Mövenpick Petra

My stay at this hotel was generally a comfortable and enjoyable experience. The hotel boasts an excellent location, providing easy access to key destinations, which saved us time and effort. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-maintained, offering all the essentials for a comfortable stay. The level of cleanliness was evident throughout the hotel, from the rooms to the public areas. The staff deserves all the thanks and appreciation, especially Supervisor Ismail S., who was incredibly kind and respectful, making us feel welcome and comfortable throughout our stay. The hotel services were also well-organized and reflected a high level of professionalism.

Jordan is incredibly safe—extremely so. There’s ample police presence ensuring tourists have a great experience, and security measures in the hotel area are some of the best I’ve seen, which can put even the most worried guests at ease. We travel a lot, and while our experiences are usually great, this stay was truly exceptional. Everything felt perfect, from the welcoming staff at the door to room service and the hotel manager, receptionists, the spa team, and especially the restaurant staff stood out. A standout detail was the restaurant’s breakfast buffet, which is I think was one of the best in the we ever experienced. The room was extra comfortable, with thoughtful personal touches as they checked in with us to ensure we were enjoying our stay. The hotel is located walking distance from the entrance of Petra. hotel’s aesthetics are absolutely stunning. I couldn’t stop admiring the architecture, chandeliers, and furniture—the place was impeccably clean and polished. I cannot say enough good things about our experience. I would definitely return and plan to bring my family. We’re already looking forward to staying here again, as the hotel exceeded our expectations. The price felt reasonable for the quality and experience. If you’re visiting Petra, this hotel is a must-stay.

We had the most amazing stay at the Movenpick. Our floor manager was Ismail, he was incredibly kind and made sure we were taken care of! We had plenty of water, our room was always serviced and clean, and they greet you every morning. Jordan is so kind and safe and I recommend ignoring anything that says otherwise. The hotel has a huge breakfast buffet, which is DELICIOUS. All the staff again are incredibly nice. They have two restaurants and a bar and a free chocolate hour. The location is superb, legit right across from the entrance to Petra. 5 star hotel and 5 star service! Thank you!

We, extremely well traveled middle-age couple, are just finishing our second two-night stay at Mövenpick Resort Petra, and once again we leave happy – this time even genuinely delighted in many aspects.||We were upgraded to a very nice suite, which made a big difference. The bathroom has clearly been modernized: excellent lighting, a large and modern walk-in shower, and overall a very comfortable, well-thought-through setup. Bedding was comfortable with medium-firm mattresses, and we really appreciated both the ample luggage storage and a proper working desk – not always a given.||One small critique in the room: while the bathroom lighting and the new bedside lamps are great, the rest of the room remains quite poorly lit at night due to the absence of any ceiling lights. It’s manageable, but reading a book or paper anywhere except next to the bed could be a struggle.||Bar was great: during our previous stay we had eaten in both the main restaurant and the specialty restaurant, but this time we ate twice in the courtyard/ the bar and were genuinely impressed by the quality of the food. A word of warning: some portions are gigantic and can easily feed two, sometimes even three people. Great value, but order with care - food waste risk 😉||Service deserves special mention. We loved the attitude and warmth of all staff - starting with check-in. In particular, the afternoon/evening bar team was fantastic, and the manager of the breakfast restaurant, Ziad, and his team stood also out – especially the wonderful lady preparing the fresh egg dishes - as mentioned by otheres here. Service throughout the hotel felt attentive, natural, and genuinely caring - sometimes even too much ;-) . We always felt that nothing was too much to ask, including help with activities outside the hotel, such as arranging reliable drivers at very reasonable prices.||One minor point, which others have also mentioned: the air-conditioning system can be a little tricky. At times in the evening the room became quite cold, while in the morning warm air came out. That said, the hotel addressed this quickly when we raised it, and when it got very cold we promptly received an extra electric heater. For us, this was well handled and not an issue overall.||This is a very comfortable place to stay when visiting Petra. The location is unbeatable, and it’s a place where you feel welcome both before and after long days exploring Petra.||One suggestion for fellow travelers: if you can, stay at least two days. Take the time to explore Petra fully, go to Little Petra, walk some of the trails - simply spend two full days inside Petra rather than rushing it in one day – it’s almost impossible to do it justice otherwise.||Highly recommended. We wish the team all the best for the future, and if we return to Petra, this would be our choice again without hesitation.

We came to see the incredible ruins of Petra and celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary. I casually mentioned this to the check-in staff and they organized a surprise in our room - rose petals spelling our names and the number 24 and a selection of treats and a chocolate cake after dinner. When our room wasn’t ready for early check in they waved the fee and provided us with a complimentary snack while we waited. The concierge helped us track down some hiking poles after my husband sprained my ankle and sent ice to our room for the swelling. The concierge also organized transport to wadi rum for our desert time. The facilities were crafted from beautiful local stone and wood in traditional architectural styles and the location in relation to the entrance to Petra and the visitors center could not be better. Anas k the restaurant manager was very attentive and knowledgeable, providing us with excellent recommendations and general advice. Every staff member from the cleaners to the front desk, security to the concierge, all were genuinely friendly and helpful- wow is all we can say.This was hands down the best hospitality experience we have ever had. The room was extremely clean and very comfortable, everything you could want or think of, handmade chocolates on arrival, water in glass bottles, deluxe robes, comfortable slippers, lovely soft thick towels, spacious balcony. We went to the spa and our massages were some of the best we have had. We couldn't have had a better experience staying for our first time at a 5 star location and are so glad it was the Movenpick Petra we chose.

I stayed at the Mövenpick Petra for two nights and my experience was absolutely outstanding! The hotel, with its charming Arabian style, is perfectly located just a few minutes from the entrance to the stunning Petra site—truly unbeatable. Breakfast was incredible: an amazing variety of international dishes, a fantastic waffle and omelette station, plus countless sweet and savory options. Everything was served in a warm, inviting atmosphere. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive in every department—from the welcome to the reception—making me feel genuinely cared for throughout my stay. In the afternoon, the delightful “chocolate station” offering fresh local fruit dipped in chocolate was such a fun and delicious surprise! Dinner was equally wonderful, perfectly reflecting the high standard of the entire hotel. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, and the common areas were beautifully maintained. Honestly, everything exceeded my expectations. An unforgettable stay—highly, highly recommended!

We stayed in this hotel with my wife during our visit to Petra. The interior design is stunning, you feel you are in a palace, but the kindness and hospitality of the hotel staff is what transforms a stay in a beautiful environment into a magical experience. Be sure to stay a few days to have the opportunity of tasting all the dishes at breakfast and dinner. Local tastes will leave you speachless in the best sense of the word. The hotel also offers the best freshly squeezed orange juice! |Not only this is a must visit hotel… but we must return. And we will. Thank you once again for the memories we made here.

My husband's choice of hotel was perfect; it's a beautiful hotel close to Petra. The room was wonderful, very clean, and comfortable. Hamza F. and his team, Yahya A. and Jawad S., were friendly and provided excellent service. Their hospitality was unparalleled, unlike anything I've experienced in other hotels.
