broth =$26 You can get pho in the city for about $4.50 or less Would rather a cheaper Vietnamese in the city
google avatar

Dia De L.

Yelp
This place was ok. Not great , more on the bland side of things . Ordered food to go and took it to the hotel. Ordered quite a bit . The fresh coconut water didn't taste fresh at all tasted like syrup for piña coladas .
google avatar

Patrick M.

Yelp
The service can be a little slow, but they service what are probably the best spring rolls I've ever had. Reminds me of my cooking class in Vietnam.
google avatar

Sabina G.

Yelp
Just came back from a dinner in misschu. High Expectations and so we were very disappointed . The first dishes were ok I have ordered the paper rice rolls with shrimp and my partner had a rice rolls with duck - good enough. And than came the fall, my partner had a Hanoi curry with chicken and it looked and tasted like a chicken after a hit bath. I had a poh soup which was very poor. The place is trendy many people but there is no way I will go there again .
google avatar

Bailey C.

Yelp
Love it, pricey but worth it. The rice paper rolls are legendary and the beef and lemongrass vermicelli is amazing.

Tony N.

Yelp
The food doesn't feel authentic. For me it felt like an over priced fast food joint. Banh mi was tiny and Pho didn't have any taste to it. I usually drink the soup but this time I just left it. I had to make a sandwich back at home. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Wendy O.

Yelp
Had lunch at Miss Chu South Yarra today. I've had tastier Pho elsewhere and the service was terrible. There was a long wait to place our order so a staff member directed me to the front register saying it would be quicker....it wasn't. And, the guy taking the orders was positively surly! Once placed, our order arrived quickly but I had the wrong drink - no explanation. When I asked why I was told they had run out of the drink I ordered but nobody offered to refund me the difference in price. I doubt I'll be going back anytime soon.
