We visited during the week for 3 nights in April and stayed in one of the cottages which are gorgeous and slightly away from the main resort building. It was nice and quiet amongst some trees (the killer views are from the main building lounge areas). The main disappointment with the cabin was the surrounding lighting overnight was able to get in, especially the lower room was quite bright at night with no curtains only the traditional paper screens. April felt a little like an off-peak period for this resort and the region. So the whole resort felt a little on the abandoned side during the day more guests appeared for breakfast and dinner buffet, which were great but nothing was really open for lunch (turns out you need to order a lunch before 8pm the night before if you want to eat!) We were able to take the complimentary hotel shuttle bus, which doesn't appear on the English version of the website but leaves from Kashikojima station roughly every hour or two hours during the day. It would have been more convenient to be driving for this region in general. They have a fully staffed pool for an additional fee and hire swimwear is available. It was good (No tattoos sign at entry). They have an observatory which was staffed on a clear night and we were able to view the moon, Venus and Mars which was neat. Staff were all lovely and accommodating of our poor Japanese language competency. Overall this was a pretty good experience for us to escape to the regions for some relaxing wilderness time after Kyoto and Tokyo.

Lovely place and a lot to see in the surroundings. The buffet was packed full with tasty treats. The hotel is showing its age a bit already and the single plane windows do let in a lot of heat. Stayed at the Maisonette rooms in the top floor and the view was amazing. Seems like all rooms face the sea. The sunset I bet would've been great but it started raining just as it was setting. Might have to come back to see it then. Overall definitely recommended.

Stayed a standard Japanese room, it was just average experience. Overall, the hotel facility is quite old. The good point is its buffet, there are many options to choose. However, I want to address problems during our stay; I hope these points will be improved: - A futon is not clean. Someone’s hair is attached - The sauna is not operated in the morning - Game in the Game Center sucks. They should upgrade to new one, it’s too old fashioned

This hotel was the second hotel stop of our big family tour (11 of us). The hotel is definitely not close to the busy part of town and is actually in a serene area, if that is what u are looking for, especially in an outdoor setting.||Room: very nice and big room with double beds, small safe, refrigerator, flat screen tv, sink and toilet are separated from the shower/tub which had the old school Japanese bathhouse feel to it. ||Hot springs and pool (aka Aquaville): very spacious, plenty of lockers. Of course the hot springs is separated for women and men. If u shout loud enough you can hear the other side. When we went we had the whole place to ourselves which was great. Kids loved the pool!!||Food: for dinner we had the buffet and it was quite a large spread. It was not that expensive so don't expect Las Vegas or Macau type of experience but it had variety. Probably the only reason why I did not give this place 5 stars is the quality.||Kids area also had an arcade |Overall great place to stay with family and for peace and quiet. I would recommend if it's in budget and along your vacation path. Place shuts down at 10pm. |I would give it 5 stars if the food was better and the rooms were a bit more modern.

I would say this is a family hotel instead of a single traveller or couple. A lot of activities for kids, including a big pool (aquavilla), observatory, lots of outdoor space plus an arcade. The room is very spacious, definitely good for a family. Our stay was pleasant. ||||Nearby area do not have any convenient store, cafe nor restaurant. The hotel restaurant is okay and they provide dinner and breakfast in buffet style. The choice of food is more lean to Japanese style and the food are good. Refill was amazingly quick.

I would say that this hotel focusses on families as it is a resort. Although, our family of 4 was split on two rooms next to each other without connecting doors. The rooms itself were quite big but could have been cleaner (we requested a second cleaning). The children loved the swimming pool with all its features. They liked as well the buffet-restaurant.

2022 began. It is the hotel where I stayed at the end of the year.||Both dinner of the evening and breakfast were the buffet.||Tekone-zushi of the dinner and fishery products, turban shells ,steak were very delicious.|The room stayed in the maisonette room of the top floor. The 5-year-old son was delight, too.||The hot spring could go by a communication corridor, and there was it in the facilities called the aqua palace! |I could look at the very beautiful starlit sky in the astronomy building. I was able to have an experience good at all!

We stayed for 3 nights with our 2 young kids. We chose the western room with tatami area as it was huge but it’s on the 1st floor. Plenty of space for kids to run around. The room itself was a bit outdated, could do with new carpets. But it was clean. Beds however were slightly uncomfortable as the mattress was too hard for my liking. ||For those who drove like we did you’d probably have no trouble getting around. The hotel is secluded and there are no restaurants or shops nearby. The nearest convenience store is probably 4.5km away. The hotel has only one restaurant which I thought was rather odd being such a huge hotel. No lounge or cafes serving cakes or tea. There is a small restaurant serving light lunch (hot dog, udon, curry rice) at the pool. That’s it. I would advise those with young kids to bring loads of snacks and drinks and light meals with you.||The hotel has great facilities. The indoor pool was a huge hit and there are 2 outdoor pools. There’s a small game room too. There’s a beach nearby too. Calm waters and clean. ||Overall a great hotel for families
