Mithi Resort is undeniably beautiful: well-kept grounds, comfortable cottages, lovely saltwater pools, and a well-equipped fitness room that I enjoyed using. On the surface, it offers everything for a relaxing holiday. Unfortunately, the experience is dominated by rules and procedures rather than genuine hospitality. From strict security at the gate to staff monitoring around the pools, it often felt like we were being managed instead of welcomed. The use of golf carts, even though distances are easy to walk, added to this sense of unnecessary control. The problem lies with management placing too much emphasis on protocol and control, rather than creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests. In the end, the facilities themselves are excellent, but what could have been a dream stay ended up feeling restrictive, leaving us with mixed feelings about the resort.

We booked a 3-night stay here, and while the room was spacious, it came with a few unexpected downsides. Our first room was located at the back of the property, right in front of ongoing construction. This meant that early mornings were noisy, which we didn’t anticipate. Additionally, the patio/balcony offered a view of nothing but dried leaves and the forest, which didn’t match the expectations we had from the photos. To top it off, we noticed mold on the curtains, so we requested a room change.|The hotel staff were incredibly accommodating and moved us to a new room, but it took nearly the whole day for the transition to happen. The new room had a lovely balcony view, but it was a bit outdated. The air conditioning unit was leaking water, and it was noticeably smaller than the one in the previous room. Despite these issues, we didn’t want to keep moving rooms during our stay, so we decided to stick with it.|The hotel is in a quiet area, and the beach is beautiful and not crowded, which was a big plus. The breakfast buffet was decent, though the selection wasn’t as extensive as we expected for the price. The staff, however, were truly wonderful — attentive, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay.|Overall, while we enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and the beach, the property didn’t quite meet our expectations considering the price. The construction around the hotel during our visit definitely affected the experience, and the condition of the rooms didn’t match the images we had seen online. Perhaps we just booked at the wrong time, but it’s something to consider if you’re planning your trip.

Unpleasant stay. The hotel was practically empty, yet they placed me right in front of ongoing construction work. I couldn’t get a single peaceful morning of sleep or even take a nap in the afternoon because of the constant noise. Half of the property is under renovation. The spa is outrageously overpriced. Breakfast and meals take nearly an hour to be served. They advertise a beautiful hotel with a beach, but in reality, the hotel is ugly and the beach is down a cliff, very small and quite disappointing. Out of the two pools available, one was out of service. The bed sheets smelled damp, and the housekeeping staff didn’t even bother to take away a used coffee cup, yet they threw away all my shopping tickets—which I actually needed. The only positive aspect worth mentioning is the kindness of the staff and that the room was quite good.

Pre birthday celebration, all the staff were friendly plus kenn receptionist was fabulous! Spa was very good. They made a nice arrangement for my room with birthday greeting designed in bed sooo beautiful, surprise cake, surprise band of locals had a wonderful dinner at their restaurant. Breakfast is perfect and all the food was in big serving. We will come back again. The whole place was very good

This resort has lots of potential however at this time was lacking in general upkeep (although parts were under construction) and staff hospitality and welcoming. The room was clean and updated. While the restaurant has a large menu the food was not good quality. We wanted more from our experience at Mithi and sadly we were disappointed. Therefore, I cannot recommend this stay.

The room was spacious, there was a bit of design. I personally think there should be more designs in a big room. Also, when I entered the room there was a tissue in the toilet bowl which was a bit disgusting, and the wall weren’t that clean. The square shower head was also broken and the speaker outlet had a scotch tape so it will function. I called for help and they fixed the speakers.. the square shower head wasn’t which was disappointing cause I paid a lot for the room. I also asked for extra toiletries (lotion because they only gave a little bottle) but they didn’t give me extra cause they are stingy. Overall, the resort was beautiful. I loved the pools, beach, and other facilities.

Truly the most incredible experience in the Philippines. The views are unparalleled. The rooms were spectacular. The service was impeccable. The attention to detail was incredible to see and the smiles on the faces of everyone from the housekeepers to the bartenders and baristas. My girlfriend and I had the most wonderful time. Everytime we came back to our hotel room, there was a little surprise waiting for us. We will certainly be back.
