Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza Premier (Tokyo, Tokyo) 9 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Tokyo has one of the most dramatic modern city skylines in the world. The brightly lit skyscrapers, shopping malls and neon advertising hoardings are separated by crisscrossing busy roads, which at night come alive with thousands of car lights — take it all in from the Mitsui Garden hotel, one of the only tall buildings in Ginza." - Tablet Hotels

We had a lovely stay at the Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza Premier. The rooms are modern and the size is perfect. I don’t know why people keep complaining about the room size in the reviews? What are they expecting, a studio apartment? The bathroom is lovely and the shower is really nice. The shower gel in the bathroom smells lovely. There is a bath tub in there too. The staff are friendly, polite and keep everything clean. Towels and slippers are replaced daily. The bed sheets are changed daily too and the beds are really comfortable. The staff also leave two small bottles of water in the fridge every day, tea and coffee making things in your room which is nice. The breakfast is lovely. There is chicken, pork dimsums, pancakes, sushi, fruit, salad, pastries, pancakes, yogurt, a range of juices and teas etc. It would be nice to have some tempura dishes but other than that I really enjoyed it. The hotel is a 6-minute walk from Shimbashi Station (where we mostly travelled from for days out), 12-minute walk from Ginza Station and 20-minute walk from Tokyo Station. The views are amazing from the hotel! :)

The best hotel I’ve stayed so far in Tokyo. Ginza is my most favorite district in Tokyo, and knowing Ginza as a luxury place, it is surprising to be at a 4-star hotel that doesn’t break the bank. I love the location that it is near to everything that you need - train station, Don Quijote, konbini, pharmacy, malls. The cherry on top - the great view of the skyscrapers of Tokyo, especially the Tokyo tower from a distance. I like how the room is designed to have a great view of the skyscrapers as well aside from the lobby. The room was quite small, but I do understand due to the limited spaces and such in Japan. Even though the room is small, I’d still give it a 5/5 due to the overall cleanliness, view, amneties, elegance and luxurious vibe that doesn’t need to be expensive, great toilet and bath as special mention. The staffs are very helpful and attentive. Their simple greetings and smiles are more than enough to make you feel welcome and brighten up your day/night. If I would go back to Tokyo in the next couple of months, I will definitely book again on this hotel, as this is the gem I’ve found. If the management will allow, I would like to have a special mention to Sue (I’m not sure if the spelling is correct). She is very attentive to me and helped me ensure that me and my dad’s luggage are secured, and of course when it was time for me to get the luggage. She is polite and made me felt warm with the little and quick side conversation we had. Hope to see Sue again when I come back. It is nice to meet her, and hopefully may keep in touch.Thank you management team for always keeping your guests welcome and at home.-Mark

The Tokyo Tower view, the elegant lobby, and the quiet surroundings were all great. The room was smaller compared to other Mitsui Garden Hotels nearby, but the breakfast was quite good. However, the Chromecast in my room didn’t work at all. I called the front desk and even spoke to them in person the next day, but was only told, “It might be because too many people are using it, please wait.” No matter how long I waited—10 or even 15 minutes—the screen just wouldn’t load. I even asked them to have the technical team check, but no follow-up was made, and in the end I couldn’t use it during my entire stay. For frequent business travelers like myself, this was disappointing. The service felt below the level of the otherwise impressive atmosphere. I hope the hotel reviews its procedures so that future guests won’t have the same experience.

The hotel's in a great position, Ginza but on the border with Shimbashi, and therefore close to Shimbashi Station, with Shiodome Station and Ginza Station also within easy range. There are many sights, shops and eateries in the vicinity. ||The staff were very nice and helpful. I appreciated being able to weigh my suitcase on a proper scale brought out from behind the reception area. An issue with the mute button on the tv was quickly fixed. The hotel is full of beautiful floral arrangements. ||It was my second stay, two nights in a deluxe king room which was bigger than the room I had the previous time and made it easier to re-organise my luggage, this being the final stay in a six-week trip. The attractive room had a fabulous view of Hamarikyu Garden, the river, the bay, buildings, roads and Shiodome Station. I loved it. There was also a sparkling city view from the bathroom. ||I enjoyed a comfortable king-sized bed, a great long desk/bench, lots of lights, a safe, a good-sized fridge, a large tv and a corner lounge with small table. A nice fabric artwork on the wall. There was complimentary water, juice, cold tea, beer and champagne. A corkscrew, plates and cutlery were provided. It was great to have a coffee machine, with lovely little Nikko fine china coffee cups. The machine was preset for the size of the cups. Each morning, a complimentary newspaper. ||The bathroom was well-designed with a separate shower and the nice deep bath with shaped back-rest beside the window. It was fun seeing the night view while bathing. One drawback was that the sink tap had very poor pressure for running cold water, which meant the electric jug or a glass had to be filled from the bath. ||The housekeeping could've been better. The hotel's branded writing pen disappeared (I'd left it on the table), the black tea bags weren't replaced, and one afternoon I found sticky coffee underneath a saucer.||The breakfasts are definitely one of the attractions here, particularly the delicious dishes cooked while you wait. Everything though is well-cooked, fresh, and tastes good. ||This was my second stay, and I will very likely return in future.

This is such a special hotel. The view is amazing, the location is perfect, the room was very nice and comfortable but what really took our stay to the next level was the staff and the service we received. It was absolutely spectacular. Every single staff member we came across was wonderfully kind and eager to help us in any way. ||The concierge staff even went out of their way to help us get booked for a sumo experience we found online that was sold out.||When we were checking in, there were performers in the lobby demonstrating traditional origami and playing Japanese music. The check-in staff noticed it was my birthday in a few days and secretly coordinated for the man who was making origami to make me a birthday cake. When he handed it to me, they also gave me a lovely card and gourmet candies. It was such a thoughtful gesture, I was truly blown away. ||We stay in four and five star hotels a lot for work but the service here was the next level. The people who work at this hotel are really, really special.||They also meticulously maintain the lobby and it has the atmosphere of a relaxing and elegant spa. ||We will definitely stay here again. Highly, highly recommend this place.

Let’s face it when you’re away the most important thing is a good nights sleep to enjoy where you are. |The beds here are fab and very comfortable. |It’s an unusual hotel in that it starts on the 16th floor but you get used to it. The journey from the street is very quick. The bar is beautiful, quite small but lovely and the signature cocktail the Karin is very nice. |The staff though all polite didn’t come across as warm as in other hotels and we were received quite frostily by one lady when we asked to dine one evening. |We tried several times to dine but didn’t manage. The system needs looking at so that patrons can do so. |The breakfast was ok an interesting selection. The dim sum were lovely and though I was unable to partake of the pancakes they did look good. |Great location for all things Ginza.

Google
Fabulous easy to access Hotel in the heart of Tokyo. A very good Japanese friend who lives in Tokyo recommended this hotel. I was pleased by the hotel’s high quality and exceptional service. From room cleanliness, to the morning breakfast, to even the small courtesy of providing an umbrella on a rainy day - this hotel was accommodating. My arrival flight was delayed, and when I notified the hotel of the delayed check in timing, the staff was polite, and sought to assist in making my delayed check in a pleasure. Thank you to the staff and hotel management for this pleasant experience.

Google
Overall, it was an okay stay, but the room size wasn't ideal for two people. The Good: The hotel has a great location, just a short walk from the Ginza shopping area, with a convenience store nearby and easy access to train stations. The service was excellent, the lobby had a nice view, and the staff were friendly. The Not So Good: The room was very small, which is common in Tokyo. We booked a queen room for two, but the bed felt more like a larger single bed, leaving little space to move around. It's better suited for a solo trip. I recommend checking the room options when booking and choosing a larger room if you're traveling with more than one person.

Yelp
This was a decent hotel in Ginza. Nothing special aside from the view of the city at night. Our room was pretty clean and comfy. I did like their bathroom stuff. The hotel staff were very nice and friendly as well.

Yelp
I would stay here again. The room was decent space and the view was spectacular. The room and bathroom was clean, staff are also nice.

Yelp
The staff was friendly upon check-in and complimentary beverages are included inside your room. The nearest station is about a nine minute walk and Ginza is a very popular area for shopping so the station is always packed night and day. The room size is cozy, slightly larger compared to a typical hotel in Japan and the view is decent. I stayed on the 22nd floor, the lobby is on the 16th floor and you can see the Tokyo Tower from the bathroom. I thought the room was decent until I looked into the bathroom closely. There was mold all along the tiles in the shower and underneath the shower chair. The mattress feels thin and is hard so it is uncomfortable. The control for the TV is very delayed. You can Chromecast to the TV, but ours stopped working on the same day and I was instructed to contact the front desk. For the price of the Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza Premier, the rooms are not as nice as I had expected, but an expensive area does not necessarily mean that the hotel would be nice. It was one of the more expensive hotels that was booked during my trip and it was the smallest, and dirtiest one.

Yelp
Absolutely excellent service Picking a hotel in a foreign land that you've never visited is daunting. We researched as best we could from home and went with the highest rated in our budget, and boy did we luck out! Americans, be forewarned; the hotel rooms in Tokyo are SMALL! However, Japanese are masters of efficiently using available space. After settling in we quickly got over our "size shock" because we did indeed have the space needed. I have to give special mention to the team at the concierge desk. We approached them 3 separate times during our stay for various needs. The level of courtesy and efficiency is, quite frankly, astounding! Unfortunately I did not get her name, but there is a shorter woman, who I'm guessing in her 50's, that was exceptional. It felt like our mom was taking care of us. I wanted to take her home with us. Such a delight! https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g1066444-d1082914-r539505751-Mitsui_Garden_Hotel_Ginza_Premier-Chuo_Tokyo_Tokyo_Prefecture_Kanto.html#

Yelp
We booked this hotel because it is conveniently located next to the Shimbashi Station and Ginza Station. I like the fact that everything is walking-distance. All the other tourist attractions are a couple train rides away. There's a Kobe Beef Restaurant literally next to the hotel. Also, if you go to the Ginza station, you will find Manneken -- aka "best-tasting waffles" and the alley next to it serves the best pork jerkies. These places are a must go! The hotel staff were very accommodating. They also have an Information Center for tourists and they are more than helpful in guiding you through your desired destinations. Everyone speaks English which is a huge plus to us.

Yelp
Stayed here for 5 days. The hotel is at the edge of the Ginza district. Great location. The hotel is 16--23 floor of the building with reception at 16th floor. Great view from all the floors. The rooms are small even by Japanese standards. The bathrooms are clean and good size. The linen is good quality. The rooms have free internet, but the speed is very slow. You get what you pay for. The front desk service is terrible. I had requested early check in and they refused to give it to me. My check out took 25 minutes for paying a room and getting out, just not good enough. 'The breakfast buffet is good but with a limited selection. There are many nearby hotels that are excellent so no need to settle for mediocre

Yelp
I've stayed at this hotel twice for a total of 8 nights and it's always been a pleasant experience. The hotel is located in Ginza which is well known for shopping but it is also a 10-15 minute walk from the outer fish market and many good sushi restaurants as well as Tokyo main station. The immediate area around the hotel is pretty quiet and commercial with a natural lawsons convenience store located on the first floor. If you're expecting a super bustling part of Tokyo(like Shibuya) you will probably want to stay elsewhere. If you want to get souvenirs to take back home there is a don quijote across the street. The staff is super friendly and speak English well so no problem there. One of the best parts of the lobby is the view, especially towards Tokyo tower. The rooms are small but that's Japan for you ‍. Beds are comfortable but the pillows are really weird. The bottom pillow seems to be filled with beans or something and isn't really comfortable. I was able to make it work by using the bottom pillow just for supporting the top pillow. AC works really well and kept the room freezing cold for optimal sleeping. Bathrooms are great. Shower water pressure is high and water temperature is very consistent. Toilets have bidets which have a learning curve but are very nice. During our stay we weathered through a 5.7 earthquake and the strongest typhoon in 50 years. The building was rock solid! Overall this hotel is really solid and I would stay here again if I wanted to be in the Ginza area.

Yelp
I had a great experience in Tokyo! Not only the city is great but also I am so happy that I found this hotel! It is in a best location in one of my most popular spots in Tokyo which is called Ginza! Great restaurants, malls, designer stores and etc... the price is very reasonable and they have great service! Their breakfast bar is pretty good too but it is not included. You have to pay for it but it's still worth it!

Yelp
Stayed there for 4 nights. Airport limo bus stops at this hotel so it is very convenient to/from Narita airport and the hotel. You can purchase an airport limo bus ticket to Narita airport at the hotel. The hotel room we stayed was not spacious but it was very clean. The housekeeping staff did a great job and very organized. The hotel staff was also friendly. The location of the hotel is very convenient to subway/metro stations and restaurants. I can see myself staying at this hotel agaIn.

Yelp
Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza Premier is one of many hotels offers by this hotel group. The hotel is within walking distance from the Shimbashi train station which is only one or two stops from the Tokyo train station on the JR Yamanote line and located in the heart of the Ginza District and believe me the Ginza district is where you want to be. The hotel is very stylish, with its dark and moody lighting in the evening and light and bright in the day. The lobby has big windows giving people a lovely view of the bay and the Tokyo Tower! The accommodations here are amazing not anywhere close to your average hotel and being in the Ginza District is a bonus. I highly recommend you consider this hotel, but at the very least make sure you stay in the Ginza District which is amazing on its own with the high end shopping district, the best restaurants, bars and plenty to see it is the number one rated area in Tokyo. I would say this hotel is a little more expense than other options it's about ¥37,000 ($305.10) per night, but the amenities here are many so don't confuse this with a business hotel. The staff is very polite and professional and work hard to ensure every guest is having the best experience possible. I found my room to be very comfortable, maybe they aren't the biggest rooms around but there is plenty of room for one or two people and much larger than a lot of the hotel's you'll find in Tokyo. The room was very well furnished with high quality furniture, beds, linens and a selection of comfortable pillow options. The bathroom was plenty large and the shower and tub were separate and huge. My room had a full view over looking the city that was absolutely breathtaking I was on the 24th floor and going to bed with the city of Tokyo fully lit and waking up with the sun rising over this beautiful city is something I'll never forget. I had breakfast each morning in the restaurant, the table settings were beautiful and the selection would satisfy anyone, it offered a great selection of traditional Japanese breakfast items combined with a touch of western selections for those that must have their bacon, eggs and toast and all for ¥2500 ($20.62) including all beverages and remember the gratitude is always built in no tipping allowed. I will definitely stay here on my next trip, the area is super safe I walked around the entire Ginza District well after midnight alone and never fell anything but completely safe. I hope you get to experience it someday.

Yelp
Was here on April 2017 and booked the corner room with the bathtub view. My first hotel experience in Japan after staying in a few Airbnbs. Room was smaller than I was used to and honestly barely could fit 1 or 2 luggages opened. Great staff and great views of the Tokyo Tower.

Yelp
Loved our stay here. Room on the small side (welcome to Tokyo), but worked ok. High quality linen and overall decor in the room. Bathroom was great, good size and I really appreciated the combination of bath tub and separate shower. However, considering this is a bit higher priced hotel, I was disappointed that shampoo/conditioner was the hotel brand and not e.g. Shiseido which has been the case in cheaper hotels. Perfect location and close to subway stations as well as the whole Ginza district. Would absolutely stay here again.

Yelp
For about $150 per night on major travel sites, this hotel is a bargain. You get a new modern room, with separate shower and bathtub in the bathroom, view of the city - starting at minimum of the 16th floor. Access to the Ginza shopping area with a Lawson and Family Mart adjacent for all your needs. The staff is very helpful in guiding you to anywhere you want to go. Maid is awesome, and breakfast is good but pricey option - so try once and go elsewhere another morning.

Yelp
Stayed at this hotel for most of this week. The rooms are small, of course, and suffer from too many rude guests smoking in non-smoking areas. The bar stinks of cigarette smoke, but has okay bar food, etc. The restaurant / breakfast buffet is - in a single word ... A W F U L Definitely the worst food I've had in Japan - and, maybe, the worst food I've had in Asia (China, South Korea, Vietnam, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, etc.). Service is passable, but certainly not remarkable in any sense of the word. All of the above said - location ... location ... location. It's proximity is great.

Yelp
I went on a Japan vacation with my best friend. Our first stop was Tokyo, and we stayed at the Mitsui Garden Hotel for 3 nights. The rooms are smaller than what you'd be used to in the states, but then again, everyone's smaller. A very clean and modern interior. The location is great- close to the Shimbashi station, and a 10 minute walk from the Fish market!

Yelp
The Mitsui Garden Hotel is affordable, the rooms are spacious for Asian standards, and the futuristic toilets heat your toosh (among other options that I'm too shy to delve into). The hotel begins on floor 16, affording every guest a spectacular view of the skyline from their room. The staff speaks a passable amount of English and they were patient and helpful throughout the stay. There are two full service restaurants and bars with diverse menus and live music. My one major complaint is that the pillows are absolutely dreadful. Two are paper thin. The other two rocks with pillow cases on them are filled with some sort of beads. When I requested more of the 'soft' pillows, the front desk sent 1 additional rock pillow. I was devastated. But in hindsight, maybe it's just part of the cultural emersion. Perhaps the japanese prefer this sleep method of torture. And who am I to complain? It got me out of bed bright and early to explore the city! Nonetheless, sans the pillow incident, the Mitsui Garden Premier Hotel was the definition of affordable luxury and a place I would happily return to. Check out my blog for a full Japan itinerary of where to stay and what to do! www.chelseagilson.blogspot.com

Yelp
not sure what the bad review is all about, but this hotel was awesome! granted it's a bit pricey, but then again, everything in ginza is expensive; it was about $220/night. but we knew we wanted to be in the area, be in a high-rise with panoramic views, and it has to be modern. this place fits the bill! service was excellent; concierge helped with anything and everything we threw at them. the area is safe, never felt weird wandering into the hotel late into the night. the rooms all start at the 17th floor, so every room has amazing views! we opted to not pay more for the room with the tub near the window as we read it just fogs up the window. so our room has an amazing large window and we slept right next to it. compared with japanese standards, the room was large enough for our needs (2 large suitcases and a duffle bag) for our 10 night stay. the bed was super comfortable and the pillows worked for my picky neck! bathroom amenities were high-end and the shower had good pressure. laundry service is crazy expensive, but so convenient. free wifi and good service throughout the hotel. the hotel is also really conveniently located between two train stations, so no matter which line you end up needing to take through ginza, you have a lot of options. the restaurant was good, we ate there our first night, and the dessert even included some gold foil, mmm decadent! :) i would totally stay here again, if our budget allowed. it's definitely a high-end hotel.

Yelp
Took the Narita express limousine coach 3600 yen. Dropped off next to hotel. Small rooms by USA standards. But good location in Ginza. Tokyo marathon was on. Night life was abundant with Magic bars and excellent sushi restaurants. Run down the main strip to the palace and get a good work out. Easy to get back to Narita on limo bus.

Yelp
The hotel has an amazing view from the lobby and (at least from our) room. Staff was really friendly, location is superb and cleaniness, furnishing and facilities of the room were really good. The room size was of course small (Tokyo style), but overall definitely a recommendation.
