Enjoyed the family room and the location. Nice curry to feed you for dinner! And breakfast was good also. Would have preferred not to have to pay for shower just because we’ve taken it right after checking out (shared anyway).

Very nicely kept hostel. Clean and spacious. The shared dorm had 4 surprisingly large and comfortable beds with a curtain to allow for privacy. The staff were incredibly friendly, and invited you to eat dinner with them in the evenings and offered breakfast in the mornings. There's also a great common room area for reading, chatting, playing music, etc. Would highly recommend for anyone visiting Miyajima on a budget

I would not stay anywhere else on the island or even Hiroshima! This is a hidden jewel with a beautiful Japanese style room and sleeping arrangements, two Oncins, a Japanese garden with deer visiting in the morning and in the foyer, wonderful local arts and craftsmanship for purchase. The island has everything and Hiroshima is only a 10 minute ferry ride away with the tram being right at the Ferrie taking you to the center of town and straight to Hiroshima station if needed. We spent two days just wandering the island. Just remember most roadways are closed from December to March.

Staying on Miyajima was a fantastic experience. This guest house is lovely and felt authentic. A simple breakfast and dinner are served. We were slightly worried about having to share the bathroom space, but it was never an issue, as the number of guests was fairly low.

The best place we've slept into during our 16 days in Japan. The room was amazing, the staff was super kind and helpful and the location was both central and pretty! When we arrived we discovered that unlike the booking listing, they offered complementary dinner and breakfast which we were pleasantly surprised by. It was nothing crazy, just some curry and some milk and cereals, but that's all extra free included stuff so hell yeah! Another thing we found out at the place is that they have private onsens that can be rented. One is free and more modern and free and the other is traditional and costs 500 yen for 50 minutes. Genuinely an amazing time and we wish we had stayed longer

The 20-minute walk was challenging in the hot sun, but after exploring, I found a better route with benches, avoiding the stairs. I loved the private bath, plus the free breakfast and dinner. It feels like staying in a Japanese home. The laundry service is good, though the blanket was a bit small, even for me. Overall, highly recommended.

What a pleasant stay! Everything here is good. A very cosy traditional Japan guesthouse. We were warmly welcomed by Ryan. Feel like home staying here. They serve simple dinner and breakfast which is good enough for us. Hope to come back here soon!

We cannot recommend Miyajima Guest House highly enough! The island is very expensive so this was a great value-for-money find, and one of our best authentic experiences of Japan. Delicious vegetarian curry and rice and soup for dinner and a simple cereal/ bread breakfast included in the price were VERY appreciated. Ryokan-style family room with our own balcony and fantastic view, and a cute little "onsen" (must be expensive for them to run given no hot springs nearby?). Communal bathrooms and kitchen, all immaculately clean and generous provisions. Laundry, bike hire, commin room with TV. The staff are lovely and couldn't do enough for us. We were invited to join in a local community craft workshop making traditional fire prevention charms and we felt very welcome. This lovely little business deserves your patronage and if you like relaxed, communal, friendly travel experiences, it will not dissapoint!
