We had an unforgettable experience at Mission Hill Family Estate Winery! The stunning architecture, breathtaking views of the vineyard and lake, and beautifully maintained grounds made our visit feel so special. The wine tasting was exceptional — every glass was rich in flavour and carefully explained by the knowledgeable staff. You can truly feel the passion behind their wines. A must-visit destination in the Okanagan for wine lovers and anyone who appreciates beauty, quality, and hospitality. We’ll definitely be back!

I have visited this place several times over the course of more than a decade. The view and grounds are lovely as usual. Fun statues to see and the architecture creates interesting viewpoints. I missed lunch, but was able to get a snack which basically was the cost of a lunch. My mom and I shared the fries, I had a glass of kombucha and we had a slice of the peach and raspberry tart each. This was over $56. A bit steep, but you are paying for the atmosphere. The tart was the only reason I was willing to come eat a very expensive afternoon snack in place of lunch and although it was small, it was excellent.

Mission Hill Winery – A Truly Memorable Experience Our recent visit to Mission Hill Winery was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the architecture of the venue took our breath away — a stunning blend of elegance, tradition, and modern design that made the entire experience feel elevated and timeless. We were fortunate to have Roxanne as our server, and she truly made our visit special. Her deep knowledge and passion for both the food and wine were evident in the way she carefully explained each dish she presented to us. Every plate came with a story, and Roxanne’s thoughtful descriptions made the entire dining experience feel personal and immersive. The wine selection was impressive, with pairings that beautifully complemented each course. Whether you’re a wine enthusiast or just discovering your palate, Mission Hill offers something that will impress and delight. From the breathtaking setting to the impeccable service, excellent wine and cuisine, Mission Hill Winery is an experience not to be missed. Highly recommended.

We recently had the pleasure of visiting Mission Hill Family Estate Winery in Kelowna, and it was an exceptional experience. The winery offers breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for a leisurely lunch. We were seated with a stunning view of the vineyards and Okanagan Lake, which added to the overall charm. The service was impeccable, with staff paying great attention to detail and being highly accommodating, especially regarding dietary restrictions like gluten-free options. The wine selection was impressive, featuring a variety of excellent choices that complemented the meal perfectly. Overall, I highly recommend Mission Hill Family Estate Winery for its beautiful views, outstanding service, and superb wine selections, making it a 5-star experience.

I had the pleasure of attending a wine tasting at Mission Hill, visit the wine cellar and the stunning Chagall room. Simon, our incredible server, was attentive, knowledgeable and so accommodating. He elevated our experience and surpassed all expectations. Dylan was also incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Would highly recommend visiting Mission Hill!

The estate is gorgeous, on a hill overlooking Lake Okanagan. We dined with some great views on this trip, but this one beat them all. The food was also, complex, delicate, and thoughtful, accompanied by flexible wine pairings, which gave us an opportunity to test five of their wines, all terrific. The server here was also terrific, and saved us a trip to the tasting room by letting us sign up for the wine club right there. It’s very flexible, just asking for three purchases a year, so we made the first right then, and I selected wines for a case that she even carried to our car. Mission Hill just was awarded the first 100 point wine in all of Canada, their 2020 Oculus ($225 Cdn) so you can be sure my case included a few of those. It’s interesting that although the winery has been open since 1981 and their estate vineyard is in West Kelowna, seven of their vineyards are south of Oliver. This reinforces my view that the wines of most interest are all from down there, at the southernmost Canadian extent of the Okanagan Valley.

The Best winery ever! The wine and amuse bouche were perfectly paired✨ The server ,curly hair guy, provided excellent service! It was a truly great experience:) I can see why here's so famous👍

A fantastic experience. It was the best winery tour ever. Wine and food pairing experience + private tour and testing was incredible. Staff are charming and professional and know a lot about wine and estate history.

Yelp
This might be the best view for a dinner date in all of Kelowna. My partner and I made sure to come slightly earlier to explore the grounds and we were quite awestruck - almost felt like we were in Europe! The dinner itself was just great. My biggest fumble was not taking a picture of the tomato tart that was honestly the highlight of the entire meal. Major kudos to the team behind this dish. We didn't go for the Chef's Tasting menu but were perfectly content with the Terrace Dining menu. Service was impeccable and we felt extremely welcomed. Only downside to the experience was the fact that the wines weren't that amazing. Mostly because of the deep freeze that forced wineries to import from elsewhere. Ice wine from Mission Hill is still amazing. Still, the food, service, and ambience made up for this small hiccup! Will most definitely be back and Mission Hill will be our go-to recommendation spot for our friends!

Yelp
THE BIG: Located on top of a hill and in West Kelowna with gorgeous views of the lake and grape vines lining down the hill. Classical style architecture with plenty of space for activities. Private parking lot available. THE BLACK AND WHITE: We came in on a Tuesday afternoon and we wanted to share a tasting, however entering the tasting room, it required for both of us to do a tasting per person. I was driving, so I didn't want to have a full tasting. Instead we opted to sit at the restaurant and have some food while my wife got the wine tasting and I got to sip on some of her experience. The food we ordered to nibble on were the pomme frites and they had a nice potato to crisp ratio. The wine pairing was awesome! Small with 3 pours for $25, however the wines were spectacular. Our waiter even brought a bonus pour of the sauvignon blanc 2023 reserve which was very delicious. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall the damage done for a wine tasting and pomme frites set us back ~$55 CAD. The tasting was absolutely amazing and the wines were definitely one of the best in Kelowna. Can't wait to come back and try more.

Yelp
Planning for our trip to Kelowna, my husband made sure to book a winery tour at Mission Hill Family Estate for our first winery tour in the region. My first winery tour in Kelowna did not disappoint! I was struck at how the residential homes seemed to extend right to the border of the winery, so one minute you were driving through a regular neighbourhood and then you are suddenly transported into another world. I could tell a lot of time and effort had been put into the maximizing visitor experience at the winery. Overall first impressions told me the winery emphasized the quiet beauty and elegance. They knew they were good, and did not need to be flashy about it. We were there comfortably early for our tour, so we were given a complimentary sample of chilled wine and encouraged to wander around the beautiful grounds. Afterwards we joined our tour guide as she took us around the winery, highlighting the stories behind the various art pieces (every piece has a story and/or a purpose) and we even got to wander around the cellar before we sat down for our wine tasting. We got to sample two whites, a red and a rose along with their respective food pairings. We were with such a small group so it was a very nice intimate date night between the wine and the food. Guilty as charged, I did wish our food portions were a touch bigger; in my mind that would have really enhanced the pairings and really made the wine or food pop. My husband splurged and opted for the Occulus add-on, the flagship wine of Mission Hill. I am a bit rueful in saying by the end of drinking all that delicious wine, my palette may not be refined enough to fully appreciate the Occulus, but it was a special treat nonetheless. We did order a couple of bottles to take home as presents, and I will definitely be keeping my eye out for Mission Hill wine at my local liquor stores!

Yelp
Tasting menu with pairing is the obvious choice and is exceptional. The staff are educated and professional from the minute you arrive at the host stand. Faithe a returning staff member of 3 years and counting made the whole experience and evening a memorable one from her menu descriptions to the precise wine service.

Yelp
The first stop on our wine trip was Mission Hill Winery.  Mission Hill is one of the bigger, well-known wineries and due to COVID, the wine tastings were by appointment only.  We booked well in advance, and while the price for the tasting was a hefty $25 per person, it was well worth it.  We had a private tasting in an elegant and upscale room, and our host, Alfredo, was not only very personable, but he was cute as well.  Due to a misunderstanding, we were only served whites and rosés, but on a hot day, that was fine with us. The six wines we sampled were: Exhilaration Brut Rosé (aka the "Welcome Wine"); 2019 Reserve Rosé; 2019 Reserve Pinot Gris; another rosé (I missed the name); a dry Riesling; and their award-winning Perpetua Chardonnay.  We enjoyed all the wines (well, the Riesling was OK), but we all really loved the Brut Rosé, of which we bought several bottles (#hottubwine).  A great way to start off our trip! Yelp
B is from Kelowna and he isn't a big fan of going to winery. Don't get me wrong he loves wines. I wanted to come here to check out the architecture and some of their wine. Unfortunately, we came during Covid time and a reservation is required. I did get a chance to walk around. I have to say they do have really beautiful architecture. Definitely great for picture taking. Note that they open at 11am. We came early and we ended up waiting. I have heard that the wine here are quite expensive and same goes for their restaurant. During Covid time their restaurant is not open for dine in. Have to say it is a beautiful winery. I will be back another time.

Yelp
Mission Hill Winery was on the top of my winery list for my first trip to the Okanagan Valley. Within 5 minutes of walking in the the wine shop, I experienced the most horrific customer service. We arrive yesterday afternoon. Understanding we had no reservations for wine tasting, we asked if we could visit the wine shop and have a quick look of the grounds. The young lad at the gate was great and welcomed us to visit the shop. Upon entering the wine shop, we were greeted and asked immediately what type of wine we were looking for. I indicated reds and was escorted immediately to the red wine area. I felt rushed. I'm reading the notes/labels of each wine and notice a certain berry I am highly allergic and informed the young Asian lady with glasses. She said there was no berries in the wine and I said that's ok and will look around. I guess she must not like my answer and deliver "a tisting sound" which means she was right and I am wrong - a high insult an Asian person can deliver onto another Asian. I was willing to walk away from this gesture as I didn't wish to hinder the experience for my group. Upon meeting my group, I turned around and saw the same staff helping me talking to another staff at the tasting bar with her hands in the air and making angry motions. She must be talking about me. With this second blow, I asked my group to leave immediately. We will not be coming back. The 6 other wineries we visited all provide excellent experiences and customer services. The same berry question I asked upon another winery, it was answered in a dignified and educated manner. Mission Hill Winery is beautiful but that all I can say.

Yelp
AVM has created a exceptional masterpiece at Mission Hill for Wine Enthusiasts & provides a exemplary Experience in his art culture and tastings . Staff were excellent. Always a pleasure to visit here .

Yelp
Always a delight to visit this winery! Been coming here since 1999 and watched it grow and flourish over the decades. One day, when I won't be asked for my 'papers', I'd love to enjoy a leisurely lunch out on the terrace overlooking the Lake and feel the warm breeze on my skin.

Yelp
This is quite a delayed post but its better late than never right?! A few friends and myself went to Mission Hill in summer, it was one of my friends first wineries in Kelowna and I've visited before and wanted to show her this glorious place called Mission Hill.. obvious by its name it is on a hill with the most beautiful views. And boy were we lucky. With the weather being around 40 sunshine and clear blue skies we rolled up and parked up. Covid times changed a few things for us visiting, masking up and restricted times having to book ahead for our tasting and also you'll find not as many people around as it usually is during summer. We weren't able to peruse the vineyard as we normally would, actually got told off to :( but hey this is when I tell you more about the best tasting we had indoors. It was a 1:3 situation everyone got their on tasting person to help guide us through the wines. I'm not even much of a wine drinker but can I tell you that our person Monica was the best I've ever met. She was so kind, fun, knowledgeable, easy going, safe, masked up, who wouldve thought i would need to add these things into my review but its true! We've never had better service or an experience that memorable without her. Thank you Monica! We highly recommend you ask for her if you can and if you can't. You're lucky to get her to look after you when you're at Mission Hill! Thank you for such a memorable experience and for the wonderful wines in a safe environment.

Yelp
We recently purchased tickets for a wine tasting event at Mission Hills. It was a disappointing start to say the least. We were left standing in the rain for 10 minutes waiting for the door to be unlocked. Then taken into another room where we were left to wander for another 10 minutes. While still waiting around we were brought, in a paper cup no less, some mulled wine. Then finally, the tour began. The lady who gave the tour, although lovely, had a very strong accent and spoke very softly. We might have caught a third of what she was saying. All in all, a disappointing evening and unbecoming for such a world-class winery.

Yelp
I always enjoyed dropping in to have lunch at Mission Hill. I have toured just about every part of the winery and estate as well wine tasting numerous times. They are in a different category than most of the small wineries as they are mass distributors of wine. They do produce some very good wines but I prefer the wines produced by the smaller wineries in the Okanagan. The staff are always pleasant and helpful all the way from the tasting room to bottling to orchards to restaurant as well as operations. Definitely worthwhile to drop in and spend some time here.

Yelp
We visited Mission Hill on a Tuesday afternoon. Had the A Taste of Okanagan wine tasting. Angel was our host and made the whole experience so memorable. The wines we tasted were wonderful - a big thank you to Angel!

Yelp
Over priced for the inconsistent service and quality of the food. Dinner was $125 per person +tax. At the beginning we had to wait 40 minutes for the first course until we asked a server about it. The server initially said we should expect to take 1.5 hours to go through the 6 meal course. Later on the manager came over and said it takes over 2 and a half hours to go through the full meal. Food and wine were good but I could not justify that price again.

Yelp
The view was spectacular and you get a real sense of grandeur visiting this place. The thing we didn't like was that it felt extremely touristy and impersonal. Out of 4 of us only 2 decided to taste because it was jam packed and the serving area is more like a bar at a club and not a place to enjoy for too long. In the 10 minutes we were basically allotted at the bar, we had 3 different girls "take over". Luckily their demeanour went from worse to better so we ended fairly happy but it wasn't a great time. The girls are so stretched out between the 30 people on each side trying to get their refills and lean in to hear them. Also in this large room is a full functioning gift shop so it's a little chaotic. Tastings were 10 dollars each and only waived if you bought 2 bottles of wine per person. My friend did end up buying two bottles but one is a gift and the other is their new really great sparkling wine which we will certainly be sharing! It's good wine and a great view and the staff obviously keep this place running by no short amount of effort. I just think there may be ways to ease the chaos of the tasting room. My mom told us they have concerts and dinners all the time and although it's very expensive to attend, I'd consider giving Mission Hill another go around. Definitely go once to see the grounds at bare minimum.

Yelp
I was a bit nervous at how posh and expensive the place looked, the buildings, grounds and location are quite impressive. However, the wine was AMAZING. Their organic merlot and their reserve cab were particularly impressive and even worth the high prices. To boot, they had a christmas tree exhibit going on inside as well. They are definitely our current favorite winery in Kelowna right now.

Yelp
With a couple days in the area Mission Hill was a must see for its pure scenery. We of course wanted wine too and stopped in at their taste bar. On a Monday it wasn't too packed, but certainly was busy with a surprisingly younger crowd than I'd anticipated. We tasted through 6 wines for $13 with generous pours, but overall a pricy tasting. The wine was mediocre (I'm not a big wine snob) and pricy. Their sell point was the $13 can be put towards two bottles of wine (greedy much?). I was turned off by both the service style and the price points. We were asked to pay before our final pour which I'm sure is a technicality, but it comes off as pushy and unprofessional. What upsets me the most is the price points and greediness of the winery. This clearly is the one of the more successful and affluent wineries in the area yet compared with some of the more local wineries they don't seem to give much back to the guests and community. Why not make it a $5 fee and a $5 donation to a good cause? They clearly can afford it. Also they do not want you to walk through their grape fields.. I get it, but all the signage turns off the guests who just want to walk up the the grapes for a look. Overall scenery- yes, wine-okay, price-no, service-no, go again-NO!

Yelp
I love wine and I am not gonna pass up a wine tasting. I came across this winery on a Kelowna trip. I and my partner were not disappointed; they had delicious wines. The views and the estate itself is amazing. We partook on the winery tour and it was amazing to hear and see how wine is made. We saw the cellar and they told us about their history. The wine is priced higher than average, but it is so worth it. They offer a great tasting experience and will be happy to ask all your wine questions. I now know what Terroir means! The entire experience was just breathtaking; honestly thinking of joining their wine club!

Yelp
Such an unreal experience! We had the private estate lunch tour and it was phenomenal. Ewan was our guide and he was incredible. The tour was super fun and the lunch was so good. The meal and the wine is excellent. I highly recommend checking this winery out and booking a meal or tour experience.

Yelp
Really fancy place! Quite an experience though just being there. We did a couple of things here: - ate at the restaurant (pics shown) - did the wine tasting Okay, so the food was really good at the restaurant. The charcuterie board was a pretty generous portion & quite tasty. The cheeses were $7 per cheese, which seemed nice. We got two glasses of wine and the servers were very helpful in providing recommendations. The wine tasting was pricy - between $10 to $15 depending on which ones you try. I thought that was expensive. So removing 1 star for this. We will be back because it was so beautiful, offering unparalleled views of okanagan and kelowna.

Yelp
- Amazing view! - Amazing service (our waiter was named Matt - simply wonderful... knew what he was talking about, excellent service as a host, and very patient for us) - I haven't had scallops this awesomely amazing and well seasoned and charred ever in my life. - perfect pairing recommendations for wine and food - The bread (both varieties) have the taste of heirloom grains (or maybe I'm crazy - but they were to die for) - I honestly can't remember what dessert we had, but will kill for it again! - Even my friends who had something kinda lame like the burger can now die and go to heaven. MUST GO TO PLACE
google avatar

Yelp
excellent views of the okanagan wine country below. awesome grounds and perfectly manicured lawns and vineyards. superior landscaping and designs... however, expensive wines and ambiance! lol overall, always a good place to visit and take pictures when in kelowna!

Jurn L.

Yelp
One of my favourite wineries in Kelowna, hands down. I never seem to leave empty handed when I go there. So many great wines that I love: Viognier, Oculus, Perpetua, and their Rose. In addition to the wines, the winery itself is beautiful. It's hard not to stop and take pictures and videos as soon as you arrive. And the views are spectacular! A must-visit if you're in the Okanagan.
google avatar

Nicole L.

Yelp
The accolade as the best winery is not easily attained, and with the accomplishment to putting BC wine on the world stage is one that's especially endearing. That's why a tour of the winery and dine at the Terrace @ Mission Hill is a must, plus the experience is simply jaw dropping. Our experience saw us ordered the catch of the day - sable fish with scallops - and the brisket burger. Scallops were cooked perfect with soft flaky smooth fish that goes well with the sauce. The brisket burger tasted well, but came off slightly dry. Overall, with the breathtaking views and sculptured landscape the experience was on point.

Viviann L.

Yelp
Great winery and really spacious. Amazing views, decent wines, nice restaurant, and a couple beautiful sculptures. Lots of roses and a fountain from an Austria's castle from 1600. Lots of parking spaces and restrooms outside too. Would recommend people to come visit and look around.
google avatar

Yelp
Came in for a wine tour today and it was an amazing experience. Got the opportunity to try 4 different kinds of their wine while on the tour. Learned a lot about the way they grow their vines and how their wine is produced. The Estate is very beautiful with a lot of history behind it and it has beautiful views of the Lake. You can also see there is a different art as you walk throughout the estate.
google avatar

Ken W.

Yelp
We are wine club members and did a private tour and tasting. Brie was so good to explain all of the history and details of the winery. Worth doing for sure. The wine cellars was impressive and the samples were amazing. One of my favourite wineries in the Okanagan
google avatar

Pamela D.

Yelp
Mission Hill, amazing architecture, sculptures and... wine. The walk to the winery is beautiful and creates quite a few talking points with the sculptures and views. The tasting bar is very grand and the server was knowledgable and fun. She kept us entertained. We enjoyed the wine and the whole vibe. The giant room is full of things to look at once you have selected your favourite wines. They sell a lot of stuff in here, from crockery to art. We really enjoyed the Pinot Noir and in particular those in the Terroir Collection. Fabulous stop on our tour with Experience Wine Tours.

Michelle E.

Yelp
If you go for the view, they've got it in spades. The food, on the other hand, is pretentious, snobby and not very tasty. It wasn't horrible but nothing special. If you're not a wine drinker, don't hope for a 'normal' soft drink. They have strange flavored sodas that are interesting but expensive, as is everything. One of our quite expensive appetizers was bread and cheese similar to what I'd put in a kid's school lunch but somehow putting it on a slate tile makes them think they should charge a king's ransom for it. Overall, I was unimpressed with their over-the-top pricing, uncomfortable by the unwelcome feelings I received since I'm not a wine drinker and annoyed by the aloof, condescending way I was treated.
google avatar

David V.

Yelp
Really nice place. All the people were very friendly and helped out with getting places. They offered to take my photo. Ashley was the hostess for my group. She knew the history of the place really well and was a great tour guide. If you want to go to a winery you should visit this place.
google avatar

Greg L.

Yelp
This winery is stunning. Great views and a large tasting room. Go to the right side and spend a couple more bucks for their lower volume, better wines. Pricey lunch but really great food and super friendly service. A must see winery for sure.
google avatar

Bernice G.

Yelp
This winery is a must see! You must come here to experience the full meal deal of what a high end winery is like. It is absolutely breathtaking. No detail is missed from the intricate architecture, the flowers and herb gardens (used for their restaurant), the beautiful outdoor amphitheater and restaurant, to the professional staff and of course the wine. As soon as we approached the property, we knew that we were going to be experiencing something special. Immediately, we passed the open gate surrounded by beautiful stone buildings and a most incredible view of the valley below. We were greeted by hosts and they welcomed us in and lead us into the main wine shop to where our tour would be. I recommend that you take an official guided tour. They have quite a few to choose from ranging in price from $15 to $105 depending on the type of experience you wish to have. My friend and I decided to go on their Reserve Tour that entailed a brief movie about how Mission Hill came to be, the wine cellar, the grounds and finished off with a wine tasting. Our tour guide was Luanne and she was very knowledgeable of the winery and had a great sense of humor. She entertained us with our many questions and she gave some great pointers at the end on how to fully experience tasting wine. After the wine tasting portion of the tour was done you could continue to taste more wines in the wine shop for a price of $15. We had a reservation at their Terrace Restaurant so we immediately went there after the tasting was complete. I recommend that you stop at this restaurant to top off your experience here. It is absolutely divine!

Yelp
amazing food and wines. and view is spectacular. Scott was our guide and he was amazing too. our server Sean was so professional and friendly.

Yelp
You should be here! There are wineries, and then there's Mission Hill. Perched on a hill like the castles of old, this estate does not disappoint. Come for the great architecture, interesting sculptures and beautifully appointed tasting room. Stay for a tasting of really great whites (the C Sharp blend is a marvel, as is the Viognier). No trip to Kelowna would be complete without a stop here!

Zanda L.

Yelp
One of my absolute favorite places, you just can't go wrong with this place. The scenery is absolutely stunning, make sure to bring a camera. There's plenty of parking upfront, but it definitely gets busy on the weekends. Tried my first Ice wine here and it was amazing, the staff was brilliant and explained everything. Be aware this place is a little bit on the pricey side comparing to other wineries in the area, but definitely WORTH IT!

Yelp
I have been a long time supporter of your wiines and winery. I have been many times over the years and have always speak very highly of your winery. My GF and I were there in Sept long weekend last year and had an amazing visit that included a glass of wine on entry to stroll the grounds and the terrace restsurant was able to grant us a spot with an amazing view. We had an amazing lunch and fell in love with yet another one of your low vintage bottles. Purchased a bottle and spent $1000 that day. Worth every penny no complaints. The complaint comes when we spoke so highly to a few couples in the Seattle area and we all decide to spend a weekend. I guess the winery was a little busy. We were first told that everything is booked and nothing is available. Basically we don't want you here. I spoke to the lady and said we just want to walk the grounds and visit the wine store. She said come back in 45 mins we may be able to squeeze you in then. We came back and no wine glass greeting and the place was not crowded at all. Lots of room to walk and take pictures. What a difference a glass of wine for 3 couples would have made. We were able to tell that magical story of our trip. However the 2 couples will not be telling that story. They will be telling a different tale.... Needless to say we bought nothing and moved on to other more welcoming wineries.

Yelp
Love the place. Part of the place reminded me of a stage on GOT ( Game of Thrones) . The wines are exclusively pricey but good. The restaurant is actually reasonable and very good. I haven't had such a good salad in awhile and of course the service is spot on. Especially for the restaurant. Knowledgable and polite and staffed well. The place is a great spot to visit, get some great wines and stuff that goes along with it. A highly recommended winery to visit.

Yelp
Very disappointing, the food and service was horrible. Unless you're dressed like you have money, even though you don't, then you're treated differently. We traveled 7 hours to go to their winery and visited Kelowna, so of course we were not dressed like everyone else. When we arrived we were told that they no longer have their liquor license to do wine tasting at the bar, but forced to do a 45 minute seated wine tasting, which we were to tired to sit for that long. Decided to go to the restaurant and get a bite to eat and a glass of wine, only to be told we could only order a charcuterie board, but all the other tables around us were able to order other food, other than a charcuterie board. We weren't even asked if anyone at the table would like a glass of wine, so no one ordered anything. This place is over rated and not worth your time and money! There are other wineries in the area that are far better than Mission!

Yelp
Great ambiance, food was excellent and service was great. We really enjoyed the personal feel of our whole experience. It was disappointing to have a set menu but understandable under the circumstances

Yelp
Amazing views. Fantastic experience. Quite a treat to dine at the winery. 5 for views. 3 for food. Average of 4 for the entire experience. Delicious prawn and linguine with tomato bacon sauce. Loved the grilled octopus as well. Charcuterie platter was average. Meats a little too salty for my palate. Honey mustard extremely mediocre. Bread should have been served warm in my opinion. Had to ask for water to be re-filled. Understaffed perhaps. Steep prices but that is expected for a unique venue such as this one.

Yelp
About as perfect as a New World winery can be. The tours are well informed, friendly, and certainly worth taking. In the main shop there's different tastings, one section covers their "Five Vineyards" wine, which is the entry level. All taste good, and retail in the $15-$20 range. On the other side of the shop is the higher end and more select tastings. I love the Martin Lane Pinot Grigio, which, in my opinion is better than their 'more exclusive" S.L.C. range. They have a wonder grass amphitheater, which is open for kids to run around and have fun with during the day, and occasionally they have concerts there in the evening. This is arguably one of the bigger wineries in the Okanagan, but it is probably the best.

Yelp
This is an absolute stunning winery with a gorgeous view. Mission Hill is located of course, on a hill so it can get a little windy. It's also one of the more touristy wineries in Kelowna, but still worth a visit. The architecture alone is worth the visit. Make sure to bring a camera.

Yelp
2.5 stars. Stopped by the winery while staying in Summerland. Once was more than enough. Not our top choice in Kelowna. (Though we didn't try the restaurant, the open-air patio is perfectly positioned for a beautiful view.) If you like large commercial experiences dished out in a beautiful setting by polished staff for high prices, this winery is for you. The store sells imported pottery etc from Europe. If you prefer a more intimate and authentic experience, I recommend going elsewhere, such as some of the wineries in Naramata. We didn't try the wines: like most items in the store they seemed overpriced and it was a bit crowded. Fantastic view - but NOT visible from the tasting room, which is an enclosed room with few windows. Other wineries in the area have equally wonderful views. Grounds are nice, though the architecture is rather totalitarian-regime style softened by Tuscan colors. Imposing (intimidating?) and blockish with a few strong Orwellian symbols on guard over the guests. (Didn't remind me of Versailles at all - despite the marketing-driven comparison.)

Yelp
We accidentally found this place during one of our road trips this summer. We were just driving around West Kelowna when we came upon Mission Hill. It had a beautiful zen vibe from the moment we entered the gorgeous gates. They have beautiful sculptures all over the grounds and we were free to roam the estate. They have a breath taking view of Okanagan Lake framed by their grape vines. The simple lines of the buildings in the courtyard did not compete with the environment. I'm not much for public washrooms but theirs by the Chagall Room was very clean and constructed in concrete, stone with brass fixtures. The high ceilings and doors were reminiscent of church interiors which lent to the peaceful aura of the estate. We decided to check out the Boutique and tasted their wines. The interior was busier and less zen than the outdoors but that's okay. It was pleasantly cool (a good thing since we came here in the middle of a heat wave) which was good for the numerous wines they had in the room. Their associates were knowledgeable without being snooty like some wineyards I've been to in Napa and Niagara regions. At the end, we walked away with a couple of Rieslings and a Pinot Noir. From the parking lot to the vinyard to the washrooms, Mission Hill Winery Estate is first class.

Yelp
love, love, love this winery! I had the pleasure of visiting this winery last weekend, with all my girlfriends for my bachelorette party. We had a tour and a wine tasting. The staff were so welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. Our tour guide was Leanne (I hope that was her name!), she was amazing and made sure we had an experience we wouldn't forget. This was the first stop on our wine tour, and thank goodness - we were supposed to go to Quails Gate winery, but despite our booking we were met with nothing but attitude and extremely rude staff. Starting our day at Mission Hill really set the mood, and got us so excited to see what Kelowna had to offer! I was so thrilled with the warm welcome we received, especially as we were a bachelorette party of 13 women. This winery is a must see! I would definitely recommend Mission Hill over and over again.

Yelp
Breathtaking scenery and architecture.. The place is amazing, you can enjoyed the wine tasting that was $8 and the price deduced when a bottle was purchased. The Estate has a sixty-seat restaurant called "Terrace" that overlooks Lake Okanagan. A culinary delight and one of the best winery restaurants in the world.

Yelp
Amazing! I can't believe it took me this many visits to actually dine here. Food was absolutely fantastic. The server was amazing. Wine was poured generously. Food value and quality was just superb. Best rest of a winery in the interior for sure. :) I was at quails gate and nothing compared to this. Highly recommend making reso for this!

Yelp
I will agree with other reviewers - the landscape and architecture is gorgeous, you feel like you have been transported to a European Vineyard. If you are there for the ringing of the bells, it is a cool thing to experience. But other than that, this is a Tourist Trap. I have been to Mission Hill three different times over the years. It is always crowded and busy, to the point it is uncomfortable. On my most recent visit, on Canada Day, we sampled 3 wines - two of which had fruit flies in them. For such a grand place, I would expect better. We went to 5 wineries and Mission Hill was the only one who poured wine with fruit flies in the bottles. If you like architecture, check out Mission Hill, if you are actually in the area to relax and enjoy wine - don't waste your time!

Yelp
Best Winery! My husband and I checked out Mission Hill on our recent trip to Kelowna. This is the most beautiful winery I have ever been to. The grounds are immaculate with impressive statues, well maintained gardens, and the most incredible views of Okanagan Lake and downtown Kelowna. We sampled 4 wines from the Reserve collection and their Riesling and Pinot Noir were my favourites from the ones I sampled. We also chose to sample their best wine, Oculus, which you must try! Everything about Oculus was impressive. The bottle is very sleek and heavy, the wine was so smooth and delicate. It truly is the best of the best. We were also informed that it has won awards. After sampling, we checked out Terrace Restaurant. The service was excellent and the food was flavourful, fresh and fantastic. Overall, I definitely recommend checking out Mission Hill on your next visit to Kelowna. I'm happy to rate my experience as 5 stars all around.
