The ultimate guide to shopping in Taipei - SilverKris

"A Japanese-operated outlet complex on the city’s outskirts featuring well-known brands such as Kate Spade, Levi’s and Uniqlo, offering discounted items in a more compact, easy-to-navigate outlet setting closer to the urban area than some of the larger airport outlets." - James Wong

This place is a God sent for the locals but I would not come this far just to see it. You can really feel the Taiwanese’s obsession with anything Japanese in this outlet, the dining options alone I’d guess to be about 60-70% Japanese. I’m not familiar with the history of this building but one way to tell how well a building is put together is to inspect the toilets, and from what I saw the building appears to be a rushed job. Cost a whopping $75 to get here from Taipei station on the airport MRT!

The mall is designed with a spacious and comfortable layout, creating a relaxed shopping atmosphere. There are also various dining options available, ranging from casual eateries to more upscale restaurants. Beyond shopping, the outlet park offers entertainment options such as a cinema and a children's play area, making it a family-friendly destination.

I had a very good time at this outlet mall. Flash sale prices were good. It's a bit of an outdoor walk from the mrt station (10 minutes). The picture I posted are the stores that are not participating in the tax free program. Lots of good food options and food court is spacious with lots of seating. The washrooms were also very clean and inclusive. There weren't a lot of bubble tea options in the mall but just outside there is a whole bunch of good options.

Google
It’s an outlet like usual. There’s so many products offered in this place. It’s quite comfy since all the places you go are pretty much provided with the AC. Things are relatively cheaper for the former products, the new release is still categorised more pricey. Overall, it’s a good place to visit! You can take a free shuttle from A9 Linkou station to Mitsui Outlet!

It’s Sunday afternoon and the outlet is packed with many people. Many trendy style of clothing and shoes in the new wing II. We initially did not know the outdoor mall has shops and subsequently found out they are shops of most brand names. Restaurants and food courts are everywhere for hungry shoppers.

Google
Huge, well maintained outlet mall near Taoyuen Airport, and 9 stations away from Taipei city which took 40+minutes and almost 25 minutes open air walk from Linkou station to the mall, if follow MRT instruction. If walking by another entrance no 1 will save half time. Anyway the mall is if for outlet shoppers will be very disappointed, non competitive price with brands, will be better for feast fans with lots of carpark.

Mitsui Outlet Park Taipei, located in Linkou, is a fantastic destination for both locals and tourists looking for great deals on a wide range of products. The outlet park offers a mix of international and local brands, making it a one-stop shop for fashion, accessories, and household items. Huge area, and there is a Mitsui mall, too.

Yelp
I'm blessed to live near this gem of a shopping center. I come here mainly to eat and am satisfied with the diverse amount of cuisine the outlet has to offer. They have Japanese, Chinese, and Western food options to choose from making it quite difficult to decide on a meal sometimes. I enjoy the fact that the indoor and outdoor area are well kept, spotless of leaves or dirt. It's an ambient spot for afternoon tea or a quick date. As far as the stores go, the clothing is affordable but hard to find "American" sizes if you're taller/bigger. The neatly displayed products make window shopping a pleasure too.

Yelp
Mitsui Outlet Park is a large indoor and outdoor shopping mall located in Linkou a suburb of Taipei. There are many foreign brand outlet stores such as Ralph Lauren, Addias, Oakley, Edwin Jeans, Calvin Klein..etc... the top floor has large restaurants along with a huge small stall food court and a variety of cuisines. Because of its proximity to Chang Gung Medical Center we eat there a couple times a week. The mall is much like one you would go to in the USA with a parking structure and chain stores.

Yelp
A pretty great outlet with a couple floors of sportswear, casual/formal wear, Asian or western brands and semi high end brands. There's bakeries, cafes, and restaurants. They even have a supermarket and bookstore. They have stationeries and gifts too. Reasonable prices and sometimes they have extra discounts on weekends. Usually pretty chill and quiet but pretty packed on weekends. Some decorations for Christmas and there are a lot of people that go and take photos with family, kids, or dates. Walkable to MRT (skytrain) and bus stops.

Yelp
I love coming to this outlet not to shop but to dine! They have plenty of shopping you can do here from US to Japanese brands. The discount compared to stores in US are nothing but good enough if you do live in Taiwan. The restaurants here have plenty of great Taiwanese as well as Japanese varieties. I ate at a few Japanese restaurants here and they are all top notch. They also tend to have activities on the weekends for children, which is great for parents. If you don't own a car, all major public transportations come here as well so you can easily get here and kill a few hours by shopping, dining and relaxing!

Yelp
With the new airport MRT (Linkou Station) just finished, the Mitsui Outlet Park is 1000% more accessible to the masses via mass transportation. From Taipei, take the express train to Chang An Hospital and then switch to a local train there. The times for the local and express trains are usually matched up, so you aren't waiting around for a lifetime in the station for the transfer. The outlet itself is about a 5 min walk from the station, but if you're lucky, you can hop on the free shuttle bus (which also makes its way around Linkou) if the weather isn't too nice. If you've ever been to a mall, the outlets is pretty much a mall, but with outlet deals. I noticed the prices weren't any cheaper than the normal retail stores, but there's deals where you buy one get one half off or some percentage off. A few of the stores will have you queue to get in. I saw Nike, Adidas and Michael Kors all have lines. The food court is on the second floor and boasts a pretty large amount of seats...for family members to lounge around for the entire day while the rest of the relatives shop away.

Yelp
I can imagine how packed this mall gets on the weekends, not some place I want to me. But it was a long weekend so we decided to give it a shot and surprisingly it wasn't bad for a Saturday early afternoon. We found plenty of parking, but the parking lot did get packed when we left around 4 or 5pm. At first I really enjoyed walking around because it reminded me of the malls in LA where stores are spread out. But when the crowded started to come, it wasn't fun at all. Don't expect outlet prices from like Desert Hills, but certain stores do have pretty good deals. Most require you to buy 2-3 items for the sale to kick in, but overall its better than the regular mall prices. One of the perks about this place is the # of restaurants, there are tons! But then again, they are all packed so prepare to line up. If I had to come here again, it'll be on the weekday and never the weekend.

Yelp
I'm always here for dining. It's been pretty crowded during weekend. There are many restaurants u can choose for food. I like to come during weekday with less people shopping. The parking has enough spaces for everyone. Recommend people to come enjoy food here.
