We enjoyed kayaking, swimming and walking around the park. You can spend whole day in the park. Swimming gears, sunscreen and gallons of water are necessary in summer days.

Beautiful sea lakes surrounded by well maintained, organised trails. Fantastic scenery too. Bike hire too expensive so we walked around both lakes. 3k + 8k. Plenty of opportunities to swim in the crystal clear water. A great day out! Tickets cost €25 per adult but are valid for multiple days, so if you're staying on the island a few nights, you can go back in each day. Tickets also valid for 1 return crossing on the boat to The monastery on the little island where there's also a nice restaurant and open air terrace for a cold beer! All good 👍

Stunning. Very few visitors when we were there in July. Parking close to the lake, short walk to the ferry to the monastery. Easy walking as it is very flat, plenty of places to stop for a swim, good for Basic snorkeling, lots of fish, some coral. I wouldn't recommend the small lake, the water is not as clear as the main lake. Definitely worth the ticket price, 25eu adult, 8eu child, for the day but you can also go back with the same ticket.

It's truly a beautiful spot on a sunny day and great for kids the like to get wet a play in the water. I would recommend adult groups renting a cycle if you are there for just a day, as this will give you plenty of time to take in the whole park before your return ferry. Well worth a visit if you have the time.

Great national park! As for walking trails - if you enter via the stairs from Pomena then if you turn left you have the easier trail to access the small lake and small bridge, by the bridge you have a free public toilet and there is an area where you can rent bikes or kayaks (30€ for 1.5 hours) if you continue the route passing the rental place and the toilets you will have a stop for a restaurant (cash only ) and if you continue you will get to main entrance and there is another toilet and water cooler! Even in October it is pretty warm and you can have a swim 😉

If you want get away from Dubrovnik for a day or 2 come out here. The lake water is so calm, warm water, great for swim. There are other water sports you can do on the lake. Many hiking and biking trails. We did a day trip out there, I wish we had more time to enjoy this place.

Miljet national park is beautiful. There are two brackish lakes surrounded by a flat path that you can walk or cycle around through trees. There are multiple mountain biking and hiking trails up through tree covered hills above the lakes. The lakes were beautiful to swim in. They are very salty which makes it easy to float. The 2 lakes are connected by a canal. Water flows between the two with the direction changing with the tide at the end of one of the lakes. It was a really fun swoosh/swim through the canal between the lakes. And pretty safe to do as long as you are a reasonable swimmer.
