⚠️ Warning: Scam & Major Disappointment! From the hotel entrance to the room, everything initially looks perfect. The property is well maintained, and especially the plants create a great first impression. Unfortunately, this illusion quickly falls apart – at the latest when it comes to the beach, the food, and the guest service. Food & New Year’s Eve Gala – an absolute rip-off: The restaurant offers about 90% Korean food, with hardly any Filipino or European options. We stayed over New Year’s Eve and were charged around €140 per person for a so-called “New Year’s Eve Gala.” The evening before the gala, we had dinner at the hotel restaurant – my girlfriend ended up vomiting afterward. Because of this, we asked for a refund of the already paid €140. The hotel manager refused without any explanation. Despite this, we decided to give the hotel another chance – a mistake. The “gala” turned out to be a poorly organized buffet with almost exclusively Korean food. There were no proper vegetarian main dishes at all, even though we had clearly stated during booking and again at check-in that my girlfriend is vegetarian. The waitress’s response to our complaint was unbelievably arrogant: “Well, there is rice and salad anyway.” 😅 The so-called “warm vegetarian meal” that was then served: 👉 Leaf salad with mango. For €140. We left the restaurant and asked to speak to the hotel manager in the lobby. He was friendly, yes – but full of excuses and showed no real willingness to find a solution. We told him they should come up with something. Result: ✔️ Free late check-out ❌ €140 for the gala still gone Beach & Pool – neglected and unhygienic: Far too few sunbeds at the beach and generally very poor cleanliness. It even looked like pool wastewater was running over the rocks into the sea – absolutely disgusting. Service? Basically non-existent. The gym was supposedly open from 6:00 AM. I asked for this every single day – not once was it open at 6. Conclusion: We ended up renting a scooter and going to the Oceanica Hotel every day just to get decent service, clean facilities, and acceptable food. Mithi should seriously take a look there to learn how proper guest service works. Overall: a complete disappointment. Misleading offers, poor food, no compensation for justified complaints, and extremely weak service. ❌ We absolutely do NOT recommend this hotel. ⚠️ Be careful – we clearly feel ripped off

Food: Breakfast buffet is good, but Not exzellent. Room Service is Great, they bring everything to your Room. The snorkling in Front of the Hotel is Fine (if you Dare to swim out behind the buoys through the seagrass) Definitely worth is the Short Trip to the Marine sanctuaty they do have a private Cave in which you Can swim alone. (At least I was alone Both times) snorkeling with a torch in it is Impressive, as it is really Deep. the seaview room is Great! Spacious and a Great view terrace. The other rooms in second row are smelly and in every Detail a downgrade. And no flyscreen in eitler room

The staff were amazing! Always so helpful. The service was EXTRA fast. We would usually order water to be delivered to the room and it would reach us in less than 10 minutes. The room was, while a bit older looking furniture, very good and comfortable. Pools (multiple) are very nice, and they have a warmer and colder water pool which I found really awesome. Their amenities, such as tennis court and gym were an extra nice touch. The restaurant food could be improved, as many other reviews stated. In addition, for a country such as Philippines, breakfast buffet only had 1-2 options of fresh fruit which was quite disappointing.

This resort could pass as a 4 star going by my experiences elsewhere in Asia. They are doing a bit of renovation which was not intrusive and needed going by some reviews. Service excellent but do remember you generally have to ask for what you want in the Philippines. I have learnt as a newbie that’s just the way it is. Breakfast isn’t great. But again that’s an Asian thing. If you’re not expecting a full English you’re not going to get it. Lovely private beach, private cave that you can swim in too!

We stayed at Mithi Resort to attend a wedding and decided to arrive a day earlier to enjoy the property. From the moment we checked in, the staff were very accommodating, greeting us warmly and handling the process smoothly while answering all of my questions.Transportation around the resort was very convenient. You can call for a pick-up service from your room, and the staff will bring you by golf cart to the restaurant, beach, pool, or spa. This made getting around easy and enjoyable. Special thanks to Mav, the bellman, who was very accommodating and always ready to assist with a smile. The villa itself was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared with complimentary water and snacks.Breakfast the next morning was satisfactory. The view from the breakfast area was truly memorable, especially if you sit outdoors to enjoy the pool and beach scenery. The main dishes, however, could be improved to better match the overall quality of the resort. The beach was stunning, with fine white sand and crystal-clear water. I recommend wearing beach shoes, as some areas have sea urchins. Families with children should take extra care when swimming or exploring.Overall, Mithi is a beautiful resort and worth the price. Do note that convenience stores are limited nearby, with only small sari-sari stores available. Grab delivery is possible but with limited options. The resort restaurant is available, though prices are on the higher side. For more variety, Tagbilaran City offers shops and restaurants about 20 to 30 minutes away. Grab cars can be difficult to find in the area, so plan your transportation ahead.Final Thoughts: Mithi Resort offers a relaxing atmosphere, beautiful views, and warm hospitality. It’s a wonderful choice for weddings, family trips, or a peaceful getaway in Bohol.

We booked a 3-night stay here, and while the room was spacious, it came with a few unexpected downsides. Our first room was located at the back of the property, right in front of ongoing construction. This meant that early mornings were noisy, which we didn’t anticipate. Additionally, the patio/balcony offered a view of nothing but dried leaves and the forest, which didn’t match the expectations we had from the photos. To top it off, we noticed mold on the curtains, so we requested a room change.|The hotel staff were incredibly accommodating and moved us to a new room, but it took nearly the whole day for the transition to happen. The new room had a lovely balcony view, but it was a bit outdated. The air conditioning unit was leaking water, and it was noticeably smaller than the one in the previous room. Despite these issues, we didn’t want to keep moving rooms during our stay, so we decided to stick with it.|The hotel is in a quiet area, and the beach is beautiful and not crowded, which was a big plus. The breakfast buffet was decent, though the selection wasn’t as extensive as we expected for the price. The staff, however, were truly wonderful — attentive, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay.|Overall, while we enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and the beach, the property didn’t quite meet our expectations considering the price. The construction around the hotel during our visit definitely affected the experience, and the condition of the rooms didn’t match the images we had seen online. Perhaps we just booked at the wrong time, but it’s something to consider if you’re planning your trip.

Mandatory New Year’s dinner costs 4,500 pesos per person with no à la carte option — completely unjustified. The sea is not suitable for swimming: muddy bottom, murky water, no snorkeling. We were placed in a room with a view of bushes; the balcony door lock was broken, and the air conditioner was noisy. Breakfast is only served until 9:30 AM. For 15,000 pesos per night, the stay was disappointing — we regret choosing this hotel.

Pre birthday celebration, all the staff were friendly plus kenn receptionist was fabulous! Spa was very good. They made a nice arrangement for my room with birthday greeting designed in bed sooo beautiful, surprise cake, surprise band of locals had a wonderful dinner at their restaurant. Breakfast is perfect and all the food was in big serving. We will come back again. The whole place was very good
