Walking through the door and hearing the Grateful Dead piping through the speakers, I knew we'd have a great morning. This place is large and ready to feed the masses, but they extend very personal attention and are warm and welcoming. Our lattes were great! We opted to sit outside and people watch by the sunflowers blooming. Thanks for the morning's launch!

Google
We chose this place because they roast their own beans. It can definitely get busy here so I recommend coming early if you’re visiting on the weekend. One thing that surprised us about Moab Coffee Roasters is that they have a large chocolate section — we tried the birthday cake truffle and loved it. You should also visit Moab Made next door! Looks of neat artisanal goods in there.

Google
AMAZING COFFEE! We got an iced latte and cold brew 2 days in a row. Best cold brew around in our opinion. Quick and easy stop for a great cup of coffee!

I had been eyeing this place ever since we got to Moab and was excited when my hubby said we could come here in between hikes. I wouldn't call the staff unwelcoming, but no one seemed happy to be there. It was kind of weird. I felt like an inconvenience even though I was bringing in money, I was the only customer needing help, and it was hours from closing time. The inside is kind of shabby and really unremarkable, which would have been remedied with good coffee/service but it was just alright. Would have spent more money there if I was more comfortable. I'm not saying they should be grinning ear-to-ear and hyped to welcome us in, but maybe don't act like your customers are chores. The people sitting outside made the same comments when we were leaving.

Google
The friends at Moab coffee were phenomenal , they really made you feel as one of the family. Tasted the shot in the dark it was just what I need for the long drive home. Waiting on the bean from Mexico.

Google
Excellent espresso on its own and as a base in espresso drinks. Intense, toasty, earthy but smooth. Staff is friendly and very welcoming. Lots of seating in and outdoors.

Pournima B.

Google
Their coffee roast was toasty and fresh. When we were in town we used to go every day. They have best service and helpful staff. We also got fresh roasted beans and it’s really amazing. They serve yummy huckleberry ice cream. Everyone who is in town they should visit this coffee house.

Jess M.

Google
Staff was friendly and the coffee is amazing. I appreciate the amount of sugar free flavors available

Yelp
Great crew and great coffee with a local personal touch and really attentive employees!

Yelp
Solid coffee and food options. We had their drip coffees and breakfast burritos. All good. Was initially deterred by the bad reviews, but that wasn't our experience. There was only 1 person ahead of us when we entered, and we got served right away. While we waited for our coffee and food, another server asked if we had been served yet. The service was solid, not overly friendly, but sufficient. So not sure why the bad reviews. Bathroom was clean and lots of inside and outside seatings. We will come back when we are in the area.

Yelp
Stopped in twice, once for ice cream, and once for a London fog! The Servive was a 4, taste of the sorbet/ice cream a 4, and the tea a 3.
google avatar

Tiffie P.

Yelp
The coffee shop with all of your needs to start your day off strong. They have some solid coffee and breakfast options, including breakfast burritos and sandwiches. Not a coffee drinker and prefer tea? MCR's got you! This is also a storefront with some cute apparel and goods to commemorate your Moab visit.

Yelp
The customer service was very nice and so helpful and the ambiance inviting. I did not eat food but did get a bag of coffee to go. Yummy!
google avatar

Yelp
SUCH great coffee and fast, super friendly service! They also have amazing breakfast burritos if you're feeling peckish.

Yelp
Conveniently located at the epicenter of town, they offer coffees, burritos, bagels and a few pastries. You can get coffee any way you want prepared pretty quickly. They have lots of seating inside and out and they have a crew of young people that show up in the morning for WiFi access to meetings before they go out to do whatever they do when they live the good free living experience. This is a busy and noisy place and not somewhere to go for quiet or respite. Prices are decent, service is decent, nothing spectacular but definitely designed to get the masses thru as fast as possible. They always have a line but it's never long. Along with multiple flavors of gelato, they also have a Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory station so you can get some sweets. Very touristy spot that definitely serves a purpose. During our week stay we came here twice and passed by numerous times and it was always busy. #cashcow

Yelp
Me and my girlfriend unfortunately forgot a bag at the table of Moab Coffee Roasters, the manager kept it for us but with $200 missing. They claimed no one took the money! we are 100% sure the money was there! so these people are not very honest!

Yelp
Went here after trying 3 or 4 other places nearby looking for baked goods and coffee and everywhere was selling out and had super long lines, (probably normal for a Sunday morning in Moab but annoying when you're trying to get on the road) and this place was quick with decent variety of options. There wasn't baked goods that looked appealing like I was hoping, but I got an asiago jalapeño bagel with cream cheese that didn't disappoint. It was big and the dough was perfectly soft and toasted, but they only had plain cream cheese and you have to put it on yourself. They had some other treats and a couple breakfast burritos that sounded tasty with good vegan and gluten free options. The drink menu was stocked with so many syrup options, delicious sounding smoothies and average prices, maybe even a bit on the more affordable side. I got an iced pumpkin spice latte that was not too sweet but still flavorful and they even attempted to use some coffee ice cubes so the drink wouldn't get as watered down. Overall this place was great for a quick stop before hitting the road but would've also been nice to stay and hang out to read, do work, or even meet someone for ice cream on a hot day. Service was incredibly friendly, there was ample seating inside and outside (with shade on the patio) and it was optimally located on the corner of main streets.

Yelp
Amazing service, great coffee, friendly staff, & the facility was very clean. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Great coffee! Hard to find good coffee when traveling. Will never step foot in a Tarbucks. Staff was really friendly and the coffee was very smooth.
google avatar

Yelp
Really good peppermint mocha and cinnamon roll. My friend got a carnivore wrap which she said was very good. Very cute cafe with outdoor seating right on Main Street. The girls working at the front were very kind.

Yelp
I came in while having mild heat stroke and the iced blended chai with lavender syrup was the perfect concoction for healing me! The baristas were so sweet and quick too! I'm just passing through but if I'm back I know the best spot! Thanks for healing me!! :)
google avatar

Yelp
This was our first food stop in Moab. We got into Moab in the afternoon, and were just wandering the main street, and found this little gem. I saw espresso and gelato on the sign, and that was enough for me! There was a line, and it full of outdoorsy-looking people grabbing coffee and gelato. The guy who served my gelato was so fun. He was matching gelato colors with people's outfits. I tried the pistachio and nutella - they were so good, that I came back the next day for more of the same flavors! They also had Rocky Mountain chocolate for sale, shirts, coffee beans, pastries, and we grabbed breakfast burritos for the next day to heat up quickly in the microwave before heading out for sunrise at the parks!

Yelp
Visiting from out of town. Seemed like a cute coffee shop and they also have an assortment of yummy looking chocolates (we did not try though). Coffee was good but quite pricy. A 24 oz tiramisu latte was almost $10 which seems quite ridiculous but maybe that's just me. Also, I was told it only had three pumps of sweetener and wasn't too sweet but when I tasted it, it was extremely sweet like a dessert. It wasn't bad just wasn't what I was expecting. Someone else had the pistachio cold brew and that was soooo good.

Mimi N.

Yelp
One of our favorite places in town! Coffee is sooo... good! Every time we visited Moab we always stopped at that place first.
google avatar

Keith F.

Yelp
I stopped in for a double espresso. It was excellent espresso-obviously freshly roasted! I am accustomed to mega-rude/pretentious coffee shops, so this place was right up my alley!
google avatar

Sue Q.

Yelp
We are writing from Georgetown Texas! We were gifted the Medium Plus Roast - Full City Plus Guatemala bean congee and it was so good that we're wanting to move to your state! Maybe one day lol. Seriously it was so good that we ordered online. We are very picky coffee drinkers and some of our favorites that this coffee surpassed was Peet's! It's still our families favorite if we're out of your coffee. Second I love my red coffee cup! Sounds silly but it's now what I use daily. Yall should sell those online. Hope to visit at some point!
google avatar

Punake O.

Yelp
Loved the vibe! Loved my roasted beans and customer service was top notch! The burritos are so tasty and filling. Passing through to get home to Texas and had to pick up a coffee mug. Loved my dirty chai & cold brew!

Jax C.

Yelp
For a large roaster in the middle of downtown, you would think at least their service would be good...you. The cold brew tasted like ice water with flavored coffee syrup... it was really watered down. The London fog would had been acceptable, if you like your milk microwaved instead of steamed. We didn't get a chance to taste their food, but hopefully better than their drinks. Mostly would have been ok if the service was better. There were three staff one of which was cleaning, the other at the register and the third leaning in the espressos machine on their phone. Waited a good 5-10 min after paying watching them scroll on their phone instead of making a drink or at least acknowledging us.

Yelp
My favorite thing about this spot was the location and the outdoor seating. It's a super cute coffee shop that also sells goodies, treats and chocolate from Rocky Mountain chocolate company. The affogato was yummy (but then again it's hard to go wrong there). You get 2 scoops in one so I got the vanilla bean and salted caramel chocolate brownie and loved the chocolate brownie with the espresso! Sooooo tasty!! The staff was fine, nothing to complain about. Overall, would recommend their affogato as it seems like their specialty and was delicious!

Meredy L.

Yelp
Coffee is just ok. Nothing special. Cashier was annoyed when I asked for 2 shots, stating it comes that way. Soy latte was warm, like it had been sitting in my car a few hours. 2.5 stars

Carson R.

Yelp
I loved this place during my trip to Moab! It was the best in town. The pumpkin spice latte and tiramisu latte were unreal!
google avatar

YangHwa P.

Yelp
Okay, so I have a little mixed feelings about this place. If I can give 3.5 I will do that. It has a nice space, and nice outdoor seating area. Drinks were nicely made, and the service was pretty nice. The snack we bought (which was discounted) was a mess. The worker couldn't explain exactly what it was. The top layer was very chalky and powdery, and the main layer did not taste much like anything. I think it was best if they did not even sell this for a discounted price. If I had gotten fresh snack/pastry maybe my review would have been 4 stars.
google avatar

Melody P.

Yelp
Gelato, ice cream, mocha. Walked in and loved the smell of roasting coffee. I stopped walking just to inhale it all! There was something for everyone. The kids beelined for the gelato. I grabbed a mocha. The gelato was gone before it had a chance to melt. The mocha's first sip was refreshing. A wake you up kind. Very nice! This is a popular place. People sitting outside, relaxing. No one inside but us. Parking could be challenging, but it worked out.

Jenn M.

Yelp
Love this yummy coffee and gelato and ice cream spot in town! We kept coming back for the huckleberry ice cream and all their yummy flavor experiences!
google avatar

Megan J.

Yelp
This is the worst coffee shop in Moab. It's a coffee shop/ chocolate shop/ice cream shop/souvenir shop. I've gone here a handful of times because it's the most obvious coffee shop on Main Street and it stays open later than the competitors. The line is always really long. The lattes are always really weak and watery. It's loud in there and more of a grab and take your coffee with you destination.
google avatar

Giavanna A.

Yelp
Decent coffee. Service was ok, but maybe it was an off day for the person at the register. Cool merchandise and nice selection of beans.
google avatar

Travis T.

Yelp
This coffee shop is located in the heart of downtown Moab. We had been driving for quite some time and were in need of a pick-me-up. Moab Coffee Roasters is a decent-sized coffee shop that also has gelato, ice cream, and a chocolate factory. They roast their beans here at the store with a micro roaster that you can see when you walk in. Fresh bag of beans are dated with the roasting date (some with country origin) and are available for purchase here at the store or online. I got a cup of drip coffee for the road. The coffee was nice and smooth. Beans are organic and available light, medium or dark roasted. I want to try their bullet coffee next time I'm in town. If you want to hang out, there are plenty of places to sit down and relax. They also have merchandise and some grab-in-go snack items. Solid stop.
google avatar

Barbara R.

Yelp
The lady behind the counter was very pleasant, but the guy who prepared the coffee was very dismissive when we asked what beans they use. He would not tell us what beans they use, and acted as if we don't have the right to ask, even though they roast onsite! My husband has been roasting his own and is used to "talking shop", and only go to places that roast, so this was a big disappointment. In all fairness, the coffee was pretty good, just be prepared to move along!

Dawson S.

Yelp
We stayed in Moab for three days. And after the first visit I confidently said I would be coming back each morning to get my day started! Lovely and kind staff. Their bagels and burritos are great. The coffee was also phenomenal and carefully made, my finances iced coffees weren't overdone with ice, and my hot drinks were piping hot to ensure I could thoroughly enjoy it throughout the morning. 10/10!
google avatar

Gabrielle B.

Yelp
Great coffee shop in downtown Moab with amazing coffee, food, chocolate, ice cream and merchandise! Perfect place to recover after a night of camping. There's plenty of seating and I was able to charge my wireless speaker here while I enjoyed my coffee. Outdoor seating as well! It's pretty busy, but worth the wait. I also noticed that they have a vegan burrito, as well as a carnivore one, so options for everyone. I got a dirty chai latte with oat milk and it was creamy, hot, sweet and delicious. I really enjoyed the added cinnamon.
google avatar

Charlie S.

Yelp
Actually the coffee is pretty good. But as others say, the atmosphere is less than welcoming. The barista was abrupt and unfriendly. The shop was not crowded, so it was not a rush thing. I asked what the espresso blend was, and for the first time ever, I was told that he couldn't tell me. "5 kinds of beans". And as I mentioned above, he was quite unfriendly about it. I get it, trade secret etc., but I wasn't asking ratios, and I certainly did not expect to be treated like I was being offensive. I enjoy going to coffee shops that roast in house. Most small businesses try to welcome their customers. I have been to other shops that were not friendly, but in my experience, they don't succeed over the long term.

Yelp
Unnecessary rudeness. My partner and I work remotely, and went to this coffee shop to get some work in during our short 1 day stay in Moab. We aren't strangers to working in coffee shops and do not like to take advantage. We always make sure to spend money throughout the day. We don't even use the wifi since it's not sufficiently protected for work. The coffee shop was pretty empty during our time there. Moab in general is not as crowded this time of year. We saw the signs asking you to not stay more than 2 hours to let other people get a chance to sit, and so we decided we'd stay for a couple hours, and then go get lunch and then head somewhere else. We had trouble finding another place to go after lunch, so we came back after little over an hour. We figured it might be okay, because it's not at all busy this time of year, we bought more coffee, and we left for a while giving other people a chance to take the spots we had. When we got back, the inside was almost empty so we sat back down after ordering more coffee. After less than an hour more, the owner or manager came over and seemed like he had a chip on his shoulder. He talked to us and a guy sitting next to us and told us he wanted us to pack up, that we could sit outside, but the inside spots are reserved for people "who want to buy coffee". His attitude was palpable, he clearly thought we were being freeloaders and he seemed upset. Apparently he didn't see the coffee we just bought, or realize that we had already spent almost $30 there in under 3 total hours, and likely would have spent more before work was over. I don't even think he knew we left earlier. He walked away, and I even went and tried to explain that we had seen the signs and weren't trying to be rude and had bought more coffee, and he seemed pretty irritated and just repeated himself; didn't seem to be listening. My partner also said they had made fun of his coffee orders. Giving a condescending attitude and laughing. We would have appreciated not being projected on. I'm sure this place gets crazy in high season and that a lot of customers are hard to deal with, but we were far from inconsiderate and I don't think we deserved that tense exchange. If you want consideration from your customers, you should give it to them as well.

Yelp
Guess who went down to Moab and didn't request any time off? Yes, me. Because of this, I did have quite a bit of work to do while I was adventuring down south. My camping spot had very spotty service so I resorted to cute little coffee shops for my grind (you know that pun was intended;)). Moab Coffee Roasters can get busy. Which explains why they literally have signs talking about how you cannot be in their coffee shop for more than two hours. I mean, I get it, but people come and go, and as long as you are a customer, I think you should be fine. They have some parking right outside, or you can park along one of the nearby streets. Moab Coffee Roasters boasts a large patio right outside or they have some spots on the inside. I needed to charge my laptop so I had to sit inside, which can get pretty clustered along the wall, with everyone else that didn't take any time off of work. The coffee itself was okay. It was kind of bitter but it wasn't horrible. I had a much better coffee in Moab that you will see in a different review. I also ordered a bagel, which I barely took a bite out of because it was either stale or overcooked, or something. It didn't look or taste burnt but it was hard as a rock...I mean, like the stiffness of a crouton, but it was a bagel. The service was decent. I mean, they were busy and it was during the morning when I visited, so I will totally give them some grace on the wait time for my stuff to be ready. They could use some kind of visible sign that says what the password is, so you don't need to try to get through the crowd to ask them what it is. Overall, I actually really liked my visit here. I enjoyed sitting by the window and soaking in the views of Moab Main Street. It is really fun to be in a smaller town and sit next to locals and travellers alike. I recommend coming over to Moab Coffee Roasters while you're in Moab!

Yelp
Cute coffee shop with lots of variety. Got their specialty matcha pistachio and I can actually taste the pistachio flavoring. Service is super fast and recommend if you are going to canyonland and need a kick before your hike!
google avatar

Katie N.

Yelp
Came in for some ice cream. They have a decent amount of ice cream flavors. Portion sizes are small. Service was pretty good.
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped in Moab and grabbed a cup of coffee at a local spot where they roast their coffee beans. Great local coffee gem! Stay caffeinated at Moab's coffee roasters!
google avatar

Amy U.

Yelp
Love this spot!! Came in here a few different times while on our trip and the service was always wonderful. The employees are super nice and helpful, the coffee is solid, the pastries are yummy, and prices are standard. The outdoor seating is lovely. Definitely a good choice if you're looking for some good coffee!

Jenny L.

Yelp
We had a great iced coffee! Brown sugar cinnamon cold brew! Was delicious- they added ice cubes with the flavoring in them and it gave a delicious flavor down to the last drop!
google avatar

Julie R.

Yelp
Moab Roasters is a must stop in town. Fresh roasted cofffee in cool paper bags to take home for yourself and as gift along with a something-for-everyone atmosphere. Candy, ice cream and coffee all in one stop which is enough to make mom, dad and the kids happy.
google avatar

Gerald L.

Yelp
Very rude and offputting ownership/management. Such a shame as the place had potential.

Alyssa D.

Yelp
Did not enjoy my visit here. Staff was very unfriendly. I asked for recommendations and the girl at the counter was not helpful at all. Was met with bad customer service and received bad coffee. Will not return again.

Annie S.

Yelp
I stopped in on 6/21 and ordered a whole milk iced latte and was given OAT milk. I told the tall slender male barista and he told me that "all of our drinks are whole milk anyhow". I then wanted to make sure he got the other drink of half and half correct and he told me that "it's called a breve if it's half and half". He was snooty and then I realized after correcting my drink that I got charged for a OAT milk latte so I got my refund fortunately of the difference in price. The drink was delicius it's just unfortunate that the barista was RUDE, otherwise I would've given it four stars and the employee running the register didn't know how to do a refund but she did get help, perhaps she was new.
google avatar

Ellie C.

Yelp
A cute coffee shop in downtown Moab. The location is great and its right next to many souvenir stores so if you're visiting this is a good spot to grab your coffee. They sell coffee, ice cream and chocolates. The drinks are pretty average - I got lavender latte and they accidentally added too much syrup so it got a bit too sweet, but I love their coffee beans and how they name those beans. Would love to get an Arch flavor home as a souvenir. In addition to coffee, they also sell some side products such as mugs and tshirts. The barista was friendly.
google avatar

Laura M.

Yelp
My dad recently took a trip out to Moab with my brother earlier this year and was boasting about visiting Moab Coffee Roasters again! We got iced coffees and ice cream. Although I didn't have ice cream our kids loved their vanilla bean scoops. I did have a bite of Huckleberry and thought it was pretty good. Service was fast and friendly, and it wasn't too busy when we were there (around 6pm), but when we left they were pretty busy! We will definitely be back! Highly recommend to our friends & family. They have indoor seating, and outdoor as well with good shade. They also have a restroom for customers only*
google avatar

Thao L.

Yelp
Service was fast and friendly. The place is clean and they have indoor and outdoor seatings. There are signs asking that you don't stay longer than 2 hrs. Coffee was just ok, nothing special, but parking is nice and easy.
google avatar

Mich R. R.

Yelp
Puppy Friendly Patio! Great size. Plenty of bottled beverages to choose from. Hot & cold food available Fun touristy souvenirs. One 20oz hot Salted Caramel Latte, two individually wrapped muffins + tip less than 20. Great job Izzy! My hot salted caramel was Delicious! Thank you! (7/7/23) next time I must try a Moab Bomb!
google avatar

Yelp
Very good iced espresso! I came back a second time and the mocha latte was perfect. Friendly service. Relaxing vibe.
