MIXT Salads

The staff is very rude, liars and straight up aggressive. First my order from uber eats was incomplete when i picked it up. There were only two items in the order (Barbeque Bowl (without onions) and Crispy chicken sandwich), the bag was stapled and ready to go, when I opened it, there was no chicken sandwich in there. And then they started making it from scratch, so haven’t they already just ignored 1 item from a very simple order? Then when i got the sandwich, I asked if they give paper napkins and disposable forks with the order, and the guy at the counter started being aggressive-defensive out of no where and started telling me to calm down, and i was just confused standing there. Like seriously Bruhhh? And then he lied to me that you have to separately order it on uber eats with the order (I confirmed it on the app afterwards and thats not true!!), so i asked if i would have to purchase the napkins and disposable forks and he said yes! 🤦‍♂️ and when I asked how much are they for so i can pay (I was desperate to get my food and get the necessary cutlery to eat like a decent human being, atleast). And then guess what the guy says, its free! Bro why are you testing my patience level!?! Well, after all the weird situation that was, when I opened the food, there were big chunks of onions right inside the barbeque bowl. So, they cannot even follow very simple instructions? I really hope that MIXT Salads provide atleast the basic training on how to follow instructions on the order and how not to lie and be aggressive without any reason with the customers!

Shoutout to the employees at this Mixt. My order wasn’t correct and I didn’t notice til like an hour later when I opened it. Walked back to the restaurant to get the correct order and they already had it remade for me! Thank you!

Delicious and fresh! Angel was very nice and polite. I really loved the experience and all the ingredients they have. Vegan friendly and for everyone that has a specific type of diet.

MUST try salad place in town! The quality and taste of their salad is exceptional given it’s a fast casual chain restaurant. We came to visit from LA and have pretty high standards of salad. In my opinion, MIXT is better than Sweetgreen hands on. The salad feels more fulfilling and has more generous protein portion. They also offer crispy chicken as a protein to go with many salads which is pretty unique and neat. We ordered: - Peachy: Seasonal salad with crispy chicken, peaches, grilled corn, cornbread crumble, pickled red onion and carrots. Tossed with sriracha ranch dressing and maple bbq drizzle. It is one of the most tastiest dressing I have ever had and HIGHLY recommend everyone to give a try. - Crispy cauliflower as a side: The flavor is again fantastic and has that same amazing sriracha ranch dressing on the side. Apparently you can customize your own salad but we didn’t bother to try. They have a few stores in LA too and I would definitely come back to MIXT!

I ordered a salad, but he barely put anything in the container. When I asked him to make it like he usually does, he refused. I’ve been a regular customer there — but not anymore

I love mixt. service is always efficient and super nice to eat outside on a sunny day. Quality of ingredients is very good, same with topping ratios.

Dave's taco bowl is always a huge hit for me. I went right at 11:00am when they just opened and they filled my bowl up! The food was fresh and delicious! I've gone later in the day and my bowl was only half filled so I highly recommend coming earlier in the day. The service was great, very clean inside as well.

Great menu. Nice staff. My only complaint is that the portion sizes are so little for the price! Regardless, I'd return to MIXT when I'm looking for a delicious and healthy meal.

I am wary of getting meals at fast casual salad chains as I've had disappointing experiences at Mendocino Farms and Sweetgreen, but I was tired of my standbys and gave into curiosity... I'm so glad I did. Mixt exceeded expectations in every way: a hearty portion (enough kale that I saved half as the base for lunch the next day), a satisfyingly flavorful miso ginger dressing, generous portions of fixings (Sweetgreen is the stingiest), and a spicy seed mix that actually had a decent kick by SF Marina standards. I would have liked the cauliflower to be roasted a little longer and I wish you could double up on the same fixing while ordering (so a second portion of an ingredient doesn't have to be added as an "extra") but overall it was a win against the generic sad salads I've come to expect at similar places. Definitely a repeater.

One hour wait for a salad to be made. Don't accept delivery orders if you can't fulfill them.

Ordered the Mixt Cobb and after asking me how much dressing I want, they didn't put ANY dressing on it! I was home when I discovered it and was unable to go back and complain. Very disappointing.

At first glance, I was a bit skeptical. My pet peeve with salads is not having enough sauce, and there was just one little container for a deceptively deep bowl of greens. The amount of chicken also seemed lackluster for the price ($19 with tax). But I judged too quickly. As I took a bite, and then another, it was hard to stop. I quickly dug into the salad, savoring the deep and varied and textures and flavor profile. It was so good. Romaine hearts, kale, crispy chicken, cabbage, oranges, spiced candied almonds, snow peas, jicama, spicy sesame seeds, fresh herbs, miso ginger vinaigrette... delicious. Do I still wish it had more sauce? Yes. Do I still wish it came with more chicken? Yes. But would I get it again? Also yes.

I ordered delivery from here and it was great! I got the curry chicken bowl. There was a good amount of all the components and enough dressing. They made the order quickly and got it to the delivery person efficiently. My only minor complaint is they forgot the utensils I requested, but fortunately, I had some spare ones at my office.

I really appreciate a salad bar that makes everything right then and there for you. We are thrilled to walk into this establishment knowing that the salad will always be prepared with attention and detail. They give you such good portions for what you're getting. I love that there are so many options to choose from. I go for the butter lettuce usually, eggs for protein, chickpeas, pine nuts, tomatoes. Kiddos get grapes and corn of course. The beets are fresh and rich in color which is a plus. I always get the pesto as a dressing and I really appreciate that they do that. It's such a quick and easy meal. The place is clean and bright. The staff are usually quite personable too.

Just ordered the Jing's Chili Crisp salad for myself and a few co-workers. We're all thrilled. It's absolutely delicious. One quick suggestion - two dressing packages would be appreciated since the salad is so massive!

I pulled out my bread and there was a bite taken out of it. I thought maybe it was a tear but it has teeth marks.

MIXT is one of my favorite salad spots. We don't have many options like this in Tucson, where I live. I've never had a bad salad from here. It's easy, fast, and convenient. I like that the salads on the menu are appealing to me, especially when I'm in an indecisive mood and building my own seems like a task. But the option to customize is always welcome.

Very clean and plenty of table seating available along the window, plus 3 spacious booths and outdoor seating. Orchard, Bachelor, and Harvest are my go-to salads here. I got $12 off my first order today for downloading their app. Convenient location near shopping and cafes. Pricier than Sweetgreen though, so Mixt isn't my first pick of salad shops. Complimentary cucumber water. One clean single-stall unisex bathroom. Friendly staff.

Ordered salad as usual from DoorDash-MIXT quality slipping a lot. Spinach old, wet and not edible on usual salad ordered. So sad that they are slipping so much so fast.

We walked over after finishing a rumble class , which I highly recommend if your tired of the normal gym routine and wanna try something new ! I got the grain bowl with "right rice " which is a protein rich rice made from vegetables . I also added sweet potato , roasted cauliflower , sharp cheddar , grilled onion ,cherry tomatoes , and kale . I got a balsamic vinaigrette and olive oil dressing on the side . My grain bowl was super tasty and I really enjoyed it . I also tried some of the elote bowl with crispy chicken . It was a little on the heavier side, very tasty too though . Great place for a healthy meal !

Really awful experience here. I simply needed to use their restroom and my friend had notified my prior to getting there that MIXT was allowing people to use their restroom as it was quite busy due to Santa Con happening in the area. I walked in with my friend towards the bathroom and a woman named Jasmine with a green headband and glasses immediately sprints towards us and says we need to purchase something. I kid you not she physically put her whole body in between the bathroom door which prevented me from closing it. I didn't mind and said I would purchase something after using the restroom but she immediately said no and told me I need to step out of the bathroom and purchase something first. I thought it was very odd that she was so aggressive but I wanted to be compliant so I went in line. Next thing I know the same lady is telling me the line starts on the other side of the rope, which was only 1 foot away, but she makes us walk through the rope. I definitely felt like she had something against us by then. I order my iced tea and she's extremely passive aggressive throughout the entire transaction. However, just when I finished paying, I notice other Santa Con goers were walking in casually lining up and using the restroom. Not once did her or any other employee stop them. So I bring this up to her and I ask why she isn't stopping them and her excuse is the customers aren't IN her bathroom. Just as she says this, they open the door to walk in and tell her they're walking in now and she deflects and instead asks why I'm yelling at her. Well that's blatantly obvious, because she didn't apply the policy to everyone so yes I'm upset. She then says "I don't have time for this" and walks away. Apparently she's the manager but it honestly left a very bad taste in my mouth and I've never been treated like this at any establishment ever. I really hope in the future if they're going to apply a policy, that it gets enforced to everyone. I didn't mind paying for a $3 drink, it was the principle.

I love mixt! The ingredients seem fresh and it's great for a quick meal on the go. Fun to make your own salad or choose a special!

They have good options to build your own salad. It's a great place to go for healthy food.

I went into mixit wanting to see how it compared to sweetgreen. I made my own salad and got it to go, but if you eat it there, they give you real plates and forks so it feels a bit more luxurious and a bit more worth the $20. Service was ok. But I think that they were just understaffed at the busy time I went in. I have to admit, the Chicken here is wayyyyy better than at SG. It tastes more "real". They have cool toppings that sweet green doesn't like oranges and shaved Parmesan, but definitely missing sweet potatoes!

I've been to many MIXT locations in the city and East Bay, and have no complaints about this one. The food was as expected, ingredients looked good quality. Nothing outstanding per say though I showed up 10 mins before closing (I'm sorry I was one of those people that day) but I saw they were starting to clean up and I asked if it was still okay for me to come in and they were SO friendly about it. I was helped by several people with no remorse. I feel like that's rare nowadays, and I really appreciated it!

Stopped by on a Sunday for a late lunch around 130pm. It wasn't very busy so I spent sometime reviewing the menus that were placed right at the entrance. After I decided what to get, I met the friendly team that asked me for my order, any modification requests, and level of dressing. Paid, and ate outside in the brisk weather! No frills and great speedy service!

Sizeable portions, fresh ingredients, and tastes great. So far, the best clean eats spot I've found in the area. I recommend ordering online at least 10 minutes in advance since lunch time gets very busy and orders pile up. If you sign up as a new user and download their app to order, you get $5 off your first order!

I loved that they let you customize your salad. They have many delicious specialties like spiced candied almonds, black lentils and butternut squash. My friend loved his chef crafted beetnix salad especially the slightly crunchy chickpeas. He'd prefer more beets and in bigger chunks. The staff was fast and friendly.

My office order doordash delivery from MIXT today. First time giving them a try and my salad was outstanding! I got the beet and arugula salad. (I can't remember the actual name of it. It was outstanding!!! That is going down as one of my favorite salads. I will definitely be ordering again very soo!

Salads here decent, many options but quality not as good as Blue Barn. But unfortunately my last visit will be it for me. Absolutely disgusting. Found a long hair in my salad. Some major qc issues here.

I order lettuce with tomatoes, cheese and a little steak and the cashier charges me $22 for a salad to take away in a plastic box! Mixt ? Never again !!

Welcome to the neighborhood! They are officially open in the Cow Hollow/Marina today. I'm so excited, especially another location to have the market plate. Its fairly new to the MIXT family but I love it. Salads are great but the market plate is the best. You can choose from salmon, chicken and steak with a choice of two healthy sides. They are all delicious and healthy too. Broccoli is my favorite, great flavor. They have seasonal salads and currently featuring the autumn theme. I got the Gobbler. Taste like thanksgiving, just healthier. Spiced sweet potato added the perfect touch to the salad. So good and pretty as well. I also think this location is the cutest among all their others. Wall art displaying "Bacon is healthy if it's on a salad, right?" It sure is!

I'm a weekly regular here. My food is always fresh and beautiful! I've had two mistakes on my salad in the few months I've been coming here. Each time, it's been taken care of. The staff is always a joy to work with, especially Jasmine. Thanks Mixt!

The food was actually good. I ordered lunch for a customer(5 days in advance) for delivery on Monday. Unfortunately this is the second time MIXT was late and used unprofessional drivers. "You are only as good as your representation" and these guys stink. My food was late, the delivery individual acted like he was doing me a favor when I am paying not only a delivery fee but a large tip. If you need to find a restaurant to deliver food for a important business meeting, I would suggest going elsewhere.

Service is swift. Parking is rough. Salads are routinely fresh and tasty. I like the "Orchard" the best-also like the seasonal variation. Fair prices. I have never had a grumpy or impolite experience-folks are always friendly.

I love takeout, and sometimes I want a healthier option. Mixt is my go to for a quick healthy bite. I love their falaf salad, I order no mixt greens, sub arugula, with light dressing, and a side of bread. I love how quick and efficient they are. Bonus: avocado added is only $1 extra!

I found a bug in my salad today :( you can tell the lettuce wasn't properly washed. Looks like I'll be sticking to Sweetgreen.

One of my favorite spots in the city! Been coming for years, multiple times a week! Big salads that you can customize so you can always switch up the flavors. The crispy chicken is amazing!! The tahini dressing is my favorite! There is nothing better than sitting outside on a sunny day in the marina eating at MIXT!

Good location and clean interior. The food was pretty average in my opinion. I feel like everything at the salad bar was something I could throw in a salad at home, and you have to pay extra for some of the better add on ingredients. To be fair, there are a TON of options, and you can completely customize your order. I will say that it was a large salad and it definitely filled me up. Overall, Mixt is a good place to grab a quick, healthy bite - I was just slightly underwhelmed.

Used to be the best! Then... Last 3 times I was jacked around on "portion control", management take note. Making your chefs upsell $1 for EVERY item, without REAL increase in portion is RIDICULOUS. $20.00 for a Caesar salad ? PLAIN? Dressing, cheese, and nickel diming EVERYTHING? The reason I had to start asking for extra is apparently management's mandate EMPLOYEES short basic ingredients for cost control. Your cheapskate nickel and diming pettiness has lost a good customer and this is reflected in my office and social community in this area, the Marina. Shabby and petty in the City... :( Changed to 1 Star after reading previous reviews. Marina Mixt will be closed within a year if management doesnt correct cheap, rip off crappy attitudes.

THERE WAS A WASP IN MY SALAD! I opened my salad, poured in the dressing, closed it back up, and shook it. When I opened it back up to take a bite, a wasp climbed out to the top. I immediately closed it back up. So gross.

This one of my FAVORITE places to go when I need a quick bite. Their bowls and salads are consistently delicious and fresh. And their staff/customer service is always accommodating and nice. My two favorites are the Zesty Bowl and Bachelor Salad. This place is a must try!

I gave them 1 star because i felt generous. But seriously their manager must have an issue with me. First we bought their salad quite often and found at least two items missing. How did they resolve the problem: by having their employees check with to make sure all the ingredients were in there. That felt so uncomfortable. Next he must have been mad at me from the last review that he blocked me from checking in on Yelp so I couldn't get the free lemonade. What a dirty move. I wonder in all seriousness how he even got the job. If you want to get a nice salad with good customer service then go to Blue Barn.

Salad is a raw meal that you really can't be cheap about. You need to trust that everything is clean and fresh. Mixt has good choices and the line moves very fast. One a week I make sure to get my greens!!

Do NOT order from this restaurant if you are having food delivered on the weekend. Their automated voice system is set up in such a way that you are unable to correct an ordered that is not right. You'll be left hungry and frustrated trying to get your food for an incomplete order. In addition their email response the following day failed to address that my food never arrived, just a casual "we're sorry but you will need to contact the delivery service". Too bad too, as their salads are really great. No more.

Unassuming corner spot but a salad-lover's DREAM. Satisfying portions plus your ability to choose what is mixed in. Everything looks delicious. Decent seating. Dining room self serve water is cucumber infused. Staff was nice. I will be back!

Just bought my last salad from mixt...portions are getting really small for the price

Completely incompetent. My fiancé and I ordered the same salad. His cane with chicken. Mine did not. Had this happened 1x or 2x I'd let it slide. This is the third time they just forgot my chicken. Also if you order pick up and they messed up your meal (like mine 3x) you can't even get a hold of them to tell them the issue and get a refund. They don't have a human on the phone you can talk to. And they clearly don't look at or respond to yelp reviews. Your only choice is to match yourself back in and request they fix it. Super inconvenient. Super lame. I'll never go back. Sweetgreen is better anyways. UPDATE: went to get my chicken and they didn't even apologize. I told them this is the 3rd time it's happened to and they just stared at me. Not impressed.

Updating my review after Mixt reached out to apologize for the issues. I appreciate that they followed up and were professional with handling my complaint. Thank you, Aaron.
