Mizutani Camera

I was hunting for a vintage seiko automatic and I was glad to find my friend’s highly recommended vintage watch shop in Ueno, Tokyo , Mizutani Camera or @marukichiya_mizutani I was glad to finally meet the owner Yuta-san Mizutani and after a long browse of a huge vintage watch collection, I asked him to recommend me a vintage seiko that i had not originally seen, and wow! He showed me this vintage Seiko 5 Actus with a clean patina on the silver dial, making it look almost champagne, with my desired Kanji Day Date feature. Yuta-san was so nice, passionate, friendly and spoke great English with my very beginner Japanese haha what a great human being! I even asked him if I can have it on a Jubilee bracelet and sized to my skinny 6.5 inch wrist, and he gladly worked on getting that done at no extra charge! I brought my passport for the Duty Free Tax benefit (just ask and see if that will discount it) and he also showed me the functions of the watch and how to use it. I wear this piece all the time and is my new favorite as I wear it in Los Angeles but I leave it in Tokyo Local Time haha 16 hours ahead much love! Also my two friends ended up buying their first real watches from Japan as well which I didnt expect but the energy was great and inspiring! Cant wait to visit again soon and pick up more pieces from him!

Experience was superb, great selection of vintage watches in store. I bought this watch yesterday, but such in a hurry that I forgot to ask its history 😅. The owner is accommodating and helpful. Will definitely come back.

The owner and the staff there were very friendly! Bought two watches from them and they even helped me resized a watch bracelet that wasn’t bought from them! Owner speaks really good English and is also very warm and welcoming. If you’re looking for vintage watches, please do give this store a visit!

Stopped in about 30 minutes before close. It was a bit overwhelming so I told the owner my budget and what I was looking for and he was able to guide me very well. I am very happy with the watch I bought.

My brother visited this shop during his last trip to Japan and got me a beautiful vintage Seiko from here. Unfortunately the watch bracelet was just slightly too small for my wrist, so I decided to reach out to this shop to see if they had any recommendations to resolve my dilemma. They were extremely helpful and had a bracelet extender piece that would work with my watch. They shipped the extender all the way to the US and now the watch fits perfectly. Fantastic shop and excellent customer service, I highly recommend this place to everyone.

The lady who served us was very knowledgeable and kind. They were very busy but spent time with each customer. Watch offerings were extensive with the option to customise to your preference. We ended up buying an antique watch for around $150 AUD. The store does get very busy with not much space inside so would recommend getting there upon opening.

Originally came here looking for a vintage luxury watch but left with this beautiful Nikon F Camera at a great price! After describing what I was looking for and what I was willing to spend, the owner rummaged around in the back and brought this out. I was especially happy to buy from them because of their friendliness and the deal I received. Looking forward to returning to Tokyo in the (hopefully near) future and saying hello 😊
