Where to Stay in Tokyo When You Visit in 2025

"Set in a sleek high-rise, I liked that rooms come in varying sizes (including a 'super king') and are well-equipped with instant-coffee machines, green tea, fridges, electric razors, pajamas, and bidets." - Matthew Kepnes

The hotel is nice and new but definitely not a 5 stars. Our room was nice, modern and spacious for Tokyo standards but unfortunately, not perfectly clean; compared to other hotels we stayed in Japan, this was definitely the least clean one. You could clearly see dust and dirt on the floor close to the window, which is not acceptable in my opinion. Carpet was also kind of dirty from previous guests. Not nice. Staff is nice and speaks good English, which is not common in Japan from our experience, but again they are not comparable to the level of kind we found in other hotels. Location is very convenient if you want to visit the city as it is close to the metro, every main attraction is 20/30 minutes! Good solution if you find a deal on booking/any other platform but not worth it if very pricy.

This property is not good. It's a 3 star hotel at best. No room service, my internet didn't work properly, the "city view" I paid for is quite weak, the room is small and has no space for baggage. Few amenities. I've stayed at other 5 star hotels in Tokyo that are light years better. The price/value ratio here is off. The location is fine, but we won't be staying again.

After staying at the same hotel in Yokohama, I had high expectations for my stay in Roppongi. However, the Superior room I’ve booked was smaller than expected, room was dusty and quite dark. Fortunately, the hotel staff is nice and kindly allowed us to upgrade to 2 Deluxe rooms; otherwise, we might have considered moving to another hotel to enjoy our stay. Breakfast was presented in a fine-dining style, and the staff were pleasant and accommodating.

The rooms and amenities here may be lacking compared to a typical 5 star hotel (maybe Google Maps should relabel this property), but the staff here are definitely 5 stars. I had a coin laundry problem during my stay. Two different front desk associates really went above and beyond to try to help. One came with me to the wash machine and did her best to fix it. The other insisted on giving me a full refund on all of my laundry expenses upon checkout. This is the excellent top class Japanese hospitality and services you can expect

Very convenient. Verve cafe, Donki, Hard Rock. Family Mart, 24hrs Izakaya just 100m away. Train station, Azabudai Hills also walking distance. Well equipped Comfortable room but may not have the space for large luggage. Self service laundry at top floor.

Roppongi area is not the first district you read about where to stay in Tokyo but this is a good area with good subway connection. ||Hotel from outside looks old but totally renovated inside. Quiet rooms inspite of being on main street. Rooms are not super spacious if you have big suitcases to open. ||Nice rooftop with bar and restaurant. We tried the bar but not the restaurant. You will have a good view on the Tokyo tower from the bar. ||Rather inflexible in terms of booking and changes… but it seems to be the style in Japanese hotels!||If you like walking, easily done as it is only 3 km to main station or imperial palace. ||Overall nice hotel.

I stayed here with my son in late October 2025. Everything in Roppongi is pretty much within walking distance but there is not much directly around the hotel. If you walk a block down going towards the subway station you start to see convenience stores and some restaurants. We stayed here because we wanted to be close to things but not in the chaos of Shibuya. I felt completely safe walking around alone on the sidewalks for the most part. There was a section, later at night that had a buch of men who were attempting to solicit people to come to their bar but nothing truly intimidating. If you have large luggage, it is better to take an Uber or taxi to the hotel. The subway station is about a 10-15 minute walk, and while pretty flat, will feel like a slog; and good luck trying to find the elevator in the subway station. Check in was fine although there was no one that spoke any English at the desk, we managed, but it is something to note. I was shown how to use an electronic check-in computer by one of the front desk clerks. You have to use your key card to use the elevator, and again to gain access to your floor. I had booked the room as part of a vacation package, and this was listed under one of the five-star hotels. The lobby is appointed elegantly, but it is small. If one group decided to sit on the couches there was no place for anyone else to be. The room itself was slightly over 300 feet. It was compact, but manageable. All of the extra amenities like toothpaste, razors, soap were kept in a sort of "amenities condiment bar" in the lobby for guest to take up to their room when needed. You have to place your key card in the slot by the door to turn on the lights. Unbeknownst to me, there was also a button under the slot that indicated whether or not you wanted housekeeping. When we arrived, ours was turned to "no housekeeping." I was completely unaware of it. On our third day there, we received a notice from the hotel that they needed to clean the room, and they explained about the button. It would have been nice to have been told about this upon arrival; I had assumed our rooms had not been cleaned because of reduced cleaning days. The lighting for the bathroom sink was pretty dark; there is no way that someone applying makeup could make use of the existing light. The bathtub/shower room is typical for Japan and was fine. The only drawback is that you cannot access the front door if someone is showering unless you want to see them naked. This was a big inconvenience for me and my son. When I first sat on the bed, I noticed a large round hole in the wall (see picture). This was a bit scary at first, but we figured out that it was to accommodate the wires for the lamp. There was a hole on the other side of the beds also, the table on my side was not and could not be pushed all the way back to hide it, so it just looks extremely tacky. The stay was fine, the bed was not that inviting, and the pillows were flatter than pancakes. By the end of our stay, I was in desperate need of a massage. The hotel has great walking views of Tokyo Tower and is within walking distance of Teamlabs. We did not have much interaction with the staff due to the language barrier. Overall, the stay was fine, but it was definitely not five-star worthy.

Hotel is pretty good, rooms are tiny but well fitted. Breakfast is a la carte in a top floor restaurant ,and very good. The dinner was disappointing and service poor. I would probably not stay again for the price I paid which was £270 per night, at sub £200 maybe
