I had a glorious week here staying at Hotel Odisej. The veiw from my room outstanding only a 3 star hotel however had 5 star customer service from NIKICA*LORENA*JOSIP* The director Lindita was also very hands on too! I planned to walk, swim and drink glorious cocktails at the beach bar. This was my first time to Croatia and my new go from now on. Ps the sea ocean water so clean good for the body! Don't miss the lakes....too.

Amazing island, it's small, only 900 inhabitants 😅. Ferry easy from Stone. Lovely natural park. If u love not to much people, 'I went early June, temperature was lovely and water not to cold! Didn't had to order for a table at two of the best restaurants in the island. It's 5 stars for me. If you a person who needs people, bars, more fun as Waterparks, dance, disco.... This is not your place!

The most beautiful island in the south of Croatia, with a national park. The park's lake and nature trails provide an unforgettable experience for nature lovers.

Nr. 1 favourite place in whole Croatia. An island in the adriatic where there is a lake, with another island on it, giving a location to an old church and a nice restaurant. It is a little bit like Bled lake in Slovenia, but with salty water. :) It is a real beauty of nature, could spend there a whole week.

If you are a nature appreciator, you will love it here. Everywhere you look you will see beauty. If you love loud, bad music and pop your collar, you will be bored in 2 hours. This is island is sleepy. Def not a party place. I came to the island from Dubrovnik. Take the kilro ferry to pomena, mljet. Rent a room at Odisej Mljet( bonus plug to them for serving vegan food) The park is a short walk from the hotel. It’s like 20 USD/Euro to get in. Lovely trails, nice and gravely. Gorgeous, turquoise water that you can swim in. So lovely. You can rent bikes if you wish. You can take a boat (runs every 20 mins) to St. Mary on the islet of St. Mary. Long story short, it’s a historical church on an island. There is a cute little restaurant in the park where you can stop for an espresso or meal and admire the lake. I really enjoyed this park, its maintained and it’s very well marked. No chance to get lost. Only thing that was disappointing is that there weren’t many birds or wildlife as far I could tell. In all fairness , I was there all three days in the afternoon when the sun was blazing. And Birds don’t like heat. Maybe there would be more action in the morning. Anyways. I loved this park very much. Incredibly safe for a solo, vegan , female ,nature lover.

We visited Pomena which is a small village on the island of Mljet in Croatia that is so quaint and charming you may never want to leave. It is still one of those hidden gems, but in recent years has seen a bit more development to make it very easy to stay, whilst still being somewhere that feels hidden from the world. The nature surrounding it and the national park make Mljet perfect for nature lovers and hikers. Daily walks are a must.

One of the most beautiful parks we've visited. We rented out bikes and explored the park until we found this beautiful lake. Water was salty and it felt like we were on a beach surrounded by trees.

One of the most magical places in Croatia, super underrated! We took the car ferry and spent two nights in Pomena. We explored the Lakes and Odysseus Cave, which is a MUST. I'll cherish these memories for a long time, and can't wait to one day to come back.
