Kishimen (flat udon) is one of Nagoya’s specialties and this shop sells a really good version of it. The dashi broth has a good balance of sweet and savoury flavours to it and is great for warming yourself up now that the weather is getting cold. If you’re getting the set meals, I highly recommend getting the one with the kakiage on rice because it tasted even better than the kishimen itself. Crispy, not excessively oily, and they sauce they drizzle over it is like crack. Overall a good place to stop by for a meal if you’re exploring the Atsuta-Jingu shrine area, and the kakiage itself would have gotten 5 stars from me
