I’ve been wanting to write a review for Missy’s forever, but honestly, I was scared I’d somehow undersell how amazing this place is. Anyway, I finally hyped myself up—so here we go. This place has one of the most wonderful drinks menus in Calgary. My top three cocktails: the Sazerac, the Lay Over, and the Orange Yuzu—absolute perfection every single time. I also had the best rum and coke of my life here. They use Danza De Lobos Ancestral Rum, and with that lime wedge- it’s pure, effortless magic. Their wine recommendations? Solid any day of the week. And the whiskey selection deserves a huge shoutout. My favourite was the Berry Bros. & Rudd single cask 1997, and the Weller wheated bourbon, Kilkerran 16-year, and Springbank 15-year were all exceptional too. This spot is perfect for anyone who truly appreciates a good drink in a low-key, chill setup. The snacks pair beautifully with everything on the menu. It’s a genuine hidden gem—with its discreet entrance, cozy upstairs bar, and that mellow speakeasy energy that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled into a little pocket of good vibes. The whole place has a kind of curated calm to it—relaxed, stylish, and the kind of atmosphere where you can feel your shoulders drop the second you sit down. And the staff—some of the best around. They’ve got this easygoing, grounded warmth that just makes everything feel right. You can feel the difference, and they’re a big part of why this place hits so good. Missy’s This That is operating on a completely different level in Calgary. A whole vibe of its own. Shoutout to THE cousin Sarath for introducing this place!

It's like... A dive bar that isn't a dive bar. It's hard to explain the vibe, but it's super cool. Amazing cocktails artfully crafted by an experienced bartender, and I had the absolute best charcuterie board I've ever had. Fantastic wine selection, and super friendly staff. This sits above a convenience store, and the place comes across as minimalist maybe even a little barren when compared to.othwr places, but I think that's part of the charm. You don't need something ostentatious and overdone to have a fantastic time with exceptional drinks, food and people. Don't miss out on this place, it really is that good.

I was so happy my friend Caitlin reccomended this bar. This was my first time here and Carter and Mia were so amazing and funny and welcomimg!! I love the menu and attention to detail (probably one of the most intentionally funny and random menus ive ever had the pleasure of chortling several times to* (*see photo update). Easily one of the best bars ive been to in Canada alongside some seasoned favourites back in Vancouver, but this place is a gem!!! 💎💎💎💎💎💎💎 i really enjoyed my Oolong Peach Long Island (delicious... Lychee in there, maybe? 🍑🦚🧋🍐🕊) and the Mighty Moose Vodka was very decently good for a Well. Will definitely be back!!! 🥰💯💯💯🤠💎💎🍑👨🏼‍🚀🥳

Owner is a level 4 sommelier and it shows. Top 5 of natty wine bars I’ve been to in the world. “No cap”, as the kids say. This place is excellent. Anchovies on toast are great, so are the olives. Quality of a Barcelona bar. Wine by the glass is excellent but don’t miss their wine fridge of even more excellent bottles. Super amazing and very knowledgeable staff. Friendly vibe, nice clientele (serious wine drinkers). Don’t come here if you’re looking for first year college party party overdrinking vibes ; there’s plenty of other bars for that ;-{}

Let’s deal with the negatives first… it is upstairs, it is spartan and if you were looking for a quiet respite from a chaotic day.. go somewhere else! But, if you were looking for a fabulous wine list at very drinkable prices .. a varied cocktail list and yesterday the Grand Chef from The Post was responsible for the nibbles…..it reminds me of many secret bars in Montreal where wine industry folk hangout and enjoy Thomas’s creative vision to allow common folk to drink some very impressive wines! I have not spent an evening there but I am positive the style and content of the bar would be jammed with 20-35 year olds ! Well done Thomas and yes having Canada’s premier sommelier Julian there was a much added bonus to us! Thank you again for your hospitality !

One of my new favorite spots in the city, I like coming in right when they open after I'm done work. Great and knowledgeable staff, drinks are delicious, and I love the atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Atmosphere: 5/10 Located on the second floor in Calgary’s Beltline district, Missy’s This That offers a diner-style bar atmosphere with red neon lighting and bar counter seating. The backbar is not prominently featured, and the overall design leans towards a simplistic, college-diner aesthetic. While there are various seating options around the bar, the ambiance felt somewhat basic and lacked the vibrancy expected in late hours. Music volume was appropriate, featuring hip-hop that complemented the setting. Drinks: 6.5/10 Recommendation: – The menu is relatively simple, with limited diversity in offerings. A notable feature is the inclusion of different cup and glass shapes for each drink. However, presentation is extremely basic, with no garnishes and average glassware quality. The flavors did not stand out, lacking complexity and maturity. Service: 7.5/10 Water was served upon arrival. The young team was friendly and attentive. Prices are average for Calgary, but felt too high considering the overall experience and atmosphere.

One of Calgarys best bars ! A hidden gem, though a prime spot for dates, a quick drink, or a place to get together with friends. Vast selection of wines and spirits, as well as delicious cocktails. Environment can vary depending on the night, always a lovely time. Great service with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Must try and experience it for yourself ! My favourite drink to order is a classic Dirty Martini. The “Orange Yuzu Glad We Used The Fancy Almonds In This??” and the “Missy’s Espresso MMMartini” are always a great choice!

I'm so happy and honoured to be the first to review Missy's. We stopped by on recommendation of a friend on our last visit to Calgary and ended up liking it so much that we came back the next day. Missy's in an unpretentious wine and cocktail bar located upstairs above a convenience store. The space is simple and bright with a good variety of seating. While it is best for smaller groups, I could see this being a great place to throw a party as well. All of the staff here know their stuff! We got some great tips on which gins to choose for martinis and G&Ts so we could take advantage of their happy hour special (all premium martinis are only $12.50 from 4-6pm!) I really loved my experience with Missy's and will definitely make an effort to stop by next time I'm in town.
