Great location for seeing the best of the city. We drove in and needed to park directly in back of the hotel to check in and drop off bags. The baths were clean and pleasant with a nice view towards the castle. The staff was kind and helpful with reserving a restaurant for four of us on short notice. But being close to the big market also gave us many wonderful food choices, too. I would definitely come back here my next time in Kanazawa.

This hotel is pure magic! We had a nice room with a view, and felt well taken care of from arrival to our leaving. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, so we slept like babies throughout our stay! The location is also top-notch, which means close to any attraction such as shrines or the park. The onsen was so relaxing. Only drawback was the single-ply toilet papers, and this says a lot ;)!

This became my favourite hotel in Kanazawa quite a while ago and it's always a pleasure to return. The staff, as always, were very nice and helpful. I had a twin room this time rather than one with a queen-sized bed. It was well-designed and had a pretty good amount of space. The bed I chose was very comfortable and there was a choice of pillows. The highlight of the room was the beautiful washi paper collage above the beds. There was a small table with two easy chairs - with attractive patterned cushions - which could be used as a desk. Nice touches were a glowing wall lamp near the tv and a ceramic artwork by the door. My wheeled suitcase fitted in the lobby. The air conditioning was adjustable and the wifi was good. The area behind the entrance and the wardrobe shelf where the safe was located were rather dark - it was hard to see the different door magnets (do not disturb etc) properly. ||With the different-sized room, I had a different view - it included more of a little park with cherry trees blossoming as well as the quite interesting street view. The hotel is in an excellent location, within walking distance of the castle and Kenrokuen among many other sights and museums, with lots of shops and eateries within easy reach. Omicho Market is not far either. It's a longer walk but quite possible to Higashi Chaya/Kazuemachi, or the JR Station. Or, there's a bus stop across the road.||It's great to have access to a washing machine and dryer (on the top floor near the onsen), and my bathroom had a retractable clothes line too. The bathroom also had a decent amount of space. There was a nice deep, long bath. Toiletries were available downstairs in the lobby. PJs and in-house slippers were provided. ||As usual there was a great range of delicious breakfast choices (particularly the Japanese ones) presented in beautiful little ceramic bowls or plates, with lovely serving bowls and cups too. I always much enjoy the local speciality "jibuni", a chicken or duck soup, but everything was good.||See you next time!

We reserved a room with 3 beds and the hotel did not let us down. Everything in the room was prepared for 3 and I was impressed to the level of detail they addressed this. When was the last time the bathroom even had more than 1 hook for the towel? This room had 3 like it should! Considering Japan, the room was spacious enough with sufficient room to move around at the vanity. The breakfast buffet was delicious with variety of food. The location was convenient being a walking distance (20 mins) to Kanazawa train station with many stores along the way. Omicho Market is not even 10-min walk. We also walked to Higashiyama area (25 mins), Kanazawa Castle Park/Kenrokuen (15 mins). The staff were very helpful including any requests we made like ordering taxi.

Had the family suite which easily fit 4 adults. The beds and pillows were really good. Loved using the onsen before bed. Staff were kind and helpful making restaurant reservations for us. Breakfast was a smorgasbord of a variety of Japanese and western items in little dishes - something for everyone. Centrally located near market, castle and the garden.

I wasn't familiar with the Mitsui Garden chain, but this was a fantastic introduction. The hotel is located three bus stops away from the train station, so easy to get to. The design is clean, understated, and typical Japanese. The public bath on the top floor and laundry facilities are welcome amenities while travelling and sightseeing, and the ability to leave your luggage after check-out is a nice option.. But the most impressive feature of the hotel is the breakfast buffet and the option to use the breakfast coupons at two nearby restaurants. There are so many options at the breakfast buffet, both Western and Japanese, with many local options, and all wonderfully prepared. We wanted to try everything, but our limited stomach capacity stopped us. If in Kanazawa, this is the place to stay.

Beautiful hotel, nice style and located in a very good location close to the most touristic places (Samurai neighbor, Kanazawa Castle, the market...). That said, it was inconvenient that the hotel doesn't have a parking itself. You have to pay 1000 yen per day for a parking in a comercial center nearby (7 min walk). Rooms had scratches in the walls and were a bit dirty. Also the hotel was quite busy and had to wait for the breakfast. The bath was nice, and had some minor problem in the check-in due to family name and booking information.

I would highly recommend anyone to stay here if they are coming to Kanazawa! My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights and we had a wonderful time. The beds are comfortable, rooms are spacious (by Japanese standards). The rooftop onsen is so nice and relaxing and they even allow you to go in if you have small tattoos that can be covered by a dressing, which is provided by the hotel. The hotel has its own laundry and vending machines for drinks. There is a happy hour every evening with cheap drinks and snacks at the hotel bar/restaurant. The breakfast buffet is INCREDIBLE with a huge variety of delicious foods both Japanese and Western. It is very central and a good place to explore Kanazawa from.
