Tried Mister Wheel Toronto for the first time and it was such a nice experience!🙂 All the staff were very professional, and every wheel cake is freshly made to order. It takes about 5–10 minutes, but definitely worth the wait, nothing beats a wheel cake that’s freshly made 🤤. Unlike other shops that pre-make them and just keep them warm, these taste so much better. I also love the design, each wheel cake is stamped with “Toronto” and local scenery, which makes them look extra pretty and refined. I ordered the pistachio and red bean flavors. Both were tasty, but I personally liked the red bean one more. It has a rich, authentic red bean flavor, and the black sesame on top really brings out the aroma. The pistachio one was good too, just a bit sweeter compared to the red bean. Overall, delicious and beautifully made wheel cakes, I’ll definitely be back! 🤤🤤

It’s a bit of a wait since they are made to order. But these wheels are worth it! Not too sweet with so many flavours to choose from, these are the perfect mid day sweet treat. Excited to try the other flavours next! Pictured are the custard and red bean wheels

Ordered 6 different flavors. Waiting time could be very long or maybe because it's weekend. The wheel pie is soft and flavors are just right and not that sweet for my preference. Ideal for light snacks.

We ordered online because they had qr codes posted throughout thinking it'd be easier than going to the cashier. But after a while we realized that it was the wrong move as people who paid at the cash got their order quicker than we did. We ended up waiting longer than 30 minutes for our order which was only 4 wheel cakes. It was a really long wait for something so small, and I felt that their "scan here to order" stickers were pretty misleading. That said, the food was pretty tasty and everything was fresh and made to order. Maybe I'll come back but I definitely will order at the cash next time.

Taiwan Wheel Pies - finally something new inside Upper East Food Hall and the hype is real! Hot, fluffy Taiwan Wheel Pies are your new go-to here! ▶️We got takeout because there were many people lining up and we did not want to block or disturb the vendors since the food hall is shared with different vendors, the seats are limited. ❗ If you have nut allergy, please inform their staff before ordering. Some of these have nuts inside or at the bottom of the pies. It also says on their menu but in smaller writing. ▶️The wheel pies we tried: (Custard,Taro, Thai Milk Tea, Pistachio, Earl Grey, Sesame) were when ordered, they all tasted & smelled delicious 😋! So far we've only tried their sweet flavours because the savoury ones were not available yet. But can't wait to try when they're available! I highly recommend ordering in advance to avoid and come back to pickup when the order is ready.

The wheel cakes here are delicious!! Crispy on the outside and soft inside. They offer a wide variety of flavors. My favourite is Pistachio!! Super yummy!! The staff are super friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

Their wheel pies are made on spot so you should expect a wait time of 15mins no matter how many you are ordering. I would recommend ordering multiple pies together instead of just one as the wait time is the same. Prices are very affordable and reasonable.

A pleasantly surprising snack! It's soft like a pancake on the outside and filled with a flavour of your choice. They have multiple flavours like matcha, taro, chocolate, red bean, and more. It takes ~15 minutes for them to prepare the food so make sure you're not in a rush. They make it from scratch and you can watch them bake in the tray. They also have milk tea and if you buy two wheel cakes you get $2 off the tea.

Yelp
Mister Wheel located inside the Upper East Food Club along Yonge St. near Church Ave in Willowdale services up Taiwanese wheel pies. Originally from Taiwan, this small shop just opened in Toronto where we happened to stumble upon their grand opening weekend. They also have a location in Singapore but I believe that this is their first ever North American location. The kiosk shares a space with other businesses in the food hall where they are located in the back right corner. The menu only has wheel pies, which are made to order, as well as drinks. For the wheel pies, they have unique flavours like custard, red bean, taro, matcha w/ mochi, black sesame, chocolate, earl grey, Thai milk tea, pistachio, and even bacon with potato. The wheel pies are made on a special iron device where the flavours are inside the cake like pie. Since it was their grand opening weekend, they didn't have any drinks available...but if you followed them on social media you can get a free custard wheel pie. This promotion is available from Aug 2 to Aug 14 where 200 free pies are available each day. We ordered at the cashier and she was friendly enough to let us know of the promotion to get another free pie. We purchased 2 pies (and got a 3rd one for free) where it was about a 10 min wait as the pies were made fresh in front of our eyes. There were some tables we could sit and wait at. Once our order was ready staff called out my number and the pies were still hot and fresh in their packaging. I had the pistachio wheel pie which was delicious! The cake like pie was nice and warm while the inside was filled with a pistachio like custard filling which was gooey. My husband mentioned that the custard one he had was delicious as well. Overall, great new addition to the neighbourhood for Taiwanese wheel pies. A perfect snack or dessert (not sweet at all!). Would be curious to try their drinks once they're available!
